So much pain. Not enough to make him want to die, but still. It felt like a herd of cows had ran over him. His body ached all over. After a while his pain began to lessen, making it easier to focus. He now noticed he heard sounds. Strangely familiar, like a memory from long, long ago. What was it again? 'Voices? Yes, voices. But that would mean... They are back?! They finally found me! But... I can't understand what they are saying. It has been so long since I heard another voice. I never started talking to myself, which must be why I can't understand them. And the voices aren't familiar either. Maybe if I stand up from this be-AAGH!' The last part of his thoughts were accidently said out loud, startling the others in the room. "He's waking up! Do you think we might be able to communicate with him? Maybe he can talk!" 'At least I remember enough to know that voice belongs to a female. An excited one at that. What were they called again? Girls?' He tried opening his eyes, but the light hurted his eyes, closing them again. He tried covering his eyes with his right hand, but it hurt too much to move. "Calm down dear. Calm down. Can't you see he's in a lot of pain? He's still recovering from whatever hurt him so bad!" 'That's a guy, that's for sure. He sounds a bit worried. I wish I knew what they were saying, but I only know how to say three names : Notch, Herobrine and my own. The first of them bringing up good memories. The second bringing up bad memories. Herobrine... He ruined everything. Took away everything I held dear. But maybe things are finally looking up?' "You're right. But I'm just so excited! A new species! And an intelligent one at that!" The girl sounded really excited. The pain his body was going away. It still felt like he was attacked by multiple zombies, but he had been in far worse conditions. 'Maybe I can stand up now? I hope so. I don't want to be stuck in my bed again, like that time I wondered if zombie flesh would taste good.' He moved his legs to the side of the bed and tried to sit up. His muscles felt like they were on fire and to make things worse, he fell out of the bed, making him hiss in pain. ''Damnit!' "Oh my gosh! Are you allright?!" The girl again. Now she sounded worried too. He rolled over and placed his hands on the ground, pushing himself away from the ground. He leaned on the bed for support and finally managed to stand up. "Amazing! He's bipedal! He actually looks a lot like a chimpansee!" The guy now sounded more fascinated then worried. He opened his eyes again. He was now more accustomed to the bright light, but he didn't expect to have two big purple eyes behind iron bars right in front of him. He yelled in surprise and fell backwards onto the bed. "I think you scared him, Twilight." And now the guy sounded amused. 'No creature I know has eyes like that!' He sat up slowly to see to who or what the eyes belonged to. It looked like a creeper. No, more like a pastel colored cow. That's the closest I can compare to... This.' In front of him stood a purple colored quadruped with dark hair with a pink streak ontop of it's head and it's tail looked a lot like it. It's eyes were the same color as it's coat. There was also this funny pointy thing sticking out of it's head. It looked at him with wonder and worry. "Can you understand me?" The words came out of the creatures mouth. 'Wait, hold on... What? The people I heard, are actually these... things?! What the heck?!' He raised an eyebrow and slowly moved towards the girl (at least, he thinks it's a girl). "Can. You. Under. Stand. Me." The girl slowly said, making gestures to make things clearer. 'I think she's trying to talk to me. Too bad I can't understand her, or understand any of hee movements. Looks kinda cute actually.' He smiled at the sight while shaking his head. She looked surprised and a bit dejected at the same time. "Smart guy. He knows you're trying to communicate with him, but he doesn't understand what you're saying. He's a lot more intelligent than I originally thought." That was the guy again. His voice came from behind the girl. Behind the girl stood a similair creature, only this was probably a guy, was wearing a doctor's vest, had a white coat, brown hair and tail and green eyes. "It was at least worth a try... Maybe we should inform Princess Celestia that he woke up ! She'll be happy to meet him!" 'Whatever they are talking about, the girl seems a lot happier now. Wonder what's going on? For that matter, where am I?' That thought hadn't even crossed his mind once. He closed his eyes to check up on his inventory. 'One stone sword, flint and steel, a few diamonds, a iron pickaxe, a wooden axe, two ender pearls, an empty bucket, a book and quill, one-and-a-half stack of wooden planks and one potion of healing. If I ever wanted go get out of here, I have enough materials with me.' "I think that would be the best thing to do right now. Maybe she can help us too!" 'Why are both of them suddenly so happy?' When the girl turned around, he gave her a confused look. She just smiled sheepishly and waved at him. He didn't know what he should have done else, so he waved back. And the two creatures left, leaving him alone. He still felt weak and thought it was better to stay here while his strength is returning. He concentrated on the book and quil and suddenly a grey mist flew out of his body into his hands, turning into a book and quill. He started writing what had happened so far, just to clear his mind. '...and that about sums up what I know so far and can remember. I don't think these creatures mean any harm, but I wish I could understand them better. I must stop writing know. I hear them returning.' The book and quill turned into mist again and went into his body again, just as the two from before entered the room again, another similair, but taller creature following them. What is it?As she walked into the room, Twilight was allmost prancing from excitement. The creature had awoken, it was probably just as intelligent as she was, it knew basic communication and it was an entirely new species! How could she not be excited? 'Calm down Twilight, no need to get overexcited... But it's so difficult not to!' While Twilight was having a fight with her own thoughts, Celestia had walked over to the cage which held the creature. The cage was anything but small. It was originally desinged to hold newborn Hydras. So the cage was almost a room on it's own. She quickly moved over, the schoolfilly in her allmost taking over. "So, what is it?" Twilight's excitement faltered a bit at that question, because of the small amount of information she had regarding that part. The creature looked mostly like it was a more advanced primate. It was around two meters tall. The only hair it had was a messy brown mane and a messy short beard. It wore a set of clothes, probably to protect itself from extreme weather conditions, which consisted out of a dirty light blue tee shirt and dirty dark blue pants. It even wore some dirty brown shoes. Even though it wore clothes, it's muscles were clearly visible, like he breaks stone for a living, making it seem like a he. But the most amazing thing about him were his eyes. His eyes were a lively light blue and full of intelligence. A long story short: "I honestly don't know." She answerred bluntly. "He looks like a bit like a hairless primate. Maybe he evolved from primates over a long period of time?" "That's a possible explanation. Have you tried asking him?" Celestia said, completely oblivious to the confused look on the creature's face. "We tried talking to him, but he doesn't understand our language." Profesor Bright Eye said. "He did seem to know we were talking, and made it clear that he didn't understand us. Also funny, he walks on his hind legs." "That's too bad. I hoped the two of you had a bit more information. It seems I was wrong." "B-b-but P-p-princess! W-we... I-i..." Twilight was panicking, to put it softly. "Calm down Twilight. I was only teasing you. You did fine." Celestia said while smiling, making Twilight sigh in relief. "Well, I think the first thing we should do is find out what he eats. We don't want to starve him to death." Bright said. "But I doubt he will tell us himself. But this should be easy. We just pick out multiple kinds of food and place it in front of him. The hardest thing to do would be researching his behavior and instincts." "Remember Bright, he's not some kind of test subject. He's a sentient creature just like us, and we should treat him as one." Twilight said matter-of-factly. "I know, I know. But we can't talk to him so we have to find things out one way or another." Bright walked of together with Celestia to get some food, while Celestia would continue her duties. "True." Twilight said, before she was left alone with the creature. 'I have honestly no clue what they are talking about. But what I'd give for some food right now.' Now almost all the pain had dissapeared, he noticed how hungry he was. His stomach confirmed the fact with a loud rumbling. 'I wonder if these creatures taste good... No! Bad mind! These creatures are sentient! And... Where did the guy and the big one go? And what is the girl doing?' The girl was pointing at herself and repeating a word over and over again. It reminded him of the time he tried telling his name to a zombie pigmen... 'Of course! She's telling me her name!' "Twi. Light." She said. 'Let's see.' "Twili?" She started beaming after his attempt, and she started nodding furiously. 'It's been a while since I have talked. I almost forgot what my voice sounds like!' "Twi light. Twilight." "Twilight?" She was litterally bouncing up and down when he said her name. 'Twilight... Maybe, she could teach me how to talk again! Wait, now she's pointing at me? Maybe she wants to know my name? What was it again? Steff? No. Stephano? Nope. Stephan? Nah. Steve... That was it! Steve! It's been so long since I got to use my name again!' "Name. You." "Steve." His name was Steve. "Steve." His name was Steve. He told her his name. He told her, his name. 