Chapter 1: Entering New Lands

           “HEY KID! WATCH OUT FOR THAT CA-” the stranger’s voice trailed off as a car hit Tom dead in the chest. Time seemed to slow down as he felt his chest crack and organs compress. He flew across the street only to be greeted by another car’s windshield. Then everything went white. What did I do that was so wrong? Tom thought to himself, so I “J walked” while texting my mom that I would be home in a few minutes, big deal, but having to get hit by two cars, really? His vision started to blur and then the pain started to fade away, like when you wake up from a nightmare.

          “Hello there,” A booming voice above, below, and around him spoke, “Should’ve used that cross-walk down the street shouldn’t we?” Well now it’s legitimate. I died. “Yes sir.” Tom sighed, “Lucky for you, young man, I feel sympathetic today.” The mysterious voice bellowed, what could he mean by that? “Well I’ll tell you.” Wait, did he just read my- “Mind? Yes, I did. You see being grate and powerful and all, I can do that sort of thing.

          “Now about what I was saying earlier, I’m going to give you a choice, you can either continue to live your life the way it was, a complete reset, or I can put you in a world of your choosing.” Tom thought about this for about a minute. I had a very good life. 3 meals a day, 4.0 education, but it all lacked of a realness to him. He always felt that it was just a dream. He would do his tasks for the day like a robot, do what he was supposed to, and as a reward he would get the good life he had. The only time Tom actually felt alive was when he was either online talking about ponies, or watching them. I wonder if I could go to Eques- “Consider it done. Just close your eyes, and when you open them, you will be in the world of Equestria.”

           Tom opened his eyes and was greeted by more colors than he wanted, (mainly because he was used to darkness of his room and a bright monitor). Everything seemed to be in two dimensions, but stay in three at the same time. The entire world from the trees to the grass below him lacked detail; instead it was pastel and colorful. A breath of fresh air from the world he came from.

          Tom got up and stumbled because he had two extra legs than he was used to. He got up to about a foot lower than his usual height of 5’ 10”. He looked at his new body; he had grayish colored fur that changed to a black in a gradient. It was almost as if his original colors faded away on the top half, while the lower half remained. He looked at his flank, seeing if he could find a hint about his special talent. Instead, he was greeted by long wings, not like Rainbow Dash’s, but longer and thicker, like the one Celestia had.

          Celestia! Tom reached up to find a horn to go along with his alicorn wings. “FUCK YEAH! I’M A MOTHER FUCKING ALICORN!” Tom shouted this with more zeal than he intended. Well fuck me silly, the royal Canterlot voice…

          Tom was wondering what he looked like as a whole, and walked around the forest trying to find something to look at his reflection with. He came across a small pond, not much larger than bedroom. He walked forward casually and was shocked by what he saw. He had a golden eye color that would make jewelers back on Earth cry. His wings stretched about a foot over his head. His gaze shifted up to his horn which was a few inches shorter than his extended wings. His legs looked powerful and long; and on his hooves he had sharpened gold shoes.

          His gaze was then caught by his overly ostentatious mane. It was fire that flowed with the breeze. He leaned in to get a better look, and started to boil the pond water. “HOLY FUCK I LOOK AWESOME!” Birds feel away this time due to his clamorous words. Shit! I really need to get control over that voice. Then his mane started to shimmer, like water that had just been displaced; in the fires place came a beautiful blue mane that looked exactly like water. In turn Tom’s eyes changed into a teal. “The fuck?” Tom was confused by his body’s sudden transformation. Well that could come in handy… He didn’t need to focus that hard to change his body back into his original form.

          I wonder…. Tom started to transform again, except this time as someone, or somepony, he knew well. His entire being started to shimmer as he blurred into the pegasus. He looked over his blue body and unfurled his feathered wings to get a glimpse at the cloud and rainbow lightning bolt on his flank. Tom took a glimpse at the now smaller pond to see an accurate counterfeit version of Rainbow Dash. “Well that was easy!” He put his hooves to his mouth only to be greeted by the pond water as he fell over from unbalance. I sound exactly like her…

          Tom shape shifted back into his fiery self. He was a little tired after changing his appearance so many times. He sat down against a nearby tree, and had the dilemma of trying to find a name for himself. “Well Tom won’t work, that’s for sure” he paused, “maybe I could take a simple word and change its language… well let’s see, I can change my form, I wonder…” He looked at a tree opposite of his position and focused on hot feelings. He felt himself interacting with the magic field of Equestria. He opened his eyes to see the tree engulfed in flames. “AW YEAH!” He then realized what he had just done. Cold thoughts cold thoughts! Nothing.  He wanted the tree to just disappear; than the tree vanished.  Well that was scarier than I thought it had to be.

