And what's even better, is that Sugarcube Corner is having a huge dessert banquet today, which is said to start around 3pm this afternoon. At this very moment, it is only noon and the cakes are ready to get baking for the banquet. So far everyone has an assignment, courtesy of Mrs. Cake. "All right, let's go through this again; Mr.. Cake will take care of the Vanilla Cake, Special Strawberry Cake, Lemon Cake, his special carrot cake and most of all... the *Equestrian Chocolate Cake*. Which is said to be the most, delectable, moist and mouthwatering cake in all of Equestria." "My, my, sure sounds like I got my work cut out for me." Said Mr. Cake as he let out a nervous laugh. "And Pinkie Pie, you'll do--"Before she could even finish what she needed Pinkie to do, she was thinking on what she could do. She even looks at the list to see what desserts can she make. "Um, what should you do?" But Pinkie Pie has already decided on what she's going to do and tells her; "Oh, don't worry Mrs. Cake. Me and Applejack are going to take care of the Cupcakes." "You and... Applejack?" Said Mrs. Cake. "Yup Yup!" Replied Pinkie Pie as she smiled at Mrs. Cake. "Well, where is Applejack, dear?" Question Mrs. Cake in a tone of confusion and her face filled with worry. And then out of nowhere, there was clatter happening at the front doors and with that... a brightly orange, blonde-headed mare wearing a cowboy hat, shows up with a bag of ingredients. And boy howdy, she was excited to volunteer to help out with the banquet. "I'm right here, Mrs. Cake. And I brought some extra ingredients to make those batch of cupcakes" "That's right, Mrs. Cake. Me and Applejack are going to take care of the cupcakes, we even have an idea what type of cupcakes we intend to make!" Said Pinkie Pie. "You do?" Mrs. Cake asked curiously. "Yes Ma'am." Answered Applejack. "We're going to make *golden yellow cupcakes. With **chocolate/vanilla combo filling, and individual frosting with sprinkles."* She added. Mr. and Mrs. Cake were surprised and they were very excited to know that the girls have come up with something that sounds incredibly delectable. So Mrs. Cake puts all her faith onto Pinkie and Applejack that they can make these golden yellow cupcakes in the nick of time and that they'll taste even better than they sound. "All right, very well then. I'll leave you girls with the cupcakes." Said Mrs. Cake. "Who knows, I might even try one before the banquet begins, just to see if they taste exactly as you describe them." Said Mr. Cake with a huge smile on his face, hoping that he'll get his hands on one of them. "We won't let you down, Mrs. Cake. And don't worry, there'll be plenty for everypony to enjoy." Said Pinkie with total confidence. After that, the girls went to go get started on making those cupcakes, Applejack hopes that she's got enough ingredients to make as much as possible for the big banquet this afternoon, after all everypony is coming to it and they'll be getting a hoof ful... and a mouthful of sweet delectables. Plus, they have about two hours to make all of the golden yellow cupcakes. So the girls get out all of the ingredients and the kitchen utensils, in order to get started baking those cupcakes. Pinkie Pie was very excited and ready to get baking, she even turns to Applejack to see if she was ready to bake as well. "So Applejack, are you ready to get baking or what?!" She asks with total excitement. Applejack quickly turns to Pinkie and replies; "Are you kidding, if I can buck a bunch of apple trees in a day, I can sure bake a lot of cupcakes in two hours. And plus with your help, this'll be a cinch." "HOORAY TEAMWORK!" Yelled out Pinkie Pie. Then after she yelled, she and Applejack both do a hoof bump and start to get baking. All right, Pinkie. Let's get to work. Chapter 1: The Day I Made Friends with a CupcakeSo, the girls were baking their special golden yellow cupcakes with the vanilla/chocolate filling, they were having so much fun, but they realize it was a lot to do. After all, it was a lot of work for two earth mares to do and they were on a deadline. So far Pinkie Pie was really excited that she can't quite hold it in, putting the ingredients in the bowl like crazy, stirring them up. And while she was doing that, she was just humming up a song to keep her in the mood. She dips her hoof in the batter, licks it only to see if it tastes good. "Mmm!" She said. "This is sure to make their taste buds jump for joy!" She added. Then you have Applejack, who was really focused on those cupcakes, trying to make sure that she got all the ingredients in the bowl, hoping that she missed a thing, stirring that bowl as fast as she could. And then gets out the cupcake tray, places the cupcake holders in the tray, pours the batter in and puts the tray in the oven to bake. Two and a half Hours Later... As we look at the Oven's timer, the batch of cupcakes have about 9 more minutes to fully bake, then we move to Applejack who is very exhausted in baking those special cupcakes and then you have Pinkie Pie who is still going at it, even though they only have one batch, and it's the last batch in the oven. "Whoo-Wee!" Yelled out Applejack. "I'm a beat, plus we got the next batch already baking." "That's the ticket, Aj! We'll keep baking until there aren't any left to bake!" Yelled out Pinkie. "Um, don't you think we should take a little break, plus it's the last batch to make. And we got about 15 minutes left till the banquet starts." "What?!" Yelled out Pinkie Pie. Then, she looks at her watch to see what time it was. "It's 2:45pm, already? Wow, time sure does fly when you're having fun baking." "I'll say- wait..." Applejack then had a confused look on her face, her left eyebrow lifted when she saw the watch on her right hoof. "Pinkie pie, when did you start wearing a watch?" She Asked. Then Pinkie looks at the watch that was on her hoof and she too pulls a confused look on her face. "Hmm.... I have no idea." Then she takes off the watch and just throws somewhere in the kitchen, to where it will never be found. While the final batch of cupcakes were being baked, Mrs. Cake shows up to check in on how the girls were doing. As she walks into the kitchen, she sees a huge mess all over the kitchen, as if a tornado struck here. The look on her face was priceless when she saw the mess, her eyes widened and her jaw dropped when she saw the countertops, the table, the pantries and everywhere else... filled with batter. "Ooooh. Oh, my... is everything okay in here?" She asked nervously. "Oh, hey there Mrs. Cake." Pinkie Pie said "Sorry for the mess, but as you can see we managed to bake all the cupcakes, put in the filling inside and have the frosting on top, with Sprinkles!" Then, as Applejack shows Mrs. Cake the delectable Golden Yellow Cupcakes, Mrs. Cake was turned on by the gloriousness of the cupcakes. She didn't even bother to ask the girls to clean up the mess and warns them that the banquet is in 12 minutes. And with that being said, Pinkie Pie starts to bring the cupcakes from the kitchen to the lobby, just so they would be ready for the Banquet. All that, while Applejack stayed in the kitchen to clean up the mess, even though she really didn't have a choice, but it's not like it was her first mess. And so, the banquet has finally arrived and everypony is all here ready to dine on all the delicious desserts that were on the table; Candied treats, cinnamon swirls, cakes, cupcakes and many more. Looking at all the ponies, their mouths were watering just by staring at the sweet delectables that Mr. cake, Pinkie and Applejack had made. So everyone was gathering up to the sweets on the table, getting whatever they whatever they wanted, just so they can take their first bites. As the ponies bite on those sweet goods, they were all so excited that they were speechless, savoring the enriched flavor of the baked pastries. The