Chapters "Pinkie Pyro"
Pinkie stood next to the entrance to the courtyard, her back to the wall. She peeked out to see if there were anyone guarding the entrance to the shack on the other end. On the top of the doorway to the shack, she could make out a red sign that said "Intelligence." "Bingo..." Pinkie Pie muttered under her gas mask. But she then noticed a BLU soldier came marching out of the shack, holding a rocket launcher with one hand, letting it rest on his shoulder, like the British guards would hold their weapons when they don't use it. Pinkie Pie smiled under her mask and put the flamethrower back on her back, getting an ax out. She waited for the soldier to turn around before aiming the ax at him. By the time she got ready, she pulled the ax back and threw it with all her might. She watched the ax spin like a tomahawk and watched it splatter onto the soldier's back.
The BLU soldier cried out in pain and tried to grab for the ax embedded in his back. But he then fell and started rolling down the stairs that was hidden in the shack, getting a huge concussion on his way down. But it didn't matter. By the time Pinkie Pie followed her victim down the steps, he was dead. Pinkie grabbed the ax and nodded. Her hair seemed to have straightened out, like as if she had a look of cruelty on her face. "It's past your bedtime you know..." She taunted at the corpse before moving on.
She walked past the resupply room in the basement and found herself in a hallway with three other corridors. A typical TF2 player would know that the first two led to the intel room and the third in the very back was a ramp into the main fortress. But Pinkie didn't know that. She decided to pick the middle corridor and walked through the hallway. But when she reached the corner, she heard something unpleasant.
BEEP! BEEP! BEEP! BEEP!
"A lone sentry?" Pinkie muttered under her gas mask. Her mane that was coming out of her mask was still straight. "Diamond mane! Come in Diamond mane!"
"Quit calling me Diamond mane! That's not my code name!" Pinkie turned around and saw Rarity in her spy mask, but the mask above her first one seemed to disappear. Rarity seemed frustrated at Pinkie, until Rarity noticed that Pinkie's mane was on the unusual side. "Wait... you aren't yourself.... what's wrong with you?"
"Nothing..." Pinkie muttered silently. "I'm fine..."
Rarity shook her head and got out what looked kind of like an old fashioned radio. But a typical TF2 player would know what it actually was. Pinkie didn't know what it was unfortunately. "What's that?" She asked.
"A present for the sentry." Rarity smiled as she walked on two legs into the middle corridor. Smoke emitted around her and another mask was seen in front of her first one. This time, it had the face of an engineer.
Pinkie watched as Rarity turned the corner, then heard an electrocution noise. The noise still continued as Rarity returned to Pinkie, "It's done. Go ahead. And make it quick. I've got a bad feeling about..."
INTRUDER ALERT! INTRUDER ALERT! INTRUDER ALERT!
"...THAT!" Rarity vanished into thin air, leaving Pinkie alone in the hallways with the sirens going off. A red flashing light lightened up the entire room every interval. Pinkie knew that her cover was blown, so she had very limited time. She charged right into the corridor and turned right as the corridor leads into the intel room. She saw the briefcase on the office desk and grabbed it, running out the same way she came in.
When she got back into the hallway, she heard many voices. "YEEAGGGHHH!!!" The voice sounded like a deep, Russian war cry. Pinkie had company. It sounded like it was coming from the exact way she came down into the hidden halls. She had to find another route out of there. She decided that going the opposite direction from where the voice was coming from would be her best bet.
She ran to the other end of the hall and found a ramp going up, with many turns. Before she could take it, she heard someone yell, "WHO DID THIS?!" It sounded like the Russian who gave the war cry.
"Ack... pity... but no time for mourning now! We need to protect the briefcase!" The voice sounded French. It was a very similar voice. It sounded like the RED spy's voice. But she knew it wasn't him. It must have been the BLU spy. "Also, he wasn't the only victim. Four others in one of our resupply rooms have been burnt to death."
"I WILL CRUSH LITTLE RED HEAD!" The Russian yelled.
"But first! The briefcase!" The spy replied.
That was the signal for Pinkie to run up the ramps to get out of there. She had a bad feeling about the Russian. Like as if the Russian was someone she would never want to mess with. She ran as fast as she could, and finally got up to the top floor. She found a hole into the first floor of the fortress, and ran for it and jumped right into it. She saw the two doorways that were the entrance and exit into the fort and took the one on the right.
She managed to get out of the fort in one piece. She turned to her right and saw Rainbow Dash standing against the fence on the other side of Pinkie. To a TF2 player, they'd know this as what is out of bounds in the map. Rainbow heard the noise of the pyro pony coming out. She stood up and turned around, nodding. "You have the briefcase?" She asked.
"Yes..." Pinkie said, throwing the briefcase up over the tall fence, which Rainbow caught with ease in her hands.
"Good, good! RED spy would be proud of you. And I do believe it's still hurting you huh?"
"What?" Pinkie asked. "What are you talking about?"
"Your mane's straight." Rainbow pointed at Pinkie's mane as she said this. "It means you are upset, or not yourself. Isn't that right?"
"I'm fine. It's just... it still pains me to know that someone would write such a thing about me!" Pinkie said.
"You know what they say, curiosity killed the cat. In this case, the pony. I told you not to go into RED spy's room. But you did anyways. You read it. Why do you always have to look?!"
Pinkie took off her mask and glared straight at RD. "I CAN'T HELP IT YOU KNOW?!" Her eyes seemed to burn with hatred.
