0000 Prologue

*Beep! *Beep! *Beep!

Something shuffled in the darkness before going quite, the being noise still continued.

*Beep! *Beep! *Beep!

A silent groan muffled out, an appendage stuck out from the shadows, grasping air before falling limp.

*Beep! *Beep! *Beep!

The groan got gruffer, and the appendage which looked more like an arm began to flail about searching for the source of the annoying noise.

“CAW!!! CAW!!! CAW!!!” the alarm device cawed before a fist smashed down on it, it made a whining sound before falling silent. A muffled voice came from under the blankets.

“Damn fucking clocks…always ruin a good sleep…curse yet praise the maker of you buggers…” the figure in the darkness sat up and yawned tiredly.

“Quit making suck a ruckus man and hurry up, commander won’t be happy.” A voice said over another device.

The said person in bed only grunted, and if it weren’t dark we would’ve saw a scowl on the said persons face. The person rolled over and tossed the sheets off, the darkness covering the figures body. He grunted as he went into the bathroom to wash up and get ready.

0000 Three minutes later…

As our protagonist comes back into view, he is seen walking through a hall, a black bandana wrapped around his head, covering most of his hair, large black cloak adorned, a grey metal chest plate glimmered as well as the armored boots. He was minding his own business with a stoic face. He walks up to a door looking at the number making sure it’s correct before opening it and entering. As he entered, there were three people already waiting.

“Took yah long enough Raiden.” His friend said with a foxy smirk on his face, the now named Raiden only rolled his eyes in response.

“Aw, don’t be such a killjoy Raiden.” His friend said again with a pout before returning back to his smirk.

“Focus Leon.” Raiden said sternly, Leon’s smirk only got wider before he nodded.

“I could be using some sleep right ‘bout now…” the other person in the room said as she yawned loudly.

“Oh quit your whining Shiki. You’ll get your sleep eventually! Don’t you sleep enough?!” her friend said with a scowl on her face.

“No I don’t, I rather get paid to sleep rather than do something productive.” Shiki replied with another yawn.

“Bakas…” Raided muttered.

“Aw is Raiden being grumpy today?” a sultry voice said from behind, he felt to arms wrap around his waist as well as someone’s body press up against him. Raiden only sighed in annoyance.

“Let go Kira…” he said, the hold just tightened as the girl behind him snuggled closer, pressing her chest loving against his back.

“Nah…I’m good, you’re so…comfy to let go.” She responded with a giggle, making Raiden sigh again.

“C’mon, you know you like this don’t you big boy?” Kira asked again with a seductive tone to it, Raiden only rolled his eyes.

“How many times are you going to do this, this is like the seventy-second time.” Raiden said as he began to move a bit to at least escape Amy’s hold.

“Not until yah go out on a date with me!” she said with a childish laugh, making Raiden groan. He was about to do a reversal-hold before someone else beat him to the punch and yanked Kira’s arms away.

“C’mon Kira, stop teasing him.” Her friend said with a hearty chuckle as she dragged Kira away from Raiden. Kira just grinned before whispering into her ear.

“What? He’s hot! Those muscles of his are perfect, I can just imagine-”

“No need to go into detail Kira!” her friend stopped her with a blush on her face. Kira only got a mischievous look on her face.

“Oh? Does Floe also have a crushy crush on Raiden?” she teased before snickering, Floe looked away to her right while tossing her hair in front to hide her blush.

“K-K-Kira!” Floe stuttered while her friend just laughed, Raiden clueless to what they were talking about since he couldn’t hear them only muttered to himself.

Raiden only sighed as he looked towards the ceiling, he was about to close his eyes until he heard someone sit next to him.

“Yah need to buck up mate. Yah been doin’ this since she died.” A voice with southern accent said, Raiden only clicked his left eye open.

“Come again?” Raiden asked curiously. The person just chuckled stiffly.

“I said yah need to buck up mate. Yah need t’ah move on, you can’t stay in the past. Remember his speech about that? “If you don’t let go of the past, then you will never see the future.” He said, Raiden only just sighed heavily.

“How can I Joseph? It’s not really that simple, I bet even he had trouble doing that.” Raiden replied as he stoically stared at the ceiling.

Joseph only sighed in response. “True, he did say it t’was difficult to. But in the end though, he was able to let the hurt and past go and move one to make a better future. Kyle always had a unique way of words.”

“Know first, then judge.” Raiden recited one.

“To heal ones heart, tears must be shed.” Joseph recited another; Raiden was in deep thought on that one.

“Choices will either bring your happiness, greatness or fame, or they shall bring sorrow, hate, and ruin.” Raiden finally said after a few moments.

“Protect those close to you, even if it’s a one way road.” His friend added.

“And lastly, “Light and Dark cannot be without one another. Wherever the light shines, there is also darkness hiding. Wherever darkness consumes, there will always be a light in the depths fighting back. ” Raiden recited again. The two were in silence after that.

“So…excited for your solo mission to the newly discovered world?” Joseph spoke to break the silence.

“I suppose…” Raiden replied.

“So…how’s FireTeam doing? How’s my ‘lil sis doing?”

“She is fine, don’t worry I will uphold my promise. And the others are healing…though I am worried for Ami…” Raiden said with a straight face.

“Do you regret what you did on that mission? I mean, it’s hard to believe that he-”

“No I don’t regret anything. He was a traitor us all, and I was the blade that silenced him. I had my suspicions on him for a very long time since he joined.” Raiden said stoically.

*Beep! *Beep! “Raiden Hōku, you’re up.” A feminine voice spoke over an intercom, Raiden grunted as he sat up and stood.

“Good luck out there pard’ner, you’re going to be alone for a long time out there.” Joseph said, Raiden only nodded in reply as he sank into the shadows like a ghost.

As Raiden was walking through the halls, he had a lot of thoughts on his mind. Especially that one mission.

Flashback Start, 7 Months Ago…

“Give me one reason why you are doing this before the ground is stained with blood.” Raiden said angrily yet with a stoic face as he gazed at his opponent.

“I’m doing this because the gift of power and fame.” his opponent said plainly, Raiden only narrowed his eyes.

“Is that it? Is that the only reason you did this?” Raiden said before giving a mocking chuckle. “You really are a moron; you’re just like all other power hungry fools. An endless cycle of morons who have no brains.”

“Shut up! Don’t you dare insult me! This field will soon be stained with your blood! And I have the power to do it!” the shadowed figure shouted.

Raiden only looked from his opponent to the field, back to the sky and back to his enemy. He was silent for a few seconds before replying.

“You were always a fool. And shall remain so, a fool forever in life. You boast that you are stronger than me, but can you really back up that claim? No…no you can’t because you are nothing but a fool…an ignorant child who do anything to makes things go his way. A spoiled brat, unfit for this world.”

“SHUT UP!!! I’LL STAIN MY SWORD AND HANDS WITH YOUR BLOOD!!! AND AFTER THIS I’LL SEND YOU TO ETERNAL HELL!!!”

Flashback End, Present

Raiden shook his head of the memory, but he muttered something barely audible.

“Always will remain a fool…”

As he entered another room, there was a variety of scientist at work, a huge circle like object stood upright at the end of the room, multiple wires connected it to the thousands of super computers around in the room. Raiden had little interest as he walked to where two figures were having a small conversation; they stopped as they spotted Raiden walking towards them.

“Ah, Commander Raiden, it is good to see you again.” The first figure spoke, a male decked out with General clothing; he was holding his hand out for a shake.

“A pleasure in seeing you again sir.” Raiden said he accepted the shake. Raiden turned his head towards the other person who was a female.

“The name’s Cora, it’s a pleasure to meet you Commander Raiden.” The woman said, offering a hand.

“As well to you mistress.” Raiden replied as he too shook her hand.

“So, are you ready to depart on this newly discovered world? No re-briefings?” the general asked as the three walked down the walkway towards the machine.

“I assure you sir; I do not need a second briefing. If the mission is as simple as you told me yesterday, then I will have no problem.” Raiden assured as walked.

