His introvertedness was the only quality others saw in him. He didn't care. He would probably have gone insane if it was not for this new lifestyle he had adopted. Being a brony made life almost bearable. Little did he know, his life was about to take a turn. And knowledge of "irrelevant" and "fictional" things, places, and ponies could be the only thing that kept him going. Please enjoy. Whisked Away: Chapter 1: Forgotten Intentions. For Felix it was another dreary day. Same School. Same Friends. Same Family. Same Life. But, in a way, he was fortunate. Life asked for very little. Felix was a thin boy, just over the age of fourteen. He was little over six feet tall, and he had long, blonde hair. some people said that his outside the box thinking got him out of many difficult situations. That was yet to be seen. Felix enjoyed being around nature. Especially during Autumn. The dazzling shades of orange, red, and gold made Felix think just a little bit more about his point in life. He found himself among nature more often than around friends, which was odd for a boy his age. But the truth was, and is, just that. He was odd. Different. Sure, it left him excluded at social gatherings, but that was what he wanted. to be alone. Felix left on his bike towards the nearest nature park, lost in thought. He wandered aimlessly among the trees, waving between them skillfully. His A.D.D prevented him from extreme bouts of concentration, but little concentration was needed. It was just another nature ride, right? Wrong. The first sign that Felix noticed that something was amiss was that he was shaking. Violently. His mind was reeling. It can't be wind, and I can't feel anything cold. what's going on?" He whispered to himself. Dismissing it as paranoia, he kept going. But, a few seconds later, he was stopped cold in his tracks. He could see, or at least he thought he could see, A forest. not the Autumn-tinted forest around him, but a forebodeing place. His head started pounding. This was something more than natural. more than fictional. Felix collapsed off his bike onto the road. His vision started darkening. He struggled against it, but he couldn't resist the cold, dark embrace of sleep. His vision blackened until he could see no more. Felix tried to imagine how long he was out for. Hours? Days? Months? He couldn't even begin to wrap his head around what happened. But he did wake up. In the foreboding forest. As he scrambled drowsily to his feet, the only thing that were immediately brought to his attention were the strange undergrowth. Roots were snaking across the ground like tentacles. The only light source was a weird, glowing flower. Felix decided it was best to get out of the forest before something happened. This seems like the Everfree forest. He joked to himself. He had no idea how right he was. He also had no idea that something was watching him. And it was preparing to strike. Nostalgic WhispersWhisked Away: Chapter 2: Nostalgic Whispers The creature struck Felix from behind, catching him off guard and momentarily winding him. He recovered almost instantly, though the inital impact briefly stunned him. A quick glance summed up his attacker. A rooster's head and a long, scaled tail. Felix felt his mouth go dry. A Cockatrice. His heart pounded. Felix quickly glanced away befoure it could make eye contact. If i look into his eyes, it's all over. Felix remebered. So he Didn't look. He ran. Felix shot away from the Cockatrice like a sidewinder missile. the Cockatrice couldn't even regain it's balance before Felix was out of sight. Felix leaped over the roots like hurdles and dodged around and under low hanging branches. His adrenaline was pumping. He was lucky to be so slender, he pondered briefly, as his agility proved to be invaluable. Felix ran. and ran. and ran. Until finally he burst out of the forest's outer walls. he stood in the middle of a small meadow. It can't be safe yet. It must still be following me. He continued away for a short while, hoping that the cockatrice gave up chase. Felix considered his options. There's no way I'll be able to make it back through the forest. I'm not suicidal. I need to find someone who can help me, though. If there is anyone out here. Felix quickly glanced at the sky. The pale orange bruising on the horizion dictated night was falling. I'm exausted after that sprint. I should find somewhere to spend the night. Felix found an apple tree. Not much, but still the best he had. He settled down for the night, letting one final sigh out as sleep enveloped him. *** Felix awoke to the sound of children playing. Was it all a dream? Was he back home? The sight of the apple tree denied any hope of redemtion from this weird series of events. Then he thought back for a second. Children. Playing. Looks like there are inhabitants after all. He thought to himself. Felix pinpointed the noise to be just over the hill behind the tree. He started getting excited as he scaled the hill. What awaited him? He pondered everything that might happen. That could happen. He thought of everything. Everything but