//-------------------------------------------------------// The Lost Blade -by Deathstrike- //-------------------------------------------------------// //-------------------------------------------------------// The Beginning (Edited) //-------------------------------------------------------// The Beginning (Edited) "THIS PARTY IS AWESOME!" Rainbow Dash screamed over the blaring music. "Duh, of course it is, silly!" Pinkie Pie agreed while at the same time grabbing a huge cupcake off one of the tables and shoveling it down her throat. "I still don't think we should be having a party now. What if the Changelings attack!" Twilight worried. "Oh lighten up Twilight. After that last butt kicking, I doubt they'll be coming back soon." Rainbow said "Yeah Twilight just have some fun. That is if you want to." Fluttershy whispered. "Well... I guess it wouldn't endanger anypony if we take a little break." Twilight murmured. After that, Twilight enjoyed the party to its fullest. Later on she stepped outside for a little air, thinking about what the future might hold for her, and her friends. Then out of nowhere she heard a slight sound. It sounded like Rainbow when she did a sonic boom, but more subdued. Twilight looked into the air to see what looked like a meteor, but not as natural looking. It seemed very far off. Then it shifted slightly... right towards the Everfree Forest! It slammed right into the forest, a massive shock wave hitting AJ's barn. Twilight heard screams come from the barn, then silence. "Girls are you okay?!" Twilight shouted. Rainbow, Pinkie, AJ, Fluttershy, and Rarity poured out of the barn, startled, but unharmed. Twilight sighed in relief that none of her friends were hurt. "What in tarnation was that?!" AJ shouted. "It looked like a meteor to me." Twilight said, "Do you think we should investigate?" "I think we should!" Rainbow declared, "It could be dangerous." "Why would an old rock be dangerous?" Rarity asked. "Regardless we should check it out." Twilight stated. Nopony argued and so they set out in search of the strange meteoroid right away. After several hours of searching Twilight found a strange object. It looked like a sort of sleek except in a few patches that appeared damaged. It looked nothing like a rock, more metallic. Twilight called for her friends. As one they all gasped. "Hey Rarity, I dare you to touch it." Rainbow challenged. "Me? Why would I do that?" Rarity asked fearfully. "To prove that your not scared." Rainbow said while letting out a small snicker "V-very well I will touch the object." Rarity replied. She carefully approached it, and when she was close enough, she gently tapped it with her hoof. Thats when Rarity let out a scream of pain."Its really hot! Just look at my hoof!" On the word "hoof" a hiss came from the object, causing Rarity to jump back startled. That is when several small fins extended from the object, lifting it several feet off the ground. On the "belly" of the thing a small ramp lowered, with what looked like a door at the top. The friends were just gathering up enough courage to investigate, when the door opened with another hiss. Twilight peered at a strange looking biped, that appeared to be wounded. There was a large gash on its forehead, and numerous other wounds on the rest of its body. It had no fur, except strange clothes on its torso, legs, and arms. It had a mane of greasy black hair and yellow eyes. It let out a moan then staggered down the ramp. As it reached the bottom it collapsed to its knees, then to its face. "What do you think it is?" Pinkie asked a look of wonder on her face. "It appears to be a biped." Twilight said looking quite fascinated. "A what?" Rarity asked confusion plastered on her face. "It means that it walks on two legs." Twilight said looking uneasy. "Strange though. I've never seen one so weird looking. Where do you think it came from?" -- Many hours ago Arvikang walked down the hallways of his master's ship The Zealot. As he walked by, the lesser beings of the ships crew often stopped to bow. As they should he thought with satisfaction. One day everyone, not just lower ranking officers would bow to him. At last he arrived at his master's chambers. His master was one of the few beings that deserved to be feared by himself. Darth Logath stood in the middle of the chamber, probably meditating. "Greetings my apprentice. Was your mission a success?" he asked. "Yes master. The Republic forces stood no chance, I easily obtained the weapons data." Arvikang said, while pulling a small data-pad from his belt. Logath easily took the data-pad from his hand with the force. "Yes,very good Arvikang, you successfully acquired the data," he praised, "however I have a new assignment for you. A Jedi Master and his padawan have been a growing nuisance against our operations. I want you to hunt them down! You will find them at these coordinates. Now go." "Yes my master. They will be destroyed." Arvikang bowed and left the chambers. -- 2 hours later "All units stand by to engage Republic targets." the imperial commander ordered. "Commander, what is our status?" Arvikang asked. "We came out of hyperspace too early and the Republic ship spotted us sir." the commander said. Anger lit up Arvikang's gaze. He stepped behind the commander. Then he leaned over and whispered into his ear. "You are relieved of duty" and then ignited his lightsaber straight into the commander's back and then through his chest. "Great now it will take muck longer to capture the ship." Arvikang muttered while deep in thought. "Let this be a lesson to you all. Failure will result in your death. Now continue with the plan." Arvikang said with coldness in his voice. The space battle that followed was truly intense. Three fully armed Imperial frigates plus a dozen fighters, versus a lone Republic destroyer and eight fighters. Although the Sith task force was larger, a destroyer was worth at least a pair of frigates. The Republic ship fired primary turbo-lasers which flared brightly against a frigate's shields. Simultaneously two frigates fired at the destroyer, while the third frigate engaged the fighters. A pinpoint of light that signaled a destroyed fighter came into view. Then the two frigate's laser fire struck the destroyer's shields. Arvikang let out a growl. It was obvious that it would take all three frigates to knock out the ship's shields. "Lieutenant, I want you to take out that destroyer's shields so that we can board her." Arvikang ordered. The lieutenant relayed the message through the task force. A second later the frigates combined fire drove the destroyer into the atmosphere of the nearby planet. "Prepare to board her now!" Arvikang commanded. Soon after several boarding ships headed straight for the Republic vessel. Pleased to see his order being carried out Arvikang headed to his own personal Fury-Class Interceptor. Inside he powered up and took off, heading straight for the destroyer. The battle was going quite well, the destroyer stuck right in a planets atmosphere. It would have been nice just to turn the entire Republic ship to dust, but Arvikang wanted to be certain that the Jedi was dead. Even though he didn't need the extra support from the Imperial Marines, it was useful to have them. It just meant he could hunt down the Jedi even faster. He flew down into the atmosphere, noticing a very burned and damaged piece of hull. Targeting it Arvikang fired a pair of proton torpedoes. The high explosive devices impacted right where he wanted it. It blasted a nice hole in the ship, which Arvikang easily used to get aboard. On the inside of the hole, there were several charred bodies and lots of debris. He smiled at the easiness of this. All he had to was find someone who knew where the Jedi and his padawan were. Thats when one of the charred bodies let out a loud moan. Arvikang came up to the person and lifted him off his back and into the air with the force. "Where is the Jedi?" Arvikang growled. "I-I'll never tell." the man spat. Arvikang merely gazed deep into the man's eyes. Suddenly he let out a shrill scream. "Please oh please end the horrors! Oh god he's on the bridge! Please end them, end the horror!" he screamed Arvikang pulled out one of his lightsabers and buried it deep into the man's chest. With a low groan the man went limp. Arvikang dropped his hand and the corpse fell to the ground. Then Arvikang simply turned and started making his way towards the bridge. As he walked down the almost quiet halls, a Republic security team rounded the corner. One of them yelled "Sith!". Oh yes point out the obvious Arvikang thought. He pulled out both lightsabers and charged towards them. They all tried to fire their weapons, but it was no use. When they fired Arvikang merely dodged it or deflected it back at them. When within range Arvikang lashed out with