Rainbow Dash looked frightened and backed up a bit.
Pinkie then realized what she has done. Her eyes turned to sadness, but before she could say anything, it was too late. Rainbow Dash dashed away with the briefcase in her hands. "No! Wait! Rainbow Dash!" Pinkie tried to reach out to her running friend, but she was long gone now. "I'm sorry...." She lied down on the ground and closed her eyes. Tears were streaming down her cheeks. "I'm sorry..."
But then, something grabbed her from behind. "WAH!" Pinkie cried out. The thing that grabbed her forced her to turn around and made her face her new predators. She saw a huge, fat, guy wearing what looks like some sort of knitted hat, commonly refereed to as Tough Guy's Toque, was grabbing onto her smiling at her in a creepy manner, as if he was about to eat her.
Next to him, was a slim man in a blue suit and a blue mask, a similar one that Rarity had on. On top of his blue mask was a detective hat that looked like it belonged to Sherlock Holmes, known as Private Eye.
"Well well well.... what do we have here?" The man in the suit said.
Pinkie Pie looked very frightened after starring at the big guy, who managed to answer, "We have pony! A cute one too!" It was the Russian that Pinkie has heard.
"I don't believe it!" The man in the suit was surprised to see that a pony managed to take their intel. "How the heck would a pony manage to take our briefcase?! Much to that, how could only ONE manage to do it!" Then the man shook his head from all the surprise and frowned. "Nevermind about that.... send our scouts after the one that has our intel now! We still have a chance to intercept whoever it is! As for this thing here, take it into the sewers!"
"DA!" The Russian carried Pinkie over his shoulder and entered the fort.
Pinkie starred in horror at the man in the suit, who smiled at Pinkie. Oddly, Pinkie couldn't tell whether or not the smile was friendly or a devilish smile. But where she was going, she knew that she would most likely never see daylight again, taking it as that the smile was a devilish smile. She also seemed to hear the man silently whisper, "You have a lot of explaining to do for us..."
"Rambo Dash"
Rainbow Dash ran through a forest with the briefcase in her hands. She kept running until she was out of breath from running on two legs, something she was not used to. If she could, she'd carry the handle of the briefcase in her mouth, except she needed to exhale properly while running. Carrying the intel in her mouth would stop her from doing that. But even if she was able to run on all four legs, she wouldn't really do much better unless she flew. But unfortunately for her, she couldn't spread her wings out. It felt to her like as if an invisible rope tied them down, preventing her from flying in this world. She wanted to know why she was unable to fly. But it didn't matter now. She was halfway there to their hideout.
She looked behind her towards where 2Fort was. She couldn't help but wonder if Pinkie Pie made it out alive. Last time she's seen her, she was enraged. At that time, Rainbow Dash did not want to further anger her, and decided to leave her alone before she offended Pinkie any further.
She then turned away from the forts and sat against a tree, breathing heavily from the exhaustion of running. She then thought to herself, Pinkie will be just fine. I know it. I need to get this to RED spy so he can figure out why we are here. The sooner the better.
She laid her head against the tree and looked straight up into the stars. They were beautiful at this time of night. They reminded her of home, when Luna always sends up the moon and stars when it's night time. She really missed Equestria and everyone there. She even missed Cloudsdale. She thought of everything in Equestria that wasn't here. Then Rainbow Dash smiled, as she realized she still had her friends with her, especially her best friend, Pinkie Pie.
Rainbow stood up and started walking towards their hideout on her two rear legs, carrying the briefcase in her front two. The sooner she gets the briefcase to RED spy, the faster they could probably get home by finding out how they got in the TF2 world in the first place.
But then, Rainbow Dash paused as she heard someone with a Boston accent shout, "There she is! With our briefcase! Get her!"
Rainbow Dash turned around and saw three scouts with aluminum baseball bats charge towards her. She knew that she couldn't win this fight with three against one. She did the very first thing that came to mind; run! Rainbow Dash dared not to look back at the baseball fans charging right at her and shouting insults at her. Not as long as she had the intel in her hands. After getting this far through their mission, she did not want to give it up. She looked up and saw a low hanging branch from a tree and jumped up as high as she can, landing right on the branch.
Rainbow looked back at where she expected the scouts to be. But they seemed to have disappeared. Rainbow took a big sigh of relief and sat down, breathing heavily. She never felt that much adrenaline in her before.
But with Rainbow Dash thinking she was safe from harm at the moment made it so that she didn't notice the baseball fan looking down at her from a branch just above her. "I got you now, pony!" The scout yelled as he jumped down from the branch at her.
Rainbow shot a glance upwards immediately and gasped right before the scout tackled her, causing both of them to tumble out of the branch and hit the ground hard. Rainbow felt dizzy for a second from the impact and immediately shook the feeling off. She felt that she was sitting on top of something softer than the ground. She looked down and saw the scout laying on the ground, injured from the fall. "Agh! Get off of me you stinkin pony!" The scout yelled.
Rainbow then noticed the scout's bat off to her right. She then decided to pick it up and got off the scout. The scout started to stand up right before something clubbed him right in the head.
BONK!
"Wwwhhhheeewww...." The scout said before falling back down on the ground with stars floating around his head.
