Chapter one: the storm
I'm going to tell you a story, a story about how my life changed forever.
The day it happened started as a normal day well normal for me. I got up, Went downstairs, eat breakfast, when back up, had a shower. My mom had already gone to work so I had to wake up my brother and sister. I was the only one that could be bothered to set an alarm out of me and my siblings. If it weren't for me Alex and Rachel would probably would have Probably never got up to go to school and when I did so I was greeted with the same replies every morning from by brother and sister. From my little brother Alex who had just turned 13 "FUCK OFF OLLIE YOU TAWT! " And from my little sister Rachel who was eight and nearly nine "thanks Ollie il set an alarm tomorrow so you don't have to get us up" but she never did and if she did I doubt she could persuade my little brother to get out of bed. It was like this ever since dad left. Before mum had got up in the morning and woken us all up like i did with my brother and sister. she didn't have to work as much then, And I always hated being woken up by a alarm. Something about the beeping sound they'd make would always make me angry in the morning but I forced myself to stop being angry in the morning when dad left. it was hard enough for my brother and sister as it was.
I have no idea how my brother and sister coped with my dad leaving. I didn't like to talk about it not even with my friends. But I know how I coped I became a brony. I found a show about happy multicoloured ponies kind of a distraction to how much my life sucked and I guess after I got over my dad leaving I kept watching the show because well... it was a pretty good show. Throw out all the time I watched the show I never managed to tell any of my friends and family. I think my mum may have known but if she did she never said anything. However I do know how my mum coped she coped bad which left me to be the strong one for my brother and sister because if I was not no one would be.
Once I got Alex and Rachel up i began to put my school uniform on. my school was not a posh school. There was a mixture of the types of people that would go there. There were rich kids who didn't get into the nearby private school and people like me who went to it because it was the easiest one to get to and were to poor to go to private school so unlike most schools there was a mix of rich and poor.
Once I put my uniform on I grabbed my bag, put my shoes and jacket on and headed out the front door. The weather was typical English weather grey clouds covering the whole sky and the sun depressing as always. Everything was normal except for a few storm clouds I saw far away from me I didn't take much notice of them and with a sigh I began the walk to the bus stop.
I was the second person at the bus stop when I arrived. The boy who got there before me was called Adam. Adam Was not someone I would have called a friend then, do not get me wrong he and I got along he just liked to keep to himself. Adam had dark ginger hair, was about six foot a bit smaller than me and about the same age 15, he kind of reminded me of Big Macintosh. I walked past him and sat at the other end of the bus stop. When I'd sat down I looked towards him and said "alright" Adam looked back and nodded to signify a yes. It was about five more minutes before my best mate Jamie turned up with his girlfriend Lauren. Jamie had blonde hair down to his shoulders and blue eyes, he was a lot smaller than me about 5 foot 5. I think that's the reason he became friends with me in the first place being smaller than most people he needed someone big to protect him from bully's. I didn't mind this Jamie was always a good friend and helped me out a lot when my dad left. I always fort long hair on guys made them look like girls that's why I always had my hair short but it looked ok on Jamie. Jamie girlfriend Lauren was taller than Jamie which I always fort was funny, her natural hair was brown like mine only a bit darker but she had her hair dyed dark purple and her were brown eyes. I liked Lauren she was nice, she was one of the only girls I new that would never bitch about someone behind there back. As they both walked in the bus stop I moved my bag I had put on the seat next to me to save spaces for them and said "hi guys" they both walked in and said "hi Ollie" at the same time and sat to the left of me.
Now I know what your thinking the day still seems pretty normal but this where things started to get strange. We had been at the bus stop for about ten minutes now and the bus was five minutes late. "That's where the bus normally never late" Lauren said as she got up to look down the road "probably just traffic" I said I was rush hour in the morning but Lauren was right the was hardly ever late. About a couple of minutes later suddenly there was a loud crash of thunder. It made me jump and then it started to rain, I thought to myself "great that's just what I need a fucking rain storm to walk home in". " do you think that's why the bus is late" Jamie said, I could tell he was talking about the storm. I got up and looked out of the bus stop, the storm had come from we're are buses did so it was possible. I said "maybe" When suddenly I was pull back from the entrance of the bus shelter. I heard a crashing sound from outside as I landed with a fund on the floor of the bus shelter. As I got up I realise that Adam was the one who pulled me back "what the hell was that for!" I said in a loud voice as when I had gotten up. Adam said nothing and just pointed to the entrance of the bus shelter. I looked where he pointed, A ball of ice the size of a small football had landed right where I was standing and had smashed all over the pavement. If he hadn't pulled me away at that exact moment that would have been my brains all over the pavement. I was about to say thankyou when there was a loud thud on the roof of the bus shelter followed by another, and another, and another. It wasn't just a ball of ice someone had thrown from the sky it was a hailstone, a hailstone the size of a football. The cheap wooden roof of the bus shelter began to splinter as the hailstones battered the bus shelter I knew it wouldn't last much longer. We had to get out of the bus shelter in into the building. That corner shop across the road was the closest building we could get into but it meant we had to run through the hailstorm which was a big risk. I turned around to check if Lauren and Jamie were okay. Lauren looked like she was scared for her life and I couldn't blame her so was I. Jamie was trying to comfort her and failing. Then I look towards Adam. he looked like he was trying to do what I was doing, find a way to get across to the corner shop. I looked back towards Lauren and Jamie and said "we need to find a way to get across to the corner shop or the roof is going to collapse on us" and then with a flash Adam began run "come on" I shouted and began to follow Adam. I had made it about half way, Lauren and Jamie were close behind me, Adam was almost near the corner shop door when suddenly crashsss... A bolt of lightning had hit the ground between us and Adam. I was flung off my feet and into the air, everything went black but I could feel myself falling and then i could feel nothing.
I do not know how long was I out but when I began to wake up my head was killing me, I could hear shouting which was only making it worse "HOLY SHIT!, HOLY SHIT!, HOLY SHIT!" I couldn't see who it was because my vision was still blurry, It sounded like a voice I had heard before but not like this but I didn't waste time on trying to figure out who it was my head was still killing me I just said "calm down, stop shouting"
"What do you mean calm down look at... you just...no no no I'm dreaming this has to be a dream"
My vision was beginning to unblur. I looked to where the shouting was coming from, standing there with a ginger main rusty orange coloured coat was an earth pony, as soon as I saw him I raised what should have been my hands to my face only to find they were no longer hands they were hooves. I was a pony
