What Lies Within

Rarity is done hiding, and she knows it, because despite the many hours spent in front of her many mirrors, she cannot picture herself without one when she ends up alone at the edge of Everfree Lake. The warm night winds send ripples across the surface of the water, obscuring the mare's reflection as she sees herself more clearly than ever before. But will this clarity be apparent to her best friends?

This is my first story, and I haven't written anything other than restricting, prompt-based essays for school since elementary school, but I hope that I have created something in this short story that is worth reading.