Rainbow laughed at the unconscious baseball fan before picking up the briefcase which has happened to fall with them when the scout tackled her. "One down... two to go." She said to herself. That was when Rainbow decided to take a stand at the two remaining scouts. They weren't as tough as she thought they were after all. She stood still, starred down into the forest and took a batter's stance, as if she was ready to whack a ball that was about to pop right out of the forest.
But that was a mistake she made. Right when she made the stance, another scout jumped out at her, pinning her to the ground. The scout sat on her stomach and started punching her face. "I'll get you for what you did to my friend you stupid pony!"
Rainbow immediately put her hooves in front of her face to block the scout's punches from hitting her face. She didn't know what to do at this point. Sooner or later, the other scout would arrive at the now defenseless Rainbow Dash. Rainbow prayed to Celestia that somepony would come to her aid before the scouts decided to kill her for bashing in their friend's skull.
A couple of seconds later, Rainbow's predictions were right. The final scout has arrived, carrying a scattergun over his shoulder. He looked really ticked off at the rainbow pony for the trouble she cause. The scout that was on her stopped punching her and turned to face his friend. "Hey look at what we got here? It's the thief! And a pony as well! Can you believe it?"
The other scout laughed at Rainbow Dash and started to taunt her. "You thought you could outrun us? How's it feel to be down on the ground by us? You made a mistake on crossing our path you wimp!" The scout then approached the defenseless pony and pointed the scattergun to her head. "Say goodbye!"
But then, her prayers her answered.
POW!
Rainbow watched the scout that was about to kill her fall to the ground like a chopped down tree. Blood started gushing out of a bullet-hole in the scout's forehead.
This caused the scout on top of Rainbow to jump off of her and stare in the direction of where the shot came from. "Alright! Who's out there?! Come out here we I can see you, coward!" The forest stayed silent with only the echo of the scout being his response. "Alright, if you want to do this the hard way..." The scout smiled, grabbed his bat, and started walking towards where the shot came from, "Then we'll do it that way."
Rainbow saw this as an opportunity. She got up and grabbed the bat of the scout she knocked unconscious and slowly approached the distracted scout, before bringing the bat down with all of her might with a very loud war cry, "AAAAGGGHHH!!!"
WHACK!
The impact felt like it caused a huge skull fracture in the scout, as his head burst wide open when he hit the ground.
"Just in time, Twilight!" Rainbow greeted the sniper after approaching the purple pony hidden in a tree with a sniper rifle sitting right next to her.
"Just glad that I arrived right before things really got messy. But then again, you already made quite the mess." Twilight commented, handing her a set of headphones with a mic attached to it. "By the way, you forgot your headset back at the base. No wonder why we couldn't contact you properly!"
"Oops... I guess things would have been easier for me if I had it." Rainbow blushed from embarrassment and look down at the ground, rubbing the back of her head. She then took the headset and put it on, but left it off for now seeing as how they were heading back to their hideout soon.
"Anyways, that's quite the arm you got there. It's almost as strong as Applejack's hind legs."
"Heh," Rainbow Dash smiled and flexed on of her arms, "You know me. Always working out, right?"
"Maybe. Do you have the briefcase?"
Rainbow Dash brought the briefcase right over her head to show Twilight. "It's right here. Hopefully RED spy is correct as to the answers to why we are here lie within this briefcase. Then, we might be able to find our way back home!"
"Speaking of which, where is Pinkie?" Twilight asked, looking around "Didn't she get out of the fort with you?"
"Yeah, I saw her come out. But she was acting weird. I tried to calm her down but.... she got really mad at me. I decided it was best that we went separately. She should be back in the base in about 45 minutes if I'm correct seeing as how I'm faster than she is."
"Very well then. And I take it that Rarity is with her?"
"Yes, she should be if everything was according to plan."
"Alright. Let's get back to the hideout then." Twilight grabbed her sniper rifle and climbed down the tree. She then started walking back to where their hideout was with Rainbow Dash following behind her.
"Rambo Dash"
Rainbow Dash and Twilight walked up to large hill on the edge of the forest. On top of the large hill was a concrete bunker that was had certain parts covered in moss or dirt. There were long holes within the bunker that acted kind of like windows to shoot out of. When they climbed the hill, they noticed that most of the holes had a sentry gun with two miniguns and a rocket launcher on each. They were known as "level 3" sentry guns.
"Applejack had some time while you three were gone." Twilight explained. "She finally figured it out."
"Great! Now we won't be breached as easily as we would have been." Rainbow Dash said, impressed on Applejack's skills.
"We weren't easy to find in the first place anyways. RED spy explained that this place wasn't known to very many mercenaries."
"Good."
After about a minute on walking up the hill, they finally reached the bunker. There was a tunnel in the front of the bunker that led right under it. The two ponies climbed down it and walked down the narrow entrance. It was actually a pretty short trip to the end, where there was a ladder up into the base. They climbed up it and were greeted by Applejack and Fluttershy, who were standing on both sides of the hole.
"'Bout time yall got back." Applejack said.
"I was really worried about you two!" Fluttershy breathed a sigh of relief after seeing the two in one piece. "But... where are the other two?"
"They'll be here in a while." Rainbow Dash told Fluttershy once she got up the ladder. "Afterall, I am faster than Pinkie and Rarity."
"Oh, good. Are you two hurt?" Fluttershy asked, she then grabbed her medi gun in her mouth and was ready to shoot any of the two to heal their injuries.
