Chapter 9- Lightning FTW

Twilights POV

I was walking over to Sweet Apple Acers. I was going to go check up on Matt and see how he was. He had only been here for about 3 days, so I guess he might be a little bit confused. Also, I reread the 4th tribe book, and I was going to try to teach him how to use the lightning element. I hope he can teach me a little bit about where he comes from if I help him. As I walked up to the barn, I noticed AJ running down towards the orchards.

“ AJ, what’s going on”

“I can’t find em, he wasn’t in his room,” she sounded panicked.

“it’s ok AJ, he wouldn’t just run off like that, I’m sure he’s around here somewhere,” trying to calm her down. And is if by magic, we saw him running across the orchard. He stopped when he saw us, and started running towards us at full speed.

“HELP, TELL HER TO STOP CHASING ME!!!!”

Then we see what he’s running from. The one and only Pinkiepie

“Stop silly, I just want to know if you like parties.”

“GAH LEAVE ME ALONE, I ALREADY TOLD YOU, YES, JUST STOP CHASING ME!!” He runs past us and jumps into an apple tree.

“Hey Twilight, AJ, how’s it going?”

“Um fine, could you possible leave Matt alone for the day, I was planning on asking him some stuff today, and no offense, could you possibly stop chasing him?”

“Sure, as long as he agrees to come to one of my party’s.”

“OK OK, I will come, just please leave me alone for a bit.” She looked a little sad, but she happily went of bouncing in the direction of Ponyville.

“So Twilight, do you want me for anything, because I was going to go show AJ my laptop.”

“Acutely, I was wondering if you wouldn’t mind going back to my house and answering some questions, besides I want to show you something too, AJ can come along if she wants too.”

“Nah, ah’ll be fine, Matt go with er, yall have plenty of time to show me your stuff later.”

I was so excited I almost started running towards Ponyville, but I forgot 1 thing.

“Um Twilight, I don’t really feel comfortable running into the middle of a town without people knowing who I am.”

I felt so dumb. That would not have ended well if I just came in with him in the middle of the town. I could just teleport him to my house.  This was going to be funny.

“Here, just grab onto my leg.” He gave me a look that was a cross between disbelief and really confusion. “Just stay calm, you’ll be fine.” I concentrated and cast the teleport spell. We were standing in the library. Matt stumbled back and fell down.

“What the hay just happened?” he was looking around confused.

“I just teleported you to where I live, I hope I didn’t scare you that bad.”

He smiled and laughed. “Scare me, that was so awesome, so what did you want to show me?”

“Yeah, well it said in this book that your race or tribe had the power to control the elements, and you could tell what you could control was by the color of your hair. Blue like yours for electricity, red for fire, green for ocean, brown for earth, and lastly blonde for air. So I was going to see if I could help you use your Electricity.” He gave me a look, and then started laughing as hard as he could.

“Wow, you got to be kidding me, I can control electricity?”

“Yea, so do you wanna try it?”

“HELL YA, so what do I do?” He was jumping up and down with excitement.

“ okay, if its anything like magic, all you have to do is concentrate on it, and it should happen. Now if it does’t work for your 1st time, don’t worry. It took me ages to finally be able to cast magic. So, just concentrate on a small spark.” He closed his eyes, and after a minute or so, a small spark jumped from his fingertips. He opened his eyes and his face was filled with absolute joy.

“ I CAN’T BELIVE I JUST DID THAT. YEAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH, oh wait, let me try it again.”

He closed his eyes and even faster, a large amount of electricity came out from his hands and went into a light bulb. The blub burned brightly and retuned back to its normal self. This went on for about an hour or so, and then I had an idea. I levitated a book over called “Electromagnetic fields”.

“Hey Matt, could you try something for me?” he stopped shocking apples and came over to where I was sitting.

“Yeah, what do you need?”

“Do you know what an electromagnetic field is?”

“I think, wait is that the thing with the magnets and electricity?” I ignored him.

“Well, apparently you could make em fields, in theory.”

“And how do I do that, wait, let me try something?” he closed his eyes again and I heard a small buzz.

“Okay, throw something at me.”

I was really confused, but I picked up an apple and threw it at him. It suddenly stopped like it hit an invisible barrier and fell to the ground.

“SOB, it acutely worked.” My mouth was hanging. I looked at the book under EM fields; it said that large amounts of electricity going through an EM field could theoretically become a barrier. I suddenly had another brilliant idea. I turned to a page called “Superconductors” I looked it up and I had a great idea. I went into the kitchen and picked up a fork. He looked at me really confused. “Try to make this thing float.”

“Um, okay??” he looked at it and it started floating.

“NO WAY, THIS IS SO AWESOME!!” he was the happiest I had ever seen him.

“Thank you so much for helping me with this, if there’s anything I can do, please tell me.”

“Yes, could you possibly tell all of us about where you come from, oh and show us your strange machines in your bag?” he smiled.

“I would love to.”
