A World of Choices

Chapter One: Where am I?
The air is moist and humid and there are birds chirping. You wake up on the uneven ground, and you sit up to take a look around.
"where am I?" you ask, which was a good question, where are you? You see that you are in a small clearance in a forest,
but not big enough for light to enter through the thick canopy. There was light emitting from beside you, and the source was a flashlight.

You recognised the flashlight, it is the one your parents bought you a few years back, which you keep beside your bed in case you
wake up in the middle of the night.

You pick up the flashlight, and stand up. "How did I get in this forest?" you ask no one in particular. You start walking forward to the
edge of the clearing. That was when you noticed that the trees looked slightly different, sort of cartoonish. The grass and the flowers
looked that way too. The forest was sort of familiar, but you couldn't put your finger on the source.

After walking around the clearance, you notice a small path leading into the forest. You shrug, "All paths must lead somewhere" you thought,
before walking along the path, being guided by the light in front of you. The path winded a bit, as it cut through the trees, and past rocks

It felt like you had walked for hours, before reaching another clearing. This clearing had sunlight pouring through the canopy, and according
to the sun, it looked like it was around 3pm. Inside the clearing there seemed to be a obelisk of some kind, which was red and yellow.

You run over to it, and run your hand over it. It felt like....fur, and it was breathing. The obelisk unfolded to reveal a large beast,
with the head of a lion, wings of a dragon, and a scorpion tail. It was a Manticore. You recognised it immediately, it was the one from the
television show, "My Little Pony-Friendship is Magic". Your thought process was interrupted when the manticore swung his paw at your head,
claws unfurled. You duck just in time, before running away from the beast. You didn't decide to take the path, instead you went straight through
the trees. After what you thought was 10 minutes of running, you arrive at another pathway. You could hear the manticore running behind you,
but you couldn't see it.

"Which way to go?" you thought, both ways looked identical. You turn your head again to see the manticore in the distance.
"Quick, I need to decide" You say.