         Tom was still thinking about his name dilemma.  “Well I already learned Latin in school. I can control the elements around me, but that in Latin is elementa, not to flashy.” Tom was at an impasse, “Well I can control things, what’s a different word for control… I KNOW! How about manipulate? That’s vorso in Latin.” Vorso it was. Tom liked his new name. Vorso huh? Catchy, probably the only time Latin will come in handy for me though…

          It was about ten o’clock and Tom wanted to be in shelter come nighttime. Now how the fuck am I going to manage that? Tom wanted to find his way to Ponyville, and the only way to do that was to get a bird’s eye view from above. Tom stretched out his long wings and started to flap them, he shot up into the sky. Tom kept climbing in altitude until he could see on the horizon the town called Ponyville.  He started to fly towards it, first slowly, than faster and faster. He liked the feeling of his mane in the wind.

          Tom saw a small cloud in the distance, and blue spec on it. He decided to investigate. Tom flew closer to the blue dot and realized the blue spec was the pony he transformed into not an hour ago. Tom felt like he should meet one of the mane six before sundown, and so he made a little plan.

         Tom flew over the napping Rainbow Dash to seem causal, as she woke up, he flew back to where she was napping, “Hey, don’t you know better than to wake a napping pony?” She froze as she saw the intimidating alicorn in front of her, “I mean.. uh” She tried to keep her cool, but not seeing any other alicorn besides the Princesses she was startled. “The name is Vorso.” Tom replied with a smirk, “Oh uh, nice to..uh.. meet you, now if you would excuse me I have to get back to my na-” Tom cut off Rainbow Dash, “Wait a second, aren’t you the pony who made a sonic rainboom?” Tom said, “Oh! You recognize me huh? Yeah that was pretty cool. I’m working on cooler stuff though, that was too easy.” Rainbow Dash said casually. Tom smiled,  I wonder if I can do it… “I’ve never tried doing any tricks, but I think I can do it my first try…” Rainbow Dash looked back up, “What a sonic rainboom? HA! I’d like to see you try!”  Well it’s now or never… “Alright, just give me a second” Tom said as he flapped his wings faster and faster.

          Vorso flew high into the sky and started to gather his thoughts. Well you set a tree on fire without trying to hard, how bad can this be. Rainbow Dash had a dull look on her face, knowing that nopony could ever top her masterpiece. Then Vorso sped down with incredible speed. He flapped his wings downward, accelerating at extreme speeds. He felt the air start to bend around him as he sped up faster and faster. HA! Easy as pie! Then he broke the sound barrier. To his surprise he looked back to see a trail of flames that led up to a burst of bright red fire in a tremendous ring. Vorso pulled back, now going faster than he intended, and slow down to a stop before hitting the ground. He then flew back up to the jaw dropped Pegasus. She was speechless, Vorso smiled at her cockily, “Huh, easier than I thought” Rainbow shock her head to clear her thoughts, “wait, how did you yo- wha- huh?” She said, confused as ever. I got her attention now. “Impressed?” She took back her cool, “What? No, I can do a Sonic Rainboom in my sleep!”

          Tom put on his cool face as well, “Well it was nice meeting you Rainbow Dash, but I have things to do, peo- I mean, ponies to see, you know? Busy life.” Rainbow was still shocked by the events that just took place. “Yeah I know what you mean. Say Vorso, you’re new in town right? Cause if you need a place to crash you can come to my house.” I do need a place to crash, but I still want to see more! I know I can’t stay with Applejack, I hate farms, and I don’t know if Pinkie even lives at Sugar Cube Corner, I would probably combust Rarity’s entire shop if I went in due to all the hairspray. And Fluttershy would probably die if she saw me in this form. It’s either Twilight’s house, or Rainbow’s. “Tell you what; if I can’t find a place to crash I’ll come by your house. Say, where is it?” Rainbow blushed, something out of character from her usual self, “It’s just over there.” She pointed a hoof towards some mountains, where you could see a floating spec much like a cloud in the distance. “Come by anytime!” she said giggling, which was not her go to emotion, “Alright, just don’t get your hopes up okay?” Tom winked at the blushing pony, God that was fucking cheesy. Rainbow’s voice squealed as she tried to choke out “Okay!”