"I'm fine. But I saw Rainbow Dash getting punched in the face repeatedly." Twilight said, pointing to the rainbow pegasus.
"Yeah, I could maybe use a dose. But other than that, I'm fine." Rainbow Dash admitted.
Fluttershy pulled the lever on the medi gun and shot the pegasus with a red beam of light that had health crosses appearing in the stream of light.
Rainbow Dash closed her eyes and looked up to relax as she was being treated to the nice, cold wave of health that streamed right into her. "Ah... that feels really nice!"
"You do deserve it after a hard days work!" Applejack said, smiling at her friend. "And I see you've got the briefcase. Let's hope that it contains what we are looking for."
"I'll take that." A voice said that seemed to startle everyone. They all saw RED spy walk in from his room. He was wearing some shades and a black, fancy fedora. He smiled when he saw Rainbow Dash with the briefcase.
Rainbow Dash nodded slowly and nervously, as if she was intimidated by the spy's appearance. She walked up to him and handed him the intel, with the spy taking it happily and nodding at the pegasus. He then noticed how nervous Rainbow Dash was. "Oh, intimidated by my looks? Don't worry. I like wearing this stuff. It's actually very fitting with me, if you know what I mean. Always appearing as if I was on someone's side thanks to my disguise kit. The BLU team always mistakes me for a teammate with it, until it's too late." The spy had a wicked looking grin on his face as he was saying this.
"Um... okay..." Rainbow Dash said silently. With that, RED spy nodded and walked back into his room, closing the door behind him with a click right after it, as if he locked the door to make sure the ponies didn't enter.
"Still unhappy with Pinkie going into his room?" Rainbow asked.
"Doubt it. But if he was, he wouldn't be showing any signs of it." Twilight muttered. "Speaking of Pinkie, shouldn't she be arriving in a few minutes?"
"Pinkie isn't coming back." A familiar voice said. Everyone turned and saw Rarity standing against the wall, right next to the hole Rainbow and Twilight came up in.
"What? What do you mean she isn't coming back? Is she really that mad at me?" Rainbow asked.
"No. She isn't mad. Or at least... with you. She's mad at herself. I saw her crying next to the fence after you ran away. I'm guessing she thought you abandoned her as a friend. But that's not the point. While she was crying, two BLU mercenaries caught her off guard and captured her. She's held prisoner in 2Fort for all I know. I tried following them. But my "cloak and dagger" was running low on battery. So I had to wait a while before I could move again. I didn't want to risk getting a disguise on and being visible to everyone while following Pinkie's captors. It'd be too obvious that I was a spy. But anyways, I managed to track them to the top of the stair case down into their sewers before my cloak ran out. By the time I tried to follow them again, I saw the two in the sewers. Just the two of them, laughing. There was no Pinkie Pie with them. It couldn't make any sense. It's like she vanished into thin air, or they put her in a cage in the water outside of their fort. But they could have done that without going into the fort itself and throwing her into the river right outside of it."
Rainbow Dash had a look of guilt on her and looked down. She couldn't help but feel it was her fault for this. If she hadn't mentioned the incident to Pinkie, this probably never would have happened.
"They must have a secret entrance in their sewers then." Twilight said.
Rarity thought about it for a while before finally nodding. "Most likely they do. That's probably the only logical explanation on Pinkie's disappearance after that. I would've probably searched but... I didn't really feel comfortably on trying to go in there."
"Oh... I hope she's okay." Fluttsershy said nervously.
"We'll have to go back! We never leave our friends behind!" Applejack announced.
Rainbow Dash looked up to her friends and nodded. "I'll go alone!"
"What?!" All of her friends asked in union s the rainbow pony said this.
"It's my fault she got taken captive. I'm not going to let this burden any of you. I'm going by myself to make things right!"
"Now hold on there, Nelly." Applejack said, walking up to her friend. "Just because it's your fault doesn't mean we can't go. Pinkie is a friend to us all! We go together!"
"I'm not going to risk any of you getting killed for something that's my fault!" Rainbow Dash replied. "I'm going alone."
"Rainbow Dash, you do know that with more of us, none of us will die as easily as with just one of us." Twilight said, shaking her head to Rainbow's stubbornness.
Rainbow Dash shook her head. Tears seemed to well up in her eyes. "No... let me do this. Please." Everyone was surprised to see Rainbow Dash saying "please" about something like this. It's a very rare occasion to hear her say such a thing. "This is my fault. I want to fix it without the help of my friends. Please... let me do this alone."
Applejack sighed and hesitated, before finally nodding her head. "I say let her go. Anyone else agree?" She didn't sound like she meant it, but she managed to mutter every word of it.
"Well... you are a very loyal friend there, Rainbow Dash. I'll let you go alone if you really do insist on this." Twilight said, smiling.
"If you insist then Rainbow." Rarity said. "At least my hooves wouldn't get all icky from that sewer."
"Do... do be careful..." Fluttershy said silently. "We won't be able to help you... unfortunately."
"I'll be fine! Just trust me. I'll be back before you know it. And I'll be sure to bring our friend back. You can count on me!" Rainbow Dash said, saluting her friends, right before she jumped into the hole to run out into the forest again. This time, to save her very close friend.
"Pinkie Pyro"
Pinkie woke up from feeling very uncomfortable on a hard, concrete floor. She had no memory of what happened in the past hour. She didn't know where she was or what was going on. She rubbed her eyes to get rid of the blurriness in her vision from sleeping on a hard surface. She then looked around to see where she was, but all she saw were stone brick walls and an iron barred area with an iron door to get out. She was in a prison cell. The place felt very damp as well. She noticed a puddle in a corner with water dripping from the ceiling.