what did happen. Three small ponies were running around in the field just over the hill. Three small ponies that Felix recognized instantly. A small orange pegasus, a small white unicorn, and a small yellow earth pony. Scootaloo, Sweetie Belle, and Applebloom. Felix's mind went blank. He was literally frozen in shock. The three were arguing about something that Felix was just out of range of hearing. I'll have to communticate with them some way or another. What's the worst that could happen? He thought to himself. Felix started climbing down the other side of the hill when a loud squeal made him freeze in his tracks again. "Alien!" the three girls shouted in unison. Just as Twilight Sparkle entered the clearing. "Oh, Dear..." Felix whispered. He decided to try and talk to them. To tell them that it was just a misunderstanding. Maybe to ask for help? But Twilight didn't look like she was in a mood to reason. She seemed to be deep in thought. I don't think that she knows what I am. Felix quickly realized. The three girls ran off. Felix flinched. Twilight's horn began to glow. She knows all sorts of strange spells. I doubt most are friendly! Stealthy InstinctsWhisked Away: Chapter 4: Stealthy Instincts Felix had been travelling all day after his encounter with the ponies. It had been almost 5 hours and the sun was already below the horizon. For the first time, in a long time, he felt strangely thrilled. Felix couldn't understand why. His favourite cartoon characters hated him, he was lost, and he had only a faint idea of what to do. Maybe it was the prospect of adventure. He hoped the princesses would understand him. He knew the the main way to Canterlot was by train. He was fortunate to have come out of Ponyville near where the train passed through the mountian. There was absolutely no way that he could sneak in at the station. Felix would have to find a different way on. He would have to jump onto a cart. He wasn't scared. not at all. He was thrilled. A train's horn bellowed nearby. That was fast. Just as the train passed below he leaped onto the top of the cart, flailing his arms for balance. Though Felix landed with his balance, the loud bang he created as his feet impacted the cart made him cringe inside. Even more so when he heard the voice from inside. "What was that?" Applejack's voice floated out of the cart below. "I don't know, but I need to study whatever that thing was." Twilight replied. She added, "Rainbow, could you go check it out?" Felix could hear movement within the cart as hooves trod across metal. They couldn't know he was there. He needed to get out of sight. And fast. Felix quickly grabbed hold of the ladder and made his way down between the carts. He doused the lantern that was hanging above him and he judged his surroundings. The ponies were in front of him. He stealthily made his way into the cart heading away from them. Felix heard Rainbow dash behind him. "It must have been a rock or something, guys." Rainbow called as she re-entered her cart. The carts were filled with sleeping ponies. None of them awoke as he passed. Felix continued on his way without interruption. He finally reached the storage section of the train. He knew it would be a good place to stow away. As good a place as any, he thought. When Felix finally awoke he found that the train was no longer moving. He stealthily climbed out the back and checked his surroundings. he was in a warehouse. a lone window flooded the surprisingly large building with light. Moonlight. He still had time. As he made his way through the city of unicorns, he noticed that the large open spaces an aesthetic add-ons to the city made it surprisingly easy to not get found. The small amount of freerunning practices Felix had gotten before had helped immensly as he jumped from rooftop to rooftop. The normally bustling city almost seemed like a ghost town in comparison to some of the earlier episodes. He reached the castle before too long. Felix was just about to consider it an easy task before he stopped dead in his tracks. Guards paced the walls, and every turret, window, and door seemed to have a guard patrolling it. Twilight must have warned her brother, Shining Armour. And what had originally been an adventure may end up being the hardest task of his life. Back Against The WallWhisked Away: Chapter 5: Back Against The Wall Felix had really bitten off more than he could chew this time. He needed to infiltrate Canterlot castle, and why? Because he knew that the Princesses somehow held the knowledge of what A basic fourteen-year-old boy like Felix was doing in the mystical land, Equestria. Felix knew that he had little time before daybreak, and that he would need to make it quick. He knew that his dark clothes would be seen almost instantly in the sunlight. He decided his point of entry was a small window that appeared unguarded. But he knew that there were guards around somewhere. Now would be a great time for a cloaking device. Felix thought grimly as he made his way into the castle. The window was unguarded, but not for long. Felix knew that he stood