*meanwhile in ponyville, the citizens were enjoying a peaceful night when suddenly an omnious shadowed figure rose out of the ground, it scanned the area with it's crimson red eyes, it slithered towards town hall, the mayor was standing outside of the building* I will not let you destroy this monument, gaurds protect this building  at all costs! Mayor mare said. * the shadowed figure just stood there, glaring at the mayor, then without warning the shadowed figure had the mayor by her neck, the creature glared at the mayor, with its crimson red eyes, it opened it's mouth, revealing it's massive fangs, it held the mayor close to it's face and it let loose a bloodcurdling shriek, after it did that it squeezed it's talons around the mayor's neck *crack!* *the mayor was killed. After it killed the mayor, the shadowed creature threw the corpse of the mayor to the ground, as a warning to those who dare try to oppose it as it carried out it's duty. It slithered into the town hall to erect a  crystal monument. It let out an eagle shriek as it raised it's arms and stomped its feet to the ground as immense energies coursed throught the ground as a cyan blue crystal shot out of the ground, destroying the town hall in the process. The crystal emited a bolt of lightning rendering the pegasi completely unable to fly, the crystal shot out a beam this time the beam was a magic dampening field completely rendering the unicorn magic useless. The shadow creature was satisfied with its work. The creature flew off to its next target the Crystal empire to aid its double in the construction of the shadow crystal pillars. My brother I have raised the crystal, just like you asked. It seems that you have killed the mayor? The creature asked. I have strangled her! It sneered, good lord eredon will be pleased with our work! The creature said. The two shadow morphs began the ritual of the raising of the plasma pillars to trap the citizens of the crystal empire underneath the shroud of shadows unable to escape their prison.