          Vorso said his goodbyes to the pegasus and went on his way. He landed down near the edge of Ponyville and started to walk through town. All of the ponies stared at him in shock and awe.  Tom liked the sudden attention from everyone. He realized how much larger he was compared to the other ponies though. Most of the ponies, being about the same size, came up to his chest. The fillies on the other hand- uh hoof, came up to the middle of his legs.  Man it’s good to be me.

          Vorso had just arrived at the library and knocked on the door three times. He could he muffled talking, “Spike, could you get that?” a female’s voice spoke. To which the dragon replied, “Yes you majesty!” The door promptly opened to the sight of a baby dragon in awe at the sight of the incredible alicorn. He spoke to Twilight while still looking Tom over, “Hey Twi! You’ll wanna’ come see this!” The aggravated unicorn appeared, “Alright Spike, what was so important you had to stop me from my stud-” The lavender pony walked up to the door before she cut herself off, “Oh my! A-an ali-alicorn?” Twilight was extremely confused by seeing an alicorn besides her beloved princesses.

          “I see that you are shocked to see another alicorn besides the princess. Well, that’s a fair reaction.” Tom said smiling. Twilight was still shocked to see the powerful being in front of her, but still managed to speak, “Y-your mane!” Tom was amused by how much of a reaction he was getting out of the unicorn, “Oh, is that silly old thing bothering you? Here let me fix that.” Tom changed his burning mane into a red and black mane, which still flowed like his old one. “You can change you appearance too?!?” Might as well have some fun, “Well you see Twilight, I am pretty awesome, and I have been studding magic for one whole day.” Mid sentence Tom transformed into Twilight herself. “How do I look?” Tom said striking a pose. “Now would you be so kind as to let me in so we discuss some things?” Tom shifted back into his non-flammable self.

          Twilight let Tom in and told spike to make them both tea. She was the first to break the silence, “Who ARE you?” Tom sat silent for a moment, “My name is Vorso, and I can’t say much else until after I talk to the Princess, I need to discuss it with her first about what I tell peop- errr, I mean ponies.” Twilight laughed “You think you can just walk in and talk to the princess?” Tom laughed in return, “Yes, that’s my plan, and I believe that she is already waiting for me.” Tom said laughing, “Well I’ll just have to send her letter about this!” Twilight said, making Tom turn serious suddenly, “I wouldn’t do that if I were you. I don’t want her to be informed about my arrival until I arrive. I wouldn’t want to use my Jedi mind tricks on you!” Twilight was confused by this remark, “What’s a Jedi?” Tom laughed to himself, HA! They make a Star Wars reverence and they don’t even know what they are referencing! Tom spoke “It’s nothing, forget what I said”

         Twilight was getting down to business, “Well than what do you need from me?” Better just come out with it, “You see Twilight, I can’t disclose much, but I am not from around her, and I need a place to stay before I can get adjusted. And I was wondering if you would be so kind as to put me up for the night.” Twilight laughed, “Well I’m sorry to tell you this, but we have no spare rooms at the moment. If we did, I wouldn’t mind making a new friend, and giving you a room. I’m very sorry Vorso.” Well at least she was nice… “Alright, that’s fair enough, but Twilight, could you point me in the way of Canterlot? It’s been a while sense I’ve been.”

         Vorso left Twilights house after being given detailed directions to Canterlot. It was a fairly simple flight that he knew that he could manage. He was off to go to Rainbow’s house, only to be greeted by a bouncing pink pony.

           “OHMYGOD! ANEWPONYINTOWNASTRANGEONEATTHAT! BUTANEWPONY!!!” She talked a mile a minute.  Vorso talked in his calm voice as he addressed her,         “ICAN’TBELIEVEITANOTHERPONYFORMETOMEETANDPLAYWITH!” He mimicked her voice almost perfectly, “I DIDN’T KNOW THAT YOU COULD SPEAK AS ME! THAT’S SO COOL!” Pinkie Pie said. Vorso spoke in his regular voice, “Well my name is Vorso, it’s a pleasure to meet you.” The bouncing Pink pony was not ready to calm down however, “WELL IT’S AWESOME TO MEET YOU TO VORSY! I JUST CAN’T WAIT FOR US TO BECOME THE BESTEST OF FRIENDS EVER! MY NAME IS PINKIE PIE! WE NEED TO THROW YOU A PARTY VORSY!” Vorso smiled proudly, “I would be very happy to be thrown a party Pinkie, but don’t you think we should wait ‘till morning?” The pink pony looked sad for a second than turned back into her happy self, “Okay dokie lokie!” Than the she hoped on her marry way. It’s getting late, looks like I’m headed to Rainbow’s house…

         Vorso spread his wings and soared up into the sky and flew to Rainbows house. He arrived just as the sun went below the horizon and knocked on her door. She opened the door with a joyful look on her face, “Vorso! You came!” He smiled back, “I always keep my word Dash.” Rainbow dash let Vorso into her cloud mansion.

