It was a bright, sunny day outside in Ponyville. It was so sunny, everypony had been given a day off from work just to enjoy themselves. Today Fluttershy was going with Twilight and the others to see a documentary about the Diamond Dogs. Twilight organised the event, but nobody had agreed to go until Rarity had forced them to go to see her appearance in the film.
However, there was only one problem with all this: when Fluttershy had woken up from her sleep, she noticed that Angel was lying just in front of the doorway, seemingly exhausted. This bewildered Fluttershy as Angel was never tired, except when he stayed up past midnight. On those occasions he could be found in the middle of the floor, usually surrounded by carrots and ice cream sundaes, wherever he managed to get them from was beyond her.
Upon close inspection of the white bunny, Fluttershy concluded that Angel was sick with the Thumps a rare illness,that causes bunnies to constantly thump at an ear-deafening volume and rapid repetition. However, Fluttershy knew that she could treat him and have him back to full health within a matter of days, but if she left the poor bunny, he could die from exhaustion. This left another problem, Rarity had been putting this viewing of the film off for weeks, as she had a lot of orders that she had to fulfill, and ended up procrastinating until the film was on its final screening.
Fluttershy had now to make an important choice: leave one of her bunnies behind for a couple of hours, a very risky option, or have the possibility of losing some of her friends.
‘Listen to yourself Fluttershy, they will understand, after all, they are your friends, right?’
Her mind gave herself an invisible facehoof, of course they were her friends! But then she thought of how Rainbow Dash would react. After all, the cyan colored pegasus had shouted at her on multiple occasions.
After at least 5 minutes of thinking, Fluttershy came to her decision, she would have to look after Angel and hope that her friends would accept that she wouldn't be able to come.
Fluttershy went to retrieve her smartphone, a joint present from Pinkie Pie and Twilight for her birthday last year, customised by Pinkie to be yellow with her cutie mark on the back, so that she could never lose it and make it feel ponyalised just for her.
She sent a group SMS to all of her friends, her only contacts on her phone aside from her family.
It read: Um... I will not be able to make it to the theatre today... if that's OK with you...Angel is very sick and I need to take care of him. I’m so very sorry for any inconvenience caused...is that ok with you?
Immediately she got 4 replies saying that it was OK, though Rarity’s one implied that she was disappointed. Soon after she got a reply from Rainbow Dash saying: 'Why do you have to be so lame Fluttershy?'
One day later...
Thanks to her tender care, Angel had soon regained the glint in his eyes and was now back to his usual self, aside from wanting more and more sundaes.
Her friends, especially Twilight and Rarity, said that the documentary was amazing, with Fluttershy’s old mentor, Photo Finish helping to produce the movie, Fluttershy was very confident that what her friends were saying were far from fiction.
While considering what the movie was like, a light bulb flashed in the pony’s cranium. She could buy the DVD off ponyMall. The pegasus raced over to her computer, a machine with a dual core, magic powered processor, 16GB of RAM and two 3TB hard drives working together. She had gotten Twilight to build the computer for her as Angel had started playing games like Betolfield 3, which required a high spec PC, surpassing her budget one that she had bought a few years ago.
She loaded up ponyMall and searched, March Of The Diamond Dogs, to her surprise, nothing appeared on the screen except from a message saying that there were no items with this name. Fluttershy was very disappointed. A short frown appeared on her face before she realised that she could search elsewhere.
She searched for the film and sure enough, a website came up offering the film, Fluttershy grinned so much that anypony that was to look at her face could smile for a month.
She clicked on the website and was greeted by a page titled, Boltorrents, she read the description on the film and looked at the cover art, no doubt contributed to by Rarity.
As she scrolled down the page she saw a download button, stating that it was a free download.
“Wow, thats very kind of somepony to give out the film for free.” Fluttershy remarked.
She clicked on the link and her browser downloaded the file almost instantly.
She clicked open but was stopped by a window saying that she would have to download another piece of software that was named, uTorrent.
Soon enough the yellow pony had installed the software and had finished, after a considerable wait, downloading the movie.
She started to watch the movie.
The opening sequence consisted of a dramatic description of how the Diamond Dogs change hotspot every few years...
One and a half hours later...
“Wow, that was amazing! Angel, did you watch it?” Exclaimed the hovering pegasus. However she was greeted by a sleeping Angel, ‘well it seems like he did not like the film’.
Fluttershy smiled.
She thought about how she was able to download this movie absolutely free of charge with no catches.
Suddenly the pegasus burst into the air with an idea!
“I know Angel!” Immediately the bunny woke up, startled, “I’ll tell the others about this amazing website and then they will have to forgive me for missing the film!”
Soon after having this idea, she rushed out the door, careful not to startle the animals, and rushed to tell all her friends. First, since it was the closest, she went to Applejack’s farm and knocked on the door of her house.
She heard a few footsteps and then the door opened to reveal Applejack, who was cheerful as usual.
“Oh hi there sugarcube, got somethin’ on your mind? You lookin’ pretty eager to say somethin’.”
“Yes Applejack I do, and it’s great news! I found somepony on the internet that’s given away free things in the internet!”
“Really! What kinds of things?”
“Well I saw that movie that Rarity was in, oh... and they also had lots of songs! Maybe I could get my animals to sing some of them, oh... and they also had Games like Betolfield, I regret paying for the thing now.”
“Gee thanks Fluttershy, but what’s that someponies site called?”
“Um... what was it agiain... Ah ha, it was called Boltorrents!”
“Woah I’ll go try it now, there were some of them fancy tunes that I wanted, but I didn’t get them as we didn't have enough money, but ah guess that’s not a problem anymore! Thanks Fluttershy!”
“Your welcome Applejack, have a nice day!”
“Ah sure will!” said the eager earth pony.
Fluttershy soon left the vicinity of the earth pony’s farm to reach Rainbow Dash’s house, which was the nearest to Applejack’s place.