She looked down at herself to see that she was still in her fire suit. But then she noticed that her mask was missing. But then she realized, she actually took it off right before she was captured, right when she met up with Rainbow Dash. She still felt very sorry for offending her. She then remembered that a fat Russian took her over his shoulder and dragged her into their base. At that moment is where she couldn't remember what exactly happened. Did she get very sleepy from how late it was? Did she pass out from fear? She couldn't tell.
"Finally awake huh?" A French voice said. Pinkie turned around and saw the BLU spy right on the other side of the bars. He was sitting on a barrel in the corner, smoking on a cigar. He was also holding a cigarette case in his right hand. "You're a very tough pony, I shall admit. But not strong enough to defeat all of us."
"I had help you know..." Pinkie muttered.
"Yes, we know. We found a sapper in our intel room. It destroyed our engineer's sentry. But that doesn't really matter now. He's dead and our intel is now in your friend's hands. We sent scouts after her but they haven't reported back. Something unexpected for us." The BLU spy smiled and nodded as if he was impressed. "But rest assured, they'll be back for you. We know because we actually caught your spy snooping around, trying to find out where we are taking you. She probably doesn't even know we spotted her."
Pinkie inferred that the BLU spy meant that they killed her right before she could even notice what was going on. "You.... you... YOU SNEAKY, MEAN MOTHER HUBBARDS! I'M GOING TO KILL YOU FOR WHAT YOU DID TO RARITY!"
"Rarity? She's your spy huh?" The BLU spy chuckled to this. "Yes, I figured that's who your spy would be. And don't worry. We didn't do anything to her.... yet. We just let her go just like that. We know that she will bring back her friends to can and get you back, Pinkie Pie. Maybe she'll bring back Rainbow Dash, the very same one who took our briefcase."
Pinkie Pie stepped back in shock to hear that the spy knows their names. It is very unusual for someone who hates their kind knows their names. "How.... how do you know our names?"
"It's simple really." The spy shrugged and chuckled at the pony's curiosity. "I'm a spy. We can figure out our enemy's names just by looking at them. It's that simple really. Even a party pony like you should know that. And your friends would know better than to come back for you, as we keep a better watch on our fortress after it's been successfully breached. But don't worry. We'll make your friends' deaths nice, quick, and painless."
Pinkie only glared at the French mercenary. She really hated how he was talking to her. He seemed to be talking to her as if she was a joke. She felt like the very same Pinkie Pie that was under Discord's spell, making her turn gray. But this wasn't the case. This mercenary she was talking to really ticked her off. She looked around for her flamethrower and ax, but couldn't find them in her cell. She then saw that the spy stood up and opened the top of the barrel. The spy reached in and took out some gas tanks and Pinkie's flamethrower that was attached to it. He even took out her bloodstained ax.
"Your weapons ma'am?" The spy asked with his devilish smile.
"You're lucky I'm stuck in this damp, dank cell! I'd make a barbeque out of you if I weren't!" At this point, Pinkie ran up to the bars and grabbed them, trying to shake them as if she were trying to break them.
The spy laughed at Pinkie's behavior before putting the weapons back into the barrel and walked to the other side of the room, where there was a curved, black steel wall. The spy knocked on the middle of it and revealed a hidden door that opened up by sliding. He then walked right out of the room, but to Pinkie's surprise, the spy didn't even bother closing the door. Was he mocking her, or did he just simply forget? She didn't get it at all. She thought something much more weird was going on with the spy. And what's more weird to Pinkie was that she had a feeling that she shouldn't kill him at all, despite her behavior towards him. There was something that the BLU spy was hiding from her that she should've probably known. Rather, she had a strange feeling that the BLU spy wasn't really her actual enemy. She didn't even know why. But whatever the reason was, Pinkie dismissed it in order to find out how she could get out of the prison cell before someone realized the spy forgot to close the curved door.
But while she was thinking, she let out a very big yawn. She was tired from the lack of sleep she had ever since they found themselves in the world of Team Fortress 2. She tried to resist sleeping, but the deprivation got the best of her, right before she fell to the ground with her eyes shut, snoring.
"Pinkie! Wake up!" A familiar voice said.
"Huh... Wha..." Pinkie muttered, slowly opening her eyes to see who it was.
"Pinkie! Come on, before they find us!"
"What? Who?" Pinkie sat up and rubbed her eyes once more, seeing a familiar, friendly face right in front of her. It was Rainbow Dash. At first, Pinkie thought that she was captured as well, up until that she saw the iron door of the prison cell was now wide open. "How... how did you find me?"
"Rarity told us that you were held in a secret room in the BLU sewers. But it really wasn't a secret. The door was wide open. Looks like someone forgot to lock the doors." Rainbow Dash laughed for a short while about this, causing Pinkie to laugh as well. But they weren't laughing at the BLU's ignorance, but about the fact that they were together again. It was like their argument never existed in the first place. "Come on Pinkie, let's find your weapons and get you out of this dump."
"You said it!" Pinkie said, smiling. She didn't even notice at this point, her mane became curly again. She followed the pegasus out of the cell and walked up to the barrel, opening the top off to grab her two weapons. She equipped the flamethrower in her hands and turned the safety off. BLU spy must have turned it on the keep his butt from being burnt as he sat on the barrel.