his weapons. The first fool to die, tried to bash Arvikang with the butt of his rifle. Arvikang merely sheared through the soldier's weapon and in the same blow sheared through his arm. As the soldier screamed in agony, Arvikang pulled him in front of himself, just as the rest of the security team fired their rifles. The wounded soldier absorbed all the rounds for Arvikang until he stopped screaming. Then Arvikang threw the body at two of the soldiers and charged again. He cut down two of them then made a fist with one hand. One of the soldiers began choking to death and then there was a snap as his windpipe and bones gave-out. He kept slicing and stabbing until only three security officers were left. Suddenly one pulled a small round device from her belt. Arvikang's eyes widened as he realized she had a thermal detonator. With a triumphant smile on her face she threw it right at him. BOOM! The large explosion threw Arvikang back several feet. Luckily he was able to use the force to shield himself from part of the blast, though he still felt like a rancor had bowled him over. The Republic soldiers approached carefully, weapons ready to turn Arvikang into dust. He staggered to his feet, when he heard the blasters click in preparation to fire. And the worst part was that he couldn't find either of his lightsabers. Thats when something flipped deep inside of Arvikang, that primal surge to live no matter the cost. With a rage induced force scream he sent all three troopers flying through the hallway. With a growl he sent lightning from his hands and fingers, catching all three soldiers in a web of energy. In a matter of seconds their agonized screams faded to low moans and then stopped all together. Arvikang allowed the lightning to fade, and the three smoking corpses fell to the ground. The rush of power faded and after finding his lightsabers Arvikang continued his hunt for the Jedi master. Finally he reached the door to the bridge. The downside was that the bridge was guarded by the Jedi's padawan. "Out of my way Jedi, I was sent for your master, but I will kill you too!" Arvikang hissed. "I'm afraid I can't do that, you see my master is commanding our forces and with him leading it, your fleet is finished. My master has commanded me to stop you by any means. Now please lay down your lightsabers. I promise that the Jedi Council will give you every chance for redemption." the padawan replied. "You mean corrupt my mind?! Never!" Arvikang yelled. With that, both apprentices ignited lightsabers and with furious battle cries, charged each other. At first it seemed the Padawan had the upper-hand, but Arvikang kept matching blow for blow. With an overhead swing Arvikang skimmed the side of the Padawan's arm. With a growl the Padawan sent a force push straight at Arvikang. He went flying backwards until he slammed into a glass view-port. There was no way that Arvikang could kill this padawan soon enough. By the time he did the master would destroy the Imperial task force. Then he glanced at the view port. Maybe there was another way. With a force enhanced leap Arvikang sailed straight over the padawan. Then with all the power he could muster, Arvikang blasted the Padawan through the air. The Padawan slammed very hard against the glass, causing cracks to appear... Then more cracks and then more until the glass gave away, sending the padawan flying out and into the sky. As he flew out his screams of fear became more and more distant until a protective blast shield slammed down right in front of the view port. Finally now Arvikang could confront the Jedi Master. He hoped that the Jedi was ready... Authors note: This is my first story so please go easy on the comments. However constructive criticism is encouraged. //-------------------------------------------------------// The Duel and ... Ponies!? //-------------------------------------------------------// The Duel and ... Ponies!? As Arvikang entered the bridge he noticed that all the crew members were gone. Except of course the Jedi master standing at the command console. Arvikang cleared his throat, and the Jedi whirled around. "Sith! But thats impossible, my padawan should have defeated you!" the Jedi exclaimed in shock. Without even answering Arvikang launched himself at the Jedi, attempting to kill him with a single strike. With a grunt the Jedi deflected the blow, while at the same time launching a force push at Arvikang. It slammed into him with a large cracking sound, meaning it had broken some ribs. As he landed Arvikang threw himself at the Jedi again attempiting a feint. The Jedi only dodged to one side and sliced his lightsaber across Arvikangs belly. Fortunately, Arvikang leaped backwards only getting a nick on the stomach. With a grunt of pain Arvikang renewed his efforts, but it was futile, as the Jedi was a master of the light side. Now the Jedi went on the offensive, attacking furiously and with all his power. The only reason Arvikang wasen't cut down was that he had two lightsabers, therefore enabling him to block two postions at once. Suddenly, there was a deep rumbling and a laser blast struck the bridge with a glancing blow. A side of the bridge exploded sending debris every where. A sharp piece of shrapnel flew out, and struck Arvikang on the forhead. It easily sliced through his skin, and began bleeding very badly. Some of the blood then ran into Arvikang's eyes, momentarily blinding him. Thats when he felt the Jedi's lightsaber stab into his gut. With a low groan he fell to the ground in complete agony. Suddenly he heard a voice over the radio. It was fuzzy, but it said something about dropping a seismic charge onto the ship. He managed to raise his head slightly to see an Imperial bomber coming in hot. He saw the bay doors open and various bombs and torpedoes fall out and slam into the destroyer. Then a seismic charge came out, just as an anti-air gun hit the bomber. It caused the seismic charge to go off target... right into the bridge! With pain in every movement Arvikang struggled to his feet and ran as fast as possible. then the charge detonated sending a wave of energy out that smashed through everything it hit. A shockwave hit Arvikang and sent him spiraling out into the sky! With bitterness he thought of the padawan and how he had died. Arvikang was sure he would die too, when he saw a large metal plate. Using the force he managed to grasp onto and even stand on the plate. Suddenly the Jedi slammed down right in front of Arvikang, who was very shocked. With a roar the Jedi charged Arvikang, but he had other priorties, like say staying alive. He signaled his ship, which was currently on auto-pilot and jumped off the plate. Just as he did his ship swooped under him, catching him neatly. Just then the plate crashed into the ground. The Jedi was now a pancake. With a grunt he entered the interceptor, still in pain. He managed to patch up his gut wound with Kolto a rare healing medicine found only on a few planets, although it still hurt. BEEP BEEP! Arvikang whirled around when he heard the warning that signaled someone had a lock on him. He ran to the console just as a missile exploded against his ship. With a hiss of frustration and no time to plot a hyper jump, he randomly pressed a button allowing him to jump immediately. Just before he jumped though a rogue blast of energy hit his ship causing Arvikang to lurch forward and alam his head against a chair, sending stars across his vision and making him go unconscious. When he awoke he saw a small planet, with many patches of green. Bam! Something slammed into his ship, sending Arvikang flying sideways. He looked out the window expecting to see a Republic fighter, or maybe a pirate ship. Instead it was a large rock that had come from the planets small moon. Next a larger rock hit his ship practically crippling it, as he was sent spinning out of control down to the planet. Unfortunately, without shields and very little power he barely survived the decent itself, his ship's interior heating to a dangerous boil. Then with a wrenching of metal his ship slammed into the ground throwing Arvikang forward, and once again knocking him unconscious. When he came too, the first thing he registered was that he felt like hell. The second was that he was in a forest of some sort. The third was that six strange creatures were outside his ship. They appeared to be equine in nature, though more intelligent. They studied the craft until one approached his ship -apparently after encouragement from another- and gently tapped it. The equestrian jumped back, and began talking to its companions. With a pained chuckle he pressed the button to engage the landing gear. He staggerd to the entry ramp, but just barely, seeing as he felt he would pass out again. The ramp lowered and the door opened and he staggered down