Chapters The sun shone through the curtains of Chase's room and washed over the eighteen year old's form, making his skin glow. Chase opened his eyes and sat up with a yawn, stretching. With a flick of his wrist and an emerald glow chase's curtains opened and the brilliant rays of the sun brightened up the large room that once belonged to Nightmare Moon. Since her defeat in the previous year, at the hands of him and the Elements, Chase took up residence in her castle. With a smile Chase crawled to the edge of the large 'queen' sized bed.
"Another glorious day," He said, standing up, "I wonder what i should do.."
At that moment a letter appeared before chase in a ball of green fire and landed in his outstretched hand. Chase looked it over and opened it, smiling upon seeing it was from Twilight. He read it over and it asked him if he would like to come to Ponyville for a picnic to which he just opened a portal to equestria, more specifically twilights house, and stepped through. When he stepped through he was met with a very startled unicorn.
"Gah Chase you scared me!" She said breathing heavily causing chase to laugh.
"Sorry Twilight but this is my answer to your letter." He said with a smile and holding up the letter
Twilight saw the letter she sent to him a minute ago and she scratched her head before opening the door and walking to it with Chase and Spike in tow. Chase smiled as he looked in the direction of the castle and grinned at the events of last week, more specifically at night. Who knew Luna was such a prankster and who knew Chase and Luna shared the same distaste for BlueBlood. But as he looked at the castle, Chase noticed something strange about the castle, a barrier surrounded it.
Why is there a magical barrier around the castle, Chase thought as they quickly approached the park, There wouldn't be one if canterlot wasn't in danger so why.... .
His thoughts were interrupted as he was tackled to the ground by Pinkie Pie in an embrace. He chuckled as Pinkie acted like she hasn't seen him in years and pushed her off him. He stood and brushed himself off.
"Hehe nice to see you again Pinkie." Chase said with a chuckle.
She giggled and all the girls sat down inviting Chase to join them. He pulled a sandwich from the picnic basket, brought by Rarity, and took a bite of it finding it to be delicious. Chase noticed that Rarity was wearing a sunhat and he just laughed.
"What's so funny Chase?" The white, fashionista unicorn asked with a smile.
"What's with the sun hat Rarity, worried that your gonna ruin your mane in this beautiful weather?" He said with a mocking cackle and he wiggled his fingers going ooooooooooo.
Rarity stuck her tongue at chase and they all laughed. Chase took another bite of his sandwich just as Spike burped up a letter from the princess. Chase never really understood, nor did he want too, how Spike could do that. Twilight looked over the letter just as a letter appeared before Chase. He opened it and saw it was an invitation to a wedding of some sort being hosted at Canterlot.
"Uh did anypony else get an invitation to a wedding between," he looks at the invitation closely, "Princess Miamore Cadenza and Shining Armor?" Chase asked.
Twilight's face pales and her eyes widen. "Did you say Shining Armor?"
"Uh.... Yeah i did." he said, looking at Twilight confused "why do you ask Twilight, is he somepony you know?"
All the remaning ponies, Chase, and spike look at twilight and she just sighs. She told them that Shining Armor is her older brother and the captain of the royal guard.
"Hmm, I think I may have met him one of the times I was at the castle," Chase said looking at the castle in the distance. "I do remember a unicorn stallion tackling me to the ground not knowing who I am." He grinned as he played that day in his head.
"Well he was and is my big brother best friend."
Oh god if she starts singing i'm gonna.. chase thought and sure enough Twilight started to sing, Oh for the love of....
As twilight sang he received another letter from Celestia that asked him to come to Canterlot immediately. He saw that the girls were caught up in the song so he snapped his fingers and appeared in the throne room of the castle in front of Celestia.
"You called oh princess of the sun?" he said bowing to Celestia.
"Why yes I have Chase," she said asking him to rise to which he did before she continued, "Canterlot is being threatened by an unknown outside force."
"So that's what the barrier's for." Chase said looking out one of the many windows of the throne room, "But why would anypony, besides discord or Nightmare Moon, threaten Canterlot? That's like trying to declare war on Equestria."
"I don't know but I will not let it come to that which is why I ask you to help with security for the wedding." Celestia said and looked at chase with her usual demeanor.
Hmm, this feels like a lot of work, chase thought crossing his arms and looking at the floor, Here I am being asked by one of the very rulers of Equestria to help with security for a royal wedding, as well as attend it, because some outside force is threatening Canterlot and everypony that lives in it.
"How can I refuse a chance to help the world of my friends," Chase said looking up at Celestia with a big grin, "You got yourself a security officer Celestia."
"Thank you Chase," She smiled and held up a hoof for chase who shook it happily, "But please don't mention the threat to Canterlot to Twilight or she'll be a nervous wreck."
Chase promised her not to mention anything to Twilight about the threat making her smile. With a bow he snapped his fingers again and appeared before the girls who all gasped at his sudden appearance.
"Gah, again Chase?" Twilight said hitting chase in the arm as he laughed.
"Where were you anyway?" Rainbow Dash asked, "You suddenly disappeared until now."
"Well I was summoned to Canterlot by Celestia and was asked to help with security for the wedding." He said with a grin.
"What?!" They all exclaimed and chase laughed hysterically.
"You heard me," He said, wiping a tear from his eye, "Due to the nature of the wedding, it being between a princess and the captain of the royal guard, Celestia has had to increase the security detail and because of my achievement thanks to you six she has asked me to help with the security."
He was bombarded with questions but shrugged them off as they decided to call it a day. Chase helped cleaned up the picnic and brought the basket to Rarity's boutique. He was about to head off but was stopped by Rarity.
"Chase i have a question for you." She said digging at the ground.
"Ask away Rarity." Chase said with a curious look.
"Would you let me make you a tuxedo for the wedding?" she asked her eyes pleading as they grew.
"Hmm well i don't have one of my own and i can't borrow one form anyone off hand," Chase said grinning, "Ah what the hell, go for it Rarity."
The fashionista squeeled in delight before dragging into her boutique for his measurements. He stood completely still with his arms up and let Rarity take his measurements as they chatted away. After about thirty minutes of measuring and asking for any custom details done on his tux Rarity proclaimed that she would have his tux done in three or four days. Satisfied, Chase opened a portal home and said goodbye before stepping through. He looked at the clock of his massive living room and saw that it was four thirty in the afternoon.
Wow time flies when your having fun. Chase thought with a chuckle.
He walked to the kitchen for some lunch but stopped when he heard hissing to his left. He turned to the source and saw a little black and greenish-blue insect looking pony. It's glowing jade eyes stared at the human and it's wings buzzed. Chase looked at the little thing in confusion before it stepped into the shadows and in it's place walked out Nightmare Moon.
"What in the fu....." he started but was cut off when Nightmare lunged at him, hissing like the little monster did. He dodged to his left and Nightmare Moon crashed into the wall. Chase wasted no time and jumped on the evil mare, wrapping his arms around her neck. She struggled to get Chase off her but was unable to as Chase kept an iron grip around the evil mare's neck. With a quick and forceful jerk Chase broke Nightmare Moon's neck causing her to stop moving and slump to the floor the last of her breath leaving her lungs.
Chase looked triumphant but was given a shock as Nightmare moon changed into the little insect pony he saw a minute ago. He knelt by it and poked it a couple of times before checking for a pulse. He put two fingers to the creatures neck but felt no heartbeat.
"Poor thing but what the hell was that thing?" Chase asked the empty hall.
Chase decided to give whatever this thing was a proper burial and levitated it into the air. He walked down the hall to one of the many doors leading to the backyard and opened the large doors. He walked around the massive yard before finding a suitable place to bury the creature. With a simple gesture a shovel appeared and he started digging. After twenty minutes of digging Chase felt satisfied with the hole before putting the insect pony into it. Within ten minutes he filled and packed the dirt onto the unmarked grave and stood there for awhile before he turned to head inside.
I better inform Celestia of this, He thought, hunger forgotten and replaced by concern, Maybe this is the outside force that is threatening Canterlot. She needs to see this ASAP.
He entered his room and went for his desk. He grabbed a pen and paper and immediately started writing.