cakes were thrilled to see that the banquet was going great, Applejack had already finished cleaning up the kitchen and showed up for the banquet, only to see that everyone was dining on the baked goods. And then, Twilight and the others had arrived to the banquet, Pinkie and Aj were really excited to see that they came to show support and enjoy the food. "I'm soooo glad that you guys, could make it to the banquet!" Pinkie Pie hollered. "Oh, come now darling. We would never think twice about missing an event such as this." Said Rarity. As she was looking at all the desserts on the table, and admiring the scenery at Sugarcube Corner, the décor she was witnessing looked like something Rarity would make when it came to styling a place of interest. Meanwhile, Rainbow Dash was eyeballing at the golden yellow cupcakes that Pinkie and Aj made. She was so mesmerized at the cupcake, the golden yellow coating, the frosting with sprinkles on top, she couldn't wait to take a bite off it. So she picks it up, removes the wrapper with ease, and eats it in one single bite. As she chews on it, she can feel the sweet, tingling sensation in her mouth, the chocolate/vanilla filling in the cupcake was literally making her smile and giggle. "Mmm! Pinkie Pie, Applejack..." as Rainbow was talking, her mouth was still slightly full from the cupcake she had ate. Then after chewing, she immediately swallowed it so she can talk clearly. "you guys have outdone yourselves." She added. "Thanks, Rainbow. After all, we made these cupcakes special, just for you guys. And everypony else." Said Pinkie as she smiled. "Yeah, we worked real hard just to bake those cupcakes to perfection. And let me tell ya, I am beat." Said Applejack. Then, she grabs one of the cupcakes that they made, takes a single bite, and was very impressed with the results. Yes, everypony is having a wonderful time, they were stuffing their mouths with every delicious treat that was there, their faces filled with excitement, all the "Mmms" and Yums" were everywhere and just hearing the pony folk enjoying the dessert. Just seeing their faces so full of life and frosting, has Pinkie Pie wanting to chow down on the sweets. So she has her eyes set out on the one golden yellow cupcake, with the strawberry frosting, the frosting was covered in colorful sprinkles and what's more... is that it was the only cupcake that has a cherry on top of the frosting. It made it extra delicious, she was ready to eat it, but then... as she starts to, she begins to envision it in it's glory. she was even complimenting on how glorious it looks and how it should be treasured as the most delicate item that she had ever witnessed. "Oh my, I never knew how beautiful it looks, I mean look at it's natural golden coat, so dashing. Then you have the bright pink strawberry frosting, which is a nice touch by the way. And then you have sprinkles, making it a free spirited cupcake, like me! But really, what's really special about this cupcake, is the intoxicating aroma that surrounds it. Which makes it worth having! Oh, and let's not forget the cherry on top, a good finishing touch if I do say so myself." After Pinkie kept complimenting on the cupcake, she was imagining herself with the cupcake, they were outside, they were frolicking through the flowers, the cupcake was on top of her head bouncing while she was hopping. She then had the cupcake in her hooves and were spinning around as the flowers were coming down like snow. Then she and the cupcake were at a picnic, and she was admiring the scenery while the cupcake was just standing there, looking cool. Afterwards, she was at the gala having the time of her life by dancing while the Cupcake was just standing there on the table. And then finally, after visualizing her time with the cupcake, she turns to the table, looks at the empty plate, not noticing the cupcake's disappearance until she started talking. "I realized how special this cupcake is to me, that's why I should treasure it and-" Right then and there, she finally realized that the cupcake wasn't there. She made a huge gasp and says; "Oh no, where did my cupcake go?!" She started freaking out, looking around to see who has her cupcake, so far Nopony has the cupcake she was looking for but she was still searching for it. Pinkie was looking high and low for that cupcake, searched up and down at every table, she was even looking at everypony's hooves to see if they had her cupcake. Pinkie Pie kept scattering around and has everypony worried about her, even the cakes were starting to question why she was acting so strange. "Um, honey? What's going on with Pinkie Pie?" Mr. cake asked. "I, uh... I don't know." Replied Mrs. Cake with a hint of nervousness. They were both seeing Pinkie was running around, appearing to be looking for something, causing some trouble in the banquet, and they start become a little worried. After searching for the cupcake, Pinkie Pie stops and takes a little break, trying to catch her breath. She is frighten of the fact that somepony might actually eat her cupcake, or that they already ate it and she has no more reason to be worried. Although she would have to face the fact that seeing that one particular cupcake was a once in a lifetime moment and she'll never have THAT moment again. So now, a sad little Pinkie Pie has to put it behind her and carry on with the rest of her day, as she gets another cupcake to eat, she starts looking at all the other ponies having a good time eating their treats. She then looks at the treat she was holding, and nothing. Not one single moment. And so, as she removes the cupcake from it's holder, ready to eat it and get the day over with. But, she then looks to the right, noticing a young, purple and green baby dragon named Spike, holding her special cupcake. "My cupcake..... it's still alive!" Pinkie Pie proclaimed. However, it was too soon to celebrate, for Spike was just about ready to eat that cupcake of Pinkies. Her eyelids widen, her corneas shrunken as she was witnessing Spike ready to put that treat into his little dragon mouth. Everything was slowing down, the moment was getting intense for Pinkie, then her frighten look turned into anger and then she ran over to him yelling out; "DON'T YOU DARE EAT HIM!" And then she just tackle him in the nick of time, only to prevent from eating the cupcake. As she did, the cupcake was already in the air, everypony was looking at it, and then as it was about to fall, Pinkie Pie turns around her face had expressed a terrified look when she sees her treat about to fall to it's doom. "Oh, no! MY CUPCAKE!!!" She yelled, as she tried to think fast and moved to the spot where the cupcake was about to land, everypony was in suspense at what they were looking at and right when the cupcake was about to fall, Pinkie Pie was already below it ready to catch it. "GOTCHA!" She hollered as she managed to grab it with her hooves. She then tried to get a closer look to see if it was still intact. "Oh, cupcake holder check. the frosting is still good yes, the cherry is still on top, that's good. Oh I'm so glad you're safe." Pinkie Pie was relieved to see that her precious cupcake was in perfection condition, then she tells everypony everything is okay and that the cupcake is safe. Afterwards, she walks into her room, minding her own business and everyone was just confused about the whole situation. Leaving them all to question about Pinkie's motives, even the cakes were worried about Pinkie's irrational behavior and how it has effected the banquet, you could even see how they were just pulling big smiles and laughing nervously because this is a huge embarrassing moment for them. Meanwhile, Twilight and the others went to go check on Spike to see if was all right after that little mishap with Pinkie. So far, he was able to get back on his feet, he was still in pain and a little dizzy