'He told me his name.' Twilight was amazed at the progress she was making. "He told me his name!" She started bouncing up and down again, Steve looking at her with a mildly amused look on his face. "Oops... Heh." She stopped bouncing and looked for something, or nothing, while feeling rather awkward. "Uuhhh... I'm gonna... Uuuhhhh.... Oh, what the hay. You can't understand me anyway." She walked away, hoping to get away from the awkward situation. 'It's just like that one time I told The CMC how I got my cutie mark. I couldn't stop saying yes. Boy, was that awkward. 'Twilight... Huh. Sounds like a nice name. But I should really get some food. Maybe I can get out of this cage?' He walked over to one of the sides and grabbed one of the bars, checking it's strength. 'Solid metal, grade two, able to withstand explosions. That sure is strong metal.' He has allways been an expert in judging the strength of objects. A mist flew out of him into his hand, forming into an iron pickaxe. 'Now let's see how strong it really is.' With a smile at the corner of his mouth, he slammed the pickaxe into the bars. The forcebehind the blow itself allready cracked the bars. After a few more hits he had removed one square meter of bars. The bars turned into mist and entered his body, adding to his inventory. It wasn't long before he had made a hole big enough for him to walk through. 'Too easy.' Interaction. He looked around the corner to see if there was anyone in the hallway. 'Empty. Good.' He continued walking and studied the walls. He had never seen a stone as white as what the walls were made of. And there were so many objects which he had never seen before. A woolen cover for the floor! Colored glass panes! Even a collection of torches on a metal construction hanging from the ceiling! 'Why didn't I think of that? It would have spared me a lot of boredom.' He kept repeating the process of checking and sneaking, sometimes having to hide. But his efforts were rewarded. He smelled food. And boy, did it smell good. 'That smells amazing! Whatever food that is, it has to taste good!' He followed the scent and shortly after he reached a door. With two of those creatures in front of it. 'Damnit. I can't sneak past them, I'm allmost twice as big as them! How am I getting in that room now?!' To make things even more difficult, they were wearing full sets of armor. No way he was going to get past them without a fight. 'Maybe I should just go back. Maybe they will bring me some food later on. I mean, they aren't going to starve me to death, right? Now let's go before I get caught.' But fate disagreed with him. When he turned around he tripped over one of those woolen covers, stumbling and knocking something over. It fell and broke with a lot of noise. 'Maybe these things aren't so usefull after all.' "Who goes there?" He heard one of those creatures walk closer to him. 'Crap. Well, only one thing left to do.' He got up and ran back the way he came. 'Run like The Wither himself is after you.' "Halt!" The creatures were right behind him, slowly catching up with him. 'So much for a nice meal. And I don't want to fight!' He kept running, but the hunger slowed him down. 'I'm not gonna make it!' He thought, before getting hit in the back. The hit made him stumble and fall flat on his face. 'Okay, that's it. If it can't go the easy way, let's go for the hard way.' He got up and faced the creatures. Instead of the two he expected, there were now six of them. All in armor and with coat. The only difference was that half of them had wings and the other half horns. One of the horned ones charged at him. 'Gotcha.' He sidestepped and drove his elbow in the spot between the helmet and the chestplate resulting with a loud crack and thud, slamming the creature into the ground. It groaned in pain and tried to get up again, but to no avail. He had probably hit the spine, a weak spot for allmost every creature. He faced the group again, just in time for a buck in the chest. 'So you're next huh?' He grabbed the creatures tail and pulled it towards him, giving him the opportunity to grab it's head. He took the helmet and placed it in his inventory, before giving the creature a headbutt. He had used this multiple times on Creepers, because it confuses them and delays their explosion. The creature got knocked out and before Steve could do something he felt something hit him in the back. Hard. He fell over and looked back to see another one of those creatures. Only this one was different. This one was taller, clearly stronger and had blue hair and a blue tail. 'Can't I get a break?!' He thought before getting up and facing the creature. He charged at it, attempting to punch it in the face. But the creature simply sidestepped, making him stumble past the creature. It then rammed into him, sending him into the wall. 'I've got enough of this!' He took out his axe and swung the blunt side sideways toward the creature, only missing by an inch. He swung his axe upward, now hitting the creature in the chest. He the swung it downwards, hitting the ground and cracking it. 'How do you like th-' *Thud* He got bucked square in the chest. "What are you two doing?!" 'Whoever that is, she sounds angry. Damnit.' Shining Armor was checking up on the guards, to see if they weren't slacking of. He had only caught one of them doing that. It was the new one, Sharp Shot. He was the the best non-unicorn archer around, and a decent flyer too. But he wasn't used to the tight and rough schedules of the guards. 'Can't blame him. Sometimes even I have trouble with these schedules. It's tough, but needed.' He was near the cooking area of the castle when he heard a yell. "Halt!" 'Ugh. What now?' He walked towards the sound before he heard a loud *thud*. "What is going on..." He stopped midsentence when he laid his eyes on the scene before him. The guards were fighting the creature Swift Kick found a few days ago. And it was winning. One of the guards lay on the ground, clearly in a lot of pain, while another guard was getting a headbutt, getting knocked out cold. Shining charged at the creature and shot a blast of magic at it's back, making it fall over. It got up and faced him. The creature looked strong. Really strong. 'Can't I get a break?!' The creature then stood up and charged at him, attempting to hit him in the face. He sidestepped and then rammed himself into the creature. 'Oh, come on. I expected... better?' His mind stopped when he saw a white mist come out of the creature and fly into it's claw, forming into an axe. 'How in Equestria did he do that?!' He stepped back just before the axe could hit him in the head. The creature was using the blunt side of the axe, so it apparently didn't want to kill him. 'Maybe he's smarter then I-' *Thunk* He got hit square in the chest. He managed to dodge the next blow, the force of the blow created a big crack in the floor. 'Does it break rocks for a living?!' He then bucked the creature, making it stumble again. "What are you two doing?!" 'Uh-oh.' AN: I hope this chapter added some nice action. A free hug for the first one who guesses who that last voice is! And the winner is: Mrbourkec! One heck of a day."What are you two doing?!" Cadence was in a bad mood, to put it softly. "First, these stuck up snobs ruin my day with their whining about 'how bad their servants are'" She said in a snobbish and stuck up voice "and about 'how annoying those birds are' and then I find YOU fighting with... whatever he is!" She pointed at the creature, which actually looked more confused than anything else. "Just what is wrong with everypony?!" And it wasn't only this day those snobs ruined her day. It had been like that for the past three weeks. "And now we're at it, what are you anyway?!" She flew up into the creatures face and started poking him in the chest. Now it seemed even more confused. "Are you going to answer me or what?" Still confused. "Um, Cadence? I-" But she cut Shining off. "Answer me! Or are you too stupid to talk?" 'Whatever she's talking about, she could probably use a break.' Steve felt a bit uneasy about the girl yelling at him, but he was also a bit amused. 'I haven't had this much action since... a long time.' "Cadence, I don't think he understands a thing of what you're saying." The guy said. Maybe he could calm the girl down. "Why didn't you say so earlier?!" "You wouldn't listen. And if you don't mind, I need to bring him back to his... cage. Wait, what?!" The guy looked confused. "How did he actually get out of that cage?! It's designed to hold baby Hydras!" 'Can someone please help me learn how to speak! It's getting pretty anoying!' He thought, frustrated with the fact that he apparently is the only one who can't talk. "I'll ask Twilight about it. Maybe she knows how he got out of the cage. And you should probably take a nice rest." The guy finished, suddenly pulling Steve along. 'But I wan't my food!' He tried to resist the pull untill he noticed he wasn't standing on the ground anymore. 'What?!' He looked at his legs and noticed he was surrounded by a purple glow. 'No fair! He can do whatever it is he's doing, and I can't even talk! And now I sound like a whiny little kid. Ugh.' They continued walking towards the room where he stayed, getting a few confused looks here and there. When they reached the room, he could hear Twilight panick about something. "... impossible! There is no way he could have broken the bars!" 'Yep, she's panicking. Probably about me escaping. Which is apparently a really big deal.' "Well, how else did he get out?" The labcoat guy again. 'He sounds a bit less worried, but still. Maybe I should refrain from escaping for a while.' He thought, thinking how everyone would react to him escaping everyday. "I take it you're talking about him?" The white guy said. 'I should really come up with better names.' The white guy enterred the room, bringing Steve in too. "Where did you find him?! When did you find him?! Do you know he litterally broke out the cage?!" 