Dear Princess Celestia,
I need you to come to my world immediately. I was attacked by some unknown creature that could change it's form but i managed to kill it by severing it's spine but I need you to see this thing for yourself because I think it may be part of the outside force that is threatening Canterlot. So please if you can I need you here.

With a snap of his fingers he sent the letter to Celestia. Within ten minutes Chase saw a portal open and Celestia walked through with a worried look plaguing her face.
"Show me this creature Chase." she said and Chase nodded.
Chase quickly lead the alabaster alicorn princess to the backyard where he dug up the unmarked grave and pulled out the creature. He layed it before Celestia who looked at it with horror.
"A c-c-changling," she said and looked up at chase, "B-but what's it doing here?"
"I don't know Celestia," He said and put the changling back into it's grave, "All i know is it was here, it tried to kill me so I killed it."
Celestia looked at the grave then to chase with concern. Chase just grinned at her.
"Well I don't have any evidence but I think this 'Changling' may be part of the outside force that threatens Canterlot but i'm unsure." he said scratching his head.
Celestia nervously chuckled before shrugging it off. "I doubt it, why would the changlings' be so bold as to threaten Canterlot." she chuckled again as she and chase walked back inside.
What Chase and Celestia didn't know was that the changling wouldn't be the first or the last they see or face, whether it be in Equestria or...... Earth.

The Royal Wedding: Chase meets Queen Chrysalis
Chase was the first to arrive at Canterlot the next day, having the advantage of knowing the location of the Equestrian capitol is awesome in his opinion, just ten minutes before the girls. He smiled and waved at them as they exited the train with shocked expressions on their faces before Pinkie sneezed confettii. Chase looked just as shocked as the girls did but shook it off.
"Before you ask, I got here by magic and it's magic so i ain't gotta explain anything." He said with a toothy grin before standing.
He saw Twilight start to head for the castle and Chase facepalmed before following her. She arrived at the castle courtyard just as the captain of the royal guard, the groom himself, sent guards to their posts. Chase just sighs as Twilight glared at her brother.
"I have a bone to pick with you mister." she said as she trotted across the yard, her comment being met with spears.
"Twilly" Shining Armor exclaimed and ordered the guards to lower their weapons. He looked behind twilight and saw Chase. "And you."
"And hello to you too captain." chase said with a bow, "Tackle any innocent ponies lately?"
Shining Armor just shook his head as he gestured for Twilight and Chase to follow him. He lead them to a part of the castle wall which overlooked the city of Canterlot. Twilight started to nag at Shining about how he didn't bother to tell her about his wedding and to a pony she didn't even know.
Oh for the love of.... "Uh twilight think about this," Chase said kneeling next to her and putting two hands on her shoulders, "Maybe he has a reason for not telling you off hand or uh in this case hoof, but just look around us."
He sweeps his arm around himself and twilight at the barrier surrounding Canterlot. Twilight looked at the barrier confused and looked back at Chase.
"So there's a barrier," she said to chase, "Why would..."
"Because Canterlot has come under threat by some unknown outside force twilly." Shinging Armor said in a very serious tone. "I have been charged by the princess to erect the barrier around Canterlot because i'm the onlypony who can do it."
His horn glowed the same color as the barrier and a beam of magic shot up and hit the barrier seeming to strengthen it. Chase whistled at this but saw that it left Armor exhausted.
"And i'm guessing that's why you couldn't tell your little sister then." chase said and the captain nodded.
"Chase did you know about this?" Twilight asked as she turned to chase who just scratched his head.
"Why else would the princess put him in charge of extra security details." Shining armor said and twilight looked hurt.
"I was asked not to mention this to you by Celestia so i kept my mouth shut." the human said with a chuckle. "But i guess you had to find out sooner or later but enough about that," he turned to Shining Armor, "So when can we meet the lucky mare?"
Shining looked at Twilight with a smile. "Well Twilly knows who Miamore Cadenza is after all," he looked away with the same smile, "She was her foalsitter."
"Wait so it's..." she trailed off as her eyes widened and she smiled like Pinkie. "Cadence!!!"
Shining Armor nodded and twilight started to bounce around. Chase just looked at her confused and looked to Shining Armor for clarity. He explained that Cadence was Twilight's foalsitter when she was a little filly and she absolutely loved her. Just as Twilight was bouncing about Shining asked if she would be his best mare. She squeed and exclaimed her yes and hugged him causing Chase to d'aw.
"I hope i'm not interuppting anything." came a kind yet annoyed voice from behind chase and the three looked back at a pink alicorn mare with a yellow, pink, and purlpe colored mane and tail with a crystal heart as her cutie mark. Chase assumed this was Cadence.
"Mi Amore Cadenza I presume?" Chase said with a raised eyebrow.
"Yes i am," she said and looked him over, "and you must be the extra wedding 'precausion'."
"Eeyup. Nicholas Chase Welcher, human magic user and former student of the malicious Nightmare Moon at your service." he said with a bow and she actually smiled.
"I have heard about you and it is good that someone a little more competent will be keeping track of our wedding." she said her smile disappearing.
If i didn't know any better, I think i was just insulted. chase thought but smiled. "Well that is..... great to hear."
She was about to say something else but Twilight jumped in front of her and started doing something like a little ritual while singing 'Sunshine Sunshine Ladybugs awake, clap your hooves and do a little shake.'. Chase snickered at the display and saw that Cadence looked annoyed by it.
"What are you doing?" she asked.
"It's the song you taught me when i was a filly." Twilight said looking confused.
Cadence, or Mi Amore Cadenza, looked at twilight with an 'I'm not amused' look on her face and proceeded to walk past Twilight and Chase to her fiance. As she passed Chase she brushed against him and an image of a black pony with jade eyes momentarily flashed in his vision. He gasped and stepped back from Cadence with a suprised look.
The hell was that about...? Chase thought as Cadence gave Shining Armor a kiss on the cheek. Chase shivered as she turned to look at Twilight and Him.
"Well I guess you want the details on the security." she asked, venom hidden in her kind voice.
"Nah, at least not right now." Chase said trying not to sound nervous, "But I have been asked by Celestia to accompany you while you are looking over the preperations for your wedding."
She bared a false smile and asked that the two leave her fianace and herself alone to discuss some things. They agreed and left them be.
"She's acting strange." Twilight said to chase as they entered the courtyard.
"How so Twilight?" Chase aske putting his hands behind his head.
"She's acting different than she used to act. She's acting more like....." she trailed off trying to find the right words.
"A bitch." Chase said bluntly lookin back to where Cadence and Shining Armor are.
"I-I g-guess." she said nervously, a little shocked at Chase's choice of words.
"Your right Twilight, I actually noticed three things wrong with that entire conversation with her." Chase said, as they started walking the streets of Canterlot. "One, she acted completely snobby towards you and didn't know that little chant and dance of yours that she taught you herself. Two, she flat out insulted the guards, and i think she isulted me as well, in front of their captain no less. And Three, she didn't sound all to happy about me being brought in as extra security as well as being her chaperone as she prepares for the wedding."
Twilight thought hard on that as they met up with the other five girls. After a short chat they each went to their respective jobs. Twilight turned to Chase and asked him if he could help her with her job since he had to accompany Cadence anyways. Chase smiled and nodded his head.
Throughout the day Chase and Twilight started to hate Mi Amore Cadenza's attitude and the way she seemed to judge everything with intense dislike. By the end of the day, they absolutely hated her. all seven of them were at a cafe enjoying their drinks of choice.
"Somethings not right with her." Twilight said with a disgruntled look on her face.
"Why's that Twi?" Applejack asked
"Did nopony else notice the way she acted all grumpy during her visits to each of you today?" she said looking at each of them and Chase raised his hand. "Anypony else besides Chase?"
"Well of course we noticed darling," Rarity said in a 'it's-obvious' manner. "But i would be too if I was doing all the preparations myself."
"But..." Twilight started but was interrupted by AJ.
"It sounds like your just jealous twi." She said and Chase face palmed.
"It kinda does sound like that." RD said as she sipped her tea.
She was about to say more but the other mares decided to call it a day leaving Chase and Twilight at the cafe. Twilight started mumbling something incoherent and started getting sad. Chase put a hand on her shoulder and smiled.
