Fluttershy in Past Time

Chapter 1

Brain Damaged

It was morning in Ponyville, and everypony was doing their usual jobs and activities in the town, that is, almost everypony. Inside a cottage just outside of Ponyville, Fluttershy lay on her lounge. She had an ice pack beneath her head, as is rested on the couch’s right arm. “Will she be okay, Doctor?” asked a purple unicorn, with concern in her voice. Redheart, the doctoress lowered her head, and then looked back at Twilight. “She will have to have a week’s rest, she did land pretty hard on her today. Unfortunately that attack from Rainbow Dash gave her a terrible damage.” she replied.

“I can’t imagine how terrible Fluttershy must have felt when she crashed on the ground.” sighed Twilight. Twilight was right, this butter-coated pegasi was a softy, and she was not as tough as a brave pegasi like Rainbow Dash could possibly be.

Redheart smiled as she glanced at Twilight. “Well, you must head home.” she advised. Twilight’s ears perked up and looked at the doctor, looking more concerned after the comment. “But what about

about the animals? What will they do when she rests?” asked Twilight, with confusion and worry. “You will takecare of your animals, in the mean time get some friends to help you with the job.” reassured the doctor. When that was said, Redheart left the house, and headed back to care for the other ponies in the hospital. Twilight turned, and looked at the unconscious pegasi with worry.

“Uuuh” moaned Fluttershy, as she began to regain conscientiousness. Her eyes slowly opened, trying to take notice of the blurry surroundings. Once she was able to focus she noticed that all she could see was buildings, with not a tree or mere glimpse of nature in sight. Fluttershy blinked in surprise and sat up, looking around. There were ponies, fillies, colts and gentlecolts walking past her. She rubbed her head. “Uhh, that landing was rough...” she muttered. Suddenly she froze, and her eyes started to widen as the gravity of her situation suddenly hit her. Her head turned from left to right, southwest to southeast, and in every other direction. She flew up from the ground as her wings started to flap wildly. “Wh-where am I? Why am I stranded in a gigantic city?” she asked herself in her usual meek tone. She blinked rapidly looking desperately at

her settings hoping for some clue of where she may be. “Canterlot?!” she shouted with confused shock as she stared a city sign nearby. How did she come to Canterlot? Where was everypony she knew?

“Mother! Can I take a book to see the Princess raise the sun tonight?! Oh please please please-“ whined a small unicorn as she galloped around her mother in circles. “Darling, you can’t take a book to see the Princess raise the sun. Remember, we must be respectful to the Princess.” said her mother calmly. Fluttershy’s attention was drawn to them and she watched the family of unicorns as they walked up the street. “Besides, Twilight, your mother is always right. Aren’t you excited to see the princess? We could get some ice cream!” exclaimed a small, pink unicorn excitedly. She was only a few inches taller than the little purple foal and appeared to be of some relation to the mother and the purple unicorn. Twilight, the purple unicorn groaned and lowered her head seemingly in frustration as she walked beside her mother and her sibling.

Fluttershy gasped, finally someone she recognised! Things were beginning to make sense! She smiled to herself, and flew towards the chattering unicorn family she had been observing, eager to meet the family of one of her dearest friends Twilight Sparkle. “Hello, I’m awful sorry for interrupting you. But I’m a friend of Twilight Sparkle. It’s finally nice to meet you two in person.” she said as she greeted the three unicorns, paying special attention to the small foal who was staring back at her with both confusion and trepidation. The young unicorn frowned, and pointed her hoof at the butter-coloured pegasi. “I don’t even know her!” she exclaimed dismissively and turned away. “Come on, mother. I want to go and see Celestia! Now! Now! Now!” the purple foal’s mother giggled at her child. “Of course, Twilight. Well, it’s nice to meet you, uhh, whoever you are. See you!” she said politely and confusedly to Fluttershy, and with that the unicorn family headed off. Fluttershy remained, just flapping her wings and floating with confusion. “Well, that was very unusual.” She said to herself, with more questions popping into her head with each passing

Fluttershy was thinking over and over, analysing her extremely bizarre reunion with Twilight and her parents, well, and another young gentlecolt and filly that was walking by. “If Twilight is a small foal, then...” Fluttershy’s words trailed

off as she thought about the situation further. How did Twilight grow into a foal again? How did she end up in Canterlot after she ran into Rainbow Dash? Why didn’t Twilight nor her parents remembered her? She had forgotten who the other two were; there was a small alicorn and a white, young unicorn gentlecolt. Wait, how come the pink alicorn is one? “Only Princess Celestia and Luna are the only alicorns!” When the finale idea had encountered her mind, she gasped as she noticed. She sighed. “Time turner must’ve used the hour glass again.” She lowered to the ground, covering her hoofs on her face. “Time Turner, anypony, please, bring me back to where I belong...”

“Darling, you can’t take a book to see the Princess raise the sun. Remember, we must be respectful to the Princess.” “Besides, Twilight, your mother is always right. Aren’t you excited to see the princess? We could get some ice cream!”

These words echoed through her head repeatedly. Her hoofs were taken from her face and she set herself firmly down on the ground. Her smile grew wide quickly, and gasped. “The Princess is going to raise the sun?!” she cried. She flew up from the ground again and she started to take flight. “W-wait! The Summer Sun Celebration?!” she asked aloud with excitement pounding in her heart.

The group of unicorns were the last members to make it to a park in Canterlot. This particular park was filled with many ponies and Fluttershy observed that there was a large crowd standing in rows, looking up at a sun symbol that she recognised from previous celebrations in Equestria.

The unicorn family entered into the park, followed by the butter-coated pegasi, who decided to fly up a little way above    the crowd to get a better understanding of what was happening. Twilight ran into the crowd and vanished out of sight some moments later. The unicorn family glanced at one another before they looked up to the sky.

The sun was coming up from behind the mountains, and Fluttershy noticed that some ponies were talking amongst themselves with a lot of excitement. Several guards were on each side of the stage, and the trumpeters began to play with joyful exuberance. Everypony gazed upon a large figure walking onto the stage. The viewers all widened their smiles, seeing a large white alicorn coming towards them. While the trumpets continued their musical welcome, the Sun Princess’s horn caused the air around it to glow white as she gracefull lowered her head. She then took flight and flew up from the ground, flapping her wide wings to help her rise up to the sky. The white glow emanating from her horn grew bigger and began to spread throughout the crowd. As all this was happening the sun finally reached it’s place behind the sun symbol Fluttershy had seen earlier, and the reflection shone out through the park radiating beauty and light. Everypony stamped their hoofs and cheered widely.