“Are you positive?” Cora asked, Raiden only nodded as he stood in front the machine.

“Very well, as soon as you reach the other side, head into the mountain’s and the AI controlled drones should find you as well as present you with a more variety of weapons if you need them. Remember, the natives are ponies.” The general replied.

“A knife, med-pack, a pistol and a few mags will do just fine. As well as adding my personal katana in, that makes things better.” Raiden said as he checked the pistol for any defections.

“Very well, an-oh! Another note, when we sent in some troopers earlier and when they came back, they said their forms changed to match those living there, so you might need to get used to living in a new body when you enter the other side. Also F.Y.I. there are three different types of ponies on the world, one is a Regular, one is a Unicorn that can use magic, and the other is a Pegasus that can fly, that’s all we have for now. Another thing too, one of our drones got captured, we’re hoping that you can get it out of trouble while keeping a low profile.”

Raiden only raised an eyebrow before nodding in response; the machine began to glow with power and electricity, a small blue ball formed in the center of the circle, slowly growing.

“Portal opening in 3…2…1…open!” the ball shined brightly before popping, a wall of energy formed and blurred greenery could be seen.

“Step through Raiden, and good luck.”

Raiden nodded and took one last breath of air before stepping through, the portal consuming his form before dying out.

0000 Equestria, Ponyville

It was such a peaceful day in Equestria, the birds were singing, the animals were playing and doing the sorts. The ponies in town were just minding their business, doing the daily chores and work. Twilight was in her library doing her usual work, reading, etc. While Spike was sorting out the books into the right sections. But lately there has been things happening lately, Celestia yesterday had sent her letter of her finding an unusual pony. This pony has no form of any life force in it, she had it taken into custody but before the guards could arrest the mysterious pony, it had retaliated and beat down the guards, more guards had come to suppress the pony but when one unicorn guard accidently miss-fired a fire spell, it revealed what the pony really was. It was unlike anything they seen, instead of flesh and bone, it wall all metallic. The creature tried to get away not until Celestia herself restrained it with a huge amount of focused magic. She had tasked Twilight to look up anything that could relate to this mysterious pony like creature while pony scientists’ examined it. Twilight still had no answers yet to what it could be.

“Urrgh. This is so frustrating…there nothing even about such a creature that is a pony made of metal, just doesn’t make sense.” She said loudly as she flipped another page.

“Maybe it could be an unrecorded species of ponies?” Spike suggested.

“That’s what I think, but no creature can still be alive having all of its skin burned off or in this matter, melted off. That would be too much unbearable pain. Plus the thing was said that it couldn’t even feel pain at all. It just shrugged off spells and pain like it was nothing.” She retorted.

“Maybe they have high pain tolerance and they are very resistant to magic?” Spike gave another suggestion.

“I don’t know…but for a pony to look like that must be…shameful or just sad…it’s a wonder why it must’ve worn a disguise to look like a regular pony.” Twilight said glumly, feeling pity for the pony like creature.

“Well who knows, maybe the pony will eventually talk.” Spike spoke as he placed another book in the correct section.

“Well it did…sorta…” Twilight replied.

“Well? What did she say on the letter earlier?”

“Celestia wrote to me that the creature said “We roamed once alongside with you. But we were shunned and hated, forcing us to mask our looks. We just wanted to fit in and be friends again. There are so few of us left due to the last king of Equestria who banished our kind because he saw us as monsters and abominations.” That’s all she wrote to me.”

“Wow...maybe we did rediscover a lost pony species.” Spike said, Twilight lightly nodded.

Before the conversation could continue, the whole ground began to shake violently before suddenly stopping. A loud bang erupted out of nowhere in the distance, scaring almost everyone within Ponyville. Then all was quiet again.

“W-wha-what was that Twi?!” Spike asked a bit scared, his ears rang a bit from the loud explosion.

“I-eh-uh-I don’t know! Something happened, I hope nopony is hurt!” Twilight replied as she exited the library to check on things, as she stepped out she noticed a glowing in the distance, in the direction of Everfree Forest.

“I better get the Elements to check this out.” She thought as she gazed at the beam of light.

0000 Equestria, Everfree Forest, before the explosion

In the Everfree Forest, all was quiet as usual, except maybe the occasional chirp of a unknown bird. It stayed quiet until a crackle of electricity sparked in mid-air. The sparks and crackle grew in number before a ball of energy began to slowly form, rotating in the air. The orb began to glow eerily and crackled with more electricity, it wasn’t before it pulsed it gave out a deafening explosion. As the matter flew apart it quickly halted and sped straight back compressing into a huge ball that crackled with energy, as blinked before a figure shot out of it, landing on all fours gasping for air. The ball crackled before blinking out of existence, the figure wore a black bandana, a large black coat, and an armored chest plate as well as armored back leggings. The figure could be identified as an earth pony in overall shape.

The pony lifted his head upwards searching the area while taking some deep breaths. As he finally calmed his breathing, he muttered two words.

“Mission, Start.”

0000 Chapter One: Getting Around and Trouble in Everfree

Raiden was slowly examining his surroundings; all he could see was trees, trees, trees, and…more trees. He only growled in annoyance.

“Worst possible place to come out. I can barely even see through this place.” Raiden thought as he continued his search, after a few moments he looked down to look at his new body he was in.

“Hooves? How am I supposed to hold my weapons? Snout, teeth, a mane and tail.” He noticed a puddle and walked over to it and stared. Stared at his reflection. “A horse? No…a pony. I seem smaller than a horse.” Raiden mumbled as he cocked his head before shaking his head.

“No use in sitting around on my rear, better get out before the locals come, that made quite a bang.” Raiden muttered as he began to slowly tread forward to get used to the feeling of going on fours rather than twos. “This isn’t too bad.” He thought as he walked.

A beeping noise clicked in action on his right arm, Raiden brought up his arm or leg, he didn’t care. He brought it up for an examination, a small holographic screen phased into existence showing a compass pointing north. He looked towards that direction and only saw an eerie darkness.

“Hmmm…” Raiden hummed as he looked into the darkness.

*Snap!

Raiden was on alert the instant. His eyes looking around for anything in the forest with him, his hoof slowly inched towards his pistol in his holster. It was a surprise when he felt that he could feel invisible fingers wrap around the weapon. He slowly drew the weapon out and looked around. When nothing came out from the bushes, he placed the pistol back in place, but never lowering his guard. Raiden took another look around this time narrowing his eyes a bit into the darkness. He could see something moving in the bushes, lots of them, yellow glowing eyes stared right back at his own.

“This could be troublesome…” Raiden thought as he glared at the creatures, they glared right back giving small quite snarls.

Raiden moved his eyes scanning the trees, scanning his hostile targets. From the outline of the shadows, it looked wolf-like. Raiden slowly began to tread towards his destination while keeping his guard up and eye on the bushes. The wolf creatures followed out of site, moving with deathly silence, but Raiden was one to be fooled so easily. They were just waiting for the right time to get him by surprise, and he wasn’t going to let that chance occur.

“I need to be able travel more safely…hmmm…” Raiden thought as he looked around, giving his rear an occasional glance.

He spotted a tree about 15 to 18 meters away, low enough for him to climb; he hoped the invisible fingers would apply to climbing. The wolves were getting restless, due to the more scrapping and less stealthy movement now, they wanted his hide sooner or later. In a blink of an eye, Raiden bolted towards the tree, the wolves jumping out in hot pursuit. One wolf gaining on Raiden’s flank, Raiden just scowled as he kept on sprinting. As soon as he reached the tree, Raiden made a tall leap upwards, hooves outstretched. Raiden was praying that the invisible finger grasping would apply, when he felt his grip on a thick branch, he gave a mental sigh and pulled himself up hastily. The wolf jumped up after him, jaws a gape. But to the loss of the wolf, it missed Raiden by mere inches. The wolves howled, barked, and snarled in frustration and anger that their-would be meal had just escaped death.