"Why don't we just go talk to your brother about Cadence." he said with kindness in his voice.
She nodded and started walking to shining's house with chase following. They arrived at the captains house some time later and entered. They looked around for him but couldn't find him. Chase heard voices coming from a nearby door and he silently told twilight. The two quietly approached the door and looked inside seeing Cadence and shining armor arguing about something shining was gonna wear. He started to argue against her about wearing it at their wedding when he cringed and closed his left eye, obviously a headache. Cadence chuckled a little evily before her horn glowed jade and she put it to his head causing his eyes to turn a shade of green. Twilight silently gasped and Chase's hands glowed their own emerald green as she once again told shining not to wear the symbol but this time he said he wouldn't.
Chase decided to get Twilight out of there before she, or himself for that matter, did something that would give them away. He grabbed Twilight and teleported them out of the home and onto the streets. Twilight broke down and started to cry.
"I-I can't believe it," She said, her heart heavy. "She's brainwashing him."
She looked at Chase who just looked back at the house in disbelief, his own mind racing with question after question at what he saw. Could Cadence be in league with the outside force? Is she brainwashing Shining Armor to put up a false force field? Chase decided to let things be until the wedding where, hopefully, everything would be revealed.
"Twilight let's get you back to your room and we'll confront Cadence tomorrow." Chase said giving a grin very familiar to Twilight.
She nodded and ran back to the castle, Chase following close behind. They entered the courtyard and Twilight stopped before turning to Chase.
"Chase I want you to help me tomorrow." She said, confidence sparkling in her eyes. "I don't think I can confront her and tell the others about what she's doing without any help and since you saw what she did to my brother too who better than the greatest human i know."
Chase grinned and ruffled Twilight's mane. "I'm in and whether you asked or not i would've backed you up anyways Twilight."
Twilight smiled and hugged him before trotting to her room leaving Chase to his thoughts. He walked to his own room but was stopped by Luna.
"Oh hey there Luna." Chase said holding up a fist.
"Good evening Chase." She said and brohoofed Chase.
"So what can I do for you?" Chase asked and started to walk again with Luna walking alongside him.
"I was just wondering how you are enjoying your stay here in Canterlot as well as asking how the security preperations are coming along." she said, talking with the human casually as she always does with him.
"Preperations are coming along nicely," Chase said with false confidence, "I've added some extra protection spells at the north, south, east, and west points of the castle and town so that if anything gets in they can't get out."
"Excellent, I guess that is why big sister put you as extra security." Luna said with a smile.
"Well I have you and Celestia to thank for the more advanced magical knowledge i have now," Chase said, "You two have taught me more magic than i ever have with that vile creature anyday. Not to mention that you and I are best friends."
"That is true but I do not remember either of us teaching you a spell like what you cast on the castle and town." Luna said with a curious look.
"Oh well I kinda experiment with some of the spells you two show me and so far i've come up with five new ones you can add to your books, presumably under the name Chase the Wise." he said jokingly making luna laugh.
"Well, you will have to show us these spells sometime after the wedding." She said with a giggle.
"Will do Luna, shouldn't you be on watch?" Chase said holding up his fist again and recieving a hoof from Luna.
"Yes I do but i only wished to know about the preperations which i am grateful that they are coming along wonderfully," She said before opening her wings, "Farewell Chase."
With a wave from Chase Luna flew back to the observation tower leaving Chase once again to his thoughts. He found his room and entered it. He looked out the window onto Canterlot before he lay in his bed and fell asleep.
The next day, during the rehearsal, was when Twilight and Chase decided to confront Cadence which they did. During the rehearsal they barged in and accused Cadence but she seemed to have Shining in her grasp. Shining snapped at the two as Cadence ran out of the room crying with shining and the others following to comfort her.
"B-But..." Twilight started but was interuppted by Shining.
"Don't bother coming to the wedding either of you." he said before the doors closed leaving both the lavender unicorn and the human alone.
Chase sat on the steps and slammed his fist on the ground yelling damnit. Twilight started to cry and layed on the stairs next to chase. He put a hand on her neck before sensing a presence behind him. He and Twilight turned to see Cadence standing on the top of the stage.
"I'm so sorry Cadence." Twilight said to Cadence.
Chase was about to apologize when he saw Cadence's eyes momentarily turn from pink to jade and a wicked grin crossed her face as her horn glowed.
"Oh you will be, both of you." she said as a ring of grin flames surrounded the two.
Chase made a lunge at Cadence and managed to grab her but was once again met with the image of the black pony only more clear. It was a Changeling. But not just any Changeling, she was the queen of the Changelings Queen Chrysalis. Chase let go and stepped back and was surrounded by the flames again.
"Your...." he started to say but was engulfed by the flames.
He heard laughter from the disguised queen before he blacked out.

Author's Note
Ok forgot to mention this in the first chapter but the first three chapters of this sequal deal with the royal wedding but with Chase added. After chapter three, the Changelings appear on earth and Chase finds more than a couple of new necks to break on earth, he finds love but with who you'll have to find out as the story progresses. Thank you everypony.
Chrysalis growled at the defeat she suffered. Not only had she lost control of Shining Armor's mind she also lost the chance to feed her people, all because of that wretched unicorn and furless biped. Chrysalis was suddenly interested in the bipedal creature that was known as Chase and more importantly how a creature like him could preform magic equal to, from what she could sense, princess Celestia. A smile spread on her snout as she thought of the possibility of what kind of world he came from. She cackled as she imagined how long she could feed her people off the love from the denizens of his world. With a resolve found she set out to find a way to get to his world.

Chase walked down the only path to Fluttershy's cottage with a smile and a basket filled with flower seeds from his world as well as some food for the animals she cared for. He thought about what happened three days ago, the wedding, the invasion, and more importantly, finding out that he and Fluttershy had the same feelings for each other. Upon finding out each others feelings they became each others special someponies. Chase smiled at the thought of both of them spending their lives together. He heard the familiar melodious singing off his special yellow mare as her cottage came into view. Chase saw Flutters in her front yard tending to the many animals that she keeps including the little devil himself, Angel. He was pestering Flutters about something, what he didn't know.
"What's Angel bugging you about this time Fluttershy?" Chase said as he entered through the front gate.
Fluttershy looked up from the animals and smiled before hugging her special somepony who returned the hug.
"Oh nothing really sweetie," she said with her usual calm smile, "He's just asking me why your coming over today."
Chase smiled and looked at the rabbit who just glared back at him. He chuckled actually surprised that he threatened Angel, to which he was glad cause with Chase around he wouldn't get to push Fluttershy around.
"Well it's good to know that he cares so much." Chase said sarcastically.
Fluttershy giggled before noticing the basket Chase had.
"What's in there?" she asked and poked the basket cautiously.
"Well I thought you could use some more flowers for your garden and brought some seeds from my world for you to plant in your garden." Chase said pulling out some of the seeds. "I also brought some food for some of the animals you take care of as well as a carrot for Angel if he behaved."
Angel's ears perked up when he heard that the human brought him a carrot. Chase noticed this and grinned taking the carrot out of the basket, a big carrot that looked fresh. Angel drooled at the sight and decided to be Chase's best friend putting on a smile.
"Oh that was nice of you," Fluttershy said, nuzzling Chase, "You're so caring Chase."
Chase smiled kissing Fluttershy on the cheek. He was escorted into his marefriend's cottage where he set the basket on the top of her fireplace, out of the reach of Angel. Angel looked at Chase annoyed at the inconvenience and only earned a chuckle.
"So Flutters," Chase said as he stretched. "Got any plans outside of taking care of your animals today? Cause I ain't got anything to do."
"Well I was going to head into town for a spa day with Rarity if you'd like to come," she said "If you don't mind that is."
"I don't at all Fluttershy." he said with a smile.
She smiled and left the cottage with C hase following her. He decided to give Angel the carrot before he left. He tossed the carrot to the rude bunny, who ate it with gusto silently thanking Chase as the door to the cottage closed. Fluttershy was about to walk to the front gate but Chase stopped her.