no chance along the many paths on the walls. He decided that the best course of action was to stay hidden, in any way possible. Does this castle have a basement? he thought quickly. It would probably be the least guarded path. Felix heard voices around the next corner. Two guards were talking about the sightings of him in ponyville. He tried to listen to their converstation. "...the most bizarre thing i've heard of. But, the Princess's apprentice said she saw it..." one guard pointed out. the other nodded. "I heard that Princess Celestia and Princess Luna are holding a meeting with them. Makes for one hell of a story." Felix's heart skipped a beat. Twilight was meeting with the princesses? Today? He had less time than he had realized. Felix silently sneaked behind the two guards and continued his way down the hall. Felix didn't know what was worse, the fact that the fortress was absolutely swarming with guards, or that fact that the castle was one giant maze. His A.D.D affected it brutally. Soon Felix thought that everything looked different than it had before, small details that he would notice. A vase here, a guard there. He must have been wandering in the castle for at least an hour. Until it seems luck had bestowed upon him. Felix noticed the door to Princess Celestia's room, down the hall from where he was skulking in the shadows. Two guards stood outside the door like hawks. He knew there was no way he'd be able to sneak past them. Then Felix remembered. Didn't Celestia have a balcony? I could sneak out a window and over to it... Felix thought. He wasn't a great climber, and his acrophobia affected him more than most others, but he knew he had to do it. Felix made his way back around until he got to the window. The security in the place is terrible. I haven't even been noticed yet! Felix mused as he glanced out. He looked down. Bad idea. Felix assumed instantly as he began to feel ill. He climbed out onto the outside of the great castle. Don't look down. He repeated to himself as he scaled across to the balcony. He knew consiously well that he stand out like black ink on paper. Black clothes on marble brick. Though it felt like forever, he finally made it to the balcony. He needed to check inside the room. Felix slowly opened the door into Celestia's quarters. She wasn't there. She must be at the meeting. Felix waited for about three minutes, lost in thought. His doubts were starting to overcome him. What did Twilight tell her? will she even believe me? He continued pondering until he heard a voice outside. It sounded noble, elegant, and kind. Princess Celestia! he knew that she would come! But the next part came as a shock to him. The Princess was being escorted by Twilight and Rainbow! "I know that the libraries hold nothing. I had been trying to do my own research-" Celestia broke off as she noticed Felix standing in the dead center of the room. "There it is!" Twilight shouted. The two friends and the Princess assembled in a line. There was no escape. Felix darted back out onto the balcony. He was thinking quickly. I couldn't possibly get past them, and I couldnt climb back to the window without getting shot off. Felix pondered quickly. Then it hit him. The only possible way out of the situation. Felix turned around to see them standing behind him standing there. "Give up, Alien. you're trapped." Princess Celestia said in a gentle tone. Felix stepped up onto the railing. "What do you think you're doing?" Rainbow asked. Felix was torturing himself with his descision. He spread his arms out. And leaned backwards, over the edge. He heard them all gasp as he felt nothing but the embrace of acceleration. The Enemy Of My EnemyWhisked Away: Chapter 6: The Enemy Of My Enemy Felix was falling. Fast. His thoughts raced through his mind faster than he was accelerating. He remembered his childhood. His fifth birthday. His pet cat, Frost. He thought of his descision to drop, and now it seemed even more stupid. He could see Twilight, Rainbow, and Celestia watching him as he plummeted towards his inevetable fate. He closed his eyes as he waited for death. Felix heard leaves crackle around him and branches break. A lance of pain shot through his left shoulder, he tumbled through the shrubbery, getting cut on every twig and branch, until finally he felt himself fall again. Wait, again? Felix wondered. He opened his eyes. He was lying on his back, staring at the underside of a tree. Did it break my fall? Is that tree the only reason I'm alive? He felt blood gushing out of his shoulder. A branch had come loose and and had impaled his arm. He pulled the branch out with his remaining hand, screaming as pain shot through his veins like fire. Felix struggled against the pain, climbing onto his feet. He was covered in small cuts and bruises. I'm fortunate that my arm took the worst of it. Felix realized, not wanting to imagine if his head had been so unfortunate. He limped out from under the tree, but too late had he realized that he had given away that he was still alive. "Hey! Where do you think you're going?" Rainbow Dash