As Raiden got his bearing, he turned his head to look at his pursuers. “Wood? They’re made of wood? Timber Wolf would be a fitting name.” Raiden thought with a raised eyebrow as he examined the specimen.

Raiden shrugged as he turned his attention back to moving along the trees. He looked around and saw another thick branch not too far, a jumpable distance. He backed up a bit before moving hastily to gain momentum, he gave a grunt as he jumped off the branch and catching another. He looked downwards to the hungry wolves following him, just waiting for him to screw up.

“Not going to be lunch today, dogs.” Raiden mumbled as he continued to jumping from one thick branch to another. (Similar to how Conner moves around in the trees in AC3) As he was jumping, the device on his wrist beeped. He took a glance at it when he landed on a branch.

“Greetings Captain Raiden.” A feminine voice spoke.

“And to you.” Raiden replied as he made another jump, his foot slipped as he landed onto another branch but quickly fixed his mistake by grabbing another branch. The wolves below snarled.

“You are nearing your destination. Distance 575 meters, I see you have a problem with the local wildlife. Would you like assistance?” the voice said again.

“Perhaps that would help, send two Drones over.” Raiden replied.

“Affirmative. Sending drones to location, estimated time 10 minutes.” The connection died, and Raiden cursed as he was at the end of any available branches to jump.

“Damn…I guess I’ll have to wait…” he mumbled as he leaned onto the tree, he kept his eyes on the wolves below. “Perhaps it would be a good time to see what the team collected on.” He said as he glanced at the device on his arm, he somehow pressed a few buttons before a holographic screen came up.

Drone Alias: Hardhead

Log One: It appears that there was an incident earlier today. An equestrian by the name of “Nightmare Moon” had interrupted a party. Chaos was everywhere, and from what I saw. Six mares had left town in search for Nightmare Moon.
-Update
It appears that the 6 mares that went in search have been able to defeat the Nightmare Moon. How they did, I’m unsure of, but my receivers did pick up huge amounts of magic being used in the forest. The shan kin’s should look into this.

Log Two: I happen to be strolling around town casually, well that is until I bumped into another specimen. Looked like a female griffin should I say. Had a hostile attitude, lucky that I can only retaliate if she attacks first. After that encounter, I saw her again this time roaring at another pony sending the pony crying.
-Update
I was invited to a party by the pink mare named Pinkie Pie, fits her for some reason. But the griffin appeared again but it had company of another mare this one had rainbow colored features. The party went well until the griffin cracked. For some reason during the party, something glassy smashed into my head.

Log One: Apparently they have a season named Applebuck Season or something like that. The farmers at Apple Acre’s seem to be working non-stop especially that mare, I admire her work but she cannot work forever. If she was a robot or cyborg then yes, but not flesh and bones. I gotta get back to cooking, troublesome foods.

Log Two: I met a unicorn today, her name was Twilight Sparkle. She appears to be non-hostile, but I can sense some form of suspicion. I’ll have to keep my eye on her-oh no! The food! NOOOOOO-CRASH-End*

Log Three: Today I was assaulted…I think…a pink mare just happens to appear out of nowhere in my FOV(Field of View). Apparently it seems her friend told her of my existence. What basically happed was when she suddenly appeared in my FOV in front of my face, I happen to give out a small, err no…a huge blast of electricity in surprise. Shocked four ponies in the process, whoops.

Log One: Was attending school like usual, except those troublesome Cutie Mark Crusaders. They did something again today and trashed the whole school, including my project. *Sigh. Children just being children I guess, why did masters make me the size of one? Oh right, to see what the natives learned in school, right right….

Log Two: Met the Crusaders again, apparently they wanted me to help them with something… So I helped, and helped, and helped….didn’t really know what they were trying to do. But it got us into a load of trouble with the adults and I stuck in a huge ball of gum, Applebloom seemed to be the main cause of our troubling situation since she came up with the idea so she was getting yelled at the most. Alas though, I intervened and took all the blame for myself. Not like it mattered anyways.

………I have no clue what just happened……….I was just accepting a thanks from Applebloom for taking the blame and she pressed her lips on mine and galloped off, leaving me dumbstruck in the dust. What did that mean? My brain refuses to cooperate right now and my system feels like exploding…..I need to think…….a lot….

Log One: Been about 5 weeks since my enlistment and post. Sort of odd for such a peaceful place to have guards, but I guess thievery is a problem around such place. I usually deal with the occasional thug, bar fight, so and so. That Rainbow Dash is really starting to grate my nerves with her arrogance.

Log Two: Was on my day off, was making my way back to base until I ran into some trouble. A huge reptilian just bursted out of nowhere trying to eat me. Not fun trying to evade that multi-headed beast. I think I even saw a few familiar ponies running away from it as well.

Log Three: Another day off, I spent some time in Sparkle’s library looking at all the information I could gather and send back to base. Read something really interesting and checked it out. I’ll have to read this more; title is “Forgotten Alliances”.

Drone Alias: Buckitup
Form: Equestrian/Pony
Type: Earth Pony
Job: Construction Worker

Log One: Just doing the daily work, pushing, pulling, lifting, etc. Nothing too bad in Canterlot, but some of the unicorn guards seem suspicious of me. I better be cautious and ready to fight. Masters will not be pleased if I get captured. But they’ve prepared for such things, if I were to be captured I can use the information Steel has gathered from that book. I can use one of the species as a cover up. Better go the Princess is coming now, wonder why?

Log Two: Frak. Things just went downhill, I’ve been discovered by the damnable princess and I’ve been put into custody. They’re observing now, I can sense their fear. For now, course of action is to give false information, I cannot self-terminate for they would acquire my metal and that would be disastrous.

Log Three: Masters are furious, but they are intending to come and extract me ASAP. I feel…ashamed…

Raiden glared at the last entry, he was so into it he almost slipped off the branch. He quickly caught himself and repositioned himself on the branch. He noticed that the wolves were long gone but he knew they were still around somewhere.

“Drones inbound, approaching location.” A feminine voice spoke, Raiden gave out a relief as he heard hovering noises.

Two circle like objects were moving towards his location, Raiden gave one last look around and jumped down onto the earth. He quickly took out his pistol and hobbled over to the incoming drones. Better to be safe than sorry.

“Greeting’s Master Raiden. We shall escort you to the base.” A masculine voice spoke out from one of the drones. Raiden only grunted in response and began to hobble after the drones when they began to move in the opposite direction they came from.

-Twelve minutes later….

“Destination arrived, welcome to Granite Bunker.” The drones said before leaving Raiden, staring at a large camouflaged door. He approached and stood still, a red wall of light sparked to life and went over his form.

“Welcome to Granite Bunker, Master Raiden.” A voice said as the door opened showing a stair way downwards.

“Mmhmmm…” Raiden gave his reply as he trotted down the stairs with some difficulty. “I wonder of Raven Team had worse trouble-ouch. That definitely left a mark.”

The camera turns to Raiden’s right to see a pony shaped dent on the metal wall, the pony was upside down in the dent. He continued to trot downwards until he reached another door which opened as he got into distance, revealing a largo room. An emblem was embedded into the wall, a sword with two black raven wings sticking out from both sides. Underneath the blade were words that said “Raven Guard”.

“Took their time to put that there eh?” Raiden thought as he went down another hallway, his hooves clicking and clacking on the metal floor. He entered another room that showed a huge screen on the wall and its controls on a stand.

“Activate Computer.” Raiden said loudly, the machine crackled to life as it powered up.

“Initiate connection with HQ.” The screen beeped for a moment before another screen popped up.

“HQ do you read?” Raiden spoke.

“This is HQ. You found the base huh? Well done.” A voice replied.

“Affirmative sir. Base is secure and useable.” Raiden said as he did a system check around the base.

“Alright proceed with next objective to extract our captured drone. You’re going to have keep a low profile, the drone is located in a castle in the mountain. The place is called Canterlot, and only lucky ponies can reach that place. You’re going to need a way up there without any trouble or suspicion.”