"Yes?" she asked her boyfriend with curiosity.
"Where do you usually meet Rarity," chase asked his hands glowing slightly, "At her boutique or at the spa?"
"Oh I usually just meet her at the spa but sometimes I meet her before she leaves." she said and looked up at Chase. "Why do you ask?"
"Because Rarity hasn't left her boutique yet so.." he lifts his hands, which glowed their usual emerald glow causing Fluttershy to 'ooh'.
"I-"if you'd like sweetie." she said and hugged chase.
He smiled and teleported them outside of Rarity's Boutique just as she exited it, jumping as the couple appeared before her.
"Oh by Celestia you two scared me." She said as she had a hoof to her chest.
Chase chuckled. "Sorry Rarity." he said.
"It's alright Chase." she said before realizing something. "Did Fluttershy ask you to come today?"
"Eeyup." Chase said in a perfect Big Mac voice causing both mares to giggle. "Had nothin better to."
Rarity giggled and the trio went to the spa. Chase had only been to the Ponyville spa once and had thoroughly enjoyed it when he did. He had always wanted an excuse to go back there and thank Celestia he had his reason today. They arrived at the spa and were immediately greeted by the two mares that worked there, Aloe and Lotus. Rarity asked for the usual for her and Fluttershy.
"And you sir?" Lotus asked Chase.
"Guess I'll take the same treatment as my friend and marefriend." Chase said shrugging.
Chase felt himself be dragged by Rarity to the first of their treatment. He was forced to sit and his shoes were removed. He looked at the mare confused until he felt his toenails being filed by the light pink mare. He looked over and saw the same being done to Rarity and Fluttershy.
"Next time I'm just gonna ask for a massage or somethin." Chase said and chuckled actually enjoying the treatment.
"Well then Chase I guess your not enjoying yourself then?" Rarity said with a grin.
"Oh no I am," the human said with an equal grin. "In fact so far it's better than the first time I came here. But oh my god this is still heavenly."
He received a giggle from Aloe as she moved to his other foot causing him to sigh in delight.
"So how's life being Fluttershy's special somepony Mr. Welcher?" Rarity asked as they were moved to three massage tables.
"Oh well it's great," He said as he lay on his stomach on the table, Aloe stepping to his left. "I love her cottage and the animals she takes care of, Angel's a pain in the ass though. She's also becoming a little less shy with me around, isn't that right Flutters?"
"Oh yes and I'm liking it," she said as she had her back massaged. "It's a little like with Iron Will's seminar minus the being a bully effect."
"Oh don't remind me of that jackass." Chase said as Aloe kneaded her hooves into his back, feeling the tension he had. "I swear if I ever see him again I am going to make him regret making you into that. Almost did when he tried to collect the money from you."
"You don't have to do that sweetie." Fluttershy said.
"Yeah he's long gone from out lives and won't be bothering Fluttershy again." Rarity said and sighed in delight at her massage.
"I guess your right." Chase said and started to relax. But I swear to both Celestia and Luna that if I ever see that Minotaur again I will tear him a new one.
The rest of the Spa day was one of relaxation for Chase, the stress of the day slowly ebbing away as Aloe worked on him. By the end of their treatment Chase was in Nirvana. After the three of them equally paid for the treatment they exited the spa, a sigh escaping Chase.
"I have to say that was better than the last time I was there." Chase said with a smile. "Aloe really knows how to make someone relaxed."
"Well I'm glad you enjoyed yourself sweetie." Fluttershy said and hovered in front of him, giving him a kiss.
He returned the kiss and wrapped his arms around the yellow mare, his timid pegasus. She nuzzled his cheek and looked into his eyes, her cyan eyes staring into his green eyes. Chase suddenly felt something off around them and swept the area with his eyes.
Why am I getting the feeling I'm being watched? he thought recieving a look of worry from his special mare.
"Are you ok Chase?" she asked, looking around. "Is something wrong?"
"Oh no Fluttershy just a feeling of being watched is all." he said with a smile.
He set Fluttershy down and opened a portal home. Fluttershy looked confused.
"It's ok Fluttershy I just need to go home to check on something real quick and then I'll be right back." he said and was about to walk through it but was stopped by Fluttershy.
"Let me come with you." she said sternly and looked at Chase. "I want to help you with this so please let me sweetie."
He was about to argue but shut his mouth and smiled. Now this was a Fluttershy he loved. "Alright Sweetheart come on." he says and steps to the side letting Fluttershy go through first and stepping through after her.
Fluttershy stood and stared in awe at the castle that had once belonged to the evil Nightmare Moon. Chase had kept the structure of the castle but had added his own flare to it. He smiled and guided Fluttershy through it, scanning the area for any sign of intruders or anymore Changelings. After fifteen minutes or so of doing this he felt satisfied with there being no Changelings or intruders in his home.
"Guess it was just a bit of paranoia." He said chuckling nervously.
Fluttershy smiled at him and saw a magnificent garden outside of the window. Her eyes grew into the size of dinner plates and she smiled like Pinkie on the day they met. Chase chuckled and lead Fluttershy out to the garden. While the two love birds were out in the garden another portal opened in front of the castle. A black hoof stepped through the portal followed by another until Chrysalis stood in the light of a new world, a world filled with love that could feed her subjects for quite some time. With an inhale of the air she smiled. She turned to the changelings on the otherside of the portal and nodded, silently giving them the order they've been waiting for. With a chorus of hisses the changelings flew threw the portal and across the skies, seeking out the only sources of love in this world, Humans. Chrysalis sneered and slowly walked down the stairs.
"This day is going to be perfect." she said and cackled.

Changeling War: Chase Vs. The Changelings
Chrysalis was fascinated with the look of the world she was standing in, it had a feel to Equestria but she knew that more creature's like Chase lived in this world. She could sense a faint trace of another kind of evil magic here, a strong magic that had affected the world for years. Chrysalis wondered if this evil left this world scarred during it's reign. With a chuckle and a quick look around she opened her wings and flew off to the nearest town, the hometown of the biped who foiled her plans at the wedding.

Chase silently chuckled at Fluttershy's reaction to the garden that resided behind the castle and thought how cute she looked, like a child at his first amusement park. She looked around in amazement at all the flora and such decorating the garden. She oooh'd and aww'd at the sight before turning to Chase, her cyan colored eyes wide in excitement.
"Oh Chase it's beautiful," She said, her wings fluttering, "It's almost as beautiful as the one in Canterlot. Do you have any little critters here?"
"Well yes I do. Nothing as exotic as what they have in the Canterlot gardens but I still get some animals here." he says as a dove lands on his shoulder.
Fluttershy's eyes widened at the dove's behavior and Chase smiled as the dove flew over to Fluttershy. It landed on her back and cried out happily. Fluttershy sang out and the dove responded with the same melody.
"Damn you are good with animals whether in Equestria or here." Chase said with a chuckle. "I'm jealous Flutters."
She just giggled as the dove flew away in fear. Chase and Fluttershy looked up and saw flocks of birds fleeing. Chase was starting to wonder what they were running from when an all to familiar chorus of hissing came from behind the couple. They turned and saw a small group of changelings staring at them, hissing at them.
"You Gotta Be Kidding Me!" Chase exclaimed. "Not you bastards again."
Fluttershy cowered behind Chase, knowing he would protect her. Chase looked down at Fluttershy then back to the Changelings cursing under his breath.
I can't fight these changelings and protect Fluttershy at the same time, Chase thought as the changelings slowly started to advance on them. I have to get her back to Equestria to get the others and get the Elements of Harmony, now.
The changelings charged them but ran into a barrier put up by Chase at the last possible moment. He flicked his wrist behind him and a portal to Equestria opened. Fluttershy looked at the portal, which showed her cottage, before looking back up at Chase.
"Fluttershy," Chase said not letting his gaze go from the changelings.
"Y-Yes Chase?" She asked.
"I need you to get back to Equestria, get the others and the Elements of Harmony, Cadence and Shining, and tell them what's going on Earth while I hold off these Changelings." He said before pushing them back.
"What should I tell them?" she asked, slowly backing to the portal.
"That the Changelings have invaded Earth and that they have unofficially declared war on me." He said as he sent a blast of magic at a changeling, knocking it back.
