It wsa still pouring with rain. Applejack was outside her barn, making sure that her apple trees were healthy and growing. She watched as the rain continued falling down and seeping into the ground, ensuring the growth of her trees.

Satisfied, Applejack went back into her home. Safe from the harsh elements of nature. She had heard not long ago about Rainbow Dash's condition, and she was not going to take any chances.

Applejack had planned to stay inside until the rain stopped. She went inside and shook off the rain like a dog, then proceeded to go and spend some time with her sister. Applebloom.

What Applejack didn't know was, that the rain had brought forth some unwelcome visitors. Out in the field, worms began to appear. They looked like regular worms, save for the magical green glowing aura they had. The worms made their way into the apples on the ground and the apples up the tree. Saving themselves from the cold rain.

A couple of hours later, the rain had stopped and so did the lightning. She stepped out into the sunlight, the golden rays of warmth washed over her as she stepped out. The still wet ground squished under her hooves. She looked up and saw a rainbow high above the sky. This seemed to spark something in her memory.

"Good god almighty! Ah gotta go check on Rainbow Dash!"

She bit a random apple that was lying on the ground, she hadn't noticed the glowing green aura yet, she simply didn't have time to stop and check on it. She sped her way towards town. She ate the apple on her way there, chewing down the worm alongside the rest of the apple.

Applejack charged into the hospital and skidded to a halt. She went to the counter and asked for Rainbow Dash's room number. The nurse gave her the four digits and Applejack was gone.

She eventually came across Rainbow's room. 1999. She pushed open the door to see that her five friends were already there. Surrounding the injured pegasus.

"Hi there everypony. Sorry ahm' a little late."

"It's okay Applejack. As long as you come you don't have anything to apologize for."

Applejack went to Rainbow's side. It truly was heart wrenching, Rainbow's wings were reduced to almost nothing but two pieces of bone sticking out her back. Applejack tried not to stare.

"So, yah feelin' any better partner?"

Rainbow Dash simply stared at her with a blank expression on her face. She had a empty kind of look in her eyes. Her magenta eyes staring at AJ, making her feel uncomfortable. She simply stared at AJ, not saying a word. She looked......hungry.

"Ah think ah best be leaving. There's only so much Big Macintosh can do."

Applejack left the group. She hadn't been very honest, but Rainbow was starting to creep her out. She rarely ever kept quiet. But her injury was pretty devastating, even Applejack would have trouble talking after something life changing like that.

Applejack shrugged it off and went back to the fields and started bucking the apple trees again. Causing the apples to fall. It was no big deal, her hooves had gotten rock hard from kicking the trees.

Halfway through her work, Applejack felt massive pain come from her stomach, suddenly she collapsed, losing all the feeling in her body. She screamed as the pain coursed through her body. She had no power over her body whatsoever. She simply lied still on the dirt, letting out the loudest scream her lungs could emit.

Eventually the pain died down and Applejack could finally see clearly again. She managed to rise to her feet. When she did, Big Mac came crashing through the trees. He had a look of worry on his face.

      "Sis! You alright?"

"I'm fine Big Macintosh. Just had a stomachache is all."

      "Maybe I should take over."

"Naw, I'll be fine. Say, are you done already?"

      "Eeyup."

Applejack sighed and got back to work. She was sure that what she just felt wasn't just a stomachache. It was much more. But she managed to ignore it until evening.

Applejack had just finished up dinner with her family. Big Mac and Applebloom had offered to clean the dishes after dinner, much to the relief of Applejack. She needed some rest after what happened today.

Applejack clambered up the stairs and opened her bedroom door. She locked it behind her and climbed in bed. Hoping for a night of rest. She closed her eyes and dozed off.

In the middle of the night however, Applejack suddenly felt that familiar pain in her body. It was okay at first until it got intense. Applejack struggled to hold in her screams.

This time around, Applejack felt something other than pain, she felt like there was something crawling in her skin. And it chilled her down to the bone. Eventually the pain stopped and Applejack managed to calm herself down. But it was difficult trying to get any sleep after that.

The next morning Applejack woke up. She didn't exactly feel 100% percent. But she was determined to go on with her life. She wasn't going to let a mere ill keep her down. What she didn't know, was that this wasn't just any common cold.

Applejack was fine for the next few hours. She didn't feel the pain at all, which was lucky. She could only imagine what would happen if she had her breakdown while she sold the apples. The stares she would get, priceless.

But this was no joking matter, she could die if she didn't see a doctor soon.

"Aw buck it. Ah don't need no doctor sticking his tools in me."

Applejack stood up and instantly felt like falling flat on the floor. She propped herself against the wall and felt that same pain in he hooves. She raised the limbs up and saw shapes moving along right under her skin, burrowing through her flesh. She watched in horror as a worm ripped through her skin and popped it's head out. Blood trickled from where the Worm had spawned.

Applejack watched, her face filled with terror as one by one the worms popped out of her. They were everywhere, from her tail to her head and even one of her eyes. Applejack screamed in pain. But nopony could hear her. Big Mac was in the fields, Applebloom was at school. It was no use, she was doomed.

Applejack's screams eventually turned into sobs. It was too much, worms were still popping out of her as she cried. Her tears formed a puddle on the floor, a puddle that showed the reflection of the worm infected Applejack.
