He stepped up next to her and dropped the papers in a neat pile in front of her. “Please read through this real quick and tell me what you think.” She gave him an agreeable nod as she picked up the pile and started to read over it.
He couldn’t keep himself from grinning as he watched her expression turn into one of disgust. He knew he had little time, so he quickly pulled out the bottle of chloroform, uncorked it, and soaked the handkerchief with it, having it ready to go just as the infuriated Velvet sat up and exclaimed, “What is the meaning of this!?”

She crossed her eyes forward to glance over her snout to see what the cause was, and noticed the tips of some duct tape at the corners of her vision.