She gave him a nod and ran through the portal, which closed when she was through. Chase smiled before turning back to the black insect-like creatures with clenched fists and glowing eyes. The one he knocked back got up and charged him, it's head down as if to impale him with it's horn. Chase brought up his left foot and it collided with the changelings forehead cauing it to veer off course and crash into a hedge. Chase turned and gave a roundhouse kick to the right cheek of another charging changeling, sending it skidding across the grass.
"I will not let another evil mare take control of this world," Chase said as his hands and eyes glowed his magical aura. "And I will not let your queen steal the love of the denizens of this world and leave them as husks who can't love."
With a hiss the two changelings he already hit charged him but he was prepared for the charge. He teleported away before they could get him and ended up tackling each other, crumbling into a heap. Chase appeared behind them and summoned a large root from below impaling both the changelings, glowing green blood staining the root. He turned to the remaining changelings who hissed at him in anger before charging at him. With a roar he charged them.....

Fluttershy arrived at the tree library and knocked on the door in a rush. Twilight opened the door and was surprised to see Fluttershy with a scared look on her face.
"What's wrong Fluttershy?" she asked the yellow pegasus.
"Chase's in trouble." she said, her breathing heavy and tears starting to form in her eyes.
"What?" Twilight asks again. "How is he in..."
"The changelings have invaded earth and he needs our help," she said as she started to cry, worried for her boyfriend. "We have to help him Twilight."
Twilight nodded and called for Spike, who ran into the room urgently. She asked him to go gather the others and to tell the it was an emergancy. He nodded and rushed off just as Fluttershy cried. She put a hoof over the pegasus's shoulder and started to comfort her.
"He's going to be alright Fluttershy." Twilight said in a calm and soothing tone. "You and I know that Chase is a pretty tough guy and wouldn't let a couple of changelings get the better of him, it was because of him that we managed to help Cadence escape, stop Chrysalis from marrying my big brother, and stop the changeling invasion of Canterlot. So have faith in him Fluttershy because he fights for his family, his friends, and you."
Fluttershy looked up at Twilight and smiled just as the other four mares burst through the door.
"What's up Twilight," Rainbow dash said as she saw Twilight comforting Fluttershy. "What's the emergancy?"
"The Changelings have invaded Chase's world and Chase needs our help to stop them from doing so." Twilight said, "And I'm guessing that he wants Cadence and Shining's help in stopping them?"
Fluttershy nodded as she wiped a tear from her eyes. The girls all looked at each other with concerned looks before turning to Twilight and Fluttershy. They were about to say something when Princess Celestia, Cadence, and Shining Armor appeared in the library with the chest that contained the Elements of Harmony. This surprised the six mares.
"Princess what are you doing here?" Twilight asked the Sun princess.
"I received a ominous message from Chase asking me to fetch Cadence and Shining Armor as well as bring them and the Elements to you." she said with a worried look decorating her face.
"What's going on Twily?" Shining asked.
"W-well the changelings are invading Chase's world." Twilight said and the three royals gasped.
"He needs our help." Fluttershy said. "And I'll help him even if it costs me my life."
"Well what are we waitin for?" Applejack said and grabbed her Element from the chest. "We need to get to Earth and help him."
They all nodded their heads and retrieved their elements just as a portal opened and it showed the garden Fluttershy was at moments ago. They see the group of Changelings lying dead around chase, who was covered in cuts, bruises, and two colors of blood. The girls and the newly weds stepped through the portal. Chase looked at them and smiled at them.
"Welcome to Earth for the first time Cadence, Shining Armor." he said and bowed to them. "Sorry you couldn't come here on better terms."
"It's ok Chase," Cadence said with a friendly smile. "My husband and I are willing to help you since you help us with our wedding."
"Well that's good to hear and again congratulations on the wedding I absolutely loved it." Chase said.
The girls looked around at the area and at the dead changelings, some from broken necks, some from holes in their chests and two from being impaled by a large tree root. Chase noticed them staring at the aftermath and chuckles.
"Got carried away there." he said and cleaned himslef off of the blood. "But anyways ready to kick some Changeling flank?"
They all nodded and Chase grinned before turning to the door leading into the castle. He knew that this was going to be a tough battle and he knew that on this day somepony was going to either surrender........ or Die.

Changeling War: The Search For Chrysalis
Chase and his friends walked into the castle from the back garden. Chase was swearing under his breath as he lead his friends through the dark halls, the green blood on his body dried. His special somepony walked up next to him and nuzzled his hand causing him to look at her. Fluttershy smiled up at him and he couldn't help but do the same.
"I am so glad you're okay Chase," she said with relief clear in her voice, "I was so worried that the changelings hurt you."
Chase smiled and stroked his love's mane. She sighed and leaned into his hand. "Flutters you've known me for a year and a half," he said with a smile as he continued to stroke her mane, "I am strong and will let nothing hurt me, my friends, family or the one I love."
She smiles and hugs him causing the others to D'aw. He pulled back from the hug and looked deep into Fluttershy's eyes. He stood up and cracked his knuckles.
"Now that we have that out of the way let's go kick some changeling flank and find that bitch of a queen."
With nods of agreements from the others he turns and strode to the front doors. Stopping before the doors, Chase could hear the sound of changelings flying from some kind of portal and a grin spread over his face from ear to ear. Alright let's do this. "LEEEEEROOOOOOY JEEEENKINS!!!!" He shouted as he kicked the door open and rushed outside into the changeling swarm with his friends behind him. The changelings turned to them in surprise before charging to meet them.

Chrysalis landed in the center of Chase's town and looked around, intrigued by the sights she saw. She was unaware of a group of children nearby who saw her land and grew curious about her. They slowly approached her wonder of what she was dancing through their little heads. Chrysalis turned to them as they got close and the children took a step back in surprise. Chrysalis gave a false smile to the children and beckoned them over with a hoof. They walked over to the changeling with caution. Chrysalis sensed their caution and immediately thought that the reason for their caution was the presence that once existed in this world. She decided to lure them into a false security in order for her to feed on their love.
"There is no need to be afraid little ones," Chrysalis said with a smile on her muzzle, "I will not hurt you."
The children saw the smile and somehow found warmth in it, walking to Chrysalis and standing before her. They looked her over fascinated by her appearance and love flowed from them, feeding Chrysalis. She cackled under her breath as she felt the love of the children and was excited at the amount of love she was receiving. Soon the parents of the children approached, were alerted about Chrysalis, and called their kids over to them annoying Chrysalis. The parents glared at Chrysalis, only giving her an excuse to use her brainwashing magic. With a grin and a green glow of her horn, Chrysalis cast her spell on the parents and children.

With a sigh and a crick of his neck, Chase was exhausted as he and his friends were victorious in pushing back the remaining changelings, preventing them from invading the world, and closing the portal.He looked at the girls and the couple, covered in bruises and minor cuts, before checking on Fluttershy.
"You ok hun?" He asked looking over Fluttershy.
"I'm alright Chase," Fluttershy said kindly, smiling up at him, "So don't worry sweetie."
He sighed in relief before looking in the direction of his hometown, a sense of dread lingering over him. He had a feeling that the vengeful queen was there, draining the people of his town.
"What's wrong Chase?" Twilight asked, noticing where he was looking.
"I think I know where Chrysalis is gonna start draining love from." Chase said in a voice barely audible to the group and in a tone of both anger and fear.
Twilight opened her mouth to ask where when Chase turned to them. He looked absolutely furious and he mumbled under his breath as his eyes said what his words didn't.
"She's in your hometown isn't she?" Cadence asked, recieving a nod from Chase.
A chorus of gasps rang out from the other ponies and Chase swallowed bile that was rising in his throat. Fluttershy nuzzled his hand and looked up at him worried. He knelt down and kissed her on the cheek smiling as best as he could. Fluttershy knew he was trying to act strong for her but inside she knew Chase was filled with worry for his family and what Chrysalis may do to them if she ever found out they were his family. She kissed her boyfriend and silently reassured him they would do everything they could to find and stop the changeling before she did too much damage to the earth and its populace. With a smile Chase stood up and cracked his knuckles before turning in the direction of his hometown.