But what Rainbow Dash said next surprised her a bit. "You know... I'm surprised there was no one but you in here. It's like as if you put yourself in the cell."
"What? There's.... no one here?"
"Yeah. It's like a ghost town, except it's a fort. But either way, we need to keep on our guard. It truly can't be this easy!"
Pinkie Pie didn't get it at all. She was sure that the spy told her that Rainbow would get killed because of how they'd be more aware after what she did. "It must be a trap then!"
"Most likely. But either way, we need to get going while we can!" Rainbow Dash charged right out of the sewer door and headed to the right where the staircase up into the fort would be, with Pinkie following right behind her.
"Pinkie Pyro"
"I don't get it. I just don't!" Rainbow Dash said as they walked out of one of the doorways into and out of the fort. "Where are they? Are they even in the fort?"
"It's really weird indeed." Pinkie Pie looked back into the fort and thought about what the BLU spy said about them keeping on their guard. Did he just let them go that easily without even a single trap? This is what she pondered in her head. She didn't get it at all.
"Well, we're wasting time here. We better get going." Rainbow finally said after they scanned the area for a few seconds. "If they aren't going to fight, then they aren't. Let's just consider ourselves lucky."
"I guess so..." Pinkie Pie said. She glanced over to the nearby fence where she was caught and found her mask lying there. She walked over to it, picked it up, and put it over her face. She then watched the rainbow pony climb up the fence and jump down onto the other side of it. Pinkie climbed up after her. When she got to the top, she gave the fort one more glance before finally jumping down to Rainbow was.
After finally arriving back at their base, RED spy came out of his room and greeted the scout and pyro with a sinister smile. "Well well well.... looks like you finally came back." He then looked at Rainbow Dash and frowned. However, no one could read his eyes because of the sunglasses he was wearing. "I didn't order you to go back there, scout."
Rainbow glared at the spy, crossed her arms, and frowned, muttering, "It's Rainbow Dash..."
The spy only waved his hand around as if he didn't care, saying, "Well, as you ponies would say.... whatever!"
Rainbow spat towards the spy, displeased with his carelessness. Fluttershy noticed this and was frightened by Rainbow's actions. She leaned to her ear whispering, "Um... Rainbow Dash.... is it okay if you do that? He seems really scary, and I don't want us to get hurt by him."
If RED spy noticed what Fluttershy was doing, he ignored it. Rainbow's only reply was, "Don't worry about it... If he lays a hand on me, he's..."
"Hey, before this gets kind of out of hand, what did you find out?" Twilight interrupted.
"Ah yes. I found out how you guys got here. There is a place called Gravel Pit about 25 miles from here." RED spy reached into his pocket on his suit and took out a photo of the laser gun that was on top of the tower of Capture Point C. "That laser gun is the reason why you guys are here. You see, this laser gun used to belong to us, the 'Reliable Excavation Demolition' crew. That's what RED stands for. Anyways, not too long ago, the 'Builders League United' has taken it over, using this gun for themselves. They apparently modified it to make you guys arrive here so they could kill you themselves. Sad isn't it that haters would go this far?"
"I see." Twilight said, nodding at the picture. "You want us to take it back so you could send us back with that laser gun then?"
"Yes, that would be beneficial for the both of us. You ponies would finally get to your world and our company would finally get back something that is rightfully designed by us." The RED spy said, smiling once more. "But it is very well guarded, as you have to take the Radio Tower and the Radar before you can get to the laser gun. Each point blocks the path to it, I hope you know. Also, these points can help call for reinforcements or find your positions easily. So you need to take both, not one. Got it?"
"Hm... small chance of success I reckon..." Applejack said. "What are we waiting for?"
"Alright then, let's go!" Pinkie said.
"Oh... oh my... do I have to go?" Fluttershy asked very silently.
"We'd appreciate it. Could always use someone to help keep us alive." Twilight said, smiling to her friend in hopes of her agreeing to go.
"Well.... I wouldn't want you guys hurt then. I guess I'm going then."
"Good answer!" Rainbow Dash said, patting Fluttershy on the shoulder. "Let's go everyone!"
((Dang... it's been a long time since I posted. Hopefully I can post more often now. I'm kind of having a writers block right now. Also, I'm not southern, so I might not be good with AJ's dialogue. But I hope it still works. Anyways, some actualy fighting going on soon, so stay tuned fellow Pony Fortress crew c: ))
"Rambo Dash"
With Rainbow Dash having the ability to fly like a Dodo in this world, she was pretty much useless at scouting out the area here. Even though she was the scout of the team as well, scouts are not the ones to "scout out" enemy bases anyways in Team Fortress 2 because of how weak they are. She and the other four members of her team, with the exception of Rarity who's out spying on the first two points, sat in a circle, looking over a map of the place which they picked up from the base before they left.
"This is kind of odd seeing as how it's always BLU that is trying to take this place. Now it's BLU who's defending. But what's going to be weird for them... it's us and not RED who's taking it back," Twilight started to say, "Now... we need to figure out how to do this."
"Ah reckon that A and B need ta' be taken before the "last point", or whatever? That laser doohickey that brought us here to this place?" Applejack asked.
