The future brings many things; such is an undeniable fact of the worldly sphere in which we find ourselves. To us, it has brought technological advancement of an unimaginable caliber. The same fate was assigned to Equestria, but in a much more different form. Instead of pushing themselves into a new Golden Age, ponykind constructed enormous cities that swallowed the earth. Eventually, the tides of war washed over their feeble edifices. This story follows a soldier and his companion who happen to find themselves lost in the midst of a futuristic battle field.

I would also like to mention that the story is no longer being written. This fic was originally something that I started working on over the weekends to blow off some steam, but it eventually developed into something mildly coherent. I figure that one of you people out there might enjoy what I've written, but don't hold your breath or anything. I have no plans to update this fic, and I'm not currently writing any new material. If there's a demand for further chapters, I'll write them.