"We're comin' for you Chryssy," Chase said as he and the group of eight ponies headed for the town, "And when i find you I'm finishing what you started in Cantorlot. So let's finish this war as soon as it was started."
As the group head for the town Shining Armor walked beside Chase and saw the look of a man on a war path on his face, his eyes glowing emerald in anger. Shining understood all to well why he was like this since it was Chrysalis they were dealing with. He shook his head at the memories, or rather what he could remember, of the time the changeling was disguised as Cadence.
"Shaking off the bad memories Shining Armor?" Chase asked, not taking his eyes from the path they were taking.
"Yeah or what i can remember of her when she was acting like Cadence." He said smiling akwardly.
"I know all to well what it's like to try to shake off memories of a bad experience," Chase said, looking back at the castle that was growing smaller with every step, "But some experiences are harder to forget than others especially if you spent years with it."
Shining Armor nodded knowing all to well what he was talking about. The tale of Nightmare Moon taking over Earth and how Chase, his little sister Twilight, and the others took it back with the Elements of Harmony became well known in Cantorlot. He couldnt blame Chase for the way he was acting right now. He was also sure that his wife felt the same way and his hypothosis was correct when Cadence walked up next to them both.
"Don't worry to much Chase," Cadence said smiling, "With all nine of us there is no way Chrysalis will be able to take over Earth."
Chase looked at Cadence and chuckled.
"I'll make sure she doesnt Cadence," Chase said, "I'll make damned sure that she and the changelings that are still here see why I will not allow anymore evil to take over the world, there's enough of that on earth as it is and it doesn't need anymore."
Cadence and Shining Armor smile before pulling back a bit. Fluttershy walked right up next to him. In her mind she was paniced and scared beyond belief but she tried her best to be brave for Chase so she could help him save his world again. She felt his hand on her head and smiled as they reached the outskirts of his town.
"Well that's..... new." Chase said when he saw a group of people waiting for them.
He looked at them closely and was surprised to see that their eyes were like Shining's when he was under Chrysalis's spell. He facepalmed and clenched his fists, his eyes glowing emerald in anger as he saw that his parents and his brother were among the group.
"CHRYSALIS," Chase screamed out at the town, "THIS IS THE LAST STRAW! GET YOUR BLACK ASS OUT HERE SO WE CAN SETTLE THIS ONCE AND FOR ALL!!"
A cackle was heard from the town and the crowd parted, revealing the changeling queen with a smug look decorating her face. Chase growled at her and resisted the urge to rush foreward to break her neck.
"Well well if it isnt the hairless ape who foiled my plans to feed my subjects," Chrysalis said, glaring at him and then shifted her gaze to Cadence and Twilight, "and Twilight and Cadence what a surprise to see all of you here."
"This is where I used to live you damned bug." Chase growled at her.
"Oh is it," Chrysalis said in mock surprise before laughing, "I didn't know that I was just going to the nearest town."
Chase growled at Chrysalis and did something very very stupid.

Sorry for the long wait, I've had things happen and i haven't had the chance to work on anything on this site. But after a long hiatus im back and i have a new means of typing this and my other stories, wether they be current ones or future ones.
Changeling War: Chase VS Chrysalis
Chase's eyes screamed for Chrysalis's blood as he rushed forward in a fit of rage, his teeth bared as much as he could. The crowd of brainwashed citizens made a barrier between him and the changeling, causing him to trip and slide on the ground, coming to a stop before the crowd. With a a groan and a cough Chase shakily stood up, his clothes tattered and covered in dirt, and glared at Chrysalis who laughed maniacally.
"You cowardly bug!" Chase growled with pure hostility. "Are you scared to face me yourself? Or is the almighty changeling queen too much of filly to fight her own battles?"
"Oh I can fight my own battles just fine," She said smugly, petting one of the younger human's heads. "Its just that it is more fun to use these wonderful sources of food against you, torturing you with the realization that you can't get to me without harming any of these apes."
Chase growled and wanted to yell that she was wrong but he knew that she was right. He couldn't risk harming anyone just to get to her. He cursed himself as Chrysalis laughed making him cringe. He was about to make another move when out of the corner of his eyes he saw Shining Armor walk up and stand defiantly next to him, silently challenging Chrysalis through body language and a stern look that said 'I won't back down'. He stared in disbelief at the newly wedded prince as Cadence, Twilight, Rainbow Dash, Applejack, Pinkie Pie, Rarity, and even Fluttershy accompanied Shining at Chase's side, each of them with stern looks decorating their faces.
"Guys.." Chase started but was interrupted by another cackle from the changeling queen.
"So all of you are going to help this fool?" She said, "By doing what? Using the power of love? HA!!!! That won't work this time!"
The looks on the nine faces made the queen smirk and the tell-tale sign of her magic engulfing her crooked horn shown. Chase noticed the glow and knocked the others out of the way just as he was flung forward, crashing into a stone wall with a solid thud. Fluttershy gasped and made an attempt to rush to her boyfriend but was stopped by a sudden appearance of the changelings that had already been sent out into the world, blocking the yellow pegasus's path. She meeped and backed away from them.
"Figures they'd come back," Rainbow Dash grumbled, staring down the changelings.
"We need to find away to get past these changelings and brainwashed humans so we can get to Chrysalis." Shining Armor said as he watched Chrysalis turn to where she flung Chase.
Chase groaned as he got up slowly, grumbling under his breath about once again being flung against a wall. He leaned against the wall and felt a sharp pain in his left shoulder, causing him to look down and cringe at the sight of his dangling, dislocated arm. He groaned and looked at Chrysalis, who was walking towards him with a smirk, a devious look twinkling in her eyes, and four changelings in armor flanking both sides of her. He glared at Chrysalis and the changelings flanking her before looking towards his friends, who were facing off with the other changelings trying to get to him and Chrysalis. With a grunt he grabbed his arm and managed to pop it back into place, all his nerves shooting off in pain as he did so. He gritted his teeth and tried his best not to cry out before he moved his arm again, opening and closing his hand before clenching it.
"Well looks like you're even more annoying than you were at the wedding," Chrysalis said with a slight growl, "I hate annoyances."
With a wave of her hoof the armored changelings charged Chase with the intention to kill him. Chase readied himself for them, his fists clenched, his hands glowing with magic, and only one thing racing through his mind, taking these changelings down and killing Chrysalis.

Fluttershy cowered as three changelings charged her only for them to be blasted away by a ray of purple magic. Twilight appeared next to her, beads of sweat dribbling down her head and gasps escaping her mouth. Fluttershy looked at the exhausted purple unicorn as she unleashed another blast.
"What are you doing Fluttershy?!" Twilight asked without averting her eyes from the horde. "You need to help us fight the changelings."
"B-But I..." she whimpers out still cowering behind Twilight.
"Do this for Chase!" Twilight yelled as she launched a changeling back into the ground.
Fluttershy's eyes widened at Twilight's words and something inside her burned, a feeling she only felt during the grand galloping gala. Her eyes changed from scared to stern and she got up, her face completely different. Twilight collapsed on the ground and a few changelings charged her. She braced herself for the onslaught but only heard the sound of something hitting the floor three times. Upon opening her eyes she saw fluttershy standing in front of her as well as the changelings that charged her unconscious on the ground.
"F-Fluttershy?" Twilight stammered looking up at the yellow pegasus, "D-Did you just.."
"Come on Twilight we need to go and help Chase." Fluttershy said before charging the changelings.

Upon the armored Changelings charge Chase himself charged at them screaming at the top of his lungs as he swung his fist at the nearest changeling. His fist connected with the changelings helmet and made it falter only to be knocked back by the remaining three, their horns tearing his shirt, cutting his flesh and piercing his skin drawing blood. Chase let out an audible gasp before kneeing one of the changelings in the stomach. The changeling he hit first charged at him as well as the changeling he just kneed. It seemed like no matter what he did or how much pain he inflicted on them they kept coming at him relentlessly. He tried to fend them off the best he could but they just kept coming at him, attacking him and inflicting multiple wounds on him. He heard Chrysalis laughing as the changelings kept on him.