he could barely function well. "Oh, what happened to me, mommy?" "Oh, Spike. Are you all right, do you need any help?" Said a very caring Twilight as she was offering him a First-Aid kit. Spike then shakes his head to stop the dizziness and notices everyone was crowding him. "Huh? Oh, no thanks. I'm good, really--" Then of course, Spike soon notices the first-aid kit that Twilight was holding. "Um... where did you get that?" "What do you mean, Spike? I always carry a first-aid kit whenever you get a boo-boo." Everypony then proceeded to laugh as the see Spike being pestered by Twilight, like a mother and a child. Spike's cheeks then turned red when he sees how Twilight his treating him and everyone laughing as they watch. "A boo-boo, Twilight? Really?!" "What? I gotta make sure that you're not hurt and that you don't get hurt. I do often worry about my little #1 assistant, after all." Said Twilight. Then the subject gets changed when Rainbow Dash starts talking about Pinkie Pie's unusual behavior that's happened today. "Uh, Guys, I believe that there's something odd about Pinkie Pie." "There's always something odd about Pinkie Pie, Rainbow." Proclaimed Twilight. "No, she's right, Twilight." Applejack said. "I do believe that there is something going on with Pinkie. Even though she's always a few fries short of a happy meal, this is really strange behavior. Even, for Pinkie Pie." The girls were starting to become worried about Pinkie and how she was acting, in fact, Twilight was still wondering if that whole fiasco with Spike and the cupcake was just another one of Pinkie's random antics. However, the others don't see it the way Twilight sees it... Meanwhile in Pinkie's room, Pinkie Pie was just putting her cupcake on a plate, then puts a glass lid on top to conceal it's intoxicating aroma. She then closes her door and locks, so that no one could come in and then she walks back where she put the delectable to watch over it. It was all she could think about, she wouldn't keep her eyes off it, she couldn't believe that she actually saved it from being devoured by Spike, although she does feel sorry for what she did to him. But... she had to do what she needed to do in order to protect the treat she so deeply cares about, though, it may have attracted a lot of unwanted attention, but that didn't seem to matter to Pinkie because what matters most now... is her new friend. "Oh, I am so glad that you are safe. there are no holes or rip lines on the holder, the frosting is unscathed, and your shiny golden yellow coat is still as shining as I first laid my eyes on it." Pinkie was so mesmerized by that one simple pastry, that the thought of eating it, was completely out of the question. Which wasn't like Pinkie Pie at all, when she sees anything that is purely delicious, she will gobble it up like Nopony's business. But not this cupcake though... apparently, she doesn't see as a treat to eat, NO! This pastry is now her new friend, she's even going to give it a name... "Hmmm... if you're gonna be my friend, then I'll need to give you a name." Pinkie then started to think of a really good name to give the pastry and while she was thinking, the cupcake was just idly standing there. And then, after a few seconds of thinking, Pinkie Pie has managed to come up with a name for it. "AH-HA! How about I call you... Chuck. What do you think, pretty fitting don't you think? A cupcake named Chuck." And so now Pinkie has given the cupcake a name, Pinkie and... Chuck, are going to be spending some quality time together by doing whatever Pinkie Pie wants and have a good time... "You and I are going to be... the bestest of friends!" Pinkie hollered as she jumped with total excitement. Then, she starts throwing a little birthday party for Chuck, because she wants this to be the best part for Chuck and plus... today is the day that he was made. While the party was still going, what was going on outside her room, was Twilight eavesdropping on everything Pinkie Pie had said. "Oh dear... I really hope this is just some phase she's going through and that it'll pass soon..." Chapter 2: ...And His Name is Chuck.So, the next morning came, we're at Twilight's home/library, Spike was on his bed, feeling sore from what happened to him during Yesterday's fiasco at Sugar Cube Corner. He was still going off about Pinkie Pie tackling him as he was about to eat his cupcake, As for Twilight, she was just fixing up her bed, fixing up her mane and gets her schedule out so that she can get ready to start her day. So before she begins her day, Twilight tells Spike that the soreness that he feels is nothing to worry about, of course Spike, would disagree with Twilight about how he feels. Seeing, that he was the one that took it and she was there as she witnessed it all. Hay, for all we know, Spike could just be using his aches and pains as an excuse to get out of chores today, because after all he's got a busy day ahead of him. "Please, Twilight? Can I just have the one day off? I mean, I am in sooo much pain to do any chores today." Asked Spike in a sappy, desperate tone. "Oh, Spike. I suppose if you do feel a little ache, then I guess I can let you have the day off. I guess I'll just have to figure out what I need to do with this sapphire gem that I currently possess." She replied, and with a grim smile on her face. And of course, when Twilight mentioned the words; "sapphire gem," Spikes eyes had widen at the thought that she possesses a sapphire gem. His teeth were chattering, biting his little claws, he wasn't so sure if he knew she was on to him, or perhaps that with so many things to do in the library today, she would reward him for his efforts afterwards. He really wanted to stay in bed the whole day, but after hearing this... how can he? Spike continued to hear Twilight go on about the gem she has and time was running out. "I suppose, I could give this gem to Rarity. After all, she likes nice things and she could use it for some project that she could be working on today..." Twilight added. After hearing what Twilight said, Spike swallows his gulp and finally gives in. "Um, Twilight..." He said nervously. "Yes, Spike?" She asked. "You know what... I think I'm starting to feel a little better now." He replied as he quickly got out of his bed. "Yeah, I'm totally feeling up to doing the chores today!" He added as he was laughing nervously. "Are you sure about that, Spike? You said it yourself, you're so much pain. I can always get Owlowiscious to fill in while you get better and you can-" And right as she was about to finish, Spike then rudely interrupts Twilight by telling her; "NO! Um... I mean, that's okay. I can assure that your number 1 assistant is more than capable in do the chores today. And I absolutely need no help whatsoever." That's right. After Spike fully and willingly said yes to doing the chores, Twilight has decided to give him the gem after the chores were completed. Hook, line and sinker. And now, Twilight finally plans her day with her heading to Sugar Cube Corner, so that she can have a chat with Pinkie Pie. Because after what happened yesterday, she needed to know what was going through her head when she tackled Spike to rescue that cupcake. So, she heads to the door and before she departs for Sugar Cube Corner, Spike begins to ask about Pinkie Pie's strange behavior yesterday. "Do you think that Pinkie might be okay? Because if you ask me, she's acting a little more strange than usual strange Pinkie Pie." Twilight replies; "You're right about that, Spike. Right now, I just hope that she's back to feeling like her usual, fun, silly and nonsensical self. So that's why I'm going to go visit her to see if she's back to her old self." "Okay then, I'll just be here cleaning up and what not." Said Spike. Afterwards, Twilight finally leaves the Library and starts beginning her stroll down to Sugar Cube