The Assassin and the Psychopath
"Now Binary, this is a very important mission, you can not screw this up for us" Binary's boss looked very sternly at Binary "Not since last time, you almost blew the entire organisation's cover" Binary smiled and replied with nonchalance in his voice "C'mon, no assignment can be THAT important" He stopped being nonchalant "and that one time wasn't my fault, it was blatantly, uhh, Jerry!" He pointed to a beige coloured pony who was talking to a potted plant. Binary's boss looked sternly back to Binary "I'm serious Binary. Don't. Mess. This. UP!" Binary looked at his boss "It's fine Skyhawk, I WON'T mess this up, not for all the money in the world" Skyhawk snorted, and then gave Binary a folder. Binary walked towards his room.
When he arrived at his room, the first thing he did was take a shower, he dried himself off, then ate an apple. He looked over at the folder, which he had placed on his desk, he opened it up. He scanned through it quickly, but then something caught his eye. He dropped the apple. "W..Wha...Not her..." A solitary tear ran down Binary's cheek, but he wiped it away quickly. He breathed in, then breathed out. He had to do this, he had promised Skyhawk. First thing tomorrow night, he'll do it.
Tomorrow night arrived faster than Binary expected, he hated when life caught up with him. Now he had to do what had to be done. He reached under his bed and pulled out a golden coloured knife. "C'mon Steve, this is important." It was a glass dagger, which he saved for special occasions, tonight was very special.
He made his way to the town square, hidden by the cloud night sky. He approached the fountain, at that moment the moon came out. He saw a pink figure on the other side of the fountain, the figure was being refracted through all the water, but he recognised the colour scheme. "Hello Pinkie" She replied "Hello Binary" Her tone still had that party pony spirit in it, but she spoke slowly. Binary knew he had to do this, he spread his wings and launched himself from the ground. His climbed several hundred feet then rocketed down towards the ground where Pinkie was. Pinkie looked up, she produced a cleaver from a bag she had strapped round her. She threw the cleaver with full force, Binary didn't have enough time to move, so he put his left arm out in front of him, the sound of metal hitting metal reverberated around the empty town square. He landed in front of Pinkie, cracking the ground as he landed, he unsheathed Steve, and lunged towards Pinkie, who had grabbed a butcher's knife from her bag. The weapons crashed in front of the ponies, the knife flew out of Pinkie's hand and several chips of glass fell off of Steve.
The fight continued for several minutes, after a while though, Steve could hold no longer. The dagger finally smashed, spraying glass fragments in all directions. Pinkie grabbed her last weapon, a large wooden club. She hit Binary right on his left arm with such force she left a dent in it. She hit it again, this time hitting a large chunk of metal off of it, revealing the electronics underneath. Then she hit him in the face, hard. Blood sprayed from Binary's mouth onto the floor, as his last ounce of consciousness fled.
He awoke in a dark room, he was strapped to a table. Pinkie stood in front of him, a maniacal grin smeared on her face. "Well, well well, look who's awake." She continued smiling "You really put up a fight didn't you, unfortunately, when I draw a number, I can't refuse the contract, not even for you, Binary" Binary stared at her coldly "So you kill your friends now Pinkie?" Pinkie smiled and replied cheerfully "Well of course I do! Isn't it obvious?" She pointed to a decimated corpse behind her, it appeared to be Rainbow Dash, however she was dead, and you could see the stitching of where her skin had been sown back onto her body. Binary put all his energy into his left arm, the strap snapped. Pinkie bolted over to him, slamming a cleaver down on his arm, doing nothing but damaging the cleaver. Binary's robotic arm (hopefully you've guessed that by now) swung round and hit the cleaver from Pinkie's hand. He unstrapped his other limbs while Pinkie scrambled for a weapon.
"I have to do this Pinkie, I... I can't fail Skyhawk again," Pinkie started the cry, she had managed to back herself into a corner with nothing but Binary around her. Binary stepped towards her slowly, holding a rusty knife in his right hoof. Just as he was about to lash out, an incredibly terrified Pinkie screamed out "WAIT! You don't have to listen to Skyhawk!" Binary's arm halted inches in front of Pinkie's face, who was hyperventilating. "You could help me, help me with my 'business'" Binary stared deeply into Pinkie's eyes "you know I can't do that Pinkie," Pinkie moved quickly, she kicked the knife out of Binary's hand and launched herself into the air to grab it. Binary reacted quickly and also jumped into air. They both collided in the air and came crashing down to the floor. Binary landed on his wings and Pinkie landed on top of him. They both stared deeply into each others eyes. What felt like hours passed with them staring into each other eyes. Pinkie's heart was beating incredibly fast. Binary's heart didn't beat, it was robotic just like arm.
Binary remembered how that had happened, When he came to this dimension, the teleportation had left his body broken, for he was only mortal. Pinkie had found him and rushed him to her basement, she didn't know what to do. Binary's arm was broken and he was screaming in agony. Pinkie put a stick in his mouth and proceed to saw his arm off, it's all she could do. She then grabbed a mechanical arm from underneath her desk, she was planning to build a killer robot, but this was a better thing to do. Through Binary's screaming she could tell if she was attaching it right, but nerves and wires connected, she managed to keep the arm on. She smiled triumphantly and hugged Binary. But she noticed something, she put her ear right next to his heart, it wasn't beating. Binary wasn't conscious for the rest of Pinkie's procedure, it was probably for the better seeing as the way Pinkie described it afterwards. It sounded like the definition of pain.
Binary was the first to remember what was actually happening. He broke their gaze, bringing both him and Pinkie back to reality. But Pinkie only proceeded to hug Binary, causing him to blush a lot, he wasn't really sure how his heart worked, but somehow it understood emotion. Binary's earpiece turned on, making Binary jump and making Pinkie jump. Skyhawk was on the other end "So have you done it yet? It's been four hours!" Binary was surprised, it had actually been several hours. Binary grabbed his earpiece and crushed it under his hoof. He smiled and hugged Pinkie. They shared each others presence for the rest of the night.