the ramp. The equestrians were farther back than before. Arvikang then late out a moan of pain and then collapsed to the ground, as blackness swallowed him up. --Three hours later. Twilight and the girls were worried. The biped was still out cold, though it was stable. Meanwhile Twilight decided she wanted to find out more about this thing. Finally after ten minutes of searching she found a book on bipeds. She searched and searched, but nothing could be found on the one that she and the girls had found. Then she came to a strange looking sketch. It was weird because all of the previous pictures had been clear, well detailed photographs, but this looked like it came from a cave painting or something. The entry called it a "human", a creature from myth and legend. According to the entry, thousands of years ago strange beings came from the sky calling themselves "humans". These creatures brought an era of peace and prosperity to Equestria. Then a different type of human came to Equestria, bringing war and chaos in their wake. Thousands were killed and hundreds more were recruited on both sides good and evil to fight their war. Finally in desperation the ruler of Equestria united earth ponies, pegasi, unicorns, griffins and every other inhabitant on the planet and drove both factions off of Equestria. Supposedly these factions called themselves Jedi and Sith. Though few believed these legends some scholars speculate that there might be some truth to them.Suddenly a low moan came from the bi... no human. Fluttershy bent over the human with concern. She opened her mouth to say something when his eyes popped open. With a roar he grabbed Fluttershy by the throat. She let out a squeak of fear as the human growled into her face. "Where am I!? Tell me now!" he growled. When he didn't get an immediate response he threw Fluttershy against the ground. "Hey what do you think your doin- ack!" Rainbow tried to say, but was cut off when the human raised his appendages attached to his arm and she began choking. "Stop this, please!" Twilight begged. "Very well, but I command you to take me to your leader." he said coldly while releasing Rainbow. "I can't just take you in unanou-" Twilight began, but before she could finish the human pulled a strange tubular device from his belt. He pressed a button and a long blood-red blade sprouted out. "Okay I'll take you to the Princess." she said immediatly, fear melting her resolve away. But Rainbow was still up to resisting. " Come on Twi we can take him. Its just a harmless glow stick." In response the Human sliced the his weapon over Rainbow's head sending lots of hair down to the ground. "Yes a harmless glow stick." he said coldly bringing the weapon around so that the tip almost touched Rainbow's throat. " Unless you want your friend to go about without a head purple creature I suggest you lead me to your ruler now!" the Human growled to Twilight. Without another word Twilight charged up a burst of energy to teleport herself and the Human to Canterlot. -- Arvikang's POV Finnally he were making progress. After... reasoning with the equestrians the purple one who the others refered to as Twilight, agreed to take him to this Princess Celestia. Then Twilight spoke to him "Do you have a name?" she asked quietly. Arvikang hestiated then shrugged "Mabye I'll tell you later, mabye I won't." She seemed satisfied with this answer and they continued walking in silence. As they passed diffrent members of Twilight's species they stared at Arvikang. It made him uncomfortable, but he didn't know why. Finnally after what seemed like hours they reached a large castle. A squadron of guards stood in front of a large golden gate. "Halt in the name of the Royal Guard." one guard demanded. "Please Captain this... human wishes to speak to the Princess." Twilight said cheerfully. "Sorry Ms.Sparkle I can't let you pass with that thing." the captain nodded to Arvikang. "Captain this "thing" can hurt you very badly." she begged. "Well even if it tries it will not get to th- hey you stop, don't come any closer!" the captain ordered as Arvikang approached him. Then gently he reached over and touched the captain on the forhead. Immediatly he became Arvikang's slave. Turning to the other guards the captain commanded in a mindless voice. "Let the thing through now." One of the guards tried to reason with him, but was silenced with a sharp "follow my orders" fron the captain. After Arvikang and Twilight walked past and into the castle a ways the captain snapped out of his trance "What happened?" he groaned. "You let Ms.Sparkle and that "human" thing through." one guard explained. "Oh no! That thing must have controlled my mind we have to hurry, before he harms Princess Celestia!" he shouted. . Later as Arvikang and his escort were walking Twilight asked how he had controlled the guard. Arvikang merely said that he pesuaded him. Finally as they arrived at the thrown room he noticed two more guards at the entrice. Before they could say anything Arvikang lunged forward. Now on a good day he might have just intimidated a guard into letting him in or use mind control, but this was not a good day and he had already been nice. The sooner he could treat his wounds and get off this planet the better. The first guard tried using a spear against him. Arvikang quickly ducked under it and stabbed one lightsaber into the guard's chest. The second guard, Arvikang choked to death with the force. Twilight looked in horror at the corpses. "How could you!?" she cried in shock and confusion. Arvikang said nothing, just returned his lightsaber to his belt. Now he would get to meet Celestia... //-------------------------------------------------------// Celestia //-------------------------------------------------------// Celestia Arvikang strode through the doors to the throne room, ready to confront a small and pitiful creature, like Twilight Sparkle and her friends. Instead he saw a large creature, still an equine, but as big as a normal sized horse. Unlike all of the other creatures, this Celestia had a horn and wings, instead of just a horn or just a pair wings or, nothing. It,no she, for it was indeed female registered a look of mild surprise. This only stuck for a couple of seconds, before she saw the bodies of the two guards. Now her face was filled with anger and sadness. "I am Arvikang apprentice to Darth Logath! I demand that you give me access to your-AH!" while in the middle of speaking Celestia gave Arvikang a hard slap with magic. "How dare you! First you kill innocent ponies, then you have the audacity to demand something of me?!" she shouted. " Guards arrest this... creature!" she ordered. That's when Arvikang noticed the four guards stationed at the foot of Celestia's throne. The guards surrounded Arvikang with spears aimed at him. With a snarl Arvikang unleashed a force repulse attack. All four guards went flying through the air and crashed into different walls of the room except one who went crashing through a window. His screams could still be heard until there was a dull thump. Celestia stood in stunned silence. Finally she spoke. "You may be able to defeat four guards, but can you fight hundreds? I doubt it. Now I order you to surrender yourself!" she said fixing Arvikang with a hard stare. "I only respect the strong. And I only obey those stronger than me! So do have what it takes, to fight a Sith apprentice?" with that he launched a round of force lightning at Celestia. She countered with a blast of green energy. --Meanwhile... Twilight ran as fast as she could. She had slipped away from the princess and Arvikang just as he had started speaking. She had to find the one pony who could possibly contain Arvikang. Her big brother Shining Armor, might have the strength to capture Arvikang. But she had to hurry. She didn't know the full abilities of Arvikang, but she knew that he was dangerous. Finally she made it to Shining Armor. "Twily what are you doing here?" he asked obviously puzzled. Quickly Twilight told her brother everything. "Come on Sis we have to hurry! Where are they now?" Shining Armor demanded. "This way!" Twilight took off as fast as possible Shining Armor and a trio of unicorn guards following. --Back in the throne room Now Arvikang knew why Celestia was the ruler of this planet. They were evenly matched neither one could gain the upper-hand. Arvikang thought that he could overpower Celestia eventually, but it would take too long. Suddenly Arvikang heard more guards coming. Celestia grinned as she heard it. "That must be my student Twilight and the captain of the Royal Guard Shining Armor! There is no way you can win surrender and you will be spared. "Never!" Arvikang roared. With a yell of anger he propelled Celestia through the air with the force. She slammed to the ground stunned for the moment. Arvikang