'Sheesh! She looks even more stressed then that pink girl! Yep, no escapades for me anymore.' Twilight's left eye was twitching and her right ear was flopping franticly. "Calm down Twiley. I found him in the food area fightin the guards, winning. And I hoped you knew how he escaped. And did you know he can use magic?" "Really?" 'Talk about mood shifts. First she's as stressed as a zombie at day, and now she's calm as a sheep. What's up with that?' "Yep. See that axe he's holding? First some kind of mist came out of his body, flew into his hand and turned into an axe." The white guy said, pointing at Steve's axe. "That's amazing! I've never heard of magic like that! So he can conjure up anything he wants?" Twilight seemed get more excited with the moment. "I don't think that's how it works." The labcoat guy said, walking forward. "If he really wanted to escape he could have chosen a much more powerdull weapon. But he didn't do that, or did he? So my guess is that he can only store away a certain amount of objects and use them whenever he wants." 'Translator please! I can't understand you guys! And what's so interesting about my axe?' "So he might be carrying a lot more items with him?" Twilight mused. "Most likely, yes. And shouldn't you be placing him back in the cage?" The labcoat guy said, pointing at Steve. Suddenly Steve floated inside the still broken cage and was released from the grip. 'Back at square one. I guess this isn't needed right now.' He stored the axe in his inventory again, getting a dissaproving look from Twilight. 'What?' Steve looked at Twilight with a confused look. She walked over to Steve, holding out her hoof. "Hoof them over." She said strictly, hoping Steve would get the message. He looked from her hoof to his hand before sighing. He apparently got the message and a lot of mist came from his body, flying past Twilight and turning into a big pile of items. She stared slack-jawed at all the items. A wooden axe, a diamond, an empty bucket, quite a few wooden planks and a strange green orb. It was a lot more then what she expected. "That's... a lot of stuff. And he was carrying all of this with him?" 'This is amazing! To think that it's possible to store this many items away with magic! Bit it didn't look like any magic I've ever seen before...' Her thoughts were interrupted by herself yawning. She looked out the window and saw the sun setting. "All things considered, this was one heck of day." She said. "No kidding." 'I hope she doesn't find out I didn't give her everything, I don't like giving my stuff to others. Apparently, these creatures can't store items away like I can. But it sure was one heck of a day.... Wait a minute... Day?! It was allready day when I woke up! How can it still be day? Days only last seven minutes! And that means if a day lasts that long, how long would night last?! Ugh, this is bad. REALLY, really bad.' A Long Night.Steve was anxiously waiting in his room for day to come and Shining Armor was taking Twilight to the first doctor he could find, but what was happening in the rest of Equestria? In Ponyville... It was almost midnight and it was raining. Hard. The town was quiet. The lights were out. Everypony was asleep. Well, almost everypony. Pinkie Pie always stayed up late, and got up early. Tonight was no exception. She was a bit sleepy, but right now she was enjoying a nice, warm and fresh apple pie. "Delicious!" She said with her mouth full of pie, crumbs flying through the room. "Applejack's apple pies are the best! Well, maybe not as good as Granny Smith's, but still!" Not much later, the poor apple pie was completely and utterly devoured by the pink pony. Suddenly, a white flash of light came from outside. *BOOM!* "Wow! Dashie and the other weather ponies sure did their best!" Another flash. *BOOM* "That one was reeeaaallly close. I hope it didn't wake the Cakes up!" She was about to walk up the stairs when her 'Pinkie Sense' started acting up. "Hmmm... Ear flutter, twitchy tail, double eye twitch, itchy back and shaky knee. Never had a combo like that before!" She looked around to see if anything would happen, but everything looked the same. "Nopony woke up, I think. Nothing fell, all doors are closed, nothing broke, there's something at the window... Nope! Nothing happened!" ... ... "Why is there something at the window?" She walked towards the window to see what it was. It was taller than she was and it stood with it's back facing the window. "Huuurrrgggg..." Whatever it was, it was hungry or was in pain. "Or maybe it wants a hug!" Her 'Pinkie Sense' started again. "Same combo?" "Rhaagggll...?" It turned to face her and began to walk towards her, walking into the wall. "You're supposed to use the door, not the window! You're silly!" "Rhhaaagh!" It said angrily and began stomping the window. "Hey! You'll break it! That's not-" Another flash, making it able to see the creature properly. It had two white, lifeless eyes, it had no visible hair, it wore ragged shirt and pants, it's skin was a sickening green, there were wounds all over it's body, showing red, bloody flesh and walked on two legs, it's front legs punching the window. "-nice..." Her eyes went wide and she took a few shaky steps back. She didn't know what it was, and she didn't care. She justed wanted that... thing to go away. "Raagh!" It's punches became more violent and stronger, already cracking the glass. It wouldn't be long or the window would- *Crash* -break. The thing started crawling inside, cutting itself badly on the glass shards. "Hargl... Graa! Hggg..." The sounds it made, made it sound like it was in terrible pain, but by the looks of it, it didn't really care. The thing made another series of moans and growls, and she could make out one thing. "Graaargll... Fhhooooddd..." Pinke ran away from the thing, hiding in the kitchen and closing the door. "HELP! ANYPONY HELP!" She screamed, sitting in the corner, holding a metal plate close to her. "GraaaAAGH!" *Bonk* *Bonk* "HELP!" Pinkie was sure she had never been so afraid in her entire life. Sure, she had beaten Nightmare Moon. Sure, she helped beat Discord. Sure, she faced an entire changeling army without even thinking about fear. She had even tried fighting a Manticore. But all those moments shared one thing that this moment didn't have: her friends were with her each time. And this time she was all alone. To make things even worse, it's eyes were devoid of emotion. The thing only showed one feeling: Hunger. "PLEASE!" She could hear the first ponies wake up to her screams. They sounded confused. *Bonk* *Crack* The first cracks started apearing on the door, bulging under the creatured strength. *Bonk* *Bonk* *Crack* "HELP!" *Bonk* *Crack* *Bonk* "Please!" *CRASH* The door broke in half, the creature storming inside. "PLEASE!" The creature stormed at her, obviously with murderous intent. "GRAAAGH!" "NO!" *THUNK* *CRACK* And then everything went quiet, leaving the ponies that had woken up in a state of worry and confusion. "Pinkie?" Miss Cake said, slowly walking down the stairs, heading for the kitchen. The door was completely smashed in half. "Pinke, dear? Are you all-" When she looked inside, the sight momentarily silenced her. "-right... Oh dear." At Applejack's farm... Everypony at the farm was sound asleep. Granny Smith was snoring loudly, but everypony just slept through it. Yes, everypony was asleep, untill something happened. *BOOM* The sound woke Applejack up and that didn't help brighten her mood at all. "Gosh darnit! Ah jus want ta sleep after a hard day of work! Is that too much ta ask?" *BOOM* Another crash of thunder. But this time, there was no flash of light. And it sounded a lot more like a normal explosion. "What in tarnation? Fireworks?! If ah catch somepony playing with fireworks in mah orchard..." She got out of bed and grabbed her hat, placing it ontop of her head. She went downstairs and opened the backdoor. When she was outside, she noticed there were no sounds at all, except for the rain and the occasional thunder. Something wasn't right. Normally, there were at least a few critters running around and making noises, but there were no animals to be seen. "If ah git mah hooves on that pony, ah'll give im a piece of mah mind!" She walked into the orchard towards the source of the explosion. Everything was quiet. Too quiet. It made her uncomfortable and jumpy, making her jump at every sound. "Stupid storm..." She muttered to herself. She noticed the smell of smoke as she got close to where she thought the explosion came from. It was just outside the orchard, near the Everfree Forest. "Now where the hay is that pony..." She looked around and soon found the place where the explosion had taken place. And it looked horrible. There was a crater the size of two ponies and the remains of what was once a Timberwolf was spread around it, together with green clumps of... something. It's body was completely torn to pieces, green liquid covering the pieces. This wasn't done by fireworks. No, this was intentional. Somepony intended to kill the Timberwolf, but why? "What the hay?" She slowly walked forward and noticed another body. This was also a Timberwolf, but it's hind legs and half of it's back was blown of, green liquid flowing out of the gaping wound. There was a trail of green liquid behind the body, as if it was dragged along. It took all her willpower to stop herslef from throwing up at the sight. "Why would somepony do this? It makes no sense!" If it was done by a pony, she would have been right. Earlier... *Pant* *Pant* Something was chasing the Timberwolves. It wanted them dead. Badly. The Timberwolves stopped to turn towards the silent killer. "Grrrr..." The taller of the two growled at the creature. The thing just turned it's head towards the Timberwolf, it's empty, soulless eyes staring into the Timberwolves eyes. It suddenly stopped moving confusing the two Timberwolves. At first it just stood there, staring at the Timberwolves intently, it's face stuck in a soundless scream. It took one step forward, and althought it was almost twice as tall as a pony, it didn't make a sound. "Grrrr...." The Timberwolves growled at the green thing again. It then suddenly shot forward, practicly launching itself at the