yelled. Felix turned to see Rainbow Dash launch herself off the balcony, charging him. He realized he couldn't run without getting taken down. He braced for the impact. Rainbow tackled him harder than the cockatrice had done earlier in his adventure. He cringed as Rainbow dragged him to the ground. Rainbow's purple eyes gleamed only mere inches from his own. Felix was struggling to get up, but it was no use. Rainbow had pinned him. He stopped struggling, giving in to the fact that it would be impossible to win. Dash released her grip slightly. "That was easy!" She gloated. Seeing his chance, Felix summoned all the strength he could muster and kicked upwards heavily. It hit Rainbow squarely in the chest. Felix could see the shock in her eyes as she stumbled off him, winded. Felix wasted no time in getting to his feet, adrenaline pumping. He knew that she would recover quickly, and Felix took the chance. He kicked upwards, hitting the startled pony directly in the chin. Felix brought his foot back down, slamming her head into the ground as it met its target. Rainbow Dash didn't move. She was unconsious. Felix didn't know whether to feel guilty or relieved at the sight of the unconsious athlete, but he knew he had to get away before anything else happened. He knew that Celestia wouldn't be quite as easy to trick. Felix ran off, grasping his injured shoulder, and regretting his descision thoroughly. The last thing he was as he glanced back was Celestia standing over the cyan mare, while Twilight glared after him. That glare was the only thing Felix remembered as he started his journey back to ponyville. *** Felix had been travelling for three days. Though he tried to the best of his ability, he couldn't prevent the ineveitable. His shoulder was infected. The pain was excruciating. He knew that he stood no chance of fighting the infection, and that nothing in this world would be willing to help him. He had made slow progress, in between resting his arm and checking on his other scratches. He was covered in small scabs and bruises as his body entered it's natural healing stage. If it ever does. Felix thought as he cast a sour glance at his arm. For the first time in his life, Felix felt genuinely alone. No one in this new world cared for him. Even back on earth, he had family and friends to help him cope through things he couldn't handle himself. Now Felix knew that he'd be captured or even killed just for asking for help from even the most humble pony. He came to rest on a log. This is terrible. I thought my luck was bad before, but now? I just want to curl up somewhere and die. Felix thought sadly. He had just lowered his head when a voice spoke behind him. "Hello, young one." Felix raised his head immediately. That voice.... No, it can't be... Felix's thought raced as he tried to come up with a logical explanation. That sly, serpentile voice could only belong to... Felix slowly glanced over his shoulder. "Queen Chrysalis!" He exclaimed. It was indeed her. Every feature on her was even more vivid than Felix remembered. Everything from her green, snake-like eyes to the many holes lining her legs caused this villian from the episodes to seem even more horrifying than he had remembered. Felix was the most scared he had ever been in his life. "Oh, you know of me, do you?" Chrysalis whispered, faking surprise. "Such a smart boy, aren't you?" Felix quickly realized that her appearing without disguise must either mean she wanted something. He wondered if she wanted him dead. Chrysalis continued. "I have noticed your feats in these past few days, outsmarting and escaping almost everything those ponies threw at you." she mentioned, as she began to pace around Felix in a circle. "All that skill wasted just because all of them are too blind to notice your talents." She's trying to win me over with compliments. Felix realized. "What do you want, Chrysalis?" He called. She stopped pacing. "Only your help, child." Chrysalis whispered in his ear. Felix recoiled as he realized she had teleported behind him. "What do you mean?" Felix replied uneasily. She proceeded. "I have noticed your skills, not only your ability to find a way out of any situation, but your exceptional combat skills. I notice you took out the Element of Loyalty quite efficiently." Chrysalis told him. She turned around and looked him in the eye. "Little did you know, but i have been watching from the very beginning." Felix was shocked. Chrysalis had been watching him the whole time? "I notice you seem to have injured yourself." Chrysalis's voice broke him out of his thoughts. "Fortunately, I know a little bit of healing magic." Felix watched as she poked his injured shoulder with her horn. Felix winced. A faint green light protruded from Chrysalis's horn, as Felix's arm slowly started to heal over. His arm felt better almost instantly. "Now that that's dealt with, I have a little favour to ask of you." Chrysalis revealed. Felix glanced up. "What is it?" Felix replied, unsure of what she could possibly want. Other than control of Equestria. Felix considered. She was dead