It was a peaceful and quiet day in Ponyville, except for SugarCube Corner. In there, Pinkie Pie was thrashing around ingredients for a new dessert. She was given a dare by one of her friends, Rainbow Dash.
Pinkie had a flash back of that moment. And having the argument.
"You can't mix a Pie and a Cake, Pinkie" Rainbow said.
"Oh yeah? I bet you 50 bits I can!"
"Challenge. Accepted!"
They spat on their hooves and shook on it, Pinkie then stormed away, to SugerCube Corner.
"Eggs! Flour! Milk! Apples! Chocolate?! CHOCOLATE!? CHOCOLATE?!" Pinkie screamed at the top of her lungs.
"Now Pinkie, dear, don't you think your working a bit too hard?" Said Mrs. Cake, seeing the kitchen torn to ribbons with baking ingredients.
"NEVER" she screamed, causing a small flock of birds to fly away.
The next three hours were spent with nothing but screaming ingredient names, the spilling and dropping of them, and a pink blur moving across the kitchen. She tried different methods every time. Fill it with ice cream and pie? Nope. Fill it with chocolate and apples? Nope.
"I will not give up on this challenge!" Pinkie triumphantly said, stomping her hoof into the floor with determination. She simply collapsed to the floor and sighed. "Never"
About three hours later, pinkie was asleep covered in flour and splashes of egg. She was cleaned off and carried to bed by Mr. Cake. In the morning she shrieked in sheer terror, her ingredients were set aside, not even covered.
"I will make up for this!" Pinkie exclaimed.
By this, of course, she meant lost time. She set herself to Supersonic Pinkie Mode. Drawing and designing different ways to make this special dessert. Yet again, she fell asleep, but managed to shake herself awake before being carried off to bed by Mr. Cake again.
Pinkie, you really should get some sleep" Said Mr. Cake, looking worried.
"NOT UNTIL IT'S PERFECTED!" Pinkie shouted.
"DEAR CELESTIA, I GOT IT!" Pinkie shouted. Mr. and Mrs. Cake ran to the kitchen to look, bringing Pumpkin and Pound with them.
Pinkie grabbed the dough, made it into a pie crust and filled it with apple. She baked it for about one hour, then smeared frosting all around it, similar to a cake, then proceeded to stick small pieces of chocolate all around it.
"Congratulations, Pinkie" Mr. and Mrs. Cake said. Pumpkin and Pound simply clapped their hooves and giggled in excitement.
"It took me two days, but I finally did it," Pinkie said with a sigh of relief.
About three days afterwards, everypony in Ponyville was asking for the recipe.
"Sorry guys, my special recipe!" Pinkie said with a wink.
She only told the Cakes and made them Pinkie Promise never tell. They happily obliged, getting to work to meet the high demand for them, even baking a triple sized one for Princesses Luna and Celestia.
After the period of a week over 600 of the Pickes were sold, racking up over 5,000 bits, including tips.
Pinkie had made one x5 the normal size, and brought it over to Twilight's home. Pretty soon Pinkie and her friends sat down to marvel at her creation. A gigantic Picke.
"I have to say, Pinkie, I'm impressed" Dash told her, handing her a bag containing 50 bits.
"Tooold yooou!" Pinkie said, with a bit of happiness in her tone of excitement. "Why don't you take the first bite, Dashie?"
Rainbow took a bite, and yelled as she flew to the kitchen, to drink arctic cold water.
"WHAT WAS IN THAT!?" She screamed at Pinkie, who was laughing as well as the other mares, and Spike.
"Liquid Rainbow. THAT'S for saying I couldn't do it!" Pinkie snorted in her laugh, as she always does.
Rainbow Dash soon turned to laugh with her friends, and they all ate the Grand Picke, and had a sleepover at Twilight's.
The next morning, they all woke up with a groan, and headaches. Staying up late and digesting enough sugar to kill a buffalo does alot to you.
"Hey guys?' Pinkie asked.
"Yeah" they all said in unison.
"Last night. Best night ever right?"
"Hay yeah"
They all sat up, and simply threw up in their mouths a tiny bit, laughing it down. They took the time to wake up fully, drink some coffee, and ate some leftover Picke.
"We shouldn't eat more after getting sick, should we?" Fluttershy said, blushing.
"Nope" they all said in unison.
"Ah well" Applejack said as she ate a slice, all of her friends doing the same.
After leaving the kitchen they looked around the main living room area., bits of picke spewed everywhere, feathers, and milk spilled. All of their jaws dropped.
"Buck."
They went into epic cleanup mode, picking up everything from dust bunnies,