"You see it is useless to face my Elite Guard," Chrysalis cackled as one of the guards stabbed him in the side of the stomach, "They are the toughest of my subjects and will not falter until you are dead and once you are I will kill those ponies and rule this world."
Something inside Chase snapped and he grabbed onto the nearest guard's head causing Chrysalis to look in caution.
"What are you...."
Before she could finish her question Chase twisted the guard's neck in one swift motion, a loud crack resonating. The guards body stiffened before falling to the ground, its eyes dimming as it died. Chrysalis looked on in anger as the remaining three stepped back in a moment of hesitation. Chase looked up at the queen, his own eyes in a state of anger and his body radiating anger and hatred.
"Chrysalis," Chase said, his voice coming out in a growl, "This world has already had a evil ruler that plunged the world in five years of darkness! I Had To Live With The Damned Mare For FIVE Years As Her Student, Doing Cruel Things To Others, And Yet Last Year I Finally Got Rid Of Her Forever And Gave The People Of My World The Light They Had Been Missing!!"
Another guard charged the human, aiming for his heart, but was stopped and thrown straight into the air. The guards face showed surprise at the sudden launch as Chase walked towards Chrysalis.
"I Will Not Let Earth Be Subjugated Again By Another Evil Pony!!" Chase yelled before rushing Chrysalis.

The Royal Wedding: Escape, Confrontation, and the Changling Invasion
Chase woke with a headache and the taste of something organic in his mouth. He shook his head and looked around which was hard since it was dark. He was about to summon a light ball but saw a familiar purple glow come from next to him. He turned and was relieved to see that it was Twilight and that she was ok. She saw chase and hugged him.
"Chase, oh thank Celestia it's you," she said before she looks around, "Where are we anyways?"
"Looks like some kind of crystal cavern." Chase said and looked around.
The two looked around the cavern and saw the beautiful crystals that surrounded them. Chase was about to say something but heard maniacal cackling come from all around them. Chase looks around and sees the fake's face in one of the crystals causing him to yelp and fall on his ass.
"You." Chase said with malice and venom in his voice. "Where are we you bitch?"
"Do you like it?" she asked in a mocking tone.
"Hell no but you still haven't answered my question." Chase growled.
"Well you two are in the old crystal caverns that run under Canterlot," 'Cadence' said with a smirk, "These caves haven't been explored in so long it is the perfect place to keep meddlers like you until I can fulfill my plans."
Twilight had enough of hearing her and blasted the crystal 'Cadence' was reflected in, destroying it. 'Cadence' appeared in another crystal, cackling, before Chase destroyed it with an emerald blast. Chase and Twilight did this for a good five minutes until both of them destroyed a patch of crystals that opened a way out of their current prison and shed some natural light into the dome. Chase shielded his eyes from the light momentarily before he looked and saw a much more scraggly Cadence.
Hmmm is this the same Cadence that trapped us here or..... Chase thought and his eyes widened as he looked into the pink alicorns' eyes.
Twilight immediately took action and lunged at the pink alicorn but was stopped by Chase.
"Chase why did you stop me," She asked looking back at Chase with anger, "She trapped us in here."
"This isn't that impostor Twilight," Chase said with a calm demeanor, "This is the real Mi Amore Cadenza."
"And how can you be so sure Chase?" Twilight asked.
Chase looked at Cadence and nodded at her. She seemed to understand and, a little weakly, did the little dance and chant she taught Twilight when she was a filly. Twilight's eyes widened as she shook her rump and she smiled wide. Both mares hugged happily and Chase chuckled a single tear of joy rolling down his cheek.
"Oh it's been so long Twilight," Cadence said with a smile, "My how you've grown from the young filly I used to foalsit."
"Cadence..." Twilight said and looked back at Chase. "How did you know this was the real Cadence?"
Chase laughed as he wiped the tear from his cheek. "Well ask yourself this, Why would that impostor be down here with us if she wanted to keep us from meddling with her plans," Chase started and walked over to Cadence, "Besides," He looked at the Princess. "This Cadence has a kind look in her eyes unlike the monster that's walking around wearing the mask of a pony."
Cadence smiled at the human and hugged him, thanking him.
"No need now I want to ask you something." He said, wanting to clear and confirm his suspicions.
"Oh ok what do you need to ask?" she said a little nervous.
"What is that thing up there that is disguised as you? Is it a....." He trailed off but Cadence seemed to understand what he was asking.
"Yes it's a changeling." She said.
"Damnit then I was right, the changelings' are invading Canterlot," he growled.
"Why did you ask?" Twilight asked curious.
"Because the changeling impersonating Cadence is...." he hesitated.
"Is who?" both mares asked.
He looked at both of them before growling. "Their queen, Chrysalis." He said causing both mares to gasp. "But right now we can't worry about that because our number one priority is to get the hell out of here and stop Chrysalis from marrying Shining Armor."
With there plan set, Chase, Cadence, and Twilight set out to find a way to escape the crystal caverns. They ran through the caverns scanning it for any sign of an exit. Twilight saw a twinkle of light and smiled.
"This way guys." she said and ran off in that direction with both Chase and Cadence following close behind.
Chase looked worried as they ran for the exit. He kept hoping that they would be able to get to Shining Armor before Chrysalis put her plan into action and commenced the invasion. At one point Cadence stopped and sat on her haunches.
"We'll never get out of here," She said, tears starting to well up in her eyes. "I've been trapped here for weeks and I haven't found a way out yet. How are we going to escape now?"
Chase sighed and knelt next to the crying pink alicorn. "Listen Cadence," Chase said, putting a caring arm around her shoulders, "The reason we're going to escape now is because you have a friend and a soon to be sister-in-law who are going to do everything in their power, which is a lot by the way, to get you out of here and save your wedding."
Cadence looked at the determined human and nodded. She stood and, with a new drive adding heat to her fire, she dashed off in the direction of the light. Chase and Twilight followed closely to the princess with the same determination and grinned when they came to the exit.
"See Cadence," Chase said with a smirk, "Told you we'd find the exit and what the buck?"
Chase's confusion was met by three mares dressed as bridesmaids and he realized that they were the bridesmaids.
"Huh well what do you know guess she found a more productive way to use them." Chase said putting his hands on his hips.
The three brainwashed bridesmaids slowly approached the three saying 'You're not going anywhere' in unison. With a sigh and a snap of his fingers, Chase knocked all three of them out with a simple sleep spell. They collapsed to the floor and started snoring lightly. Chase grinned and looked at the two mares. With a nod all three of them escaped. Cadence smiled at her first rays of sunshine in weeks.
"Rejoice in freedom later princess," Chase said, "Right now we have a wedding to stop."
With a nod, Cadence, Chase, and Twilight ran in the direction of the castle and wedding. Chase looked up and saw a dark cloud above the barrier. Upon closer inspection he saw that it was a swarm of changelings continually bashing the barrier causing cracks.
Damnit this isn't good. Chase thought.
"Double Time Girls We Need To Get There NOW!" Chase said speeding up his pace.
Twilight and Cadence did the same and they saw the castle in view within five minutes. Chase grinned as they sped into the courtyard.
"So what's the plan?" Twilight asked as she ran next to Chase.
"Bust down the door, reveal Chrysalis, and kick some changeling ass." Chase said.
They ran down the hallway and saw the large doors that lead into the wedding. Chase heard the faint sound of Celestia asking if anypony had any reason why the couple should not be wed. Chase sped to the doors like a cheetah, leaped into the air and kicked open the doors gaining gasps from his friends, Celestia, 'Cadence', and everypony in the room as he landed gracefully.
"We have an objection Celestia." Chase said as Twilight entered the room.
"And that would be what exactly?" Celestia asked.
"That's not the real Mi Amore Cadenza." Twilight said and glared at the disguised queen.
She was about to say something against their allegations when Cadence walked into the room, another round of gasps sounding out.
"T-Two Mi Amore Cadenza's," AppleJack stuttered, "How can there be two of them?"
"Because," Chase said, his hands glowing their usual emerald glow, "That Cadence is a changeling, a creature that disguises itself as a loved one to feed off your love. And this changeling is special because," Chase pointed a finger at her. "That is their queen, isn't that right Chrysalis?"