serious now. "I need a show of loyalty first, dear Felix." She sighed as a small knife materialized in front of her. It dropped to the ground. "This will be your weapon." she stated. Felix examined the knife closely. It was about a foot long, serrated, and blacker than the darkest night. It looked sharp enough to cut diamond. "I need you to return to the Everfree." Chrysalis continued finally. "And kill that pesky little cockatrice that tried to kill you, hm?" ExorcismWhisked away: Chapter 7: Exorcism Felix had no idea where to start. He had just been sent off from Queen Chrysalis into the Everfree Forest, to kill the cockatrice that he encountered not a minute after he entered this strange world. If Celestia didn't trust me before, she certainly won't trust me now. Felix though grimly as he remembered the changeling queen's orders. All he needed to do was find it. The rest would take care of itself. Right? He knew that there was no hope of finding him while wandering at random, so he decided to go back to where he started. Great. Now if I could only remember where that was. Felix racked his brain trying to remember the scenery around him when he was first attacked. All he remembered from his sprint was the sound of his heart pounding, wind rushing through his hair, and the many coiled branches that enveloped the path. That really narrows it down. He though frustratedly. Felix then remembered another inhabitant of the Everfree. Zecora. The mysterious zebra that resided in the Everfree Forest, who spoke in rhymes and, until recently, was a character Felix had hoped to meet. Surely Twilight must have already told Zecora about me. He remembered back when he was in Canterlot. That guard was right, it must make for a hell of a story. Felix mused, trying to take his mind off of the gloomy surroundings. The dagger Chrysalis had gave him seemed to be the only thing that kept him focused on his goal. A changeling queen wouldn't act without reason. If she wanted me dead, she would have killed me already. The only reason I'm doing this is because I want to kill that abomination. Not to show loyalty to her. Felix honestly didn't need anyone else finding out about this mission. He was sure that the ponies already considered him a freak, nevermind a minion of Chrysalis. A rustling in the bushes startled him out of his thoughts. It can't be the cockatrice. It's too small... "Come on, crusaders! I'm sure we'll get our cutie marks in here somewhere!" Why do the crusaders have to be here? Felix thought irritably. He knew there was no time to hide. The trio had run off screaming before Felix could even draw breath. Oh, great. Judging by their reactions, that had to be a lot more than just previous experience. What rumors have been spread about me? Then something else dawned on him. Those three aren't just going to keep quiet about seeing me. I'm sure news of me infiltrating Canterlot castle has reached these ponies by now. And I'm sure Rainbow will want revenge. Felix looked down at the knife in his hand. I hope I won't have to use this on a pony. Felix considered what to do next. He knew that he would need to travel deeper into the forest. With a heavy sigh, he trudged onwards. First i have to hunt a cockatrice, and now I'm sure that they'll send ponies after me as well. I doubt that my "crimes" will go unpunished. Felix swallowed uneasily. Celestia won't be here... I hope. "Well, the outcome of this day is sure to be interesting." Felix said to himself. I'm just overthinking. I really need to stop, before I drive myself to the point of insanity. It was not long before Felix found himself nearing a steep ravine. The cockatrice must live somewhere near here. If Chrysalis wanted me to kill a cockatrice, why didn't she just give me a mirror? Felix knew he had to focus. The cockatrice could show up at any time, and he needed to be ready. Felix suddenly felt like he was being watched. It has to be him. I can't look now, it wants me to look. Felix knew that the time had come. The cockatrice was behind him. Felix waited for it to strike him. To let it's guard down. When it did, he was ready. The second Felix felt the cockatrice crash into him, he rolled and took it with him. Just one quick move and It's all over. Felix remembered. With his knife in hand, he kicked the beast off. Felix kept his eyes glued on the serpent's body, careful not to make eye conact. Felix feinted, and the cockatrice lowered its guard. It was only for a second, but it was all the time Felix needed. A quick slash of the knife over the cockatrice's throat was all it took to end the battle. Felix watched as the beast crashed to the ground. He sat down, feeling as if his burden had been eased. The demon that he encountered only two days ago was dead. I'll have to return to Chrysalis now. He watched the sun set over the trees in the distance, marking the start of his third night in Equestria. As Felix stood up to leave, he didn't notice a certain Rainbow-maned pegasus watching from a cloud above him. RevelationsWhisked away: Chapter 8: Revelations Felix rushed back