pulled out a lightsaber ready to cut Celestia to pieces. Just then Shining Armor, Twilight, and the three guards rounded the corner. "In the name of the Royal Guard stop!" Shining Armor ordered. "As I told your leader I only respect the strong and only obey those stronger than me!" Arvikang hissed a strange light gleaming in his eyes. With a roar he launched a volley of lightning at Shining Armor, hoping to fry him. "Contain him!"Shining Armor barked out. A split second later he and the other guards used there magic to form a barrier around Arvikang. With a hiss a he pounded the purple energy with his fist. Nothing happened and so he tried using his lightsaber. It merely bounced off the shield. With a growl of annoyance and disbelief he shot lightning at it. For a second the lightning was absorbed then it reflected and hit Arvikang. With a roar of pure hatred he he held out both hands on either side of his body. At first no-pony knew what he was doing, then they saw strange, unnatural and menacing looking storm clouds right above Arvikang's prison. Suddenly lightning arced from the clouds and struck the barrier. This time the shield could not withstand Arvikang's might and small cracks began to appear. Shining Armor and the other unicorns strained to keep the shield in place, but they were no match for Arvikang. Finally with a sigh, Celestia spoke "Captain drain the air from the shield. Right now!" She ordered when they hesitated. Shining Armor nodded and suddenly the shield glowed red instead of purple. With a look of shock on his face Arvikang began to gasp on nothing, unable to breathe in life sustaining air. He began shaking and then he dropped to the floor. He began convulsing and in a futile effort he clawed at the solid stone floor. Then with a last shudder he became still. "And so ends another threat to Equestria."Celestia said in triumph. "Wait Princess you can't just kill him!" Twilight protested. "He is a murder and a threat to everypony Twilight Sparkle." Celestia said coldly. "But maybe me and the rest of the girls can change him. Come on you can't say that if something were to attack his abilities would be useless!" Twilight pointed out. "That is still not good enough reason. True I know a spell to stop him from harming you, but he could still cause much damage." Celestia pointed out "If we kill him in cold blood then how are we any better than him?" Twilight asked quietly. After a moment of thought she told Shining Armor to drop the shield. Immediately Arvikang's chest began to rise and fall as he began to breath. "Very well Twilight I will let you teach him how to behave. But if steps out of line or kills another pony I will get rid of him one way or another. Oh and he will be punished for his crimes while he stays with you in Ponyville. Now take him away guards."Celestia added. After the guards removed Arvikang, Celestia noted in shock that where Arvikang had clawed to escape there were deep trenches. He must have been very strong. This was going to be a new challenge... Authors note: I appreciate all of the likes, favs, views, and comments. Sorry for the short chapter. Oh also in the comments section if anyone has any ideas of how Celestia should punish/limit Arvikang say it. See ya later everypony. //-------------------------------------------------------// Punishment //-------------------------------------------------------// Punishment The first thing Arvikang noticed as he awoke was that the six creatures he had first met were hovering over him. All of them were within a distance so that he couldn't quite reach with his hands. It appeared to be sunset and he had to admit it was very pretty. Few planets had sunsets like this one. For a while he just lay there when finally the annoying cyan one spoke "So are you just gonna lay there all day or what?" she challenged. "If you value your life then you will shut up." he growled softly. "Oh yeah and whose gonna make me!" she taunted. Arvikang narrowed his eyes, but actually he was amused. Although the winged cyan equine was very angering, she had spirit. Still he could not let this insult go unpunished, so he raised his hand prepared to choke the equine and hopefully teach her a lesson. Just before he could do it the wooden table gave out sending him crashing to the floor. "Rainbow Dash you know that he has anger problems! You should not intentionally anger him especially with the spell I put on him!" commanded a very familiar voice. Rising to his feet he turned towards the voice he had heard. Standing there was Princess Celestia. "What do you mean? What spell?" Arvikang asked while shooting a glare at the cyan one. "I would have killed you right in my throne room, but my student convinced me that if we killed you outright than we would be no better than you. So I have decided to punish you in two ways. The first is that you will not be returned to your rightful place unless you show me your capable of good. The second is a nice spell that Rainbow Dash devised." Celestia nodded to the annoying rainbow maned equine."If you ever try to harm anypony or you have a certain degree of evil thoughts then a misfortune shall occur to you. So Arvikang show me that you are capable of great good and I will teleport you to wherever you wish and I will remove the misfortune spell. Any questions or requests?" Celestia finished. "Only a few. I would like to know everything about where I am. And also I wish to know how you know my name." Celestia was surprised at the note of respect in his voice, but there was another thing too. It seemed to be shame. It occurred to her that perhaps in his culture defeat was not good. "I will allow my student to explain about our fair world of Equestria. As to how I know your name Alicorns such as myself have the ability to read minds. Anything else?" "Only this. If something or someone were to attack me could I not defend myself? Or must I let them kill or injure me?" Arvikang asked with a hint of anger in his voice. "I allowed you the ability to defend yourself, but it must only be in self-defense. I will leave now for Canterlot, Twilight show him to his residence." then with a flash of golden light Celestia disappeared. "All right Arvikang lets get started; ask away." Twilight said with a small nod. "Well first off I want to know what your names are." Arvikang said quietly... --Several Hours later. After hours of interrogating the ponies about every subject he knew to ask about, Twilight finally took him to his new home. He felt utterly ashamed of himself. He had allowed that guard captain to best him, leaving him at the mercy of the ponies. He felt completely weak and he hated that. True the guard captain was strong and he had three other unicorns with him, but any Sith Lord would have easily escaped. Arvikang was a failure, and if Darth Logath ever found out he would probably kill Arvikang. If he was lucky something bad would happen on Equestria and he could redeem his honor by killing a powerful foe. Finally Arvikang and Twilight arrived at the house. Arvikang expected a small rundown pony-sized place. Instead he saw a human-sized two-story house. Actually it wasn't really a house, more like a cottage. It was simple, but neat. The walls appeared to be made of cobblestone, and the roof of wood. Arvikang could see a chimney with smoke coming out, so either he was expected, or someone else was in the house. "Oh by the way somepony else is in the place, so you'll have to share the library. Oh did I mention the library?" Twilight asked, before starting to ramble on about the other rooms and their contents. Then Arvikang interrupted Twilight by saying "Thank you Twilight you have been very helpful." Twilight stared in shock and finally managed to ask "Who the hay are you and what happened to the evil, arrogant, and mean jerk that tried to harm Princess Celestia?" "I am attempting to be... friendly." the last word came out very grudgingly, but Arvikang continued "Being beaten in a fight by your brother Shining Armor is a very serious thing. Since he beat me I no longer have the right to be above you ponies according to the teachings of my order, because I can only be above those that I am stronger than. Therefore I must show every pony I meet that is stronger than me respect. Besides if I want to go home than I have to be friends, instead of the master of your species, which is what I should me." he finished jokingly. "That's more like the evil, arrogant, mean jerk that tried to harm the Princess! Let's go meet your roommate." --one hour later. Finally after about a half-hour of being alone, the full comprehension of what was happening hit Arvikang like a giant block of cortosis. He was on a world inhabited by a race of sentient horses, eagle/lion hybrids, and wolves made of wood, just to name a few of the species he had