"Apparently so." Twilight muttered. "This A point.. right here." Twilight pointed at a radio tower on the map, commonly referred to as point A. "I've been told by RED spy that this point here is easy to capture and hard to defend, as the area is too open and anyone guarding it can get easily sniped by the opposing alliance. Also, sentries here can get easily flanked if they were built here, making it an even more vulnerable spot. This is where we will capture first. I'm sure Rainbow Dash can go capture this by herself while Applejack builds a temporary base here, allowing us to push forward to the laser more easily once we captured point B, the Radar room. But we'll need to find out how many troops are stationed in A first if we're going with this."
"Bah! I can take on anyone!" Rainbow Dash shouted, blasting her scattergun towards the back of the room and then pulling the handle lever on it to eject the used round. Somehow, it seems to magically dispense a new round in as she does that, which Twilight never seems to get when they first got into the TF2 world. "Those stinkin' BLUs aren't going to be called blue for nothing once I'm done with those sad chumps! They'll pay for taking us away from our friends in Equestria!"
"Whoa there, nelly." Applejack said, trying to calm her down. "Y'all get yur chance soon. Ra'ight now, we need a plan or we'll never see our friends again, y'hear?"
"Applejack is right." Twilight said. "Don't rush this. Fluttershy can't be in two places at once to heal us. And Fluttershy can't use her Medi Gun on herself. Also, it's just the six of us. We can't be too careful."
Fluttershy looked sad, as if she felt that she is no help to the team by knowing that she can't help everyone.
Twilight noticed this and put her hoof on Fluttershy's shoulder, smiling and saying, "Aw, no need to be sad Fluttershy, you can still help some of us. But some of us can handle ourselves you know."
"Well... I... I guess so..." Fluttershy muttered silently, looking down on the ground, refusing to look up.
"I'm back!" Rarity called as she walked into the shed. "The radar room is heavily guarded. I saw two sentries in there. An engineer for each one. Pinkie is going to need to take them out as I use my sappers on them. Also, there is a sniper on the metal bridge to the final point. I hope you can do something about him there Twilight."
"No worries!" Twilight nodded her head and loaded up her sniper rifle. "Anything else we need to know about?"
"There is a giant hiding behind the pile of rocks on the other side of the radar. He seems to be ready to ambush someone. I'll take him out. right before I sap the sentries. Or alternatively, Pinkie and I can both go after the sentries first and Twilight can take the heavy on by herself. We'll also need Fluttershy to come with us because it's more guarded than the radio tower."
"That seems to work well enough." Twilight said. "What's at the radio tower?"
"Only one scout, drinking some weird soda." Rarity said. "But be careful, there may be a spy hiding there."
"Bah! Spy shy! I can outrun any bullet or knife. They'll be dizzy as I run around and around their heads! I can slay anyone before you can even say 'Sonic Rainboom!'"
"Alright, Applejack and Rainbow, you two go on right now. We'll go take on the radar. Once you are done Rainbow, stay at A until we either capture the Radar, or until we call for your help. Applejack, just stay at A until we get the radar. Make sure that no spy destroys your stuff."
"Eeyup!" Applejack responded.
"Leave it to me!" Rainbow shouted, grabbing her Scattergun and charging out the door. She stopped and looked back at her cowpony friend, saying, "Wait are you waiting for slowpoke? Waiting for an invitation?"
"Ah'm gettin' my equipment ready..." Applejack muttered, getting annoyed of Rainbow's arrogance as she put together her tools in her toolbox.
"Bah, I'm bored now! Let's go!" Rainbow Dash charged at the door labeled "A" and shouted out, "LET'S DO THIS!" leaving Applejack behind who was still getting her tool box ready.
"Rambo Dash"
Rainbow Dash stood at the edge of the tunnel that drops down onto the gravel terrain, hence the name of the place, "Gravel Pit." She was in the entrance to the specific area farthest away from the tunnel leading to the radar building. She looked past the shack that was about a dozen yards away from the entrance, and saw the radio tower on top of the hill. She even saw the metal disk built in on the ground with the BLU's emblem hovering over it. She then looked up onto the roof of the tower and noticed a young man in a blue T-shirt drinking soda. It was the BLU scout Rarity was talking about. Rainbow Dash squinted to look at what exactly he was drinking, but she couldn't read what it says on the label. She could only identify that it was a purple can of some sort of soda. The scout finished drinking the soda, burped, and threw the can right behind him, taking out another from his bag and popped it right open, drinking that one up as well.
Rainbow Dash grinned and saw this as a chance to sneak up on him. She jumped down and raced up the hill next to the fence marking the boundaries of the area. The scout on the tower seemed too busy enjoying his drink to notice the unusual event going on, which would be a flightless rainbow pegasus charging at him for a kill.
Once Rainbow reached the tower, she looked up and decided to get him from the back. She positioned herself so she could climb up the short tower and blast him in the back with a scattergun. Or maybe to see hilarity ensue, she'd startle him and maybe watch him land head first into the ground. Yeah, that'd work perfectly! Rainbow thought to herself, grabbing onto the roof of the tower and pulling herself up. There we go... now it's time to...
CLONK!
"OW!" Rainbow shouted as an empty soda can got throw onto her head. "THAT HURT YOU..."
"Wait.. WHAT?!" The scout started and turned around, seeing the angry pegasus glaring at him. "WAAAAAA!" The scout screamed and took out his shotgun and blasted the unsuspecting pegasus.