Corner, just to see if Pinkie is finally back to feeling like her old self again after yesterday's incident. Along the way, just above the skies, was a blue, rainbow mane and tailed Pegasus flying overhead Twilight. It was Rainbow Dash just doing her usual gig, which is clearing out the clouds to begin the clear and sunny day. Then, when she sees Twilight heading into town, quickly descends so she can say hello to her. "Hey there, Twilight!" Yelled out the Rainbow Pegasus. "Oh, Rainbow Dash! Good morning, what are you up to this morning?" Twilight asked. Rainbow replied "Just clearing out the clouds to make room for a sunny day, that's all. What about you, what are you up to?" Then Twilight replied; "Well, I'm headed to Sugar Cube Corner so that I can have a chat with Pinkie Pie about yesterday." "Yesterday, huh? Let me tell you, yesterday was SOOO awesome! Totally awesome!" As she said that, Twilight gives Rainbow Dash a mean looking glance in which Rainbow added; "But, it was also horrible... for Spike. Speaking of which, is he feeling well after what happened?" "Yes, he is doing just fine. Although, he was trying to get out of doing chores today, so I may have brought a little something that he knows he cannot refuse." Said Twilight. "Let me guess, Gems?" Rainbow asked with a smile. "Yup." Twilight replied with a smile. And so, as Twilight and Rainbow Dash were conversing about Spike's gem briberies, the two of them head to Sugar Cube Corner so that they can see how their dear friend Pinkie Pie is doing. Twilight and Rainbow Dash arrive to Sugar Cube Corner, they head on inside the shop and who do we see inside the shop, well of course it's Mrs. Cake coming from the kitchen with some freshly baked goods, ready to be put on display for when the customers arrive. Mrs. Cake says hi to both Rainbow and Twilight and they both say hi back, then Twilight asked if Pinkie was around, Mrs. Cake then tells her that Pinkie Pie is up in her room and hasn't come out of her room since yesterday and this morning. Twilight was a little surprised to hear that Pinkie has not left her room, even Rainbow believes that it's not like Pinkie Pie to stay up in her room. Something was going on with her, and Twilight fears that it may have something to do with the cupcake that she had to tackle Spike, just to get it. "I can't believe that Pinkie Pie has been up in her room all morning, she's usually outside saying hi to everypony and is always wanting to do some weird, yet fun activity with us. If not, she's always throwing pretty awesome parties." Said Rainbow Dash. "If I had to guess, I think that it must have something to do with that cupcake from yesterday." Proclaimed Twilight. "Um... Cupcake?" Asked Rainbow in a confused tone. "Yes, the cupcake that she had to tackle Spike for. Which I am curious about, does she still have it with her?" Replied Twilight. So, the girls went upstairs to Pinkie Pie's room to check up on her and to see if the cupcake was also there, Rainbow Dash doesn't believe that Pinkie would still have the cupcake and thinks that she might have already ate it. However, as they finally got to the room, Twilight and Rainbow got to see Pinkie and the Cupcake from yesterday, still intact, surprisingly so. Then, Pinkie Pie noticed quickly that Rainbow and Twilight were already in the room. Bashed with excitement, Pinkie Pie gives the two a big hug, so big that the two were pretty much gasping for breath. Pinkie then releases them and tells them; "I am so glad that you two were able to drop by unannounced for a visit. So, what brings you two here on this lovely day?" "Well, I noticed that you haven't been outside this morning, cuz you usually are, saying hi to everypony and what not." Said Rainbow. "Um, Pinkie Pie, are you feeling any good today? We were worried about you and what happened yesterday." Added Twilight. Pinkie replied; "Oh yeah, I feel terrific! It's a beautiful, clear and sunny day. Nice day for a walk. OH! I almost forgot... there's someone that I want you guys to meet!" Then Pinkie Pie grabs the stool in which the cupcake is standing on top of, she places it in front of them and then she gives out the introductions. "Rainbow Dash, Twilight... I want you guys to meet my new friend... Chuck!" Said Pinkie. Twilight and Rainbow were staring at "Chuck," then they turned to one another with a confused look on their faces, which soon transitioned to worry. And then, they both look at Pinkie Pie directly, with Rainbow Dash to say something first, regarding his name. "Um... Chuck?" Said Rainbow. "Uh-huh! Chuck is his name, don't wear it out!" Hollered Pinkie Pie. "You don't say...?" Said Twilight as she was laughing nervously with Rainbow Dash joining her. "Look guys, he may not look it, but Chuck is a really good friend. He listens to me, we both have fun, we share a lot of things in common-" "Hold on... ...what could you, and a cupcake-?" "Chuck, Dashie! His name is Chuck." Said Pinkie as she rudely interrupted Rainbow Dash's question. "I'm sorry. What could you and.... 'Chuck' possibly have in common?" Pinkie Pie then replies; "Well, the two of us, um... ...we both love fun, we like to party, I like sweet things, Chuck is a sweet little thing. Oh, and Chuck here, likes to make people smile. So do I! See, that's several things in common." And then, Twilight intervenes in on the conversation; "Pinkie Pie, I don't want to sound... crude, but you do realize that this is a cupcake that we're talking about here. You know, an object that has only one purpose... ...and that is to eat. Not to befriend." "Twilight, you don't understand. Chuck is more than just a cupcake, when I laid my eyes on him, I had noticed the glorious gold coating, the delicate frosting on top and what's more... the cherry on top which makes it all complete. It's what makes him special, plus this cupcake knows me, he knows how I feel and we get along swimmingly." Said Pinkie. Rainbow Dash and Twilight were getting worried about Pinkie Pie, a little more than usual, even after hearing what she had said about the cupcake, Twilight fears that Pinkie may be going off a deep end. The thought of being friends with food just seemed weird, even for Pinkie Pie, but it's happening though. This cupcake like she said, is very special to her, in many ways the girls couldn't imagine. But, they were still focused on the fact that Pinkie has lost it and that she thinks that Chuck "understands" her. So, as Twilight and Rainbow Dash continued to convince Pinkie that the Cupcake is only meant for eating and not befriending, only to see that it was not working out for them. To Pinkie, it was sending a wrong message, but of course... they were trying to help their best friend, but she doesn't need their help, she just wants them to accept Chuck for who he is. Pinkie was very upset to where she can't even talk to them properly, so she and Chuck storm out of the room while Rainbow and Twilight were still standing there, worried and confused, but mostly worried. Because it was not over, this was just the beginning, now Pinkie is going into town, planning to introduce everypony to Chuck and they fear that they might make fun of her for being friends with cupcake and that alone, could upset Pinkie Pie with ease. So now the question reigns; "How long do you think till things go south for Pinkie Pie?" Asked Rainbow. "I do not know..." Twilight replied. "But I do know that she's in a unhealthy relationship with a cupcake and that it's going to take a lot more than just the two of us to convince her of that." "Yeah... ...and his name is Chuck. Honestly, where did she even come up with a name like that? I mean, He's a friggin' Cupcake!" Rainbow Dash asked. "I don't know, Rainbow Dash..." Said Twilight as the two of them head back downstairs. "...But it's the least of our worries."