Timberwolves. It's skin started to swell and move outwards and bright white light started coming from his mouth and eyes. *BOOM* The creature exploded, part of it's body flying through the air and blowing the two Timberwolves up. One of them was completely torn to shreds while the other lost half of it's body. The latter survived the explosion, dragging itself away from the crater. The present... "It makes no sense!" She started walking back, moving away from the horrible scene. When she stepped on a branch and snapping it, she started running. Running like a manticore was on her tail. And all the while a creature just as dangerous had watched everything. "Heh. Wut strange creaturs are aroind these parts. This might turn oit to be a lut uf fun." It said with a very thick accent. It poked the creature it was sitting on with it's bow. "Oi, Mandy. Whaddaya say we guh back to oir cave." "Shrii." The other creature said, turning around and walking deeper into the forest. "Gut. Cuz we hav sum preparing ta do." The first creature said, it's red glowing eyes growing brighter with excitement. Cantelot City... Sharp Shot, a seventeen year old white pegasus with a bow as his cutie mark and with green mane and tail, liked being a guard, but he hated it when he was supposed to do night shifts. Especially at the city walls. And that's exactly what he's doing right now. "Ugh... There are almost no spots where I can take a quick n- I mean, break!" He really hoped captain Shining Armor wasn't around when he said that. When nopony reacted to him he sighed. "I'm bored. Nothing exciting ever happens around here!" He yelled, angrily flapping his wings. And just then, the air started pulsing and trembling in front of him. "What in the hay?" He walked towards the spot where the air started acting up. He was about to poke the air when a long black claw attached to a long black came out of the air, grabbing the ground. A purple glow started coming from the limb and another long claw followed. Not much later a long black creature with long legs and purple glowing eyes stood in front of him. The creature was at least three meters tall. It looked at him, tilting it's head as if it was curious. "S-stay away! I'll shoot you!" He grabbed hos bow with his wings and place an arrow on it, pointing it at the tall creature. It took a step towards him and reached out to him with it's long, black claws. "Stop!" He released his grip on the arrow, shooting it at what he assumed was the creature it's torso. As soon as it had hit the creature, it squinted it's eyes in anger and it's eyes started glowing a blood red. It grabbed the arrow, pulled it out and then crushed it in it's claw. It opened his mouth and screamed. "IIIAAAGGGH!!!" It sounded like a fork scraping over a plate, only fifty times worse. And to his horror, he could see through the back of it's mouth, because there was no back in it's mouth. "Buck it! I'm out of here!" He started running for his life with the creature following him closely, forgetting he could fly away. "HELP!" He shouted, his voice cracking. "ANYPONY, HELP!" He kept running and turned a corner, bumping into Swift Kick. He stumbled back a few steps, franticly looking back and forth between the creature and Swift. "Geez! Watch where you're going! And what's with all the screaming?" Swift said. "No time to explain! RUN!" He ran past Swift, leaving the brown pegasus in a state of annoyance. "What the hay are you talking about?!" But Sharp wasn't even paying attention anymore. "Grough!" "Wha-" Before Swift could finish talking, a long black claw slammed into his side, sending him flying a good four meters. "The hay are you?!" "Growaag!" It stormed at him when an arrow zoomed past him, hitting the creature in the chest. "Agck!" Another arrow followed hitting it in the left eye. "Guuuooowg!" The creature grabbed it's head in pain. It then started glowing and dissapeared. Swift looked behind him to see Sharp Shot walk towards him. "What the hay is going on!" Swift yelled furiously. A Red Morning.Sugarcube corner... "It's alright Pinkie. It's gone. It can't hurt you anymore." Miss Cake said, trying to calm Pinkie down. She had to admit, Pinkie was staying rather calm considering what had happened. When she had walked into the kitchen after hearing Pinkie scream, she found Pinkie sitting in the corner next to that... thing. The poor dear was scared out of her mind and wouldn't stop shaking. And her mane was completely deflated too. "I-I-I killed i-i-it. I h-had to. I-I-I w-was so scahahaaaa!" Pinkie broke out in tears and buried her face in Miss Cake's shoulder. She had never seen Pinkie like this. Sure, she had seen Pinkie cry now and then and she had seen her scared, but never like this. But she couldn't blame her. "It's okay Pinkie. Don't worry." She looked at the kitchendoor and thought about how the creature had broken through it. It must have been really strong to be able to break the door in half like that. She took a look at the creature and the sight made her want to throw up. It skin was a sick dark green and it had no visible hair. It's front legs ended in stubby claws. It wore a blood covered blue shirt and a pair of blood covered dark blue pants. It's eyes were a misty white, with no visble irises or pupils. It's teeth were yellow and rotten. It body was missing chunks of flesh all over. And the smell. Oh the smell. 'Smells like a corpse that has been dug up after being buried for a week.' She mentally gagged at the thought. There also was a clear dent on the creatures head. 'That must be where Pinkie had hit it.' 'It's gone. It can't hurt you. You're safe now.' She kept repeating those phrases in her mind, trying to calm herself down. But it didn't help. Not at all. She just wanted her friends. She needed them. To many she might seem like she didn't have a care in the world, but that's not true. Although on the outside she was happy and energetic, there were quite a few times where she was troubled, worried or sad on the inside. And only her friends and the Cakes knew. And right now, she just wanted her friends to be here. 'Why aren't they here yet?' "Pinkie? Are you in there?" And there was her answer. And soon enough a white unicorn with a messy purple mane walked in, immediatly rushing to Pinkie. "Thank Celestia you're okay. I could hear you scream all the way to my house! What happ-" But she was interupted by Pinkie hugging her. "-ened." Rarity returned the hug and noticed Pinkie's face was all wet. "Have you been crying?" Pinkie nodded. "Why?" Pinkie pointed at something next to them. Rarity looked at the spot, her eyes widening with shock. "AAAAAHHH!" Rainbow Dash's house... Rainbow Dash was enjoying a nice sleep. Her bed was one of the most comfortable beds around. Well, it would be, if there wasn't so much stuff on her bed. She knew she should clean up, but she just didn't feel like it. And she saw no need for it either. Why would she clean up, if she wasn't bothered by all the stuff in her room? Her friends would come up with numerous reasons why she should clean up, but she just brushed those reasons of. "Glaarglll..." The noise didn't annoy her at first, "Gruuhk..." But after hearing it a few times, "Grooog..." It became really annoying. "Huuoorg..." She buried her head under her pillow, but it didn't help. "Waarrglaa..." She became more annoyed everything that moaning came. "Higglooo..." "ENOUGH!" She yelled at the top of her lungs and flew outside to see what had interupted her sleep. But she sure didn't expect a tall creature on two legs, limping forward slowly. She flew down to get a better look, but it was too dark. "What the hay are you?" She flew up in it's face,q and immediatly regretted it. 'This thing smells like a dead wolf in August! Yagh!' She instinctly flew back a bit, and just in time too. The thing suddenly swung it's left front leg at her. "Gworg!" It started limping towards her. It went quite a bit faster now, but far from fast enough to catch her. "Huh? What's wrong? You too slow?" She mocked, but it didn't seem to bother the creature. It just kept following her, waving it's front legs at her. She stopped for a moment to let the creature catch up. And at that moment it suddenly stormed at her. She had quick reflexes and the creatures claws only scratched her left wing. "Okay, maybe you're not that slow." She flew just out of it's reach. Partly to stay safe and partly to mess with it. "Grrrlllll..." It swung again, missing her by a long shot, and it fell over. But she didn't expect the creatures claws to punch through the ground? Whatever this thing was, it was intent on killing her. "Hey! Calm down will you!" She only now noticed the way it moved. It moved like it's muscles were stiff and it's bones ready to break. Like a zombie, from one of those comics. It even made the same noises. "GwwuuuuUURG!" It suddenly jumped upwards, and grabbed her tail. It pulled her down and slammed her into the ground. She tried to fly up again, but it grabbed her left hind leg and pulled her towards it. She kicked it with her free leg and she was sure she heard a loud crack. She then felt something wet fall on her. "Shhllaarrr..." It flinched and seemed to pause for a moment. She looked up to it's face, the first rays of sunlight revealing what it looked like. It's skin was green and it's eyes we're an empty white. But it had only one eye. She then saw where she had hit it. In the spot where it's right eye was supposed to be, was a bloody, empty socket with a hoof mark on it. It touched the socket, it's claws feeling around inside of it, making more black blood come out. She had to resist the urge to throw up tight there. "Gr? GLARG!" It punched her in the back, clearly not aiming. But it still hurt a lot. She then felt it grab her leg with both claws, bringing it up to it's mouth. "Stop!" And strangely enough, it did. It froze in place, not moving an inch anymore. "Sssssss..." She heard the sound of a fire starting. 