learned of. Another strange thing, was trying to be nice. He hadn't been nice since... no he couldn't think of that time. Unfortunately he hadn't met his "roommate" yet Twilight claimed he was human and had arrive in Equestria a few days before Arvikang. That would be nice, getting to have another person on this world. He had to admit though the ponies weren't that bad. Once you got over the fact they were sentient mini-horses, they seemed like humans in a few ways. After brooding for a few more minutes, Arvikang got to his feet and checked to see if there were any clothes in his closet and dresser. Oh yes I forgot to mention Arvikang had his own small room. There was a closet, a dresser, and a small kitchenette. Surprisingly there were clothes that were very similar to his current robes. Celestia had said that Alicorns could read minds, so maybe she had figured out what he liked to wear and had clothes fitted for a human put here. Twilight did say that the room had been built with magic to accommodate his needs. The concept of magic was startling, but Arvikang had reasoned that magic was just science that people could not understand. Next he checked the fridge. There were several cupboards, a small refrigerator, a very small stove/oven combo, and a sink. Overall the room was very good, except there was no meat in the fridge. After exploring his room some more and discovering a bathroom, he went to the library. One of Arvikang's guilty pleasures was reading, which few Sith did for fun. Before he touched the first book he realized that he was filthy. His hands were covered in grime and a bit of blood. He ran a hand through his hair and discovered it was very greasy. He looked at his clothes too. There were some areas stained red from blood, others that were stiff and yellow from sweating too much, and the entire set of clothing was covered in other filth. Arvikang decided to take a shower and get on clean clothing, he didn't want his roommate to think he was a savage. He peeled of his clothing and threw it in a basket. Then he got into the shower and turned up the heat to a moderate level. After maybe twenty minutes Arvikang managed to clean himself off. Then he put on fresh set of clothes and sat down in his room, debating if he wanted to sleep, eat, or read while waiting for his roommate. After a few hours of eating and reading he heard the distinct sound of the front door opening then closing. "Hello? Is anyone home? Twilight said there was another human here." said a strangely familiar voice. "Yes there is. I'm coming." Arvikang replied while getting to his feet and going to the living room of the cottage. There was indeed another human, but Arvikang didn't know who it was. The other human was warming his hands by the fire, yet he did seem familiar. Then he turned and Arvikang instantly recognized who it was. He remembered launching him out of the republic destroyer, hearing him scream as he fell. Standing there was the Jedi Padawan... Author's Note Aloha everypony! Sorry for the late chapter, been busy getting ready to head to Hawaii. Just got here two days ago. Special thanks to Blue Spark who gave me the idea of the misfortune spell. It isn't quite the way he suggested it, but the initial idea came from him. Next chapter, we'll get to find out a little more about The Padawan, so keep on reading. See ya later everypony //-------------------------------------------------------// The Padawan //-------------------------------------------------------// The Padawan Arvikang stared in utter shock at The Padawan. It was impossible! By all rights he should be dead. The Padawan just looked at him in confusion and asked " Do I know you?" Arvikang made what sounded like choking then managed to answer "I killed you... you should be dead." Slowly realization dawned on the Padawan's face "You! The Sith Apprentice who attacked us!" he spat. "But wait if your here than that means..." Arvikang was practically glowing "Yes you fool I killed your master." he said triumphantly. Suddenly, Arvikang activated then swung his lightsaber hoping to cleave the Jedi in two. Fortunately Celestia's spell must have only applied to ponies, as nothing unfortunate happened to Arvikang. Calmly, but quickly the Jedi pulled his own blade from his belt barely deflecting Arvikang's lightsaber. The two were about to start hacking away at each other, but then a strange humming sound filled the air. Suddenly both Jedi and Sith were enveloped in a purple energy shield and suspended in mid-air. Arvikang was having some very evil thoughts towards whoever was doing this and of course it had to be a pony. So the shield momentarily flickered and sent Arvikang crashing to the ground. "You two should be ashamed! Fighting when you should be becoming friends!" Twilight said in one of those "I'm your boss and you must listen to me!"voices. Arvikang rolled his eyes and said sarcastically "Yes mom." Slap! Slap! Slap! Slap! Twilight gave both Arvikang and The Padawan two hard slaps. "Now listen here both of you! You will both be friends, you will both be nice to each other and you will not cut each other up with your glow-stick/sword things. Do I make myself clear? Good! Now so help me if either of you step out of line I will... I will..."Twilight trailed off obviously unused to making threats. Arvikang let out a low chuckle and said "Fine I won't try to kill the Jedi. For now anyway." "Same here." the Jedi agreed. Eyeing them both Twilight left for her home. There was something strange that Arvikang had said. He had called the other human a Jedi, like from her book... --Meanwhile "So Jedi, since we are going to have to put up with each other for a while, lets start with names. Mine is Arvikang." Arvikang said hoping the Jedi would give him reason to attack. "I am Tenron Lightvoid. Though you can call me Tenron. Everyone does." Tenron replied. "Well I can't say its nice to meet you, because that would be a lie." "Likewise." "I don't know about you Tenron, but I feel strange. You know being in the same room, no same planet as a Jedi and not trying to kill them." "I feel strange because your not attacking me at the moment." "To be honest, part of the reason is because Twilight told me if I step out of line, than Celestia would punish me." Arvikang and Tenron just sat there for a while both of them meditating until Twilight burst through the door again yelling something incomprehensible. Tenron held up a hand to calm her " Twilight just tell us whats wrong." "Your a Jedi! Your a Sith! I thought you guys were just legends!" she burst out. "Yes doesn't everyone know us on sight." "No! Here on Equestria Jedi, Sith, and Humans are just myths! See." Twilight rambled before shoving a large textbook into Tenron's face. He almost immediately beckoned Arvikang over to look at the book. It told of a time when in short the Jedi and Sith the Republic and the Empire came to Equestria, but were driven off the planet hundreds of years ago. Apparently the ponies had no idea of the current galactic war. Arvikang flashed a glance at Tenron who slightly nodded. "Twilight listen I'm about to tell you one of the worse parts of the galaxy. In this galaxy there are hundreds of sentient species. There are two main factions, the Republic and the Empire. Both groups rely on there own order of force users to maintain balance and to command troops. Now the force is the energy that comes from all living beings, everything gives off its own field. Like a coin the force has two aspects, the light-side and the dark-side. The Jedi and Republic serve the light. The Empire and the Sith serve the dark." Arvikang then proceeded too give Twilight a full history of the Jedi and Sith. This truly amazed Tenron, for he had no idea that a Sith was capable of delivering such a detailed and unbiased history of both his and Arvikang's respective orders. Moreover Arvikang was extremely patient with Twilight, especially when he would slow down or stop for Twilight to take notes. It was something Tenron never expected from a Sith. After finishing Arvikang told Twilight to go home and get some rest seeing as it was almost midnight. He also told her to come back the next day if she had any questions. "So Tenron was that a fair and accurate history and description of both our orders?" Arvikang asked with a questioning glance. "Everything was accurate and unbiased, giving the faults and good things of both the Jedi and Sith. Only someone who has been both could have given such a description."Tenron said while giving Arvikang a hard stare. "Guilty. I used to be a Padawan like any other. However while on a mission with my master-I can't recall his name unfortunately- we were attacked by a band of pirates. They insisted on trying to attack us, so we killed them all. As my master congratulated me on a job well done, one of the pirates I thought I had killed shot my master in the back. Grabbing his lightsaber and my own I killed the pirate in a frenzy of rage. Several days later a lone Sith arrived. It seems the death of my master and my rage caused a ripple in the force, attracting the Sith. Back then he was a lord. He took me as his apprentice. Thanks in part to me he is now a Darth. I became his... enforcer, his assassin, the coordinator of his forces. He trusts me enough to give me much freedom of choice in planning. And he has good reason for as long as there is things he has not taut me he has nothing to fear." Arvikang finally paused for a breath. "I'm tired, so Tenron if you want to talk more you must wait till tomorrow. That is if I don't kill you in your sleep." he chuckled. "Very well, but I sincerely hope you're kidding. Your not that bad for a Sith." Tenron replied giving a small half smile. "Same to you Tenron, same to you."