through the forest, aware that he was being followed. By who or what, he wasn't sure. But he knew that he didn't have the energy or focus to deal with whatever it was. It's been at least a day since I last slept. Felix noted. He continued along the barely visible forest path. A lound snap! behind Felix made him jump. He quickly whirled around, but to no avail. his pursuer had already disappeared. I don't like this. Felix thought. Who's following me? He continued, uneasy now that he was positive that someone, or something, was following him. He made it out of the forest without further interruption. Queen Chrysalis was sitting in the clearing, acting as if nothing had happened. She noticed him instantly. "You're finally back!" She cheered in her sly voice. "You did well, young one." Felix sighed. "Well, I killed a cockatrice. What's next?" Queen Chrysalis opened her mouth to reply, only to be interrupted by a gasp at the edge of the clearing. Rainbow Dash was standing there. "I knew it!" She yelled. Dash ran off before any conversation could be made. Felix felt a chill go up his spine. Well, now it's official. They're bound to know I was working for Chrysalis eventually, but, now... He slowly shook his head. Suddenly something dawned on him. "Queen Chrysalis, do you know why the ponies hate me?" Felix asked. The changeling queen took her time in responding. "Of course, boy. A different one of your species showed up in this world about a week before you. It went absolutely crazy, killed quite a few ponies. Oh, but poor Daisy got what was coming for her." She replied. Felix's blood went cold. The only reason nobody trusts me is because one of my kind killed others? That's why the crusaders are so afraid of me... "Is that the only reason?" Felix inquired. "I assume you defeating young Rainbow destroyed any hope that you might be peaceful." Chrysalis told him. "But there's no reason to worry. Because you're with me now." She finished. Well, isn't that just lovely. *** Felix settled down for the night in a nearby cave. Chrysalis had sent him off on another mission, deeming he was "Truly loyal to her." Felix sighed as sleep washed over his consiousness. He awoke just before the moon set. I'm starving. I should make a quick stop by sweet apple acres, try to steal some apples. Felix's conscience kicked in. Steal? Apples? From Applejack? Why am I resorting to this? Felix realized that his stay in Equestria had changed him. And whatever happened to the last human that came here? Felix had too many questions, and no answers. At this rate the sun will be at it's peak before I have even started! He shook off the last of his doubt as he made his way to ponyville. Felix managed to steal enough apples to satisfy his appetite. He passed by the small creek he had used to initally escape Rainbow. Felix stopped and looked into his reflection. He knew his reflection well, as most people do. But what he saw today was a viscous reminder of what his new life in Equestria was like. His clothes were torn, and he was covered in small scabs. Dirt was smeared across his face and arms, and, as he loooked closer, he could swear he saw a haunted look in his eyes. What have I become? Felix washed most of the dirt off, but he found it was getting harder and harder to stay focused on his task. Chrysalis didn't even tell me what to do. She just told me where to go, saying "You'll know what to do." Yeah, right. A sudden scream interrupted his thoughts. Did someone find me? Felix thought, wildly glancing around. The scream had come just over the hill from where he was. Wait. That voice... Was that Fluttershy? He rushed over the hill, wondering the possibilites of what it might be. Maybe the other human? Felix made it to the top and looked down at the scene unfolding below him. It was indeed Fluttershy, who was cowering at the base of some rocks that edged the bottom of the hill. A snarling wolf had her cornered. I'd rather not get involved, but I can't just leave her like this! Felix thought desperately. He looked once again at the knife Chrysalis gave him. I haven't changed. I'm still me. I need to do something. Felix decided. he sprinted down the hill and landed beween Fluttershy and the wolf. He raised the knife. "You'll touch her over my dead body!" Felix shouted at the beast. It seemed uneasy now that it was outnumbered, but it lasted no more than a second. The wolf lunged and bit into Felix's wrist. He supressed a cry of pain and swung the knife at the it. The wolf leapt away nimbly before his weapon met it's mark. Focus. Wait for it to let it's guard down. The wolf lunged again. everything appeared to be moving in slow motion. Felix's timing was perfect. He watched as the dark blade dissapeared into the carnivores's neck. It's body crashed into Felix, toppling him over. The wolf's eyes slowly glazed over. Felix had won. Remembering Fluttershy, Felix pushed off the wolf's body and retreived his weapon. He turned to Fluttershy, and she was still cowering at the base of the rock. Felix made his way over to her. She looked up at him in fear. he crouched