Most of us know the Hearth's Warming Eve's tale, how the Earth Ponies, Pegasi, and Unicorns left their land to come to Equestria. But there were outcasts among them. The beautiful ponies that glimmered and glowed were seen as freaks. They were left in the land to starve.

They lived there for a long time, considering the other ponies had left, and because of the Windigos, the blizzard stopped.