Prologue: Baking for the BanquetJust another, glorious day at Ponyville was passing by, just like any other day as always. And what's even better, is that Sugarcube Corner is having a huge dessert banquet today, which is said to start around 3pm this afternoon. At this very moment, it is only noon and the cakes are ready to get baking for the banquet. So far everyone has an assignment, courtesy of Mrs. Cake. "All right, let's go through this again; Mr.. Cake will take care of the Vanilla Cake, Special Strawberry Cake, Lemon Cake, his special carrot cake and most of all... the *Equestrian Chocolate Cake*. Which is said to be the most, delectable, moist and mouthwatering cake in all of Equestria." "My, my, sure sounds like I got my work cut out for me." Said Mr. Cake as he let out a nervous laugh. "And Pinkie Pie, you'll do--"Before she could even finish what she needed Pinkie to do, she was thinking on what she could do. She even looks at the list to see what desserts can she make. "Um, what should you do?" But Pinkie Pie has already decided on what she's going to do and tells her; "Oh, don't worry Mrs. Cake. Me and Applejack are going to take care of the Cupcakes." "You and... Applejack?" Said Mrs. Cake. "Yup Yup!" Replied Pinkie Pie as she smiled at Mrs. Cake. "Well, where is Applejack, dear?" Question Mrs. Cake in a tone of confusion and her face filled with worry. And then out of nowhere, there was clatter happening at the front doors and with that... a brightly orange, blonde-headed mare wearing a cowboy hat, shows up with a bag of ingredients. And boy howdy, she was excited to volunteer to help out with the banquet. "I'm right here, Mrs. Cake. And I brought some extra ingredients to make those batch of cupcakes" "That's right, Mrs. Cake. Me and Applejack are going to take care of the cupcakes, we even have an idea what type of cupcakes we intend to make!" Said Pinkie Pie. "You do?" Mrs. Cake asked curiously. "Yes Ma'am." Answered Applejack. "We're going to make *golden yellow cupcakes. With **chocolate/vanilla combo filling, and individual frosting with sprinkles."* She added. Mr. and Mrs. Cake were surprised and they were very excited to know that the girls have come up with something that sounds incredibly delectable. So Mrs. Cake puts all her faith onto Pinkie and Applejack that they can make these golden yellow cupcakes in the nick of time and that they'll taste even better than they sound. "All right, very well then. I'll leave you girls with the cupcakes." Said Mrs. Cake. "Who knows, I might even try one before the banquet begins, just to see if they taste exactly as you describe them." Said Mr. Cake with a huge smile on his face, hoping that he'll get his hands on one of them. "We won't let you down, Mrs. Cake. And don't worry, there'll be plenty for everypony to enjoy." Said Pinkie with total confidence. After that, the girls went to go get started on making those cupcakes, Applejack hopes that she's got enough ingredients to make as much as possible for the big banquet this afternoon, after all everypony is coming to it and they'll be getting a hoof ful... and a mouthful of sweet delectables. Plus, they have about two hours to make all of the golden yellow cupcakes. So the girls get out all of the ingredients and the kitchen utensils, in order to get started baking those cupcakes. Pinkie Pie was very excited and ready to get baking, she even turns to Applejack to see if she was ready to bake as well. "So Applejack, are you ready to get baking or what?!" She asks with total excitement. Applejack quickly turns to Pinkie and replies; "Are you kidding, if I can buck a bunch of apple trees in a day, I can sure bake a lot of cupcakes in two hours. And plus with your help, this'll be a cinch." "HOORAY TEAMWORK!" Yelled out Pinkie Pie. Then after she yelled, she and Applejack both do a hoof bump and start to get baking. All right, Pinkie. Let's get to work.
Chapter 1: The Day I Made Friends with a CupcakeSo, the girls were baking their special golden yellow cupcakes with the vanilla/chocolate filling, they were having so much fun, but they realize it was a lot to do. After all, it was a lot of work for two earth mares to do and they were on a deadline. So far Pinkie Pie was really excited that she can't quite hold it in, putting the ingredients in the bowl like crazy, stirring them up. And while she was doing that, she was just humming up a song to keep her in the mood. She dips her hoof in the batter, licks it only to see if it tastes good. "Mmm!" She said. "This is sure to make their taste buds jump for joy!" She added. Then you have Applejack, who was really focused on those cupcakes, trying to make sure that she got all the ingredients in the bowl, hoping that she missed a thing, stirring that bowl as fast as she could. And then gets out the cupcake tray, places the cupcake holders in the tray, pours the batter in and puts the tray in the oven to bake. Two and a half Hours Later... As we look at the Oven's timer, the batch of cupcakes have about 9 more minutes to fully bake, then we move to Applejack who is very exhausted in baking those special cupcakes and then you have Pinkie Pie who is still going at it, even though they only have one batch, and it's the last batch in the oven. "Whoo-Wee!" Yelled out Applejack. "I'm a beat, plus we got the next batch already baking." "That's the ticket, Aj! We'll keep baking until there aren't any left to bake!" Yelled out Pinkie. "Um, don't you think we should take a little break, plus it's the last batch to make. And we got about 15 minutes left till the banquet starts." "What?!" Yelled out Pinkie Pie. Then, she looks at her watch to see what time it was. "It's 2:45pm, already? Wow, time sure does fly when you're having fun baking." "I'll say- wait..." Applejack then had a confused look on her face, her left eyebrow lifted when she saw the watch on her right hoof. "Pinkie pie, when did you start wearing a watch?" She Asked. Then Pinkie looks at the watch that was on her hoof and she too pulls a confused look on her face. "Hmm.... I have no idea." Then she takes off the watch and just throws somewhere in the kitchen, to where it will never be found. While the final batch of cupcakes were being baked, Mrs. Cake shows up to check in on how the girls were doing. As she walks into the kitchen, she sees a huge mess all over the kitchen, as if a tornado struck here. The look on her face was priceless when she saw the mess, her eyes widened and her jaw dropped when she saw the countertops, the table, the pantries and everywhere else... filled with batter. "Ooooh. Oh, my... is everything okay in here?" She asked nervously. "Oh, hey there Mrs. Cake." Pinkie Pie said "Sorry for the mess, but as you can see we managed to bake all the cupcakes, put in the filling inside and have the frosting on top, with Sprinkles!" Then, as Applejack shows Mrs. Cake the delectable Golden Yellow Cupcakes, Mrs. Cake was turned on by the gloriousness of the cupcakes. She didn't even bother to ask the girls to clean up the mess and warns them that the banquet is in 12 minutes. And with that being said, Pinkie Pie starts to bring the cupcakes from the kitchen to the lobby, just so they would be ready for the Banquet. All that, while Applejack stayed in the kitchen to clean up the mess, even though she really didn't have a choice, but it's not like it was her first mess. And so, the banquet has finally arrived and everypony is all here ready to dine on all the delicious desserts that were on the table; Candied treats, cinnamon swirls, cakes, cupcakes and many more. Looking at all the ponies, their mouths were watering just by staring at the sweet delectables that Mr. cake, Pinkie and Applejack had made. So everyone was gathering up to the sweets on the table, getting whatever they whatever they wanted, just so they can take their first bites. As the ponies bite on those sweet goods, they were all so excited that they were