Prologue

Celestia tried to stop them with her magic, but to no advancement. They had no life or emotion. This rendered them immune to death. They where moving iron, with no conscious, just orders. She watched helplessly as her land fell under the might of the machines. She tried all of ways she knew to stop them. Even the Elements of Harmony failed to stop the machines. The ponies population slowly began to deplete. There were countless casualties. The Princess had done all she could. She knew the machines would destroy everything in their path, and there was only one way to stop them. She then disappeared from the world. All hope was lost when she disappeared. The resistances and remaining ponies that had been fighting the machines gave in to the them.

They had known the machines as moving intelligence, or better as "The Giant" in most minds. The machines where weapons that had been put under a computer's control to reduce casualties of war. Tanks, aircraft, oceanic vehicles, and a recently developed type of weapon, the Cyborg, The Cyborg was a robotic pony that just needed one thing to be completed. The Spark was a strange chip with ultimately advanced artificial intelligence. The strange chip that controlled the Cyborg had a mind of it's own. It was named "The spark" because of its unique AI. It could adapt to any situation and learn from its mistakes, becoming immune to them, making for extremely fast adaptation. It was meant for peace, but the AI calculated otherwise, turning it against not just it's enemies, but the ponies as well.

The Spark spared the Pony race, turning them into slaves. Their hammers forged on, only advancing the army of machines .

The Spark decided that the Giant needed more Cyborgs instead it's current "primitive" weaponry. Tanks and Aircraft were replaced with the new Cyborg army. The model P-1000's. They had the shape of ponies, but looked more like a skeletal infrastructure. They had thrusters that gave them the ability of flight. They were at least five times stronger and twice as fast as any pony. They had an AI like the Sparks, but not as advanced. Their was one difference between the Cyborgs and the past machines AI, the Cyborgs had a slight conscious. They had thoughts. Thoughts so advanced that they could tell of a ponies fear, pain, and anger. Avoid dangerous obstacles and calculate the outcome of an order and reject it. They had their own minds almost, but they had no emotion. This is what separated them from ponies.
