Morning light filtered through Lyra's little window as songbirds chirped outside. The blue and white maned pony yawned, opening her eyes before casting her eyes across the stuffy room and immediately noticing that Bon Bon's bed was empty and the covers were nowhere to be found. "She wouldn't be out this early...." She mumbled to herself as her eyes adjusted to the sudden light; moving boxes came into sight. 'What in the name of Celestia is going on here?' Lyra thought angrily, looking around after she got out of her bed. "Well Bon Bon, it appears I must look for you..." she mumbled, teeth gritted as she opened the door to her house and exited. Lyra's sharp eyes took in her surroundings, searching for the curly haired pony that was seemingly lost. An urge pulled at Lyra to go to Sugarcube Corner and in no time, her hooves were already trotting the direction of the shop. A jingling sounded as the door opened to the sweets shop and Lyra tumbled in, eyes resting on 3 ponies; Bon Bon, Octavia, and Vinyl Scratch. Silence passed through the four ponies like a large wall when suddenly Lyra began to harshly say," Bon Bon! Why were you-" She was cut off abruptly by Bon Bon placing her hoof on Lyra's mouth. "Lyra, calm down! We need to tell you something!" Vinyl growled, her eyes covered by her usual portal glasses. A look of utter annoyance had suddenly been painted on Lyra's face as the three ponies exchanged nervous glances, though Octavia's glance looked especially sad as she looked into Vinyl's eyes. Bon Bon stepped forward, her head bowed as she said guiltily, "Lyra, I'm moving to Manehattan." The harp pony gasped shortly as her mouth gaped, eyes wide. "But why? We have so many memories and you're just going to throw them away?" She fumed, face turning red with anger. Vinyl looked as flustered as ever, taking a sidelong glance at Octavia as the gloomy feeling filled the air. Suddenly Lyra piped up again, forgetting her previous question. "Who are you moving with?" Bon Bon looked completely unprepared, glancing at Vinyl for a second before turning her head back to Lyra. Vinyl reached a hoof up to her portal glasses and took them off, revealing her magenta eyes as she replied nervously, avoiding everyone's gaze. "Me..." Lyra turned her head to Vinyl, tears forming in her eyes as Octavia took a hateful glance at Bon Bon, a surprise for the usually formal gray pony. "You're hooking up with Vinyl, and breaking up with me? You... You jerk!" Lyra raised her voice, lip curled as Bon Bon hurried to hide behind Vinyl and Octavia scrambled to hide behind the counter of the shop the quarreling pony's were currently in. "Well, who cares? Just get your freaking boxes and leave!" Lyra yelled before stomping away with tears rolling down her fuming face. "Wait! Lyra!" Bon Bon called out to her ex-friend, hooves swiping at the ground in effort to run but feebly held back by the other pony's in the room. Lyra quickly hoofed through her large doorway, immediately getting to her new task of getting every belonging of Bon Bon's and lifting them up easily with her magic. But something caught the pony's eyes as she was carrying out one box. Something shiny was peeking out of it as Lyra was halfway out of her small cottage. Being a nosy pony, Lyra opened the cardboard flaps that secured the box and pulled out a blue picture frame with her snout. On the picture was Lyra and Bon Bon hugging, but a coal black line was drawn between them. The pony scrunched up her snout in pure rage and she quickly flung it on the ground where sharp glass shards started flying in every direction. Lyra quickly looked back and forth before quickly closing the box flaps as if nothing had happened. She quickly pushed the box outside and glowered down at the moving boxes sitting outside her cottage, everything was out and the horrid pony that she had taken under her roof would be gone. 'Good' She thought successfully, a grin stretching on her face. Lyra stomped triumphantly back into her house, only taking one more glance at the shattered picture frame. The next morning, Lyra had sat up in her bed quickly by the sound of heavy knocking on her splintered wooden door. She got up and flattened her ruffled mane before she hoofed down her creaky stairs on her way to the front door The green pony creaked open the wooden door to find Bon Bon, Vinyl Scratch, and Octavia standing in her doorway, all looking hurt in their own way. Bon Bon opened her mouth as if going to say something but Lyra quickly cut her off. "Go away." Lyra cast her squinted eyes on all the ponies, first Bon Bon, then Octavia, and then Vinyl, who wasn't wearing her glasses. They all looked like a stampede of buffalo had destroyed their homes as they stared at the pony in the house. "But-" Vinyl had started to speak through gritted teeth but Lyra spoke over her once again. "I said, go away!" The trio's eyes widened at the sheer volume of Lyra's voice. Vinyl and Bon Bon gave each other a look before pushing Octavia into the cottage, her hooves scraping at the dirt in an attempt to stop her so-called friends' shoves. "You can't just leave her here!" Lyra called to the fleeing ponies. "TOO BAD!" Vinyl shouted over her shoulder. Lyra pursed her lip, her head swimming as she slammed the door closed. She glanced at Octavia for a brief second before growling, "You're sleeping on the couch." The music pony nodded, her eyes wide as silence passed throughout them for a heartbeat. Lyra passed Octavia and stomped up her stairs to lay back down. But, when the blue pony was at the top of her stairway, she had stopped walking and had started to stare at a joyful picture of her and Bon Bon in a Ferris Wheel. Lyra grunted and hoofed into her bathroom. She fumbled around in her cupboard before pulling out a sharpie and returning to the picture. A tear formed in her eye as the mourning pony pushed down on the picture with her sharpie and started to draw a line between the two ex-friends.