speechless, savoring the enriched flavor of the baked pastries. The cakes were thrilled to see that the banquet was going great, Applejack had already finished cleaning up the kitchen and showed up for the banquet, only to see that everyone was dining on the baked goods. And then, Twilight and the others had arrived to the banquet, Pinkie and Aj were really excited to see that they came to show support and enjoy the food. "I'm soooo glad that you guys, could make it to the banquet!" Pinkie Pie hollered. "Oh, come now darling. We would never think twice about missing an event such as this." Said Rarity. As she was looking at all the desserts on the table, and admiring the scenery at Sugarcube Corner, the décor she was witnessing looked like something Rarity would make when it came to styling a place of interest. Meanwhile, Rainbow Dash was eyeballing at the golden yellow cupcakes that Pinkie and Aj made. She was so mesmerized at the cupcake, the golden yellow coating, the frosting with sprinkles on top, she couldn't wait to take a bite off it. So she picks it up, removes the wrapper with ease, and eats it in one single bite. As she chews on it, she can feel the sweet, tingling sensation in her mouth, the chocolate/vanilla filling in the cupcake was literally making her smile and giggle. "Mmm! Pinkie Pie, Applejack..." as Rainbow was talking, her mouth was still slightly full from the cupcake she had ate. Then after chewing, she immediately swallowed it so she can talk clearly. "you guys have outdone yourselves." She added. "Thanks, Rainbow. After all, we made these cupcakes special, just for you guys. And everypony else." Said Pinkie as she smiled. "Yeah, we worked real hard just to bake those cupcakes to perfection. And let me tell ya, I am beat." Said Applejack. Then, she grabs one of the cupcakes that they made, takes a single bite, and was very impressed with the results. Yes, everypony is having a wonderful time, they were stuffing their mouths with every delicious treat that was there, their faces filled with excitement, all the "Mmms" and Yums" were everywhere and just hearing the pony folk enjoying the dessert. Just seeing their faces so full of life and frosting, has Pinkie Pie wanting to chow down on the sweets. So she has her eyes set out on the one golden yellow cupcake, with the strawberry frosting, the frosting was covered in colorful sprinkles and what's more... is that it was the only cupcake that has a cherry on top of the frosting. It made it extra delicious, she was ready to eat it, but then... as she starts to, she begins to envision it in it's glory. she was even complimenting on how glorious it looks and how it should be treasured as the most delicate item that she had ever witnessed. "Oh my, I never knew how beautiful it looks, I mean look at it's natural golden coat, so dashing. Then you have the bright pink strawberry frosting, which is a nice touch by the way. And then you have sprinkles, making it a free spirited cupcake, like me! But really, what's really special about this cupcake, is the intoxicating aroma that surrounds it. Which makes it worth having! Oh, and let's not forget the cherry on top, a good finishing touch if I do say so myself." After Pinkie kept complimenting on the cupcake, she was imagining herself with the cupcake, they were outside, they were frolicking through the flowers, the cupcake was on top of her head bouncing while she was hopping. She then had the cupcake in her hooves and were spinning around as the flowers were coming down like snow. Then she and the cupcake were at a picnic, and she was admiring the scenery while the cupcake was just standing there, looking cool. Afterwards, she was at the gala having the time of her life by dancing while the Cupcake was just standing there on the table. And then finally, after visualizing her time with the cupcake, she turns to the table, looks at the empty plate, not noticing the cupcake's disappearance until she started talking. "I realized how special this cupcake is to me, that's why I should treasure it and-" Right then and there, she finally realized that the cupcake wasn't there. She made a huge gasp and says; "Oh no, where did my cupcake go?!" She started freaking out, looking around to see who has her cupcake, so far Nopony has the cupcake she was looking for but she was still searching for it. Pinkie was looking high and low for that cupcake, searched up and down at every table, she was even looking at everypony's hooves to see if they had her cupcake. Pinkie Pie kept scattering around and has everypony worried about her, even the cakes were starting to question why she was acting so strange. "Um, honey? What's going on with Pinkie Pie?" Mr. cake asked. "I, uh... I don't know." Replied Mrs. Cake with a hint of nervousness. They were both seeing Pinkie was running around, appearing to be looking for something, causing some trouble in the banquet, and they start become a little worried. After searching for the cupcake, Pinkie Pie stops and takes a little break, trying to catch her breath. She is frighten of the fact that somepony might actually eat her cupcake, or that they already ate it and she has no more reason to be worried. Although she would have to face the fact that seeing that one particular cupcake was a once in a lifetime moment and she'll never have THAT moment again. So now, a sad little Pinkie Pie has to put it behind her and carry on with the rest of her day, as she gets another cupcake to eat, she starts looking at all the other ponies having a good time eating their treats. She then looks at the treat she was holding, and nothing. Not one single moment. And so, as she removes the cupcake from it's holder, ready to eat it and get the day over with. But, she then looks to the right, noticing a young, purple and green baby dragon named Spike, holding her special cupcake. "My cupcake..... it's still alive!" Pinkie Pie proclaimed. However, it was too soon to celebrate, for Spike was just about ready to eat that cupcake of Pinkies. Her eyelids widen, her corneas shrunken as she was witnessing Spike ready to put that treat into his little dragon mouth. Everything was slowing down, the moment was getting intense for Pinkie, then her frighten look turned into anger and then she ran over to him yelling out; "DON'T YOU DARE EAT HIM!" And then she just tackle him in the nick of time, only to prevent from eating the cupcake. As she did, the cupcake was already in the air, everypony was looking at it, and then as it was about to fall, Pinkie Pie turns around her face had expressed a terrified look when she sees her treat about to fall to it's doom. "Oh, no! MY CUPCAKE!!!" She yelled, as she tried to think fast and moved to the spot where the cupcake was about to land, everypony was in suspense at what they were looking at and right when the cupcake was about to fall, Pinkie Pie was already below it ready to catch it. "GOTCHA!" She hollered as she managed to grab it with her hooves. She then tried to get a closer look to see if it was still intact. "Oh, cupcake holder check. the frosting is still good yes, the cherry is still on top, that's good. Oh I'm so glad you're safe." Pinkie Pie was relieved to see that her precious cupcake was in perfection condition, then she tells everypony everything is okay and that the cupcake is safe. Afterwards, she walks into her room, minding her own business and everyone was just confused about the whole situation. Leaving them all to question about Pinkie's motives, even the cakes were worried about Pinkie's irrational behavior and how it has effected the banquet, you could even see how they were just pulling big smiles and laughing nervously because this is a huge embarrassing moment for them. Meanwhile, Twilight and the others went to go check on Spike to see if was all right after that little mishap with Pinkie. So far, he was able to