'Who would start a fire at a moment like this?!' The creature suddenly dropped her waving it's arms around like it had gone insane. "GWU! GRO! GGGRRUUAAAGG!" She then saw why it suddenly dropped her. Smoke started coming from the parts of it's body that were exposed to the sunlight. It suddenly catched fire, and not much later it had become a walking torch. "RIIAGGG! UUWWWOOOG! HARGLLL!" Parts of it's body were so burned, they just fell of. First, it's legs gave in, making it fall over. Then, it's lower body started to fall apart. Then, it's arms decided to let go. "Gwwuulllgggg..." And then it went quiet and the fire stopped immediatly. It's whole body was burned past the point of recognition. "W-what the hay?" Was all she managed to say. She tried to stand up, but her leg protested. The creature must have held it in a very tight grip. And her back also hurt a lot. Not to mention her left wing was bleeding. Normally, she would just go to the doctor and say it was a training accident. But a creature that tried to kill her? Who would believe that? Only her friends of course. "Heh. Guess I better get to my room again." She said while limping towards Ponyville. Applejack's farm... "You okay Applejack?" "Yep." But it was clear she wasn't. She was a very bad liar. And Big Mac might not be the brightest bulb or the sharpest of nails, but he certainly wasn't dumb. "Don't lie to me. It's easy ta see when ya lie." "Ah... just don't wanna talk about it." She said, poking her food with her hoof. "Fine." He wasn't in the mood to start an argument with his sister right now. Besides, he had work to do. And he had an idea of where to start. Canterlot... "Is she going to be okay?" "Although it doesn't look like it at first, yes. The poison only leaves the prey paralyzed, making it an easy meal." The doctor, a white unicorn mare with grey mane and tail, blue eyes and a needle as her cutie mark, said. "Okay." Shining was a bit relieved that his little sis was going to be okay, but he wasn't done worrying yet. And that bipedal creature, he forgot his name, sitting next to Twilight's bed didn't calm him either. "Sorry for asking, but what is... that?" The doctor asked while pointing at the creature. "I don't know. I don't really care. To be honest, I'd like to have him out of my sight. But he doesn't understand speech and I'm not allowed to use force right now." He glared at the creature, receiving a glare just as fierce. He didn't know why, but the creature was very intent on staying by Twilight's side. "Is it... dangerous?" The doctor asked hestirantly. "Only if it wants to." Shining said, his voice cold and almost monotone "Oh." She walked away, a bit uneasy by the tone in his voice. Meanwhile he and the creature kept staring intently at each other. "I know you can't understand me," He walked towards it. "but in case you do, I. Don't. Trust. You." He said, poking the creature with each word. It suddenly got up and walked away, dropping a piece of paper. "Hm?" Shining walked over and picked it up, and unfolded it. In case you can read this: Goodbye. I don't like being kept in a cage, and I'd like to explore this world. I allready picked up my stuff and got some food. And say goodbye to Twilight from me. See ya later, Steve. "Oh no he won't! Guards! Catch him!" "Catch him!" 'Looks like they can read. I have to admit, I've had more fun in these days then I had in the past years! Although it has been really weird and awkward at quite a few points. But I'd like to discover a bit more about this world. It's obviously not mine. The physics are all srewed up in here!' He thought, running at high speed. "HALT!" 'I think that means stop. Hey! I'm learning speech again! But I'm not about to stop.' He thought while clamping an Ender Pearl in his hand. He heard the creatures right behind them, the sound of their hooves bouncing of the walls. He neared a corner with windows in the walls. But instead of going around the corner, he jumped straight through the window. He threw the Ender Pearl away as hard as he could. "After it! Don't let it get away!" He looked up to see a few of the winged ones speeding towards. 'Bye bye.' He waved at them, smiling smugly. They almost had him... "SHING!!" ...when he dissapeared in a purple glow. Of Nightmares And Purple Eyes. When Twilight woke up, her ears were met with whispers. She only heard soft, ghost-like whispers. They were too soft to understand, but too loud to miss. And it was cold. Freezingly cold. But it wasn't painfull or disturbing. It only made her feel... uneasy. 'Where am I?' She opened her eyes and was met with darkness. Pitch-black neverending darkness with the occasional wave of fog. She tried to lift her hooves into her vision, but she noticed her whole body felt heavy. As if a unseen force was pushing her to the ground. Breathing was heavy too. 'What's going on?' She slowly lifted her hoof into her vision, and she could see it perfectly fine. There was no source of light to be seen, but she could see everything just fine. Well, if there was anything at all, she would be able to see it. But that was the problem. The only things in this seemingly endless darkness were the occasional waves of fog and herself. 'This isn't Canterlot!' She tried to stand up, but the pressure on her body only increased. In the end, she was only able to get on her stomach. The whispers increased with speed and volume. They also sounded angry. And sad. It was confusing, to say the least. Suddenly, a loud screeching noise sounded through the darkness. It sounded like a bunch of agonizing screams. And it hurt her ears. She thought it would go on forever... "IIIIIIIIIRRRRRRRGGGGAAAAAAAAAA- ... when it stopped just as suddenly as it started. The noise had left a painfull ringing in her ears. The whispers had intensified again, and she was almost able to make out what they were saying. "...ain...eath...ness...fea...nger..." She lifted her head and looked around, hoping to find the source of the whispers. "Hello?" No response, except for the whispers. "...ie...lea...go...ow...on't..." "Is anypony here?" Still no response. The whispers intensified. "...You...owers...not...is...ca...fool..." "I know you're here!" She noticed the pressure had lowered and stood up, walking towards where she thought the whispers were. The fog grew in size, making the black darkness seem grey. She stopped walking when she was sure she saw something. And two purple eyes looked back, staring into her eyes. "..The End...beginning...foolish...die...must...meddling...cease..." "What do you mean? I can't understand you!" She started walking towards the eyes, determined to find out what's going on. The closer she got to the eyes, the further away they seemed. She increased her pace, as did the eyes. She started running, the eyes were still moving away. "Give up...can't...away...Endermen...you...kill..." The whispers were closing in on her, sounding outraged. She started galloping, finally catching up with the eyes. But the whispers kept growing more intense, turning into screams. "You can't escape..." Her breathing turned ragged, her throat dry and painfull. She was getting closer to the eyes. But it started to feel like it was the other way around. "Your magic won't controll our powers..." Her legs started to hurt and her breathing became more ragged, but she was getting closer to the eyes. They seemed bigger then she first thought. "You are not allowed to meddle with our kind." The eyes were a lot bigger then she thought now getting rapidly closer. She slowed down a bit, her throat feeling like sand. "We are not to be taken lightly." She stopped moving completely when she noticed more purple glow surrounding the purple eyes. She could vaguely make out a pair of immense wings. "YOU WILL PAY." "GRUWWOOOAARRGGG!" A purple glow came from the eyes's body. It was a dragon. It was larger then any regular dragon, and it's ribs were visble. Not because it was skinny or because it was wounded. No. It was because there was barely any skin at all. The only skin it had was on it's head, wings, legs and tail. It roared again, showing her it's teeth. It's huge, sharp and ragged teeth, dripping with saliva. The whispers were gone, and this creature had come to replace them. It dived for her with immense speed, despite it's huge body. She started running. She noticed her face was wet. Had she been crying? She hadn't noticed. "*CRASH!*" She looked back, expecting to see the creature right behind her, ready to crush her between it's jaws. But there was nothing there. No insane bloodthirsty dragon, no whispers, nothing. It went from insane to quiet. Too quiet. "H-hello?" She felt the ground tremble beneath her hooves, and she didn't like it. White cracks started appearing in the black floor beneath her, the trembling increasing. It started increasing rapidly, the ground starting to fall apart. Suddenly, the ground exploded upwards, an enorrmous mouth appearing below her. It shot towards her, the dragon catching her in it's mouth. "AAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHH!!!" "AAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHH!!!" "Twilight! Calm down!" She heard a voice. It sounded familiar. Where was the dragon? 'Who is that? Where am I? Am I dead? HELP!' She franticly flailed her hoofs around, hitting everything in reach. "TWILIGHT! It's me! Shining!" She looked to her left, seeing her brothers face. "S-s-shining?" She visibly calmed down, but her breathing was unstable and ragged, tears rolling down her face. "Where am I? What happened? WHERE IS THE DRAGON?!" "You're in the Royal Hopsital! You were attacked by a spider, remember? And what dragon? Spike is still in Ponyville and I don't remeber any other dragons." He looked at her confused. How could he have missed such a big dragon! "Oh, hehe, you know." Her eye started twitching, a small, fake and creepy smile appearing on her face. "What do you mean?" "THAT HUGE BLACK DRAGON THAT ALMOST ATE ME JUST NOW?!" She yelled in her stupid brother's face, shaking him back and fro. "There was no dragon!" He yelled back, grabbing her shoulders. "It probably was just a bad dream! And will you calm down? You're not supposed to be this active for at least another two days!" 