"Don't worry. You'll be fine. I'll make sure you get proper care."
What's this voice? The boy's mind was a bit hazy, but he could've sworn he heard a gentle voice comforting him.
What happened anyway? He couldn't remember a solitary thing.
Amnesia?
Wonderful.
For just a moment he could see his surroundings. Though not very well. The boy's vision was terribly blurred.
He painfully lifted his head up, as much as it would allow. Surrounding him below was inviting grass, moist with dew, and in the distance a quaint cottage.
Beyond that cottage lies a rather intimidating forest. That was all he took in before drooping his head back down, and losing consciousness.
Waking up to his feet. He found that he was surrounded in all directions by trees. It was pitch black.
What now? Did whoever it was carrying him leave him behind. Why? What did he do? In the close distance behind him he heard a cracking noise. Like the sound of twig being stepped upon.
What was that? His imagination? An animal? A person? The boy, wanting to get out of this forest, began treading forward.
Hearing nothing but the sound of wind blowing against tree branches, and grass crunching beneath his feet.
The sooner he escaped from this forest. The better. It was beginning to remind him of a computer game he played. A game he had regretted playing.
As much as the boy enjoyed a good scare from a horror game. Slender wasn't worth the many sweat drenched nightmares it brought upon him.
The longer the boy wondered in this forest looking for an exit. The faster, and harder his heart began to pound.
Without a source of light. The boy could wonder around for days. Mosty likely in circles, looking for a way out.
Slam! Kling-klink! That was the noise of him running into a blockade. A tall chain fence. Could it be?
That the boy was in that very forest where Slenderman lurked. No. God no. The boy, frightened, turned slowly to walk in the opposite direction. Still clinging onto a shred of hope that he might find a way out of this damnable forest.
He wished for nothing more than a source of light to guide his way. Especially, since he was aware of what forest he was shambling about in. Slenderman. It can't be? It's impossible. This must be a bad dream.
He has had several, leading to many a sleepless night, so it must be. But still he couldn't help but think. What if Slenderman was real?
His thoughts were jarred when he heard a woman's scream. Scared, and fearing the worst. He ran towards the scream. Hoping for it to be a misunderstanding. Or perhaps a joke. Attended on scaring him.
Anything, but a victim to Slenderman.
However when he reached his destination his mind was not put to ease. Lying on the grass was a flashlight. The bulb still burning bright.
It had been dropped recently. The boy, hands shaking, and sweat dripping off his chin, kneeled down and picked up the flashlight.
He had accumilated a source of light just as he wanted. But under fearful circumstances. He heard a swishing noise right behind him. Startled, he turned about.
Stood before him was a pale, and well-dressed figure lacking facial features. Slenderman. The boy's head began to swell with pain. A high pitched static sound erupted in his ears.
Tentacles sprouted out from Slenderman's back-side. The boy...
Had been taken.
As if stabbed with a knife, the boy jutted up from his slumber. Crying out, Frightening a yellow hued pegasus. During the unattended freak out, the pegasus dropped a bowl of soup, held in her mouth, that she was bringing for the boy.
The hot liquid splashed onto the wooden floor, the pegasus ducked back scared, and the boy panicked.
He was confused, and frightened at the mere sight of the pegasus. The likes of which he had never seen. Pegasi aren't real. Just based upon a myth. Yet, one stood before his very eyes. Far more frightened than him.
Seeing how scared the pegasus was. The boy tried to calm her.
"Easy, horsey. I'm not gonna' hurt you. Sorry for the scare I gave you. It's just that... I've never seen a pegasus before."
The boy was ten years of age, and intelligent for his own good. He had stumbled upon a mysterious land, though he had no recollition of how.
"Where am I?" The boy asked out loud to himself.
The pegasus stood back up strait on all fours. She had appeared to calm down once noting that the boy seemed harmless.
"Oh... well," The pegasus began, but came to a stop. She was too shy to speak. She still did not fully trust the boy.
"It's okay. You don't have to speak with me if you don't want to."
Wait. Speak!? It spoke!?
"Ah! You can talk!?" The boy pointed a finger at the pegasus.
This sudden change in tone made the pegasus duck back down in fear. He sucummed to the fact that this could only mean one thing. He was still dreaming. Though the nightmare before had shape shifted for the better.
He would rather meet with a friendly talking pegasus than Slenderman any day. He looked down at the mess that was his soup.
"Oh. Was that for me?" The boy asked.
Seeing as this is a dream, no sense in being frightened.
"Yes... sorry," The pegasus voice was so meek, it was difficult to fully comprehend what she said.
How could the boy possibly get the pegasus to warm up to him. He panned his head back, and forth slowly sweeping the area. Getting a good look at his current surroundings. It appeared to be the inside of that quaint cottage he saw before he lost...
consciousness.
This is real. Okay. Keep it together. Don't panic. Don't freak the poor pegasus out again. She might just have a cardiac arrest.
Keeping his cool. He calmly chatted up the pegasus. Winning over her trust.
"I see. So you just found me out cold," The boy layed back onto the couch resting his arms behind his head.
He just couldn't recall what had happened. How he got here. Yep. Truly he was an amnesiac.
Just wonderful.
"Well," Fluttershy began hesitantly, "Until your memory returns. You could stay in Ponyville over at Twilight's. I'm sure she won't mind your company."
The boy sat up looking inquisitively, "Pony...ville?"