get back on his feet, he was still in pain and a little dizzy he could barely function well. "Oh, what happened to me, mommy?" "Oh, Spike. Are you all right, do you need any help?" Said a very caring Twilight as she was offering him a First-Aid kit. Spike then shakes his head to stop the dizziness and notices everyone was crowding him. "Huh? Oh, no thanks. I'm good, really--" Then of course, Spike soon notices the first-aid kit that Twilight was holding. "Um... where did you get that?" "What do you mean, Spike? I always carry a first-aid kit whenever you get a boo-boo." Everypony then proceeded to laugh as the see Spike being pestered by Twilight, like a mother and a child. Spike's cheeks then turned red when he sees how Twilight his treating him and everyone laughing as they watch. "A boo-boo, Twilight? Really?!" "What? I gotta make sure that you're not hurt and that you don't get hurt. I do often worry about my little #1 assistant, after all." Said Twilight. Then the subject gets changed when Rainbow Dash starts talking about Pinkie Pie's unusual behavior that's happened today. "Uh, Guys, I believe that there's something odd about Pinkie Pie." "There's always something odd about Pinkie Pie, Rainbow." Proclaimed Twilight. "No, she's right, Twilight." Applejack said. "I do believe that there is something going on with Pinkie. Even though she's always a few fries short of a happy meal, this is really strange behavior. Even, for Pinkie Pie." The girls were starting to become worried about Pinkie and how she was acting, in fact, Twilight was still wondering if that whole fiasco with Spike and the cupcake was just another one of Pinkie's random antics. However, the others don't see it the way Twilight sees it... Meanwhile in Pinkie's room, Pinkie Pie was just putting her cupcake on a plate, then puts a glass lid on top to conceal it's intoxicating aroma. She then closes her door and locks, so that no one could come in and then she walks back where she put the delectable to watch over it. It was all she could think about, she wouldn't keep her eyes off it, she couldn't believe that she actually saved it from being devoured by Spike, although she does feel sorry for what she did to him. But... she had to do what she needed to do in order to protect the treat she so deeply cares about, though, it may have attracted a lot of unwanted attention, but that didn't seem to matter to Pinkie because what matters most now... is her new friend. "Oh, I am so glad that you are safe. there are no holes or rip lines on the holder, the frosting is unscathed, and your shiny golden yellow coat is still as shining as I first laid my eyes on it." Pinkie was so mesmerized by that one simple pastry, that the thought of eating it, was completely out of the question. Which wasn't like Pinkie Pie at all, when she sees anything that is purely delicious, she will gobble it up like Nopony's business. But not this cupcake though... apparently, she doesn't see as a treat to eat, NO! This pastry is now her new friend, she's even going to give it a name... "Hmmm... if you're gonna be my friend, then I'll need to give you a name." Pinkie then started to think of a really good name to give the pastry and while she was thinking, the cupcake was just idly standing there. And then, after a few seconds of thinking, Pinkie Pie has managed to come up with a name for it. "AH-HA! How about I call you... Chuck. What do you think, pretty fitting don't you think? A cupcake named Chuck." And so now Pinkie has given the cupcake a name, Pinkie and... Chuck, are going to be spending some quality time together by doing whatever Pinkie Pie wants and have a good time... "You and I are going to be... the bestest of friends!" Pinkie hollered as she jumped with total excitement. Then, she starts throwing a little birthday party for Chuck, because she wants this to be the best part for Chuck and plus... today is the day that he was made. While the party was still going, what was going on outside her room, was Twilight eavesdropping on everything Pinkie Pie had said. "Oh dear... I really hope this is just some phase she's going through and that it'll pass soon..."
Chapter 2: ...And His Name is Chuck.So, the next morning came, we're at Twilight's home/library, Spike was on his bed, feeling sore from what happened to him during Yesterday's fiasco at Sugar Cube Corner. He was still going off about Pinkie Pie tackling him as he was about to eat his cupcake, As for Twilight, she was just fixing up her bed, fixing up her mane and gets her schedule out so that she can get ready to start her day. So before she begins her day, Twilight tells Spike that the soreness that he feels is nothing to worry about, of course Spike, would disagree with Twilight about how he feels. Seeing, that he was the one that took it and she was there as she witnessed it all. Hay, for all we know, Spike could just be using his aches and pains as an excuse to get out of chores today, because after all he's got a busy day ahead of him. "Please, Twilight? Can I just have the one day off? I mean, I am in sooo much pain to do any chores today." Asked Spike in a sappy, desperate tone. "Oh, Spike. I suppose if you do feel a little ache, then I guess I can let you have the day off. I guess I'll just have to figure out what I need to do with this sapphire gem that I currently possess." She replied, and with a grim smile on her face. And of course, when Twilight mentioned the words; "sapphire gem," Spikes eyes had widen at the thought that she possesses a sapphire gem. His teeth were chattering, biting his little claws, he wasn't so sure if he knew she was on to him, or perhaps that with so many things to do in the library today, she would reward him for his efforts afterwards. He really wanted to stay in bed the whole day, but after hearing this... how can he? Spike continued to hear Twilight go on about the gem she has and time was running out. "I suppose, I could give this gem to Rarity. After all, she likes nice things and she could use it for some project that she could be working on today..." Twilight added. After hearing what Twilight said, Spike swallows his gulp and finally gives in. "Um, Twilight..." He said nervously. "Yes, Spike?" She asked. "You know what... I think I'm starting to feel a little better now." He replied as he quickly got out of his bed. "Yeah, I'm totally feeling up to doing the chores today!" He added as he was laughing nervously. "Are you sure about that, Spike? You said it yourself, you're so much pain. I can always get Owlowiscious to fill in while you get better and you can-" And right as she was about to finish, Spike then rudely interrupts Twilight by telling her; "NO! Um... I mean, that's okay. I can assure that your number 1 assistant is more than capable in do the chores today. And I absolutely need no help whatsoever." That's right. After Spike fully and willingly said yes to doing the chores, Twilight has decided to give him the gem after the chores were completed. Hook, line and sinker. And now, Twilight finally plans her day with her heading to Sugar Cube Corner, so that she can have a chat with Pinkie Pie. Because after what happened yesterday, she needed to know what was going through her head when she tackled Spike to rescue that cupcake. So, she heads to the door and before she departs for Sugar Cube Corner, Spike begins to ask about Pinkie Pie's strange behavior yesterday. "Do you think that Pinkie might be okay? Because if you ask me, she's acting a little more strange than usual strange Pinkie Pie." Twilight replies; "You're right about that, Spike. Right now, I just hope that she's back to feeling like her usual, fun, silly and nonsensical self. So that's why I'm going to go visit her to see if she's back to her old self." "Okay then, I'll just be here cleaning up and what not." Said Spike. Afterwards, Twilight finally leaves the