( not counting Chrysalis. that idiot cost allot of Changelings there homes and some there lives. ) While most changeling are nice some cannot be trusted, i don't blame pony's for attacking me every time i set hoof near there towns. I would to if I had been in there position. Yet even as outcasts from pony kind us changelings are still there. you may not see us but we are there. Everypony fears what they do not understand. And us changelings... Well lets just face it... we are probably the hardest creatures to understand ever to set hoof in Equestria. Yet somepony's don't fear us. these pony's are called "Hive Experts" or as we know them "pony's who actually kinda like us"  its hard for us out there you pony's don't know what we go through to live. We can eat pony food to feed us also but it does not help us as much as it helps you pony's. By the time we reach a new home if we are chased from our old one, most of us have died either from starving to death or killed by the enemy's that we encounter along the way. Changeling ability's: As you probably guessed we can take on the form of other pony's and some other animal's, even some in-animate objects such as a large rock or a vine or plant. Changelings can sense movement And/or wind changes by using echo location. the holes in our hooves serve as sensors. But some of the ability's nopony else seems to notice is our natural way of communication. we can talk just by buzzing our wings. This helps allot when two changelings are at one place.  we also can use that ability to make a distraction. we simply buzz our wings and while they search for the source of the sound we slip away undetected. Someponys believe that changelings are bug like creatures. and in a way, they are right. while we resemble bugs on the outside. we are just about exactly the same as ponys on the inside. Us changelings are actually very much like pony's. though we look different we are almost one in the same. some pony's can shapeshift like us and for this ability they get blamed for being a changeling and exiled. We do NOT appreciate you using us as a way to punish those with our ability's. Our exoskeleton helps protect us some but we still wear armor quite often. the armor is made from solidified emotion. every piece of armor is different. if we use hate to forge the armor it can corrupt the owner. we mainly use emotion's such as happiness or love. love is the strongest so its the most commonly used. Some changeling's are capable of transfiguration. this, while similar shapeshifting, "Transfiguration" is far more difficult. when using "Transfiguration" you can become other animals such as a griffon or a dog. while some changelings find "Transfiguration" discomforting it is no different then standard shapeshifting. but it sometime's can be very uncomfortable being another animal with a completely different shape then you. //-------------------------------------------------------// Suggestions for replacing And/Or Copying a pony //-------------------------------------------------------// Suggestions for replacing And/Or Copying a pony When copying a pony try to watch them for a few weeks before hoof so you can get there style actions and behavior down. If you slip up in the slightest you could be exposed. Keep that in mind and carefully study you're Target Pony before replacing them. So far Pony kind has VERY little data on Changeling kind. so its hard for them to distinguish a Changeling from a pony. I would say its safest to copy an earth pony because they dont get important jobs like "WeatherPony" or "DefenseFromChangelings" Plus a unicorn has a magical aura that an Alicorn can tell if it has changed. If you are detected you will likely be put to death. You're hive cant save you if you're captured. if you get caught they consider you dead. so yeah. //-------------------------------------------------------// WARNING! //-------------------------------------------------------// WARNING! If you read this and your not a changeling... er... sorry but yeah you read this you face immediate conversion. wich in turn means you lose your pony body and become a changeling. this is just a safety precaution. if pony kind knew this much about us then we'd be doomed! And if we cant find you then one of our operatives in the Royal Gaurd will put up a warrant for you. in that case if they catch you. to put it simply. You die. Plain and simple. they just kill you. So ponys beware. If you're spotted or tracked down then you get killed so if you are a pony and read this you may as well just walk to the nearest Hive and turn your self in. Better then dying right? //-------------------------------------------------------// How to Shapeshift //-------------------------------------------------------// How to Shapeshift Ok. I'm going to teach you how to shapeshift and maby give a few pointers on shifting as well in this chapter. 1: think of the pony you want to shift to. try to make the image as clear as possible, (the clearness of the image measures how accurate you're disguise will be.) 2: after clearing up the image as much as possible use the shifting spell. (the spell cannot be taught by reading a queen or a drone (or warrior) has to teach you.) 3: once disguised use the voice changer. (this is the easiest part of being a changeling. all you do is think of there voice's tone and such then with there tone in mind just lightly cough. this is a way of aligning and setting you're voice. (or in the case of disguiseing yourself, there voice.) 4: i suggest you make up you're own "cover pony" that is basically you're default. once you have made up a cover pony then just use it like any other disguise. (but be careful with you're cover pony. you still could be discovered if it resembles anypony else) 5:even though if you wanted to you could pose as an alicorn but it is a bad idea. there are very few alicorn's and even fewer randomly turn up. you would have to replace a princess or a prince. (and that is a terrible idea.)
