Chapter 1

Thunder Strikes:

In the quaint land of Equestria, the small town, known as Ponyville, was home to one of the greatest minds of the current generation; Twilight Sparkle. She lived in a hollowed out tree, that served as a library. Being a librarian was not a fast paced job, so to pass the time, Twilight attempted to create new spells. She was currently trying to change her wooden desk, into a more crystalline form. Her assistant, Spike, was waiting behind her, eager to see if she would succeed.

Twilight focused her magic on the desk before her, the purple aura slowly wrapped itself around the piece of furniture. She concentrated fiercely, and slowly the desk began to change its form; A wave of thunder cascaded upon Ponyville, the sound distracted Twilight, and she almost turned Spike into a crystal statue. Luckily, she only hit the bookshelf behind him.

Almost immediately afterwards, Rainbow Dash slammed into Twilight's front door, causing it to break free from its hinges, and come crashing (Along with Rainbow Dash) into the library’s lobby. Rainbow Dash looked around sheepishly, before turning to Twilight,

“Hey Twi, what’s going on?”

Twilight deadpanned, “I could ask you the same thing Rainbow, the weather's gone crazy!”

Rainbow Dash stayed silent for a moment, before answering, “I don’t know Twi, the entire sky’s gone haywire, even I can’t move the clouds...”

Twilight looked at her friend in disbelief, before continuing, “Well, whatever brought this on, I bet it’s not good..”

Twilight Stepped outside, the thunderstorm was ‘raining’ terror on the small town, the streets were beginning to flood, and many Pegasi were hard at work, trying to clear the sky. Twilight directed her attention towards Sweet Apple Acres, ‘If anypony knows what's going on, Applejack will’ she thought.

Twilight turned back towards Spike, “We’re leaving” she said.

“What? Why?” Spike asked.

Twilight gave him a small smile, “Applejack probably knows what’s going on, so I’m thinking that we should see what she’s doing”

Rainbow Dash turned to look at Spike, “I think that’s a pretty good idea”

Spike nodded his head, and stretched, “Sure thing, lets go”

Walking throughout the streets of Ponyville, the group of friends noticed a couple of strange things. The storm consisted of thunder and rain, but had no lightning. They carried on walking, as they approached Sugarcube Corner, a hole in the cloudcover appeared and a few rays of light fell upon the unsuspecting trio. A dark silhouette flew in front of the breach, her wings flapping graciously. She glided down towards the small group of friends. As she landed, she became slightly more visible, Her black mane flowed like silk; her light blue highlights,  glistened along with her eyes. The mare’s navy blue coat contrasted well with the darkness of the storm.

“I really don’t like this Twilight” Spike whispered, he kicked the earth beneath him nervously.

“Me neither!”Rainbow Dash bellowed. She rushed forwards to assault the stranger. The mysterious mare simply rolled away from her, causing Rainbow Dash to stop. The stranger advanced, her eyes shining in the faint light.

The mare approached Rainbow Dash, her posture suggesting self pride, “Who dares attempt to challenge me? For I am Thunderstorm! Master of all things untamed!”

Rainbow Dash pointed at herself, “I, am Rainbow Danger Dash, I clean the skies in ten seconds flat, and I wash myself with rainbows, cause I’m cool like that”

Thunderstorm let out a shallow chuckle, “Oh how tragic! I guess that’s me defeated already, by a bookworm, a midget and a pansy who likes rainbows!” Thunderstorm burst out full on laughing.

Thunder leapt into the sky, laughing insanely as she flew away; With each beat of her wings, the rain poured harder.

The group of friends, now accompanied by Pinkie Pie, and Rarity, (Who had been hiding inside Sugarcube Corner) rushed towards Sweet Apple Acres, they worried for Applejack, as she was surely having trouble with the farm

On their way, they passed a very distressed Fluttershy, who appeared to be tightly holding a small bee. Upon further inspection, the bee turned out to be a simple wooden carving. Fluttershy brightened her mood at the sight of her friends, and decided to accompany them on their journey to Applejack’s.

As the group approached the front gates of Sweet Apple Acres, they saw a dreadful sight... The entire farm was flooded, and all of the families produce had been swept away with the rainwaters.

Twilight soon found the Apple family, they had taken shelter on one of the numerous hills surrounding their farmland.

“What happened?” Twilight asked, her eyes attempting to take in the scene before her.

“It’s gone, It’s all darn gone!” Applejack pouted, she gingerly raised a hoof, and pointed at her orchards, “All that gosh darn work, for nothing.”

“It can be fixed, right?” Spike asked; Concerned for his friends well being.

“Eeyup.” Big macintosh replied from behind Applejack.

“After work and effort.” Applebloom chipped in, trying to add to the conversation. Granny smith mumbled something about children being heard, and not seen.

“Eeyup.” Big macintosh repeated.

“It’ll take forever.” Applejack cried, burying her face into Big Macintosh.

“Eynope.” Big macintosh said, trying to comfort his sister.

Rainbow Dash turned, her face riddled with doubt; And whispered to Twilight

“Twi, we gotta stop Thunderstorm, that mares gonna get us drowned at this rate!.”

“Eeyup.” Big macintosh intruded, receiving glares from the two friends.

“Who the hell is Thunderstorm?” Applejack asked,her depressed mood suddenly turning more threatening, “Is she the one responsible for all this?” She added raising a hoof and pointing towards the mess that was Sweet Apple Acres.