'Wait, if that was a dream... How long was I out!?' "How long was I out?" "Almost a day." He let her go, probably thinking she had calmed down. 'Oh, I'm calm alright. Never been better.' The Adventure Has Begun.'Okay, maybe I should have thought that through a bit more. Ow. Ow. Ow,' Steve thought, limping forward. When he had thrown the Ender Pearl, it landed further then he expected. And when it landed, so did he, breaking his legs and breaking most of his ribs. Even though he had used his health potion after the landing, it hadn't fully healed him. So now he had to travel with a broken leg, a few cracked ribs and a big headache. 'At least I got away. But I have to say, why was the security so low? Even my Snow Golems are better at protecting my house! Maybe there just havn't been any moments in which they were needed for quite a while? Well, it's not my problem.' He shrugged, another sharp pain shooting through his head. He continued walking towards the forest, which was still quite a few miles away. 'This could take a while.' Meanwhile, in The Everfree Forest... The Enderman was mad. "Hurg!" Furious. "Rarg!" He was hurt by those sheep-like creatures. And they made him flee to a forest. And there he was, grunting in pain and stumbling through that same forest. To make things even worse, he had teleported much further than he should have and was drained of most of his energy. If he ever saw those two again, he would make them suffer for what they did. But why didn't he dodge the arrows? He didn't know. And right now, those arrows were painfully sticking out of his body, purple glowing blood seeping out of the wounds. He knew the blood would atract predators, but if he would go out the forest he would turn into a walking torch. It was either risk being attacked by monsters or surely burn to nothing. He knew he had to stop those wounds from bleeding, or he'd die for sure. But how? The pain in his head started to get worse, but he slowly started to lose feeling in his chest. He knew that couldn't be good. "Hhhh..." The more feeling he lost in his chest, the more flat and forced his breathing became. "Hhhh... Hhhh..." He started to increase his pace, hoping he could find something to help him, although he seriously doubted that he would find help. "Hhhh..." He kept going, despite the increasing numbness in his chest and the lightness in his head. "Hhhh... Hhhh..." He slowed down when he reached a clearing, not daring to go out in the light. Sunlight was bad. "Hhhh..." Very bad. "Hhhh..." He hated sunlight. He hated it just as much as water. He started to get more lightheaded with the moment and he could barely breath anymore. The bleeding had stopped although the wounds hadn't healed. He really needed help. He noticed a small house not too far away, another one of those sheep things standing next to it. This one looked a lot like those other two, but different. It was more slender than the others. It seemed to be tending to some creatures, talking to them. It seemed happy, until it saw him. It instantly froze, it's eyes filled with fear. He would have been happy that at least this one knew respect, but he couldn't see anymore. Or breathe. Or think properly. The last thing that went trough his mind was: 'Help.' And then he collapsed. That thing. That tall monster. It looked straight at her, almost into her soul. She thought it was going attack her, when it suddenly collapsed. She wanted to run away. To scream for help. To cower in the corner of her house. But something was wrong. 'It's a trick! It'll kill you!' A voice screamed in the back of her mind. But something felt wrong. The way it had stood there and the look in it's eyes. It looked like it wanted... 'Help?' "It's probably a trick... But what if it isn't? Don't be silly... But maybe it really needs help? Are you crazy? I should at least check... But it's dangerous! I know... But what if... No. It's probably in pain. It might need help." And so Fluttershy bravely, as brave as she could, walked towards the monster. The closer she got, the more she tensed up. Her instinct practicly screamed at her to run away, but her rational mind wasn't having any of that. If it really wanted to kill her, it could have reached her in no time with it's long legs. 'Almost there. Please don't kill me...' She was getting to it, when she noticed a purple glow coming from the creature. It was faint, like a candle that was about to go out. When she was less than a meter away from it, she could hear it breathe. It was flat and forced, like it was about to die, and when she got even closer, she saw that was exactly the case. An arrow was sticking out of it's upper body and one out of it's left eye. "Oh, my." As soon as she saw how badly hurt this creature was, her mind started racing to come up with an idea to help it. It was three times as tall as she was, so she wasn't going to be able to move the creature on her own. Maybe the bear could help her? Meanwhile, a mile or so away... 'Stupid wolves, plants, whatever those things were. Now my leg hurts even more!' He had reached the forest quicker then he first expected to. Granted, the free ride he stole helped a lot. The look on that blue sheep's face was priceless. 'She wore some kind of purple cape with stars on it, I think.' But when he entered the forest, it only took twenty minutes for fate to mess with him. Three strange plant-like wolves attacked him. They weren't very strong, but his injuries had given him a slight disadvantage. One of them managed to bite his leg, but that was all. He had killed them easily, chopping of their heads and splitting them. 'Now to find a place to stay. I don't want to be left vulnerable to any monsters.' His stomach growled, reminding him of food. 'Oh yeah, food would be nice too. At least it isn't...' "Hah!" 'Not today! I jinxed myself before and I aint doing it again!' He waved his fist towards the sky like he was mocking the gods. And then he realized how stupid that must have looked. *sigh* 'At least no one was watching.' He blinked a few times before realizing his mistake. 'Great job Steve, you probably just jinxed yourself.' And sure enough, the bushes left from him rustled and he spotted two blue-gray eyes. He sighed again andw motioned for whoever was in the bushes that he/she could come out. When she (he learned how to tell male from female by looking at the head of a sheep) came out, he didn't expect her to be white with black stripes. 'Or is it black with white? Eh, doesn't matter.' The look in her eyes told him that she was a lot more curious than scared. 'Whatever this creature may be, I think it might be friendly!' Zecora looked at the tall creature in front of her. It looked a lot like a hairless primate. Or a hairless Diamond Dog. It looked at her with bored, bur friendly curiosity in it's eyes. True, it was a strange combination, but this creature was also strange. Although it's far from the strangest creature to have ever lived in Equestria. She could think of numerous things, like Gargoyles, Hellhounds, Wraiths and Pumpkin Creepers. "What are you, and where are you from? Or has the cat cought your tongue?" After she finished talking, she swore she saw something in the creature's eyes that said: "This is getting annoying." It sighed and turned away to continue it's walk, limping heavily and leaving drips of blood on the ground. She noticed the wound on it's leg. It looked pretty bad. The skin around it looked infected, and the wound was already swollen. 'No doubt that wound would take it's toll. This creature knows as much about wounds as a foal!' She cought up to the creature and grabbed it's shirt with her teeth, making the creature look at her with mild annoyance. She pointed at it's leg and shook her head. Apparently it got the message because it sighed and gestured her to go ahead. It also had this look in it's eyes that said: "If things get more crazy than this, I'll go crazy myself." 'How much more crazy can things get? Now I'm being ordered around by a striped sheep! Why am I even going along with this?' He shook his head and started following the sheep. She seemed harmless, and what other choice did he have? He had used his potion a while ago and if she could heal his wound, it would be worth taking the risk. 'Where exactly are we going? I lost my sense of direction a while back but she seems to know exactly where to go! Maybe she lives here?' Just when he finished that thought, a strange tree cought his eye. He couldn't say what was odd about it until the sheep opened a door in the tree. '...Okay. Not the strangest thing I've ever seen.' He followed the sheep inside and nearly bumped his head because of the low ceiling. A few walls were almost covered with shelves with ingredients and potions he had never heard of or seen. He limped over to one of the walls and started checking the shelves for anything familiar. 'Is that? Yes it is! Spider eyes! Slimeballs! Even Nether Warts! And tons of mushrooms! Now if I had a brewing stand I could do something useful with these things!' He giddily scanned all the pots for anything else he would recognize but to no avail. 'Does this creature know alchemy? He does seem to recognize an ingredient or three. But first his leg should be attended to. And I think I know exactly what to do.' She walked over to the creature and forced it to sit down. It halfheartly complied and winced as it had to put his weight on it's bad leg. When it was finally seated on the ground she ripped the cloth of the wound and started to examine it. 'This creature is almost completely bald! Well, except for it's scalp.' She noticed the wound was originally a broken leg. Both halves of the bone were sticking out of the leg and a few Timberwolf teeth were also sticking out of the wound. 'This is not going to be nice. Bringing it to sleep first is probably wise.' She walked over to her kettle and poured some of the warm water into a cup. Then she added some herbs to it, including Nightshade, which would surely knock the creature out. 