“Hmm…I can try blending with the crowd in Ponyville, best place to start trust gaining.” Raiden suggested as he pulled up an image of Ponyville.

“That could work, from previous logs and data Raven Team sent us, it appears that there are six important individuals located in the town. They’re called the Mane Six, they have connections with the rulers of this land.”

Another screen popped up and showed six ponies, two unicorns, 2 Pegasus, and 2 earth ponies.

“The purple unicorn goes by the name of Twilight Sparkle; she is the direct student of the ruler Princess Celestia, she lives in a library in a shape of a tree house. The white one is named Rarity, she works in a boutique, shouldn’t be too hard to find as the building looks like for high class individuals. Plus she has a younger sibling living with her. The pink one is an earth pony named Pinkie Pie, be cautious around her, she is…unpredictable, she works at a bakery. And be careful too, she’ll throw a party for those new to Ponyville, so you might get a surprise. The other earth pony goes by Applejack; she works in the Apple Fields not too far, and lives with her family. She also works around the market district of Ponyville selling apples. Now for the Pegasus, the rainbow colored one goes by Rainbow Dash, she’s works as a weather pony occasionally but mostly she trains for trying to earn a spot within a group called the Wonder Bolts. The other one goes by Fluttershy, she lives in a cottage not too far from town and she’s shy and an animal lover. Though gentle she can get serious when she needs too, oh yes, beware of her stare.”

“Why?” Raiden asked with a raised eyebrow.

“It can break a dragon down bit by bit.” The commander retorted.

“Hmph. Trust me, I’ve seen my fair share of stares. I’ve looked death right in the face without faltering once. I’ve stared into a creature of horrors from all nightmares. I’ve looked into the eyes of a basilisk and lived, I took one of its eyes for a trade from one of my own that it crippled. An eye for an eye.” Raiden said with a scowl.

“I guess, oh and one more thing.”

“Yes?” Raiden was beginning to become irritated.

“There’s an pony you should be aware of, goes by the name of Time Turner. But some people call him Doctor Whooves. That is all, good luck on your mission. Another thing, you might want to rid your wear of attire, it might make you stand out.”

“Acknowledge sir.” Raiden said with a huff.

The screen went black as the connection died. Raiden gave a glance to the screen again before walking out of the room towards the dorms to change. As he left the dorms with less clothing, still donned his black bandana on his head and his left hoof bandaged for the portable device ; Raiden gave a glance behind him as he trotted to the exit.

0000 Ponyville

“Twi are yah sure about what you saw? I mean I coulda been anything, why don’t we check it out tomorrow?” Applejack said.

“There was something suspicious of that light, it seemed similar to the one from 4 weeks ago. Plus it occurred in Everfree just like the last one.” Twilight replied.

“Hmph. Whatever it was it ruined my sleep! I outa buck whoever is the cause!” Rainbow Dash said with a scowl.

“Whatever it was I scared me and made me mess up on my dress in progress! I demand to know who was the cause of that racket!” Rairty spoke with a glare.

“M-maybe somepony got hurt…” Fluttershy peeped in.

“I dunno, where is Pinkie?” Twilight asked that until a familiar pink blur suddenly appeared in her vision.

“Hiya Twi! Whatwegonnadotoday?! She said hastily with a smile.

“Hey Pinkie, well I gathered us up become I saw a light in the forest earlier, and I thought maybe we should check up on it.”

GASP!* “Ohmygosh! Are we going on an adventure?! I love adventures! They’re so fun! Wherearewegoingwherearewegoing-GASP!* My pinkie sense is twitching! We’re going to meet new friends today! Ishouldgetapartystarted!” She was silenced when Twilight placed a hoof on her mouth, though continued to babble even when covered.

“Maybe at a later time when we meet this said person.” Twilight put in, Pinkie gave a wide grin and nodded franticly.

“All right, let’s get to girls!” Twilight said as she led them towards Everfree. Little did they know, a trio of foals were listening onto their conversation.

“Didya hear that girls?! There was something mysterious in the forest! I bet if we went in and found whatever it coulda been, we might just get our marks!” a familiar Pegasus piped, the other seemed to be agreeing.

“Yeah lets go find what it was!”

“Yeah!”

“CUTIE MARK CRUSADERS!!! YAY!!!!”

“Goodness how loud do they need to shout?” Shadeyhoods said as he rubbed his head.

“How am I supposed to know?” a voice in the sky replied.

“Well you’re the author? Right?” Shadeyhoods replied.

The voice in the air only grunted before fading away.

0000 Raiden

*WHACK!

“Ouch! Damn branch.” Raiden grumbled as he trotted across the forest, getting a branch whacked into his face every five minutes.

*WHACK!

“OOF!!! Ow!” Raiden said as he rubbed his muzzle. As Raiden entered a trail he gave a sigh of relief.

“Finally out of the damnable forest-*Bonk!-ouch!” Raiden said as he glared at the fallen acorn which was quite unusually large.

“I’m going to kick whosever ass is making me suffer this shit.” Raiden promised as he went down the trail. Suddenly he tripped, landing on his face, flank facing upwards. “You’re pushing your limits dude.” Raiden growled towards the sky as he picked himself up.

“Meh. I’m bored. Maybe some humor could do.”

“You suck at humor.” Raiden stated bluntly only for another acorn to bonk on his head. *BONK! “Oof!”

“Screw you! I don’t suck!”

“Mmhmm, suuurrreeeee….”

“I’ll show you humor bitch! Eat this!” the sky crackled before lightning shot out. Raiden quickly bolted left and the bolt hit nothing but the ground.

“I feel like I should say this.” Raiden suddenly began to prance in circles joyfully. “Missed me, missed me! Now you gotta kiss me!”

*bbzzzzzzt!, a blackened Raiden was groaning on the floor, his mane sizzled a bit.

“Kiss that yah deep fried beat!”

“Proves you suck.” Raiden said bluntly.

*bbbbbzzzt! Bbbzzzt! BBBBBBBBBbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbzzzzzzzzttttt!

“Uh oh! Somepony’s angry angry! I should send cookies to make them happy!” Pinkie Pie said cheerfully as she pranced around, this left confusion in the group but they shrugged it off as Pinkies antics.

“We should be nearing the spot anytime now.” Twilight said as the continued onwards.

Just as they entered a clearing, they gasped at what they saw. Everything in the surrounding area was blackened a bit; a few fallen logs were smoking. Small pouts of fire were abundant. But what got Twilights attention was the small crater in the center of the field. The soil was black as night and still warm, the rocks around were sizzling and breaking down slowly. Crackles of electricity sparked occasionally.

“Whoa…what could’ve caused all of this-this destruction?”

“I hope nopony and any animals were hurt.” Fluttershy whispered, she almost fainted when she saw a smoldering corpse of a cockatrice.

“Man, sucks to be whoever did all of this.” Rainbow Dash said as she poked a nearby tree which instantly broke in half, revealing blackened insides as well.

“Whad’ya think Twi?” Applejack spoke as see looked around.

“This is really hard to comprehend, something big must’ve happened. From what I see, it seems there was a high amount of energy being used for something. That should explain the black spot right there.” The Twilight replied as she looked around.

*SNAP!!!!

“Who’s there?! We know you’re out there!” the Twilight said in alert.

When no reply came her horn glowed and a red hot rock was lifted into the air surrounded by the same energy. Applejack narrowed her eyes and took out her trusty lasso; Rainbow Dash and Rarity were looking around cautiously. Pinkie seemed oblivious as she pranced around, while Fluttershy was cowering behind Rarity. Then something came out from a bush and out from the shadows; it was a tall avian bipedal drone. It had two scythe like blades where the hands were supposedly were. Three red fins protruded from the back, a beak full of teeth clicked at the ponies, a line spikes protruded from the torso and abdomen, and a single pupiless eye glared at the ponies, it screeched and swished it tail with hostility.