All eyes turned to the 'bride' who started to laugh. She looked to the human with her eyes lingering over him before she started to change. Her form went from the alicorn princess to a changeling much taller than any normal changeling, with a long green mane and tail with a jagged horn sticking out of her head and what looked like a crown sticking from her mane.
"HA," Chase exclaimed, "Knew it from the very beginning you son of a bitch."
"Well your too late now because my changelings are already almost through with this fools barrier." She said with a chuckle. "And your added precautions won't do a thing because I already disabled them."
"Oh crap." Chase said as Celestia clashed horns with Chrysalis.
"I will not let you feed off the love of my subjects." She said.
She jumped into the air and shot a beam of golden aura at Chrysalis who countered with her own magic, both beams clashing in between. It seemed that Celestia would win as her aura started to inch to the changeling queen but with sudden strength she blasted Celestia's horn and sent her sprawling on the floor.
"Oh crap" Chase said as Chrysalis laughed.
"Apparently Shining's love is strong if I can beat Celestia" she laughed at her accomplishment.
Chase stood before Chrysalis, his hands glowing emerald as he glared at the queen. The girls walked up next to him.
"Girls, get the Elements of Harmony while I deal with this bitch." Chase said as he cracked his knuckles.
They nodded and ran out of the room leaving Chase and Chrysalis engaged in a standoff. Both of them were waiting for the other to slip up and make the first move. Chase decided to do so and charged at the changeling queen with the intention to kill. He got in front of her faster than she could react and swung his right fist up at her face. Three unexpected things happened at once. Shining's barrier shattered, changelings started to swarm the streets of Canterlot, and Chase was swarmed by changelings before he could strike her.
"RRRGH Fight Me Like A True Ruler," he yelled as he was dragged away from Chrysalis by the changelings, thrashing against them, "Fight Me Damnit!"
Chrysalis only laughed as he was slammed into the wall and restrained by some organic slime that kept him in place. A flood of curse words flowed from his mouth as he struggled against the slime. He witnessed as the changelings picked up the unconcious princess and put her in a cocoon made of the same slime that restrained him to the wall. He thought they were going to do the same with Cadence but instead they only restrained her hooves.
"Cadence why don't you do anything? She's going to destroy Canterlot and drain Shining to a husk of a loveless stallion." he asked.
"I," she began and hung her head "I can't she's too powerful for me. I can't defeat her."
Chase looked at the pink alicorn, who had a single tear run down her cheek. He continued to struggle against the organic restraints hoping to beat down some of the changelings before the girls got back with the elements. No sooner had he thought it that the doors opened with changelings 'escorting' the girls back into the room. He saw this and just looked shocked.
"Guess there were more than I thought." he said and hung his head in defeat.
He heard hooves clopping to him and he looked up to see Fluttershy stand before him with a sad look on her face and tears decorating her eyes. Chase has always thought that Fluttershy was a cute mare with the way she act and her personality but he loved her kind heart and her willingness to help him and her friends. He had started to develope feelings for her as the year passed. He has on more than one occasion tried to admit her feelings for her but backed out at the last possible minute. Since he was in a situation where he had nothing to loose he decided to tell Fluttershy how he felt.
"Don't cry Fluttershy," he said to the timid yellow pegasus putting on his best and bravest smile. "We'll figure out a way to get out of this."
"R-Really?" she asked wiping the tears with her hoof.
He nodded. "Besides I don't like seeing the mare I love cry, it just breaks my heart when you do."
Fluttershy looked at Chase with wide eyes at his confession. She opened her mouth to say something but closed it. She herself had developed feelings for Chase before and after the battle against Nightmare Moon but she had been afraid that if she said anything he'd reject her. But upon hearing that he shared the same feelings for her, her heart fluttered and she smiled at Chase.
"A-And I love you too Chase," she said, tears of joy forming. "I've loved you since I first met you."
Chase smiled at Fluttershy and did an inward sigh of relief upon hearing this.
"Oh that's great to hear," he said with enthusiasm, "I'd hug you but as you can see i'm kinda tied up."
"Oh well that doesn't mean I can't hug you." she said.
She floated up to him and wrapped her hooves around him and nuzzled his chest. Chase put his head on hers, feeling her mane against his face. Fluttershy felt Chase's heart race in excitement at her hug and she sighed in happiness at it. Chase looked up and saw the girls d'awing at the sight. Fluttershy broke the hug and looked Chase in the eye when a cackle came from Chrysalis.
"Isn't that cute, two fools in love." she said with a fake smile.
Chase glared and growled at Chrysalis his eyes giving off a faint glow of his aura. Chrysalis just laughed and walked to the open balcony singing. Chase saw Twilight sneak to Cadence and free her from the slime causing him to mentally face palm. With a thought and the emerald glow of his hands he freed himself from the slime just as Cadence freed Shining from the spell of the changeling. He shook his head and looked at his wife-to-be. Chase was relieved to see the real Shining Armor instead of a brainwashed idiot. Chrysalis turned but only cackled telling them that it was useless now.
"Uh actually there is one way." Chase said knowingly with a grin.
"And what would that be," Chrysalis asked, smirking, "You?"
Chase shook his head and looked at the couple who touched their horns together and unleashed the force of their combined magic, the magic of their love. Chase turned back to Chrysalis and said bye or in his words 'seeya later chryssy' before she and all her changelings were sent flying out of Canterlot by a wave of strong magic. Chase brushed himself off before turning to the couple.
"And that is why I say love is the strongest kind of emotion." Chase said with a smile before he walked to the cocoon that held Celestia.
He cut Celestia down and got her out of the cocoon. She coughed and looked up at the human. Chase smiled and helped her to her hooves.
"Thank you Chase for freeing me." Celestia said nodding to Chase.
"No problem Celestia." Chase said brushing some slime off her coat.
Chase felt something tug at his shirt. He turned and saw the mare of his dreams look up at him with a smile and tears of joy. He kneeled and hugged Fluttershy. Chase broke the hug just as Shining Armor and Cadence approached him.
"I want to thank you and Twilight for saving my wife and the wedding," He said and held up a hoof, "And I want to apologize for not believing the both of you."
"Oh think nothing of it Shining." Chase said and shook his hoof. "She had everypony, even Celestia, fooled by her facade. But hey this just means that you can do the wedding the way you want it."
Shining and Cadence smiled at him.
"Well we still need extra security and a best mare." shining said looking at Chase and Twilight who agreed.
The wedding went off without a hitch the second time and this time Chase and Twilight got to attend. Chase stood next to Fluttershy and smiled as Celestia declared Cadence and Shining a married couple. He clapped with enthusiasm as they kissed and leaned down giving Fluttershy a kiss of her own to which she returned it. They moved the wedding to the reception where the couple had their first dance.
"So I guess you and Fluttershy are gonna be a couple sugar cube." Applejack said.
"I guess so." he said with a smile as ponies started to accompany the newly wedded couple on the dance floor.
He felt Fluttershy pull on his arm and pulled him to the dance floor. Once on the dance floor, Fluttershy stood on her hind legs and wrapped her forelegs around Chase's stomach. Chase put his hands on Fluttershy's back and slowly started to dance with her, the two of them an odd pair on the dance floor but they didn't really care what anypony said because they were in love.
"I love you Fluttershy," Chase said happy to finally get those words out of his mouth after so long. "I want to be your special somepony if you'll have me."
"Yes Chase," Fluttershy said looking up at him, "You can be my special somepony."
They both smiled just as Pinkie stood at the turn tables and shouted 'Let's Get This Party Started' before bringing up Vinyl who brought out a record and turned up the jams. Chase smiled and picked up Fluttershy, holding her close as he spun her around before putting his forehead to hers. The night ended with Cadence and Shining Armor entering a carriage and heading off to their honeymoon. With that the royal wedding ended with a happy note. Shining Armor and Cadence were wedded, Twilight gained a new member of her family that she loved, and Chase and Fluttershy finally admitted their feelings to each other. Little did Chase know that he would face the changelings again but this time more than Canterlot would be at stake. Much more.