and put his knife on the ground. "I'm not going to hurt you." He gently whispered to her. She looked up, curiosity overcoming her fear. Fluttershy stood a few seconds later, building up enough courage to say "Th-thank you mister." Felix smiled. "You should get home before anything else shows up." He told her. She nodded and began to slowly walk away casting glances at him over her shoulder as she left. Felix's heart felt lighter than it had in days. BetrayalWhisked Away: Chapter 9: Betrayal Felix silently made his way through the forest, his thoughts brooding on the recent events. I just saved Fluttershy's life. His then remembered his mission. He was nearing the place where Chrysalis had told him to go. Felix emerged through the trees to find three changelings arguing in the center of a small clearing. They instantly stopped as he made his way down. "I assume you're the ones that Chrysalis wanted me to meet?" He inquired. They glanced at each other. "Yeah." they replied, a little quicker than usual. I don't trust these guys. They seem too suspicious. But, what choice do I have? Felix thought. "Well, what does your queen will me to do?" Felix asked eventually. "You need to make your way back to Canterlot. Others will meet you there." The third one replied. Easy enough. "Well, I guess I'm out." Felix decided. He started making his way back up the hill. He was out of the small wooded area soon enough. Why do I have a bad feeling about this? It's not like me to be paranoid. Sure enough, He encountered no difficulties while making his way back along the border of Ponyville. I don't see why Chrysalis didn't just send me straight to Canterlot. It's not like making such a long trip did anything. Wait, except help Fluttershy. Felix felt warm just thinking about it. *** The moon slowly rose behind Felix as he jogged the final stretch to the train tunnel. He gripped his knife tightly in his hand. I've done this before. It should be easier this time, right? No sooner than Felix had reached the top of the hill had he heard the train's whistle blow. As he glanced to his right, he was it coming up the mountianside. Well, that's convenient. Too convenient. Felix had no time to think about it before it started entering the tunnel below. Get ready. Now! Felix leaped onto the cart with perfect accuracy, wincing once again as the loud noise the metal made as he landed. Suddenly a multi-colored streak shot out of the car below him and turned to charge him. Rainbow Dash. Time slowed down. Felix felt each agonizingly slow moment as he tried to evade. But Dash was ruthless, focused on her target. "I have you now!" She yelled as she tackled Felix with a force that put the cockatrice to shame. Time sped up again as Felix felt himself falling, propelled by Rainbow's quickly beating wings. He smashed into the ground, stunning him, as he could only watch his knife slide away from him. Dash had him pinned. "You're not getting away this time!" She snarled. Felix thrusted his legs upwards as he had done before, but she was already expecting that. She dodged flawlessly. Before Felix could attempt again, he was barraged by Dash's hooves. He could only do his best to protect his face from the merciless pegasus' blows. Felix started to feel himself slide down the dirt hill, the angry pegasus still ruthlessly beating away. Suddenly he felt open air below him, as Dash let go. He didn't have time to regain focus before his head smashed into the rock below. Solid rock. As his vision blurred, Felix saw Rainbow fly off into the hills. He couldn't move. The last thing he felt as a black wave enveloped his vision was the moisture of his blood pooling around his head. MemoriesWhisked Away: Chapter 10: Memories Reality seemed to fade around Felix as his thoughts retreated. Is this the end? Where I die? Felix's subconsious began to kick in. Suddenly, against his will, Felix remembered everything. Everything. _________________________________________________________________ Felix was running alongside his brother on the edge of their small town, Rememberance. It was the year 2174, and the threat of nuclear winter was being held over the two powerful nations in control: The Paladins, who sought reform and chaos, who happened to have questionable motives, And The Dragoons, who sought freedom and peace. Rememberance was plot on safe land near what was Dublin, Ireland. It was a Paladin-controlled settlement. The Paladins held all of what was Asia, Africa, and Europe, whil the Dragoons held what was North and South America, as well as Australia. Antarctica had been declared No man's land due to nuclear fallout. Both Felix's father and mother were in the Paladins, fighting for their beliefs and their homeland. At the time, Felix, though only five years old, knew the hardships of war. He had lost a friend of his, Alexander, to a mutated cow outside the settlement. The only beacon of hope in Felix's life was his eighteen year old brother, Ruben. Felix had been born and raised in Rememberance, but all good things must come to an end. Felix was shocked by how vivid the