"AAGGHHH!!" Rainbow screamed as she fell off the roof of the tower and landed hard on the ground with a thump. Now the joke is on her instead of the scout she was trying to startle. "I'm going to get you for that!" She hollered up before standing up again. She might actually have to fight for the point instead.
"How... how... a... a pony... rainbow... what who? HOW AREN'T YOU DEAD?!" The scout yelled at her in disbelief.
Rainbow then realized this too. She looked down at her chest where the gun should've shot her. Nothing. It's like as if the round that was shot at her was a blank. But something was telling her that it wasn't a blank. It was a live round. She didn't understand why the shot didn't hurt her.
"HELP! HELP! It's worse than I imagined!" The scout jumped off the tower and ran for a tunnel marked with "C"
"Well... that was easier than expected..." Rainbow Dash muttered. She then walked onto the metal circle to capture the point. But unfortunately for her... the metal ring wouldn't respond to her. It remained in possession of BLU. "What gives?" Rainbow muttered. "Why won't it respond?"
"Beats me..." Applejack finally arrived and started building a RED sentry up in the back of the radio tower. "Ah reckon someone from RED need ta be cappin' it instead of us?"
"Bah... shut it AJ..." Rainbow Dash sat down on the point and pouted. "All this for nothing..."
"Ya barely even moved a muscle! All ya did was scare that kid outa' givin' the point to ya."
"Hey! I climbed without being able to use my wings!" Rainbow argued.
"Hey now, no need ta be puttin' up a fight!"
"Whatever... just build me a dispenser will you?"
"Alright, sugarcube, sheesh..." Applejack muttered and started setting up a dispenser right up against the fence.
"Pinkie Pyro"
Two ponies stood on the middle tower at the front of the fort on the BLU base. They looked up into the starry night sky, relaxing at the beauty of the sight. One of the ponies was wearing a pink fire suit with a black gas mask on. She wore black boots with a yellow trim on each one. Her pink mane and tail showed out of her mask and suit. Nothing else of her was shown. She then stood on two legs and grabbed the flamethrower that was on her back and got it ready to blast flames all of the place.
The other pony was white and wore a black mask. She had a curly, purple mane and tail. She had a white horn on her forehead and a black mask that only showed her eyes and mouth, aside from the horn and mane that stuck out. She too, stood on her hind legs and got ready a knife and a revolver. Smoke seemed to emit around her as a new mask appeared in front of the one she was originally wearing, showing a face of a person wearing a gas mask.
The two ponies looked at each other before the gas masked one spoke in a muffled voice, which the other pony seemed to understand very easily. "It's time... and we are going in HARD!"
The white pony with the revolver replied, "You can't be serious can you Pinkie? They obviously have their intel well guarded."
"I'm serious." The fire suit pony replied. "After you searching their base, Rarity, it's obvious how we can deal this." She held the flame thrower above her and yelled, "PINKIE PIE STYLE!"
"Alright then.... just give me a shout when you are in trouble. You know the signal right?"
"How can I not remember, silly? You know my memory happens to be one of the best on our team don't you Rarity?" Pinkie said while laughing a bit. "Wait... why were we getting the intel again?"
Rarity sighed and facehoofed and sighed, saying, "To find out how we got here in the first place. This isn't our world. Plus, RED spy told us we might find the information we need in the BLU intel. Anyways... be careful in there would you? I really don't like making big messes you know. Times like these are rough. I know I may have gotten a bit used to getting a little blood on me, but not a lot. Okay?" With that, her horn flashed a light blue light and she vanished.
Pinkie Pie smiled under her gas mask and looked down onto the battlements where snipers are usually out sniping enemies that try to approach their fort. But they weren't out at this time of night. Pinkie jumped down from the tower and landed right onto the battlements walkway and scanned the environment around her. No enemies in sight... yet...
"Let's do this...." Pinkie Pie muttered under her gas mask. She faced the nearest entrance into the BLU fort and charged straight into it.
Right in front of the main spawn room of the BLU base, were 6 sets of bunkbeds with about a third of the beds occupied with an engineer, a sniper, a scout, and a demoman sleeping in them. Pinkie Pie creeped in quietly and stood on what wouold have been her tiptoes if she had any to try and reduce the squeaking of the wooden floors. But luckily for her, the snoring of the four mercenaries were too loud for the squeaking noise to make much of an alarm.
Pinkie Pie then heard the scout muttering in his sleep, "Go Red socks.... you suck Yankees.... snoor.. "
Must be a fan of baseball. Pinkie Pie thought. She grabbed her flamethrower and then blasted away at the sleeping mercenaries.
The mercenaries awoke with a startle as soon as they were ignited, screaming all they can and started running around the room in a panicked manner, as if they thought that running would extinguish the flames. "AGHH!!!! FFIIIRRREEE!!!! FIIRREEE!!!" But it was too late for the four mercenaries. With their now burnt, crisp corpses, they fell to the floor to continue their sleep. But this time, it was an endless nightmare that they would never wake up from.
"Next time, learn to lock your doors, or someone, meaning me, will come in and party the night away with fire!" Pinkie Pie laughed under her gas mask after watching them become barbequed. She scanned the room to see if it was the right path, but it was a dead end. She was about to head back to the battlements, then she felt something warm behind her. She turned around and saw her tail was on fire. She gasped out loud and immediately whacked her tail against a wall, putting it out. She gave a sigh of relief after putting out the fire on her tail and then left for the battlements, to head the other way.