“Uh, Twi? What in bucks name is that thing?!” Rainbow Dash pointed out, everyone was just dumbstruck and fearful of the creature.

“I-I don’t know! It’s doesn’t look like anything from the books!” Twilight choked out.

The avian screeched before clanging it’s scythes together loudly, sending echoes across the forest. It glared at them for a few moments before words were spoken from it.

“Identify!” the words came out crudely.

“Twi did that thing just talk Equestrian?” AJ asked, Twilight was dumbstruck before replying.

“I-I th-think it did.” She stuttered, the creature screeched again before saying again.

“Identify! Failure to comply will result in termination!”

“I-I’m Twilight Sparkle, student of Princess Celestia!” Twilight said in fear when she heard the word “terminate”.

“Verifying identity…searching…searching…Identity not found! Engaging intruders!” the avian said before giving a deafening war cry and charged.

“Everypony lookout!” RD shouted as she and Fluttershy took to the air, everyone else had to jump out of the way of the incoming monster.

It quickly halted its movement but it slid a couple feet before completely stopping. It gave a shriek and turned around scythes barred. It targeted Twilight first and sprinted towards her. Twilight yelped as she ducked to avoid a decapitating slash from one of the scythes, she sent out a burst of magic making the monster stumble backwards a bit. She quickly leaped backwards in avoiding another slash, this time she shot a concentrated beam hitting the beast dead-on the chest making it stumble a bit, but it shrugged it off before resuming its attack.

“Take this foul beast!” the voice of Rarity shouted, a barrage of large rocks and small boulders pummeled into the creatures torso.

The creature gave out a deafening screech before its claws glowed a sickly red before it slammed them both down into the ground causing an earth shattering quake. Everypony except the Pegasus stumbled from the quake. The creature quickly turned its attention towards Rarity and marched towards her only for a lasso to wrap around it.

“Oh no you don’t!” AJ declared as yanked the monstrosity back. While the creature was distracted for a few seconds, Pinkie ran up to and pointed her party cannon right in the face.

“SURPRISE!!!!” *BAM!!!

The crearure shrieked as it was hit by confetti; pies, etc. and fell on its haunches. As if angered the monster gave out a screech and the spikes on the torso and abdomen began to move rapidly like a buzz saw cutting the bindings of AJ’s rope. It quickly rose up and wiped a piece of cake off its optics only for a hoof to greet it.

“Take that punk!” RD shouted as the monster screeched. “Man what is its skin made of? Punching it hurts.” She thought as she planned another run.

As she was thinking she suddenly felt something yank her out of the sky. The world blurred and she smashed into the ground harshyly, RD looked around confused and dazed until she noticed something was wrapped around her body tightly. It looked like a rope…a rope made out of metal, she followed the link towards the beast. A hole near the base of the scythe was present, suddenly the beging pulled forwards hastily, the buzz saw of the creature began to rumble as it pulled her.

“DASH!!!” Twilight and AJ shouted in union.

“Help me out! I can’t move!” Dash shouted in panic as she neared the buzz saw.

“Take this!” Rarity shouted as she launched a boulder, it smashed into the avian stunning it. Twilight and AJ quickly rushed over to Dash to free her from the bindings.

“Darn it! What is this rope made of! It’s not even chains!” AJ said as she tried biting through the odd rope. It was hard as steel, yet looked like a regular rope.

“I’ll try to cut it with magic!” Twilight suggested as her horn glowed, a small beam of condensed magic shot out striking into the rope. There was no use as the rope wouldn’t cut, she couldn’t really focus on the rope since there was a blank void, and she didn’t even know where she was cutting.

“It’s getting up again, hurry Twi!” AJ scolded as the creature was starting to regain its bearings.

“I’m trying! I just-I just can’t focus!” Twilight replied harshly.

“Why not!” AJ shouted angrily.

“I-I-I don’t know how to explain!” Twilight replied.

“Look out!” the voice of Rarity shouted, the two mares quickly jumped from their spot dodging a deadly blow from the creature’s claw. For a good thing, its blade had hit the rope which sliced it in apart, Dash seeing the opportunity quickly rolled and freed herself from the bindings and flew to safety.

“Whew that was a close one!” Dash said as she rubbed her sore wings while glaring at the avian, it clanged its claws again screeching as if mocking the mares.

“Fluttershy, maybe you should use your stare on it.” AJ suggested, Shy just fearfully shook her head no.

“I don’t think it’ll work AJ.” Twilight said.

“And how do you know?” AJ retorted.

“When I use magic I can feel presence of other life forms since they give out some magic. But that…that thing though…there’s nothing there, as if it were…hollow…a ghost…an endless void. Similar to that metal pony Celestia reported. They both gave off no magic at all, just empty soulless husks.” Twilight said logically, everyone seemed to be thinking about her explanation.

“Then how is it moving and talking then dear?” Rarity asked, Twilight had to think on this one.

“I don’t know…I don’t think it’s even alive.” Twilight replied, as the avian gave out another mocking taunt.

“That thing is really grating my nerves. It keeps making fun of us!” Dash said with a scowl on her face. She tried to taunt the creature only for it to chirp in laughter at her attempt. The two sides were now in a face off.

0000 Chapter Two: Battle Zone

BEEP!!! a sound came out from Raiden’s bandage; he stopped and unwrapped the bandage, looking at the device attached to his forearm…arm, goodness he didn’t care whatever, let’s just go with arm for now.

“Hm?” Raiden hummed. Another beep and clicking noise.

“If you get this message master…this is Scout Drone, Buckitup. The xenos are planning something for me, I think they are preparing to take me apart and examine me. I cannot allow such a thing master. I’m now planning my escape. Steel out.”

0000 Buckitup

Buck’s metallic skeleton glimmered lightly in the darkness of the room, two red orbs glared at the door. He was thinking…thinking really hard, mainly how to escape. They were watching, watching his movement. It really annoyed the battle drone. The princesses were watching too, especially the night colored one. He gave a metallic snort from his nostrils, shaking his mane which looked more like wires and such. He stared at his partly brown colored chest where that pony had struck him with that miss-fired fireball spell.

“Annoying natives…” the drone muttered as he glanced around the room, a small window was perched at the top left corner of his cell. Too much work to reach. But he came up with an idea. He edged farther into the darkness; a small hissing could be heard before a metallic click followed. Something fell to the floor; it was in shape of a bird. “Rise.” Buck commanded, the bird twitched once before coming to life. The smaller scout drone stood ready.

“I need a large distraction of some sort; can you do that for me?” Buck said, the bird-like drone nodded before a holographic form fazed around the body, making the drone look like a robin. “Do it quickly, I have little time left.”

The bird gave a nod before flying out of the window. The robot gave a sigh; it won’t be long till the xenos came to dismantle him apart. But if they did, he won’t go without a fight. And…he’s going to take this castle with him if it came to such a thing. His cybernetic heart pulsated with energy, slowly building up, if he were to be destroyed, the heart would detonate with the force to destroy an entire skyscraper and rival that of a volcanoes.

“So where do you guys think that mysterious sound came from?” Scootaloo asked, her friends gave a “I really don’t know” gesture.

“Let’s see if we can find m’ah sister! Maybe they found the place!” Applebloom suggested.

“That might work, my sister went along with them as well!” Sweetie Belle agreed.

“Well? What are we waiting for! Let’s go!” Scootaloo said with a grin, all three foals began to quicken their pace.

0000 Raiden

Raiden only stared his the device on his arm for a few moments, just before he could wrap it, a beeping was blaring on the screen. He pressed the notification immediately.

“Commander Raiden, this is Hunter Drone Mk. 2, Gigan Series. There are intruders within the base perimeters. 6 equestrians, all mares. Permission to terminate all intruders?”

“Permission granted. Call for your allies in case things go bad. Make sure no one escapes, show no mercy.” Raiden said stoically.

“Acknowledged sir. Intruders are now engaging.” The connection died right after that.