'Does she want me to drink that? It could be very poisonous!' He pushed the cup away and shook his head. He didn't trust her enough to drink one of her brewings. She narrowed her eyes and grabbed the cup with her teeth and brought it closer to him. 'No can do. I'm not gonna drink thaAAAA!' She had stomped on his bad leg causing him to yell in pain. And then she threw the drink down his throat. He choked, involuntarily swallowing the liquid. He cursed mentally and prepared himself for the pain that was surely to come. But instead of feeling intense pain, he fell asleep. "Maybe I used a bit too much Nightshade. I really hope this won't cause him trouble that is to great." Return to Ponyville, aka: A friend? One day later... Twilight was going back to Ponyville. She had managed to convince her brother and Princess Celestia she felt fine, although she didn't. Ever since the nightmare, Twilight felt a bit... Different. Every time there was a place she couldn't quite see properly because of some shadows, she felt like she was being watched. And occasionally, she would see a pair of purple eyes, similair to those she had seen after levitating that orb, digging into hers. But before she could see to who, or what, the eyes belonged, they dissapeared. And there was nothing that could prove that somepony, or something, was there. She also got tired more easily. The doctors had said that that, and her nightmare, were just side-effects of the poison. But she knew better. 'Something was angry at me for using magic on that orb. And I think it still is,' she thought, looking at one of the villages she was flying over. 'I wonder why that creature was so defensive about it's so called powers. And that reminds me, what's an Enderman?' "Miss Sparkle?" One of the guards said, snapping Twilight out of her thoughts. "Yes?" "We've almost reached Ponyville." the guard said in a strict, but not unfriendly tone. "We're about to land." "Understood." 'I really hope the girls and Spike haven't gotten into too much trouble. I have more than enough problems on my own.' Bringing the wounded creature into her cottage had been a real chore. Especially because she had to find Mister Bear first and then she had to wait untill night, because the sun seemed to hurt it. After it had been placed on her couch she had closed all the curtains so the sun couldn't hurt it. It really was an odd creature. Three meters tall, extremely skinny, a skin that was practicly stretched over it's bones and in a very dark shade of purple (almost black), purple glowing eyes, three long claws at the end of each front leg and not a single hair. It also faintly glowed with a purple aura. She had never heard of or seen such a creature before. The closest thing to it that she knew of were primates. Was it some kind of advanced primate? Or was it an entirely new species on it's own? Either way, she treated it's wounds as best as she could. The worst wound it had was in its left eye. Even though she had removed the arrow, the eye didn't glow like the other one. The creature was probably permanently half-blind. 'If only angel would leave it alone.' She thought, giving the bunny in question a dissaproving look. He just glared back, making motions with it's paws. It was almost as if he was trying to say: "Get that thing of the couch!" "I know that that's your spot, but can't you see that creature is badly hurt?" she said sternly. "Besides, it needs it's rest and you're not really helping." Angel just shrugged and continuedto try to push the creature off the couch. But the creature was way to big and heavy for the small bunny. In fact, the creature didn't even fit on the couch. It's hind legs were sticking out over the edge, laying on the floor. "If you're going to keep acting like that, you won't get any desserts this week." That seemed to get Angels attention. He sighed in defeat and hopped of the couch, walking over to a cushion. "Now that's a good bunny. Now behave while I replace its bandages." She trotted over to the creature, carrying her first aid kit. She clicked it open and picked up the scissors, cutting loose the bandages. The wounds had healed quicker then she had expected. They were still open and infected, but they were clearly less swollen and had started to close already. Just as she had removed the last bandages, the creature began to stir. It's eyes shot open and it suddenly sat up straight. It immediatly collapsed again, making a noise similar to the screeching of a crayon on a blackboard and clutching it's upper body in pain. "Eep!" she said, hiding underneath her table in fear. He heard a strange noise after he had collapsed on the couch and looked around for it's source. Underneath a piece of odly shaped wood was one of those sheep. It looked odly familiar but he couldn't quite put his claw on it. One thing was for sure, the sheep was afraid of him. Finally, some respect! But why was he in this house? Had the frightened sheep helped him? He tried to get up, but his wounds felt like they were on fire, making him moan in pain. "Oh my. Do you need help?" the sheep said, getting out of, judging by it's voice it was a she, her hiding spot and walking over to him. Help him? If any of his brethern had been here at the moment she had said that, he would have been the laughing stock of his species. The Endermen were proud creatures and never needed help. Until today, that had been true. "So, umm, need help?" She said after getting no reaction at first, her voice soft and gentle. He hestitantly nodded, going against his pride. He took a look at the sheep while she carefully applied bandages to his wounds. Her coat was a light shade of yellow and her mane and tail were a soft pink. Her eyes were blue and had a soft and caring look in them. The only thing that actually confused him was the mark on her flanks. Did they mean something? While she applied the bandages she noticed it took a good look at her, but not in a bad way. Quite a few stallions outside of Ponyville had taken a good look at her, but they often had that scary look in their eyes. Their eyes would look in a... seductive way at her. But, fortunately, none of the stallions in Ponyville were like that. And apparently, neither was the creature. It looked curious, squinting it's good eye when it's eye stopped at her flank. She finished applying the bandages, backing up to give it some space. It lifted it's left front leg and pointed at her flank and then shrugging. "That's my cutie mark. It represents my special talent." she explained. It seemed content with the answer. It then pointed at her and shrugged. "Oh! I completely forgot about introducing myself! I'm Fluttershy. Do you have a name?" It shook it's head. "Oh... That's too bad. Can I give you one?" It seemed to think about the idea, and then nodded, but slowly. "Your skin is very dark and you don't like the sun, so how about... Shade?" Nod. Just as she wanted to ask more things about the creature, somepony knocked on the door. Fluttershy made for the door while Shade hoped the one at the door wasn't about to come in. The past two days had proven that the sheep are easily scared by his appearance, and he really wanted to avoid being seen in his current condition. He couldn't hear what the conversation was about, but the visitor sounded a bit excited. He heard the door close a few moments later, but Fluttershy didn't come back. Having nothing else to do, he decided to just lie down, hope that no one else comes inside the house and wait for Fluttershy to return. "Are you okay Pinkie?" Fluttershy asked Pinkie. She knew she was less energetic and cheery then normal, but she really didn't want to tell Fluttershy about IT. "I'm fine! Just a bit tired. I didn't sleep too well the last two days." It wasn't a complete lie. She really had some trouble with sleeping these last two days. The first was because of IT, and the second was because she was too scared to sleep at all. "But don't worry about silly old me, we need to hurry up! Twilight's comming back, remember?" Pinkie said, walking faster and putting up a fake smile. "I know, it's just... the last few days have been kind of... strange." the yellow pegasus said uneasily. 'You have no idea how right you are,' Pinkie thought. In a few moments they reached the library, already seeing the rest of their friends. They all looked a bit uneasy. 'Looks like I'm not the only who had it rough these days.' Even Spike, now almost a head taller then she was, looked a bit uneasy.* 'Can't blame him.' The guards started descending when the carriage was only a hundred meters away from Ponyville. The first odd thing she noticed was that Rainbow Dash wasn't already flying next to the carriage. The second thing was that Pinkie Pie wasn't busy bouncing and waving at Twilight. The third thing was the way Spike moved. He kept looking from her to her friends, as if he had the feeling he was missing something. When the carriage landed, she noticed why Spike was looking around nervously. Pinkie's mane was a bit dull and straighter then normal and she was missing her trademark grin. Fluttershy kept glancing at the road to her cottage. Rarity seemed lost in thought, but in a bad way and her mane was out of shape. Applejack looked pale and seemed about to fall over. Rainbow's left wing had a bandages around it, her left hind leg was swollen and her back looked a bit misshaped. Spike had walked over to her, occasionally glancing at one of her friends. "Twilight," he whispered, his voice worried. "Something's up. And I don't like it." She walked over to her friends and stopped in front of them. "Get in the library, and tell me everything that I missed." she said, her voice making it clear that she wouldn't take no for an answer. When everypony, including Spike, had gotten inside, she sighed. "This is going to be one of those days, isn't it?" Another explanation. This is an answer to some questions and because I wanted to clear up some things. First, the Enderdragon can't communicate. Endermen are, in this universe, highly protective of their powers and won't let anyone or anypony mess with it. So when Twilight used her magic to pick up the Ender Pearl, the stronger Endermen noticed. And since they are highly protective of their powers and how they work, they decided to learn her a lesson. Since they are creatures of the night, and since they are far stronger then normal ones, they started messing with her mind. Thus, the dream about the Enderdragon. I know, it's a bit farfetched. Second, about confronting the guardsponies? The Enderman was curious about the pony, as he had never seen anything like it. And because he thinks more lucid and less on instinct, he didn't dodge the arrows. Why Pinkie killed the zombie? Yeah, can't really explain that. I can only say, because it's a different universe? Yeah, that sounds stupid. And about the royal guard, this story plays years after season 2, ignoring a lot of parts of season 3. There have barely been any moments in which they actually had to fight. So that should explain it. Oh yeah, the level of intelligence differs with every Endermen. If anything else needs to be cleared up, ask me. Creatures that go bump in the night.Steve sat on his bed at night. And he didn't like it. Not one measly bit. It should have been day by now. Thrice. One night apparently is a lot longer in this world then a night in his world. And why did they turn of all the lights? 