The slender figure in the fog
Chapter 1: The figure in the fog #1
Load Full StoryNext ChapterMy name is Oliver. I'm 15 years old and I live in a house in the woods. We had just recently moved there,me and my dad I mean, after my Mom and dad split up. I was searching the internet, looking at things to keep myself entertained. I came across a creature called the Slenderman. Apparently it lives in forests and can stretch its limbs at will. Also it seemed to abduct children. There were also a few things that said some of the children he abducts turn into child slendermen, only cant stretch there limbs and actually have mouths along with the ability to talk. Of course, I just dismissed this as yet another stupid creepypasta thing that only existed on the internet and moved on.
The next morning was my 1st day of school. I got up at 7:30, had a shower, had breakfast, brushed my teeth, got dressed and packed my bags. It was now 8:20."DAD!" I shouted upstairs to hurry him up. He walked down and we quickly went out the door and got into his car. He tried starting it. It did nothing. He did it again. It did nothing. He got out and opened the hood, but since I was still in the car I couldn't see what was wrong.
"What is this stuff?" he asked himself
"Dad what is it?" I asked from the back of the car really wanting to just get to school. I didn't want to be late on the 1st day.
"Some sort of black gooey substance. It's jamming all the machinery." He said."Looks like you'll have to walk.".
"K. See ya later dad" I said getting out of the car and grabbing my bags."Oh and unpack the TV while I'm gone. I need something to do once I get back."I said as I set off through the forest.
School had been all right. Especially for the 1st day. I had made a friend and gone round his to hang out. It was dark now, and really foggy. Unfortunately, my dad hadn't been able to fix the car and he was still trying to get the TV working so I had to walk back too. I was wandering through the foggy forest when I saw him. standing there in the fog. The slenderman. At first I thought he was just my imagination, but then he began walking towards me. I took a few steps back and he sped up his walking speed. When he got up to me he stood there. He looked down at me and I saw the area on his head where a mouth should be start splitting. After a few seconds it opened up into a large mouth and he let out a terrifying streaking sound.
Then I could hear a song coming from seemingly nowhere. I turned around and ran. Ran as fast as my legs could carry me. I ran for what felt like hours occasionally looking back to see how far away from me he was. Then I saw in front of me two child sized slendermen with mouths. I continued running and they waited for the slenderman. Once he had caught up they started to run along side him and began singing the lyrics to the song that was playing.
Slenderman. Slenderman,
His branching arms are for collecting.
Slenderman. Slenderman
His face is empty of expressing.
Slenderman. Slenderman.
He won't let you say goodbye.
Slenderman. Slenderman.
You most certainly will die!
They took a break from singing as the song went on but kept chanting the 'You most certainly will die!' line. I was still running and I knew they were still right behind me. I was begging to loose hope that I could even escape. After a while they continued the song.
Slenderman. Slenderman.
Sometimes hums a lowly drone.
Slenderman. Slenderman.
He will wander round your home.
Slenderman. Slenderman.
Blends in well within the trees.
Slenderman. Slenderman.
In the fog he's hard to see.
They took another break. I could only guess these breaks were intentional. I wonder how they were so good at song writing. Maybe one of the children he abducted had written it from what he had known about him before the slenderman got him and he decided to use it.
Slenderman. Slenderman.
All the children try to run.
Slenderman. Slenderman.
To him it's part of the fun.
Slenderman. Slenderman.
Dressed in darkest suit and tie.
Slenderman.Slenderman.
You most certainly will die.
They began this break by giggling madly before there laughter died out and they were silent once more. The forest seemed more and more dence the further I ran, but I wasn't about to give up my life because of a only having a 1% chance of survival. After all, at least the 1% is A chance, unlike 0.
Slenderman. Slenderman.
Dressed in darkest suit and tie.
Slenderman. Slenderman.
You most certainly will dieeeeeeeeee.
They giggled madly before becoming silent. I saw the exit to the forest and ran through it onto a pathway and towards the town I could see in the distance. As I ran away the music died down. Eventually it stopped all together and I began walking towards the town, to save energy unless he came back. There was a house between the forest and the village. I decided to stay there for the night and get help in the morning. I went over to a place next to the house and fell asleep...