0000 The Mane 6 vs Hunter Drone

“Take this beast!” Rarity shouted loudly as she tossed a huge boulder at the drone.

It screeched once before slicing the boulder into pieces. The drone’s eye glowed bright red before firing a thin beam. The mares jumped and dodged as the beam came near them. A thing blackened trail was left from the ranged attacked. The drone gave a screech and clanged its claws against one another.

“Looks like it’s picking up the game Twi!” AJ said in pain, she was limping a bit.

Twilight could only grit her teeth in frustration; she was in deep thought as she glared at the monster. She needed to contact Celestia.

“Fluttershy?” Twilight said hesitantly.

“Y...yes…?” she squeaked in fear.

“You need to go back and tell Spike what has happened, tell him to send a message to Celestia immediately. We’ll hold this thing off.”

“What? B-but-”

“No buts Shy…we don’t have time, plus…I don’t know how much longer we can hold out. You have to go. Go quickly!” Twilight commanded, Fluttershy was in conflict. She couldn’t leave her friends behind, but they needed help. She couldn’t choose.

“Fluttershy I know this must be hard, but it’s our only chance to beat this thing.” AJ spoke in. “You have to hurry, we’ll try to keep em busy. Go!”

Fluttershy had tears in her eyes, with one final push she fled back towards Ponyville. The droid glared at the fleeing pony and made movement to chase her.

“Musn’t let the target escape!” the Hunter mentally scolded, but the orange mare put herself in his way.

“You’re gonna have to go through me if you’re going after her!” AJ said confidently, the Hunter only growled in annoyance as he slowly and eerily slid his claws against one another. Sharpening the blades.

As the two started at each other Twilight was in deep thought.

“How are we supposed to beat this thing? Boulders are no good now since its expecting up to use them. Magic is basically useless, and AJ and Dash can’t seem to faze it with their attacks plus they’re also hurting themselves just from hitting it. What else could we do? Wait-the clouds!”

“Dash! Bring the clouds over here!”

“What? Why!”

“I have an idea! Shoot lightning out from them and make they strike the creature!”

“That might actually work, you’re a genius!” Dash said as raced off, drone was about to fire another cable to capture the mare. But before it could, Pinkie got into its line of sight.

“Peeka-boo!” she said obliviously, the drone growled loudly before making an attempt to slice the mare in two, the attempt failed as the pink blob vanished.

“I’m over here silly!” the drone lurched towards the voice with its claw in motion only to hit nothing. “Here!”

As the drone turned it was greeted again by a cannon.

“Surprise!” *BOOM!!!

The drone shrieked loudly as it stumbled backwards. Before it could throw a slash, a bolt of lightning struck dead center in the chest, making is twitch and spasm. The mares looked up to see a smirking Dash, a lump of cloud under her. The drone quickly shook off the shock and moved to stand only to spasm again as it got another shock.

“It’s working! Lightning affects it!” Twilight said in victory, she was sure they were going to be able to rid of this monstrosity.

The monster got another jolt of lightning; its eyes flickering dangerously, its movement began to twitch more and more. The drone gave a metallic screech of pain as another jolt struck it. The droid refused to stay down, it got another jolt for an answer.

“Why won’t you just stay down chump! You’re not so tough now are you!” Dash said mockingly as she hit the cloud again, another bolt struck the droid.

The droid just screeched weakly as the light began to flicker more, movement was slowing. It gave one last try to stand before another bolt hit it. It fell onto the ground with a loud thud. It spasmed and twitched, after a few moments, the droid was motionless. The red light slowly fading and getting smaller by the second. The mares on the ground gave a sigh of relief, it was finally over. Twilight was slowly trotting over to the fallen beast. She looked at it with fear, curiosity, and…sadness. It had no soul or anything, and it wasn’t alive. But…was it really true? While the others were resting up, Dash was lying on the cloud comfortably as she stared where the monster was. She leaned closer to the face of the creature.

“What are you?” she wondered, her eyes scanned the body of the creature before returning to its head. She noticed a slight flicker of light. She leaned closer to where the eye of the creature would be. A faint light could be seen.

Suddenly, faster than she or anything could react. The red glowed bright again, Twilight jumped back in surprise and fear and revelation that it was not dead yet; the droid stood up with insane speed, gave a haunting screech and fired a rope of metal towards the cloud where Dash was resting in. The rope jetted towards Dash’s location, before she could even react. A sickening sound of flesh being torn was heard and then felt bone crushing pressure all around her body. Her world blurred incredibly fast before she landed harshly into the dirt.

“DASH!!!!” a series of cries shouted.

Dash’s vision was in blur, as she tried to move she felt a huge amount of pain in her leg, she gave a shout of pain. As her vision steadied, she saw a metallic boot. Unmistakably it belong to the monster she had somewhat fried. She slowly gazed upwards to see the creature’s red eye bore into her own like a Death God, a God of Terror. She looked at her body and saw huge splash of red, and a hole were the rope entered and exited, her eyes widened in fear. She was going to die.

“DASH!!!! NO!!!!!” Twilight shouted, one of her friends was going to die today, she helplessly charged with her magic ready.

The rest were in the same shape, even Pinkie Pie’s hair seemed to straightened a bit. Everyone was now terrified. Terrified that Dash would die, terrified that they would fall to this creature. Its eyes bored into her own, Twilight was right. The thing had no soul; it had no signs of life. Nothing but that dead emotionless glare. All the mares gave a hopeless charge at the creature all intent on saving Dash.

0000 Fluttershy

Fluttershy was crying as she flew away, she had left her friends. She was crying for their safety, she was crying that she couldn’t do much. That creature was the thing of her nightmares. She had remembered a week ago, she had a nightmare. A nightmare that was becoming true today.

0 Flashback

Fluttershy was in total darkness, an endless void. With every step she took, it sounded as if she was walking in a puddle. A loud drip echoed in the dream world.

“Hello? Anypony there?” she asked with fear. Nothing, no reply was given. She continued to walk until she heard heavy footsteps behind her.

Fluttershy instantly froze up, and dreadfully turned around. What she saw was terrifying. Two gleaming blades glowed within the darkness; both had splotches of red…blood. It dripped slowly, hitting the floor of the dream world. She looked higher and saw a gleaming beak full of teeth, and she froze up even more when she saw the eye. The eye had no pupil, nothing, just a cruel red color. The world began to lighten slowly, the appearance of the real creature matching the one from the dream world. A line of sharp curved spike protruded from the torso and abdomen in a saw like fashion. Three blood red fins on its back. Metallic skin covered the entire body and frame.

“What are you?” Fluttershy said in fear, she slowly began to tread backwards.

The creature only slid its blade together at the edges, as if it was sharpening them; it took predatory steps towards her. Ready to slice her to pieces. Fluttershy suddenly tripped backwards and fell on her flank, what she saw horrified her. The dead body of her friend Dash lay before her. Her limbs were skewered and sliced up, one limb was severed. She lay motionless in a pool of blood. Next she saw Twilight; headless, her head showed her face with a screaming expression. As Fluttershy began to cry and drag herself away from the monster. She saw AJ, speared through the gut by a weapon. A pile of ash was on the ground, but a patch of pink cotton like material were littered around the ash.

“How could you? How could you do this?!” Fluttershy said in tears, the being didn’t reply at all.

The creature gave a hauntingly screech, the pace in sharping the blades slowed more; its steps were more predatory than ever. Fluttershy hit something, wall. A brick wall. She looked around in fear, and even more fear as the monster came evermore closer and closer, then she saw nine more look-a-likes appear in a blink. Those blades still sharpening each other. As it reached her, it raised its claw poised to strike. Fluttershy gave a scream of terror before the blade rushed towards her neck. Then she was pulled from the dream world.

0 Flashback End

Without knowing it, she had reached the house. She quickly burst inside, surprising Spike.

“Whoa what wr-”

“TWILIGHT AND THE OTHERS NEED HELP!!!! SEND A MESSAGE TO CELESTIA NOW!!! THEY’RE GOING TO DIE!!!!”