... Author's Note I'd like to thank ShadowFall who gave me the idea for the part where Twilight bitch-slapped Arvikang and Tenron. Also the name Tenron Lightvoid was his idea. I highly recommend his story Tears of War, It is amazing. See ya later everypony! //-------------------------------------------------------// Tenron's Story and an Evil Test //-------------------------------------------------------// Tenron's Story and an Evil Test Arvikang sat in his small kitchenette munching on some toast and fruit. He couldn't help, but wonder if he should ask Celestia to change the spell on him. He was Sith, he couldn't help having bad thoughts towards most beings. Mabye she could change the spell so that if provoked he could have the desire to hurt a pony. Arvikang kept eating breakfast still thinking of what to do about the spell. Finally after thinking for a while he went downstairs. Tenron was sitting in the dining room having some oatmeal and reading a newspaper. Even though Tenron wasn't so bad, Arvikang had to resist the urge to attack him. It was natural instinct for a Sith apprentice who had killed a dozen Jedi Padawans, three Jedi Knights, and four rival Sith apprentices. "Hello Arvikang." Tenron greeted. "Hello Tenron." Arvikang replied while giving a short nod. The two began having a "friendly" debate on the topic of who would win the war between the Republic and the Empire. By friendly I meen they weren't trying to kill each other. "So Tenron you haven't yet told me how you came to this... planet." Arvikang wanted to say something more accurate, but he didn't want to anger any ponies that were spying on them. Tenron shrugged. "Well after you launched me out the view-port I thought I was dead. Somehow my powerful emotions of fear and despair reached Princess Celestia. She managed to teleport me to Canterlot. The rest you probably know." Arvikang nearly burst out laughing when he heard the name of the ponies capital. Canterlot, seriously? "So Arvikang what about you? How did you get here?" Tenron asked with curiosity. "Well after I... killed your master, I was pursued by several Republic fighters. They damaged me , so I had to make a blind jump to hyperspace. I came into orbit of Equestria, but before I could land the moon moved muck faster than possible and a large chunk of rock from the moon crippled my ship. Then I crashed and those six Equestrians found me." Even as he spoke an idea formed in Arvikang's head. If he could find his ship the Unicorns could fix it. Then he could escape the planet. "The moon moved and caused your ship to crash? That dosen't seem possible." Tenron said, obviously not convinced. "I think Twilight mentioned something about Celestia's sister controlling the moon." Arvikang said thoughtfully. "Really? That seems like a very difficult task." Tenron said, still not entirely convinced. "The pegasi can fly even though there wings are too small for their bodies. Unicorns channel energy to do things not even a Jedi or Sith could. As for the plain ones, I'm not quite sure, but they must have some special ability too. And now you don't believe that the rulers of all of these ponies can do something as simple as move the moon?" Arvikang asked letting his logic sink in. "Well when you put it that way..." Arvikang and Tenron continued debating on various topics, when about an hour later someone knocked on the door. "Oh hello Twilight." Tenron greeted."What brings you here?" "Princess Celestia says she wants to test both of you." Twilight replied. "What do you mean?" Arvikang asked while raising an eyebrow. "Well the Princess wants to see how well you two can get along with me and my friends. So your going to have to spend a few hours with each of us." Twilight said with a smile. The next thirty minutes were spent trying to convince Arvikang not to cause somepony bodily harm. Finally though Twilight and Tenron convinced Arvikang to calm down and come with them. The first stop was Applejack's ranch Sweet Apple Acres. Applejack at first started to explain what to do in a very complex manner. All Arvikang heard though was "Get the apples into the baskets." So gathering all of his anger and frustration he unleashed a dark side powered blast. It slammed into the tree with enough force to cause all the apples to fall off the branches. Applejack and Twilight openly gaped at this. Tenron shuddered as he felt the lingering dark side energies. "So how many more trees are there?" Arvikang asked with a smirk. Applejack still staring pointed to the groves upon groves of apple trees. With a groan Arvikang realized it was going to be a long day. Finally after about three hours of knocking apples out of trees Twilight announced it was time to move on. While Tenron was perfectly at ease, happily chatting with Twilight Arvikang was extremely irritated. What kind of test was this? All he did was knock apples out of trees for three hours. Maybe Twilight had planned this just to make him do menial labor... "Uh, Arvikang did you hear me?" Twilight asked throwing Arvikang back to the present. "What? Oh no I didn't hear you." Arvikang said still distracted. "Oh I was just saying we're going to Rarity's place to model some clothes." "What! Are you telling me that I must go to that annoying fashion pony and play "dress up"!" Arvikang spat his annoyance turning to anger. "Arvikang, you're scaring Twilight." Tenron said while flashing a disapproving at Arvikang. "I am Sith! I should not have to do these... these tortures!" Arvikang growled his anger turning to rage."Its time I finished what I started!" With a yell he launched himself at Tenron attacking him with a flurry of lightsaber blows. Tenron knew that Arvikang didn't want to kill him, this was just Arvikang's way of venting his anger. So instead of dodging and then counterattacking like he normally would do he just blocked the blows simply waiting for Arvikang to calm down. All Twilight did was stare in horror thinking that if Arvikang killed Tenron than he would probably come for her next. She tried to run, but she felt utterly scared, and yet at the same time angered. For some reason though both emotions seemed to be coming from Arvikang, radiating from him and then causing Twilight to feel them both. She suddenly remembered the previous night when Arvikang had explained the dark side of the force. It was all of the more primal emotions, like anger, sorrow, and fear. Arvikang's emotions seemed to be affecting Twilight. But why would he be scared? After what seemed like hours, but was actually minutes Arvikang was calmed down. "Sorry Tenron, sorry Twilight that is just my way of venting." Arvikang said apologetically. "You tried to kill Tenron! And now you just calm down and say "I'm sorry." Seriously your the biggest piece of..." Before Twilight could finish Tenron cut her off. "Wait Twilight don't be too angry with Arvikang. Being a Sith usually means constant battle and lots of brutality. The Sith channel their anger into dark side powers. With Celestia's spell he can't take his anger out on a pony even in his thoughts. The only alternative was to attack me." Tenron finished nearly out of breath. "Yes really I am sorry to both of you. To avoid things like that happening again I propose a plan. If ever Tenron or I needs to calm down or vent we have a sparring match. Lightsabers on low power and no deadly force abilities like lightning. What do you say Tenron?" Arvikang asked feeling quite pleased with himself for coming up with this new plan. " It is quite a good idea... and both light and dark sides can heal to some degree in case of injury. I guess its a plan." Tenron replied. " Well that is great you too, but seriously we need to get to Rarity's place still." Twilight reminded them. Arvikang grimaced. "Tenron after we finish up today be ready for a duel." "Of course, Arvikang, of course..." Author's Note Hey everyone, sorry for the long