          Vorso looked around the detailed mansion; he walked around and realized his mane turned back into the blistering self.  Tom looked at Rainbow dashed “I haven’t shown you my magic yet have I?” Rainbow smiled at him, “So you can fly and do magic? That’s so awesome! No, you’ve never shown me.” Vorso smiled as her turned into the blue mare. She gasped and smiled as he did this, “WOW! Looks like you got cooler huh?” Vorso smiled and shifted back into his old form, but kept his coat the cyan blue. He also made a spiked black and white mane.

          Rainbow’s smile widened, “YOU ARE SO AWESOME!” Vorso blushed, “aw c’mon, I’m just your typical alicorn, and besides, you are WAY cooler than me, just look at this house!” She blushed under the praise, “would you like a tour of the place?” Rainbow asked. Vorso said with plenty of enthusiasm, “Sure! That would be awesome.”

          Rainbow showed Vorso around her house, “You know, I made this house myself. I gathered the clouds and shaped them to make it as awesome as possible.” Rainbow Dash said smiling cockily. “Well it shows. This house is amazing! How long did it take you to make it?” Vorso said. “Just a few days really, it wasn’t all that hard.” Rainbow said.

          Rainbow dash smiled and led Vorso into his room for the time being. He looked around his room; it had some free weights and a bed. Vorso smiled at Rainbow dash, “Thank you Rainbow, this really means a lot.” She blushed, “Oh stop it! Don’t get all sentimental on me!” She bumped her hip against his. Vorso smiled back at the mare then his stomach rumbled, Rainbow giggled, “Are you hungry?”

          Vorso didn’t realize that he haven’t ate since he arrived in the new world, “Yeah, I guess a little.” Rainbow smiled back at Vorso, “Well just settle in and I’ll bring you something to eat.”

          Vorso did what his host told him too and laid down on his bed. He didn’t know what he was supposed to eat in this new body, and the thought of meat made him sick. He sat down on his bed and realized how comfortable it was. “Damn this is comfy!” Vorso’s eyes started to get heavier and heavier as he started to fall asleep.

          Rainbow Dash walked into the kitchen to make something for her new house guest to eat. She whispered to herself, “How did I manage to stumble across this one?” she got out a plate, “I mean an alicorn? How lucky of a mare could I be?” She blushed, “and I bet he’s really powerful.” She giggled. Rainbow Dash finished the sandwich she was making and walked back into the guest room, and saw Vorso napping.

           “Tired after a long days work huh?” She put the sandwich on the nightstand by his bed, “I guess you tired yourself out with all that magic and flying.” She pulled the covers up over his napping body. She smiled, “Goodnight Vorso.”

          Vorso woke up late in the afternoon, he said tired, “Man, I must have fallen asleep.” He looked over onto the nightstand to see the sandwich Rainbow made for him, “I guess I am a little bit hungry.” He spoke his thoughts out loud, “how am I going to eat this?” I could try levitating it, “Yeah, that’ll work!”

          Vorso’s horn lit up and the sandwich levitated into the air, he finished it in a matter of seconds, “Man that was good! I guess the fanfics about her being a bad cook were wrong all along.” He got up off of his bed and walked up into the hallway. Rainbow Dash poked her head out of her room, “looks like somepony’s awake.” Rainbow Dash said. Vorso smiled, “Yeah, I guess I was really tired.” He rubbed his head with his hoof. Rainbow Dash smiled, “hey, I’m going to cloudsdale if you wanna tag along, I got tickets to see the Wonderbolts and I bet I could get an extra ticket.” Rainbow Dash said.

           Vorso smiled, “I don’t want to be a bother, and I already have to go to Canterlot to have an audience with the Princess.” Rainbow Dash frowned, “oh, okay, too bad. Well I’m leaving right now.” Rainbow Dash said. Vorso frowned, “Sorry Dash, but this just can’t wait.” Vorso said. Rainbow smiled, “It’s okay, maybe some other time right?” Vorso smiled back, “It’s a date.” Rainbow dash said, “Well I’m going, make yourself at home.” Then she left.