Spike eyes widened and he quickly grabbed a roll of paper and wrote hastily before setting it to flames.

0000 Canterlot Castle

Celestia wasn’t in the best of moods; she was still trying to figure out what that mysterious pony creature was. She had a book opened in front of her. The only lead she could get was about a long lost pony race that was banished by the last King of Equestria, her father. They were known as the Hollow One’s, a race of ponies that favored technological advances than magic or that sort. The mysterious pony and the Hollow One’s had similarities when she found a picture of one. Both were metallic in appearance, both are resistant to magic, both had no form of life or soul in them. Yet there was a small difference. The pony now looked more advanced, way out of league, plus the Hollow Ones eyes glowed blue, not red. But it could’ve possible all these years that they have improved and made some minor changes. Before she could read on, a letter appeared; she smiled as she noticed the paper, something from her student. As she opened it and read though, her eye went from happy to downright anger.

“LUNA!!! THE TWILIGHT AND HER FRIENDS ARE IN TROUBLE!!! ALERT THE GUARDS!!!” Celestia roared, she focused her magic and zeroed in on Twilights location before teleporting.

0000 Mane 6 vs Hunter Drone

The attempts to save Dash were futile, everything was in slow motion. The blade of the creature was rising, then a few seconds later it began to fall. Tears could be seen on all the mares’ faces, they had silent screams. The blade closed on in Dash’s neck. Before the drone could finish off Dash though, a blinding light obscured his vision making him shriek, time became normal again. Before he could get his bearings, a great amount of force slammed into his body. The cable lost its grip and quickly slid out from Dash’s body returning to its master. Celestia stood with her mighty glory, ready to destroy whatever was harming her protégé and her friends. Celestia glared with anger at the monster that was rising up from the unexpected attack. It gave one look at her before shrieking, clanging its blades together and screeching again. A challenge.

“I am Princess Celestia! Ruler of Equestria! For attacking my protégé and her comrades you are hereby placed under arrest! What do you have to say for yourself!?” Celestia bellowed at her opponent, though it towered over her greatly, she was one not to be easily intimidated.

It only glared at her emotionlessly; the only answer Celestia got was a metallic screech and clang of its blade. Her glared increased as she gazed at the beast in front of her. Charging up some magic into her horn she noticed a few things about the beast. One; no source of life or form magic was coming out from it. Two; the whole entire creature looked metallic rather than a hardened exoskeleton. Three; there was an empty void, just like the other mysterious pony.

“I doesn’t matter, this thing is not intelligent from what I can see.” She thought angrily, she would make this creature pay. “Twilight, I need you and your friends to move away from this location.”

“But Pr-”

“NO OBJECTIONS!!! I need you to move away now!” Celestia said sternly, Twilight slowly and silently nodded before moving to help her friends flee the area. Celestia began to gather more magic in her horn. The avian creature noticed the glowing of her horn, it screeched once before charging at her. It would deal with the escaping ponies later. It gave a loud screech as it closed the distance.

“Whoa! What was that?! Applebloom said suddenly, the unexpected screech caught them off guard.

“Maybe a monster? Ooo! Maybe it could be an alien!” Scootaloo spoke, Sweetie Belle seemed to disagree by showing a frown.

*BOOM!!!

“What in tarnation?! What was that just now?” Applebloom said again, the explosion had sent out a shockwave making the ground beneath them rumble a bit.

“I don’t know, but it sound close! Let’s go see what it was!” Scootaloo said reassuringly, the other two seemed nervous before nodding.

“Alright let’s keep going! Cutie Marks here we come!”

0000 Celestia vs Hunter Drone

“BEGONE FOUL MONSTER OF TATARUS!!!” Celestia shouted loudly and fired a beam of concentrated magic. The damned creature as she found out was very resistant to her magical attacks, and it didn’t seem to really harm the creature at all. And for that, she ended up receiving a gash on her right side of her flank. As the beam neared the creature, it suddenly vanished in a blink of blue.

“What? Wha-where did it go?!” she looked around in surprise; another blinding blink appeared before her. She turned her head to meet the emotionless gaze of the avian. It had one of its claws poised to slash; Celestia though gave out a burst of magic making it stumbled backwards.

“It can teleport? I didn’t even feel a sense of any magic from it! How could a magic-less creature teleport?!” Celestia thought as she shot another bright beam at the avian.

The avian vanished in a blink of blue again and reappeared in front of her. She sent out another burst but this time the avian anticipated that and blinked out of sight again. Celestia looked around till a light came from her left side, before she could turn; she felt a sharp pain in her leg. The avian’s blade had drawn blood. She grunted in pain and sent a bolt of light striking the avian in the chest; its body was thrown off its foot and crashed into a tree. The avian growled as it pulled itself out from the tree, before the battle could resume a flash of light appeared behind Celestia. Her sister, Princess Luna as well as 3 dozens of Royal and Night Guards were there, all readied for battle.

“We’re here dear sister! Where is thou foul beast!?” Luna said before she noticed the wound on Celestia’s leg. “Sister you are wounded!”

“Don’t worry Luna, I’m fine.” Celestia said, the Royal Guards grew angry and glared at the avian that dare harm their ruler.

A small red dot began to beep on the avian’s head, the ponies stiffened and readied for the next attack. They were confident that they would surely win with numbers, oh how wrong they were going to be soon. Five blue glowing glyphs formed on the avian’s right while four more glowed from its right. In a flash of light, the avian had nine more identical allies who all screeched and clanged their blades. He was in dead center.

“There are more of the foul creatures sister?” Luna asked as she stared at their would-be opponents.

“It seems so. Be wary guards, these creatures maybe smarter than they look. Another thing, though they maybe magic-less, they can teleport. How they do I do not know of.” Celestia said sternly, the guards and Luna were surprise that a magic-less creature could teleport.

“They’re attacking!” a Night Guard shouted, everyone quickly went into action.

Eight of the ten avians charged all shrieking and screaming wildly. Two of them in the back motionless but their eyes glowed a bright red. Before the two sides could connect, two red beams shot out from the avians in the back. When it struck a Royal Guard in the chest, he didn’t get a chance to scream before he disintegrated to ashes. The second beam hit a Night Guard Unicorn, turning him too to ashes.

Three ponies stopped mid-run to stare in shock at their fallen comrades ashes, before they could even get their bearing the avians were already on them. Luna and Celestia stared in horror at what transpired to them. Limbs were severed by the claws; chest caved in by a powerful kick to the chest, and a perfect decapitation all dead in less than five seconds.

Some guards flinched at the brutal display, but quickly hid it as they returned their attack magic was thrown at them, but vanished in a blink before it could connect. Luna tried to use her kinesis to hold an avian but failed as it blinked out from existence, another blink before something blunt smashed into her head. The same avian used the blunt side of its claw to strike her again, another avian blinked and join the beating. Celestia grew more angry as she saw the avian’s smash her sister’s head with another blunt side of its claw. Before she could help; a blink, then a jolt of pain on her chest. She turned to see an avian, the one she was fighting before it called its allies, had made an X-shaped cut on her chest, she powered up her horn before unleashing a powerful magic blast. An explosion followed and swallowed both her and the avian, sending both flying off their feet. The avian got a visible white vertical crack on its visor a battle scar from the xeno. When the avian had made the X on Celestia’s chest, it made sure that scar would stay there as a reminder, never to heal, and always bring her pain.

“Princess Celestia!” a royal guard shouted, a beam struck him in the head turning him to nothing but a pile of ashes.

Three unicorn guards rushed in to help. A sudden blink of blue appeared in front of the charging wall of unicorns that had their magic ready. An avian stood before them with its red eye boring into their own shocked ones; it sliced horizontally, three unicorns died instantly from being bisected in half. Another avian fired its red beam slicing a wing off a flying Night Guard Pegasus. He screamed as he fell back to the earth. But some rope caught him in mid-air and yanked him. He vision was met with a spinning buzz saw. He screamed as he was shredded.