wait, I have been distracted by all my new video games. Now I have two options for you. One I can give you a long wait for chapter 7, but have it longer and more action packed, or shorter wait, but another chapter or 2 before the action starts. Let me know what you want! //-------------------------------------------------------// The Memory Intruder //-------------------------------------------------------// The Memory Intruder Arvikang stood in a strange place, familiar, but he couldn't place it, then he realized that he had no body. No not again, not this dream! Arvikang thought. Desperateness over came reason and he kept trying to wake up. If he had just calmly accepted the dream he would have felt the presence of someone else, the one who was digging in Arvikang's mind bringing out not a dream, but a memory. Arvikang hated dreams particularly this dream if it was the one he was thinking of. In front of Arvikang stood 2 people, one of them an adult the other a young teenager. From where he could see Arvikang noticed the teenager had shaggy black hair. Arvikang could also just make out the corner of a blue eye. They both had the appearance of Jedi, the adult obviously the Jedi Knight and the other his apprentice. "Master can we go yet?" the young boy asked. "Patience my young Padawan." the Jedi replied. Suddenly the boy turned and if he could Arvikang would have gasped. The boy was Arvikang, age 13. Present Arvikang gritted his teeth or tried to anyway. After a minute of Arvikang 13 and his master talking, Present Arvikang could hear distant blaster fire. "Come Padawan we must move." the Jedi said swiftly then began hurrying off into what appeared to be a small village. Present Arvikang finally took note of his surroundings. He was on top a mountain as he could see a valley below, and he could also see several other small settlements across the mountain range and the valley. Then hurrying to keep up, Arvikang sort of drifted to where he could see his younger self dueling a Chiss pirate. The Chiss had several burns on his clothing and armor from where young Arvikang had almost scored several duel ending strikes. While the pirate was good, young Arvikang was still better. With a flick of his hand young Arvikang sent a piece of rock at the Chiss, who just barely dodged it, though the pirate still took a nasty scratch from a shard of the rock when it burst apart. As present Arvikang knew what would happen he looked to where the Jedi was just cutting another pirate down with a flourish of his green lightsaber, then as Arvikang turned he saw young Arvikang successively land a mortal blow along the ribs of his opponent. The Chiss collapsed with a barely a sound and lay still. "Well done Arvikang." the Jedi praised while giving young Arvikang's hair an affectionate ruffle, "now lets get back to ship and we ca-" The Jedi was cut off as he was struck in the back by a blaster bolt. He gave a out a small strangled cry then slumped to the ground, dead. "No!" young Arvikang cried. Serves you right, Arvikang thought bitterly. All Sith knew not to leave your back exposed even to a mortally wounded enemy. Suddenly young Arvikang turned rapidly, rage gleaming in his eyes. "You killed my master... now I will kill you." he growled at the Chiss. Ah yes, this is the part where I brutally torture the Chiss, present Arvikang thought, excited to be able to see some real violence. As he thought this, young Arvikang picked up his fallen master's lightsaber, as well as his own and activated both of them. Then using the Force, young Arvikang picked up the Chiss and suspended him in midair. What happened next was something that Arvikang never forgot. Young Arvikang took both lightsabers and began to slowly torture the Chiss for three days. He used the lightsabers to burn and cut off body parts, he used the Force to cause the Chiss pure agony and he did more unspeakable things. On the third day the Chiss wasn't recognizable in the least. All that was left was a meaty torso and head covered in burns and bleeding from several lacerations. What used to be the mouth kept trying to beg for mercy, but its lungs couldn't function properly. "I'm finally done with you, you filthy animal!" young Arvikang spat, "and know that what you have experienced is nothing compared to what I've lost." Then without further ceremony he activated his lightsaber and performed a sai cha lightsaber execution a form of beheading. That was when present Arvikang noticed the intruder, the one that had been searching his mind, who he had not sensed until now. "I found you..." Arvikang growled at the familiar purple unicorn... Author's Note Sorry for late short chapter i'll get another one in a little bit sorry for rush //-------------------------------------------------------// Doing Them a Favor //-------------------------------------------------------// Doing Them a Favor Arvikang stared at the cowering, purple unicorn before him. Never in his life had he been so furious at a single being. This species is so idiotic I would be doing them a favor if I killed them all! he thought, regardless of the consequences of Celestia's spell. But nothing happened. Arvikang thought rapidly that it could be because he was inside his own mind, but maybe... maybe it was because he thought of doing harm to the ponies, not in an overly aggressive way, but in a way that meant he had the ponies best interest at heart. Arvikang grinned, but the smile wasn't genuine. Now to figure out what Twilight was doing in his head in the first place... Arvikang immersed himself in the Dark-Side and viewed Twilight's memories. -- 1 hour ago at Rarity's shop... "I didn't mean for the gentleman to faint, I just suggested this fine suit and he fainted..." Rarity blubbered in concern for Arvikang. "Its not your fault Rarity, Sith are peculiar and to them wearing something like what you showed Arvikang would, well they would probably rather go through torture, or become a Jedi than wear that. No offence to the suit of course." Tenron said in a reassuring manner. What had happened was this. After Arvikang's last freak out, Tenron, Twilight, and Arvikang had proceeded on to visiting Rarity, the pony Arvikang probably despised most. As soon as they had walked in, Rarity had fashioned an elegant tuxedo meant for human proportions. She had asked Arvikang to try it on and whether it was the thought of wearing the suit or something else, Arvikang had promptly fainted. Currently Twilight was attempting to revive him with magic, with little success. Then suddenly she shouted in triumph. " I did it, I accessed his mind. He appears to be dreaming, but what I don't know... Maybe I could go inside and..." Before she could continue Tenron cut her off saying " A Sith, even a Sith Apprentice's mind is corrupted with the Dark-Side of the Force. If you enter Arvikang's you could be mentally scarred by his memories or -worse!- somehow be seduced to the Dark-Side. I'm not sure if ponies can be Force-Sensitive or not but the last thing we need is another Dark-Side adept running around unchecked." Tenron paused for breath and Twilight took the opportunity to speak. " Yeah, but I might be able to find out something about him, and as a bonus I would look out for any secret Sith war plans. Please!?" Twilight begged, her large eyes sparkling. " Well... I suppose, but be careful and only look at thoughts and memories that are not tainted by the Dark-Side." Tenron said finally relenting. With that Twilight's horn glowed and suddenly her consciousness was was inside Arvikang's. It was an insane mess inside it. From what Twilight could tell she was floating in black void, surrounded by numerous portals. Across the entrance of the portals she could see things happening, mostly of war and fights. With a start Twilight realized they were Arvikang's memories. She attempted to focus her magic in order to label the memories in some way. It was partially successful. Instead of labels each portal was now ringed by either red or blue light. Some of them had red and blue light, but most were red all the way through. As Twilight looked she ended up seeing a pattern. The farther to one direction she drifted, the more the rings were blue. This must have been Arvikang's memories from before he had gone all Sith. However before she could go into one, she suddenly saw Arvikang drifting through the void of his own mind. "A-Arvikang?" Twilight asked carefully "Are you alright." No answer. Maybe if she showed Arvikang one of his own memories he would wake up. It was worth a shot, and maybe as a bonus Twilight could learn more about his past. Gently she eased Arvikang's limp body through the nearest blue portal, then Twilight entered cautiously. If she had looked more carefully she would have seen a small, but intense streak of red on the portal. But