'Do monsters actually spawn in this world?' He wondered. 'Let's just hope there won't spawn too many of them.' He thought, holding his sword, ready to fight. Twilight lay in bed, but couldn't sleep. Her friends, even princess Celestia, have told her many times to stop working at night or to overwork herself. But how could she sleep when there was so much to research? She kept thinking about Steve, his magic and many more things. She kept turning and squirming in her bed, untill she couldn't take it anymore. 'I can't take this anymore!' She got out of bed and walked over to the pile of items she had brought with her, lighting a candle and placing it next to her. She was still amazed with how many items Steve had carried with him. She decided to start with Steve's axe. Something about the axe bothered her. She held it close to her face and scanned it's surface. It was completely smooth and even. And that's what bothered her about it. It showed no signs of wear, no cracks, dents and not even a scratch! 'How does that even work? Steve used in battle today and it looks like it's never been used! That's technically impossible! Or did he put a spell on it?' All of her questions just ended up being answerred with more questions. 'And how does he use his magic? He doesn't have a horn or anything like that!' She stared at the axe, like it would give her the answer. "Ugh." She said after getting no response from the axe. She took a look at what else was interesting. The strange green orb. 'It looks... Weird.' The orb seemed dark green at first, but when you looked at it directly it would seem light green. She tried levitating it, but dropped it instantly. As soon as her magic had touched the orb, it started glowing intensly with a purple light, filling her mind with a vision of two purple eyes staring from the dark. Whatever magic the orb posessed, it was strong and very resistent. She then picked up the guards helmet. It had a few scratches here and there, but that was it. She checked if it held an traces of magic, but to no avail. 'This is not working! It's almost like Steve never used magic!' She thought, frustated with the fact she wasn't getting anywhere. "Maybe I should go back to-" *Drip* "Hm?" She was sure she heard something. *Drip* 'There it is again!' She turned around but saw nothing. *Drip* 'Is there a leak somewhere? Oh well, I'll tell somepony about tommorow.' She turned her attention back to the helmet, and almost dropped it. There were three drops of green liquid on it. *Drip* And now it was four. She shakily levitated the candle up, looking at the ceiling. Her pupils dilated when she saw what was up there. *Drip* "Shriiii..." It was a spider. And it was the size of a pony. In the dark hallways the air started to tremble, ripples flowing through the air. Suddenly, one long, dark and hairy leg came ou of the air, followed by another and even more legs, all of them attached to a body just as dark. The creature had eight red, angry and hungry eyes. 'Food... Where...?' It smelled something. 'Food!' It started walking towards the source of the scent, it's eight legs not making any sound. It saw light coming from a room. It peaked around the corner, immediatly spotting a purple colored sheep. It would have to do. The creature slowly climbed up the wall, sneaking towards the sheep and not making a sound. When it was near the sheep it started to slowly sneak down the wall, it's venom dripping from it's fangs and falling down. Apparently the sheep hear it. 'Need... Food!' When it was almost close enought to the sheep, the sheep suddenly looked up, spotting the creature. "Shriiii..." The creature said. It then suddenly jumped at the sheep, the sheep only barely dodged the creature's attack reacting with a scream. "AAAAAAAA!!!" The scream hurted the creature's ears. It didn't like pain. It hated pain. 'Food is bad! Food no scream! FOOD IS FOOD!' The creature jumped forward and rammed into the sheep, sending the sheep flying. It ran at the sheep at high speed and immediatly bit, it's fangs sinking into the sheep's flank, making the sheep scream again. "AAAAAAAGGHH!!!" Tears were flowing down the sheep's face. Why? Sheeps don't cry. They don't feel. They are food. 'FOOD!' It started sucking the blood out of the sheep. It tasted different. 'Food is good!' It thought, drinking greedily. And then... Pain. "SHRIIIIIIIIIIIII!" The creature screamed in agony. Something had hurt it, had cut of one of it's legs. And it hurt a lot. It turned towards it's attacker and the last thing it would ever see, was a sword piercing it's head. 'Food...' When Shining Armor heard his little sister scream, he immediatly followed his instincts. He jumped out of bed, grabbed his sword and quickly made his way to Twilight's room. 'Don't worry sis! I'm coming!' He ran as fast as he could and when he heard her scream again he started running even faster. When he reached her room, he stormed in and did what his instincts told him, barely registering what he was doing until he had done it. "SHRIIIIIIIIIIIII!" The monster screamed in agony when one of it's legs fell to the ground, still twitching. It turned towards him just when he swung his sword again, hitting the monster square in it's face and piercing it's head. It fell limply, it's blood flowing out of it'd body. He stepped back to see what he had killed. It was a spider the size of a pony. He would have been amazed if it wasn't for Twilight sobbing in pain next to him. "Twilight!" He rushed over to her. He could see her whole body tremble and she was breathing irregularly. "Are you okay?" "I-i-it b-bit me..." He noticed the deep wounds on her flanks, blood quickly flowing out of it and the flesh around it turning dark blue and yellow. "I'll get you to a doctor! Don't worry!" He wasn't too sure who he was trying to convince. Twilight, or himself. Steve sighed after he heard the screams. 'I knew it.' He thought, looking at the remains of a skeleton, it's skull crushed. 'That's odd, the body should have turned into smoke by now.' Author Notes: A Quick Explanation That should be checked by you guys from time to time.To avoid as much confusion as possible, I'll be explaining a few things here. When Steve got to Equestria, part of his world came along. After a while, that part fused with Equestria, changing the physics a little bit and making it able for monsters to spawn. But because of the huge amount of magic in the air, the allready large amounts of monster and that this is Equestria and only a small part of Steve's world came along, the monsters spawn a lot less frequent and in a larger range. Their behavior and other things have also changed a bit: Zombies and skeletons will only die when the brain (skull for skeletons) is destroyed. Zombies will also try breaking windows. There are also zombie and skeleton ponies. Spiders can think, but only barely. They can sense when the enemy is too too strong and are able to feel fear. Spiders don't despawn and gather in forests and caves during day. Oh yeah, they poison their prey before killing it. Endermen are far more intelligent and dangerous, but will only fight when neccesary. Creepers are a lot more scary now. And when I say a lot, I mean it. They are a lot more violent and can trick you. They also attack other monsters. Spiderjockeys, are very intelligent and can think normally. It's basicly a intelligent skeleton who has tamed a spider. Silverfish look like, well... Silverfish. They can eat through almost any material and always travel in groups. Slimes have a lot more variety and don't jump. Bats don't spawn because they are natural in Equestria. Witches are a lot more evil and look... different. Yuck. Now to the normal creatures: Cows, sheep, pigs, chickens and wolves don't spawn. Villages are very rare and the villagers look more like normal humans (no, they don't look like Octo anymore.) and can talk. Iron Golems guard the villages but some of them roam Equestria, attacking all momsters they come across. Their faces look like normal faces. And now to the physics: They haven't changed (yet). I hope this will help avoid confusion as much as possible.
World loaded?Pain.
'Too easy.'
Interaction.
REALLY, really bad.'
A Long Night.Steve was anxiously waiting in his room for day to come and Shining Armor was taking Twilight to the first doctor he could find, but what was happening in the rest of Equestria?
Never been better.'
The Adventure Has Begun.'Okay, maybe I should have thought that through a bit more. Ow. I really hope this won't cause him trouble that is to great."
Return to Ponyville, aka: A friend? "This is going to be one of those days, isn't it?"
Another explanation.
'That's odd, the body should have turned into smoke by now.'
Author Notes: A Quick Explanation That should be checked by you guys from time to time.To avoid as much confusion as possible, I'll be explaining a few things here.