“Be gone foul demons!!!” Luna shouted, a wave of magic smashed into three drones which sent them tumbling. “Go back to where you belong!!!” she shouted loudly again firing a concentrated bolt of magic, the targeted avian responded by firing its own ranged attack.

Both attacks crashed into one another, thus a beam fight started. The center point of the collision was glowing brightly as both side fought for dominance, magic vs technology. The avian’s beam began to slowly push Luna’s back before Luna’s began to overpower the avian. The avian anticipating the loss quickly blinked out of existence, the Luna’s bolt of magic crashed into a tree setting it to flames. A blink; then a blunt force, another blink, then another blunt force struck her in the head. Luna shouted in pain as the process continued, as it lingered on, it became more serious as the avian began to slice and slash. That was a small favorite tactic of the drone. Stun them, beat them, slash them, and kill them. A Night Guard Unicorn who noticed the action quickly shot a fireball at the avian. The avian screeched as it was hit, its footing was uncoordinated making it fall.

“Princess Luna are you all right?” the guard asked her as he rushed in to assist her.

“I’m fine, where is my sister?” Luna asked, she grunted in pain as she stood up, blood dripped from her wounds.

“She’s fine, but her magic seemed to fracture her leg, plus she is seriously wounded. We need to flee, these monsters are killing our men.” The guard said, a hint of panic and worry present in his voice.

“That might seem like the best option right now.” Luna agreed, they were losing too many men, the avians were still going without a hint of them being winded. “All guards we have to retreat! Retreat to me! Get Celestia and anypony that still alive out!” Luna shouted with her mighty Canterlot voice, the guards immediately followed the order. When they gathered while fighting off the avians, Luna charged up her last bit of magic before teleporting them all. They left with a blinding flash.

0000 Hunter Drone POV

The avian drones scanned the vicinity as their opponents left the battlefield. They scanned for any other hostiles, when the found none they all just screeched and clanged their claws in victory.

“No hostiles detected.” A avian said.

“Hostiles have escaped.” Another chirped.

“Return to base for repairs. Request Upgrades of HQ.” The avian with scar on its visor said. (I’ll name him Scar from now on.)

“Yes sir.” They all replied as they began to float then fly back to base.

“I hope you enjoyed the show Master Raiden.” Scar said as he flew off. Raiden slowly came out form the bushes staring at the retreating drones; he had watched the whole thing conspire.

0000 Raiden

“Hmm…so…the drones are at least effective against the ponies…that’s good news at least. But they may come back later for a rematch, plus the mane six...two of them were hurt…not too good if they were to be killed.” Raiden mumbled as he examined the carnage. Multiple ponies were KIA, Raiden looked behind him before whistling. “Clean this up. Leave nothing.” He said, ten shadowed figures bursted form the treeline.

Incinerator Drones came into the ragged field and began to burn the bodies of the dead guards. No evidence must be left, but now Raiden had to be more cautious due to this encounter. Who knows what could go wrong. He pressed a button on the arm device and a holographic map showed the area, an arrow pointed in the direction of Ponyville. He gave a look at the working drones before moving to where the arrow pointed.

00 25 minutes later…

Raiden neared the town, it was dusk. A few ponies strolled about, but tensely. Seemed word had gotten to the locals. Raiden took a deep breath before approaching the town.

“If I recall…the technology at this age is primitive, nothing but basic swords and spears.” Raiden mumbled to himself.

As he strolled down the street, a few ponies gave an occasional glance. They smiled nervously before resuming their daily doings. Raiden looked around cautiously, he remembered, three drones were scouting in the area. Steeltoe the Guard, Shadeyhoods the Foal, and Shocktastic the Cook. Raiden saw a group of Ponyville Guards, three of them. Two were conversing; one seemed to be on alert. Both Raiden and the guard glanced at each other. Raiden continued to stare until he noticed the guard’s eye flickered from blue to red. Steeltoe was in sight, one drone found. Both Raiden and Steel turned their attention away from each other.

“One down. Two more to go.” Raiden said mentally as he continued his search. There was a crowd of ponies standing in his way as he passed a corner, they were all looking at what seemed like a newspaper stand.

As he was passing a crowd of locals, a few foals were passing by. Something bumped into Raiden’s arm, he looked down to see a foal with a black colored sweatshirt, it had a hood as well covering their head. Two golden eyes partly hidden by the hood as well as the shade stared right back at sky blue ones. The golden eyes flickered red before resuming gold. Shadeyhood’s was found. Shade gave a childish smile along with a wave of his hoof. Raiden returned the gesture as well. Shade took one last look before running along to catch up with his friends.

“Two down. One more to go. Most likely a restaurant.” Raiden said mentally again. It didn’t take him too long to find Shocktastic.

“DON’T DO THAT!!! YOU IDIOT!!! YOU RUINED THE FOOD!!! YOU RUINED THE DISH!!!” a voice shouted loudly. All the customers seemed to be looking at the doors to the kitchen.

“Ehehehehe, sorry Sous-Chef Shock. I promise I won’t do it again!” a feminine voice replied nervously to the first voice.

“Just get another dish ready! And don’t screw up! Screwing up makes us lose profit! Your lucky Chef Ramzey ain’t here to kick your ass!” Shocktatsic’s voice said sternly.

Raiden raised a brow in amusement. As he went around in back, a blue colored pony in chef clothing walked out. He had a look of annoyance on his face, he opened a door to the storage, as he came out holding a box with the kinesis, he turned to notice Raiden staring at him. His onyx colored eyes flickered red. Another droid found. The droid looked away and closed the door and locking it and returned into the kitchen.

“Well, the droids seem to be doing well. Now…to see if I can get in contact with the mane 6.”

*Beep! *Beep!

“Hmm?” Raiden hummed as he unwrapped the bandages in an alley.

“Commander Raiden, this is Incinerator Drone. Apparently we found three ponies watching us. All three are foals.” A voice spoke.

“Foals you say?” Raiden said, he wasn’t too sure about what to do with children.

“Indeed sire. What should we do? It’s against the all laws of the Alliance, never to kill a defenseless child unless it is a disguise.” The droid replied.

“Is there a Master Sentinel’s nearby?” Raiden asked. (The same ones from Halo Series.)

“Yes master.” The drone replied.

“Have it erase their memories and place them back in the nearest town, preferably my location Ponyvile.”

“Acknowledged sir.” The drone said as the line cut.

0000 Cutie Mark Crusaders, Earlier

“C’mon this way!” Scootaloo chimed.

“Hold up Scoots, you’re going too fast!” Applebloom said.

“Yeah, slow down!” Sweetie Belle said with agreement.

Scootaloo only rolled her eyes before slowing her pace, allowing her friends to catch up.

“C’mon I think we’re close!” Scootaloo said. They heard some noised as if something was breathing loudly, and sound of fire. There was an odor in the air as well. The three ducked into bush and slowly peered out, what they saw amazed the Crusaders.

There were silver colored creatures moving about, ten which seem to be flying. How they flew the Crusader didn’t know, but they were too amazed to care. The flying creatures seemed to be carrying things before burning them with blast of fire.

“Whoa…this is cool! We found aliens!” Scootaloo said with a grin, Applebloom and Sweetie Belle had small grins as well.

*Beep! Beep!

The sudden noise got their attention and they turned to see one of the floating creatures looking right back at them, its single glowing blue eyes stared at them.

“Uh oh.” The three fillies said in union.

00 Present

“What are they gonna do Scoots?!” Applebloom asked in fear, her friend didn’t give an answer ash she was cowering in fear. Sweetie Belle was in the same state.

A few beeps and clicking came from the creatures. A larger one, this was golden colored approached them. All three fillies stared at it, a gentle light flowed from it wrapping around the fillies. They yawned as they felt sleepy; one by one they fell into deep sleep. Their memories taken away from what just occurred. The sentinels proceeded to gently lift the bodies with kinesis and take the fillies home.