Twilight didn't notice too stunned at what she saw. It was a thirteen year old Arvikang! Twilight was so caught up in the memory that she didn't notice the present Arvikang vanish. After watching past Arvikang chat with the older man, Twilight noticed that they looked more like Tenron in the way of clothing. Twilight realized that they were Jedi! After a while the two ran off and Twilight followed, marveling at the world around her. It was a rocky world, but she could see several trees as well, their leaves dried up on the ground and the branches bare of anything. It was also, very very hot. As in eat a big bowl of ice-cream, and take a cold shower with ice and still be hot, kind of hot. Finally she reached the Jedi's destination. It was a small village, made up of simple wooden buildings with straw roofs. There was obviously a town square with several merchant stands set-up. But nobody was selling today. People ran for their live's red bolts light flying everywhere. Twilight watched as a pair of 9 year old children were cut down, severe burns on their backs. Twilight ran to help, then remembered that it had already happened and this world was just a memory. Finally the Jedi started fighting, and with their incredible lightsaber skills and the Force, the two Jedi had killed all of the pirates. Except one which Twilight could see was pulling out one of the strange light-firing weapons. Before she could cry out the pirate shot the older Jedi in the back. Young Arvikang went utterly berserk. For three days, but what seemed like minutes to Twilight, Arvikang tortured the Chiss. The details were too horrid for her to look at and Twilight had to look away for a second. When she looked up, Twilight felt a small tremor in Arvikang's mind and suddenly, present Arvikang stood over her, rage in his eyes. His proper mind must have awakened and now he had caught Twilight snooping on probably his darkest secret. "I found you..." Arvikang growled in an ominous voice. -- Arvikang's POV Arvikang came back to the present with a start. So Twilight had decided to search his mind, without his permission. Still he had to admire Twilight's courage, very few people would be brave enough to look at a Sith's mind. " P-Please Arvikang don't h-hurt me." Twilight whimpered in fear at the Sith before her. "Hurt you? Why I won't hurt you. You accidentally viewed one of my stronger memories and was driven to the point that all bodily functions ceased from an overload of Dark-Side energy." Arvikang said calmly and with an evil light in his eyes. " But we're in your mind, you can't hurt me cause I'm not really hear." Twilight said with defiance now gleaming in her eyes. " Just like your misfortune curse won't function since we're here." "On the contrary your mind is here which means if I destroy it, your body will die. Or at the very least turn into a mindless shell." Arvikang said with a smirk. "Then I'll just teleport out of here." Twilight said with some amount of smugness. But attempting to exit Arvikang's mind didn't work the first time. Or the second, or the third time. "Why won't my abilities work?" Twilight asked in confusion and fear. With a knowing smile Arvikang answered saying, " Allow me to shed some light on the subject..." Author's Note Here's chapter 9 and I hope you like it. Hopefully I can get another chapter in this weekend. Now we have to theories as to why Twilight's abilities don't work. First is either she's force sensitive and magic and the force don't mix well so, Arvikang starts teaching her the Dark-Side in secret. Or Arvikang is just clouding her abilities with the Force and a whole different event takes place in the story. Though this mystery event will happen no matter what, it will not appear til later if you vote for the first option. //-------------------------------------------------------// Discovery //-------------------------------------------------------// Discovery "I know, or at least I could guess why your powers do not work here in my mind." Arvikang said with thought fullness. "And what would that be?" Twilight asked, curiosity overpowering fear. " If I'm correct you are Force-sensitive." Arvikang said bluntly. Twilight looked blankly at him, only having a small sense of what being Forceful meant. With a sigh Arvikang explained "It means you can become a Jedi or a Sith." "But I can't use the Force, I mean it would be cool to have another ability, but..." "Listen Twilight has anything strange ever happened, that you could never explain logically?" "Well occasionally, but I assume that's because my magic acted up. But what does me having the Force have to do with me being trapped in here?" Arvikang considered this for minute and said " I believe it is very hard for magic and the Force to mix, and with the extremely close proximity of another Forceful being, your Force powers are probably growing." Panic lit Twilight's eyes. "But if I can't escape then..." " I can help you, you know." Arvikang said casually. "All you need to do is swear to me that you will serve the Dark-Side and train as my student. Really this is a rare opportunity to learn the extent of your abilities and to learn to control them." When Twilight hesitated, Arvikang tried a different course. "If you don't train then you may lash out with your power's and accidentally injure or even kill one of your friends." To reinforce his point Arvikang subtly planted images of all of her friends dead, killed by Twilight herself. Still she hesitated "I need to think about it, I'm just not sure what I should do." "Alright, I'll help free you of my mind, but don't tell anyone of this. And remember, my offer still stands." Arvikang replied a cold and calculating light filling his eyes. "Oh and tell anyone about this and I will kill all of your friends as slowly and painfully as possible. No matter what Celestia's punishment is. Are we clear?" Before Twilight could answer Arvikang waved his hand and her vision went black. Tenron Lightvoid stood with Rarity hoping that Twilight could awaken Arvikang from his coma. Suddenly Twilight collapsed into a heap and began to regain conscious. Rarity ran to her friend in concern, when Twilight's head snapped up and snarled in a very un-Twilight way "I'm fine, stop crowding me!"If they had paid attention then Tenron and Rarity would have seen that Twilight's eyes were a much darker shade of purple. Quickly they changed back to normal and she said "Oh I'm sorry I don't know what came over me!" Before Rarity could respond Arvikang sat up with a groan and asked "What happened?" "I believe the strain from all of this finally took it's toll on you and you fainted." Tenron replied. "Ah, that's right I seem to recall Twilight retrieving me from my own mind yes?" "That is correct Arvikang." "Well then, thank you Twilight." "Uh your welcome." Twilight said uneasily. "Now then who should we be off to next?" Arvikang asked "Fluttershy is next." Twilight said. Arvikang growled something about the 'little coward' under his breath which caused Tenron to shoot him a glare. Arvikang just ignored him. Today's gonna be longer then I thought... Author's Note Listen guys I'm really sorry for long wait and short chapter, but I'm kinda in a rush and will be gone for 2 weeks so I hope a short chapter is better then none to you. Oh and taking idea's for OC's. Can be pony, or it can be a Sith sent by Logath. PM me or leave a comment. Deathstrike out! //-------------------------------------------------------// Sorry //-------------------------------------------------------// Sorry I am sorry to say that this story has been canceled. I just looked back on it and found so many errors as well as the fact school takes up most of my time. For those of you who enjoyed this story, fear not. I will soon be starting a rewrite of this story and since summer break is coming up, that means more time to write. Take care! //-------------------------------------------------------// OC Contest and A Big Announcment //-------------------------------------------------------// OC Contest and A Big Announcment Hi everyone, listen I am so sorry about the last two months. There are two reasons for me not updating this story, first I have so many Video Games I am trying to beat and second... my baby sister was born! So I haven't had as many chances to use my parent's computer. Luckily it will soon become mine so I can write whenever I want. Anyway I also wanted to install an OC contest. Just because Arvikang is on Equestria doesn't mean Logath has forgotten. I would like any ideas for a Sith Apprentice/ Assassin who will be sent to either bring Arvikang back... or kill him. I have an idea for a name, but I still want your name ideas, the next chapter is in progress but I can't finish it until I get a set OC. Thanks for all the support and patience! -- Deathstrike