Library and starts beginning her stroll down to Sugar Cube Corner, just to see if Pinkie is finally back to feeling like her old self again after yesterday's incident. Along the way, just above the skies, was a blue, rainbow mane and tailed Pegasus flying overhead Twilight. It was Rainbow Dash just doing her usual gig, which is clearing out the clouds to begin the clear and sunny day. Then, when she sees Twilight heading into town, quickly descends so she can say hello to her. "Hey there, Twilight!" Yelled out the Rainbow Pegasus. "Oh, Rainbow Dash! Good morning, what are you up to this morning?" Twilight asked. Rainbow replied "Just clearing out the clouds to make room for a sunny day, that's all. What about you, what are you up to?" Then Twilight replied; "Well, I'm headed to Sugar Cube Corner so that I can have a chat with Pinkie Pie about yesterday." "Yesterday, huh? Let me tell you, yesterday was SOOO awesome! Totally awesome!" As she said that, Twilight gives Rainbow Dash a mean looking glance in which Rainbow added; "But, it was also horrible... for Spike. Speaking of which, is he feeling well after what happened?" "Yes, he is doing just fine. Although, he was trying to get out of doing chores today, so I may have brought a little something that he knows he cannot refuse." Said Twilight. "Let me guess, Gems?" Rainbow asked with a smile. "Yup." Twilight replied with a smile. And so, as Twilight and Rainbow Dash were conversing about Spike's gem briberies, the two of them head to Sugar Cube Corner so that they can see how their dear friend Pinkie Pie is doing. Twilight and Rainbow Dash arrive to Sugar Cube Corner, they head on inside the shop and who do we see inside the shop, well of course it's Mrs. Cake coming from the kitchen with some freshly baked goods, ready to be put on display for when the customers arrive. Mrs. Cake says hi to both Rainbow and Twilight and they both say hi back, then Twilight asked if Pinkie was around, Mrs. Cake then tells her that Pinkie Pie is up in her room and hasn't come out of her room since yesterday and this morning. Twilight was a little surprised to hear that Pinkie has not left her room, even Rainbow believes that it's not like Pinkie Pie to stay up in her room. Something was going on with her, and Twilight fears that it may have something to do with the cupcake that she had to tackle Spike, just to get it. "I can't believe that Pinkie Pie has been up in her room all morning, she's usually outside saying hi to everypony and is always wanting to do some weird, yet fun activity with us. If not, she's always throwing pretty awesome parties." Said Rainbow Dash. "If I had to guess, I think that it must have something to do with that cupcake from yesterday." Proclaimed Twilight. "Um... Cupcake?" Asked Rainbow in a confused tone. "Yes, the cupcake that she had to tackle Spike for. Which I am curious about, does she still have it with her?" Replied Twilight. So, the girls went upstairs to Pinkie Pie's room to check up on her and to see if the cupcake was also there, Rainbow Dash doesn't believe that Pinkie would still have the cupcake and thinks that she might have already ate it. However, as they finally got to the room, Twilight and Rainbow got to see Pinkie and the Cupcake from yesterday, still intact, surprisingly so. Then, Pinkie Pie noticed quickly that Rainbow and Twilight were already in the room. Bashed with excitement, Pinkie Pie gives the two a big hug, so big that the two were pretty much gasping for breath. Pinkie then releases them and tells them; "I am so glad that you two were able to drop by unannounced for a visit. So, what brings you two here on this lovely day?" "Well, I noticed that you haven't been outside this morning, cuz you usually are, saying hi to everypony and what not." Said Rainbow. "Um, Pinkie Pie, are you feeling any good today? We were worried about you and what happened yesterday." Added Twilight. Pinkie replied; "Oh yeah, I feel terrific! It's a beautiful, clear and sunny day. Nice day for a walk. OH! I almost forgot... there's someone that I want you guys to meet!" Then Pinkie Pie grabs the stool in which the cupcake is standing on top of, she places it in front of them and then she gives out the introductions. "Rainbow Dash, Twilight... I want you guys to meet my new friend... Chuck!" Said Pinkie. Twilight and Rainbow were staring at "Chuck," then they turned to one another with a confused look on their faces, which soon transitioned to worry. And then, they both look at Pinkie Pie directly, with Rainbow Dash to say something first, regarding his name. "Um... Chuck?" Said Rainbow. "Uh-huh! Chuck is his name, don't wear it out!" Hollered Pinkie Pie. "You don't say...?" Said Twilight as she was laughing nervously with Rainbow Dash joining her. "Look guys, he may not look it, but Chuck is a really good friend. He listens to me, we both have fun, we share a lot of things in common-" "Hold on... ...what could you, and a cupcake-?" "Chuck, Dashie! His name is Chuck." Said Pinkie as she rudely interrupted Rainbow Dash's question. "I'm sorry. What could you and.... 'Chuck' possibly have in common?" Pinkie Pie then replies; "Well, the two of us, um... ...we both love fun, we like to party, I like sweet things, Chuck is a sweet little thing. Oh, and Chuck here, likes to make people smile. So do I! See, that's several things in common." And then, Twilight intervenes in on the conversation; "Pinkie Pie, I don't want to sound... crude, but you do realize that this is a cupcake that we're talking about here. You know, an object that has only one purpose... ...and that is to eat. Not to befriend." "Twilight, you don't understand. Chuck is more than just a cupcake, when I laid my eyes on him, I had noticed the glorious gold coating, the delicate frosting on top and what's more... the cherry on top which makes it all complete. It's what makes him special, plus this cupcake knows me, he knows how I feel and we get along swimmingly." Said Pinkie. Rainbow Dash and Twilight were getting worried about Pinkie Pie, a little more than usual, even after hearing what she had said about the cupcake, Twilight fears that Pinkie may be going off a deep end. The thought of being friends with food just seemed weird, even for Pinkie Pie, but it's happening though. This cupcake like she said, is very special to her, in many ways the girls couldn't imagine. But, they were still focused on the fact that Pinkie has lost it and that she thinks that Chuck "understands" her. So, as Twilight and Rainbow Dash continued to convince Pinkie that the Cupcake is only meant for eating and not befriending, only to see that it was not working out for them. To Pinkie, it was sending a wrong message, but of course... they were trying to help their best friend, but she doesn't need their help, she just wants them to accept Chuck for who he is. Pinkie was very upset to where she can't even talk to them properly, so she and Chuck storm out of the room while Rainbow and Twilight were still standing there, worried and confused, but mostly worried. Because it was not over, this was just the beginning, now Pinkie is going into town, planning to introduce everypony to Chuck and they fear that they might make fun of her for being friends with cupcake and that alone, could upset Pinkie Pie with ease. So now the question reigns; "How long do you think till things go south for Pinkie Pie?" Asked Rainbow. "I do not know..." Twilight replied. "But I do know that she's in a unhealthy relationship with a cupcake and that it's going to take a lot more than just the two of us to convince her of that." "Yeah... ...and his name is Chuck. Honestly, where did she even come up with a name like that? I mean, He's a friggin' Cupcake!" Rainbow Dash asked. "I don't know, Rainbow Dash..." Said Twilight as the two of them head back downstairs. "...But it's the least of our worries."
