War has sparked for the first time in hundreds of years in Equestria. The Griffon Kingdom, overthrown by the military dictator, General Sergei, has amassed an army the size of which has never been seen before to spread a wrath of destruction and the ultimate purging of all ponies from Equestria. Now, on the losing stages of the war, Equestria calls upon a new group of heroes. Griffons that have recieved advanced training and augmentations and have commited themselves and their lives to fighting for the ponies of Equestria. These are the griffons of the Black Wings program, headed by Royal Equestrian Navy Fleet Admiral Rainbow Dash. And Sierra Team is the most elite among them. Trained for the most dangerous of objectives and tasked with missions most of Equestria would deem suicide; these few griffons are the only thing standing between victory and annihalation.