memory was. He had been eating breakfast with Ruben when a sudden knock at the door distracted him. Ruben answered the door instantly. "Mom!" he had cheered. "Dad!" It had indeed been them. Felix remembered rushing to embrace his parents, hugging them happily. But something was amiss. His parents had told Ruben to take Felix to a city called "Rebirth" where the Paladins wouldn't find us. "We're being... Executed for treason today. I need you two to escape before they do something to you, too." He remembered his father saying. Felix could barely remember his father. The next thing he remembered was him landing in this strange new city called Rebirth. It was located not far southwest of what used to be Halifax. Felix's next memory was his new school. He had always been outcasted because of his roots, but he knew that it didn't matter. Felix was now seven, and Ruben had taken over as his legal guardian at the age of twenty-one. Ruben had joined the city's defence force, hoping to make money while staying close to Felix. Life had, at the time, seemed good. But the memory of his parents still haunted him, as Felix knew that they had loved him. His next memory was the worst of all. It was from August 13th, 2181. At the age of twelve, Felix had been sitting in the park with Ruben when sirens starting going off. Paladins were attacking the settlement. Ruben had handed Felix a pistol saying: "Only use this if you need to." Ruben had run off to join the defence, telling Felix to head home. Felix had never run so fast. He encountered trouble as he approached his school. Dragoon troopers were engaged by Paladins. He decided to take a longer route, around the back of his school. This still haunted Felix. A single Paladin had been running through the alley, effectively cutting him off. He told Felix to get aginst the wall. Felix complied, scared of what the enemy might do to him. Then he remembered the pistol. The trooper had started a call on his comm to what Felix assumed was the Paladin's commander. his back was turned to Felix, and Felix knew that the Paladins didn't care about civilian's lives. Felix still regretted his descision. It was over quickly. Felix had shot off five rounds into him, the recoil devastating to his small arms. The trooper had fallen dead instantly. Felix had felt nauseous, and he vomited on the ground. After three solid minutes of crying, he had built up enough courage to leave. The rest was a blur. Until the worst part happened. Ruben had been wounded. Badly. Felix had stayed in the waiting room for hours until finally the doctor came and told him the news. Ruben had died. Felix burst into tears at this, not knowing how to respond. Felix remembered being driven to the orphanage, and being introduced to some of the other children. He had been given a room, though Felix still had trouble sleeping that night. The next morning Felix was going down for breakfast when he had heard something playing on the TV in the room next to him. Some orphans were watching a show. Felix still remembered the name. "My Little Pony: Frendship is Magic." It had been aired last century, but they were rerunning every episode. Felix had spent most of his time in the orphanage watching that show, as it had been one of his many ways of coping. Luckily, he was adopted not long after. He continued to watch the show for two years. On his Fourteenth birthday he was given rights to go outside the city limit, as Rebirth had been a quiet enough city. He had been given a bike, and Felix found himself wanting to stay as close to nature. All the sights and sounds had a way of mending his broken heart. Every day, he would wander the forest's ancient paths, somethimes, though rarely, detouring to go to the ocean. He remembered his latest trip, going to a part of the forest he hadn't before. That ended well. Felix was aroused from his thoughts by a feminine voice. RedemptionWhisked Away: Chapter 11: Guardian Angel Felix's everything hurt. His head was throbbing so hard he was surprised he wasn't being thrown around. His vision was extremely blurry, covering everything in the room with a thick grey glow. He was in hell. But he was alive. How? Felix thought. He heard the voice again. Gentle, feminine. Felix's vision was slowly fading back in, revealing to him a thick palette of browns, yellows, and reds. When he was finally able to focus again, he realized he was staring at a roof. Felix tried to stand up, but was stopped by a shreik of protest from his muscles. He fell back into the soft bed. Wait... Is this Fluttershy's bed? What am I doing here? She must have found him. He smiled, though he released a sigh soon after. Why does this trip have to hurt so much? It's bad enough that most of the shenanagins I go through leave me scratched up, but this is my second major injury and I haven't even been here a week! Fluttershy suddenly opened the door, and let out a squeak of surprise when she saw Felix trying to stand up. Both of them stared at each other for a short while. Felix broke the silence. "What happened?" Fluttershy looked at her hooves. "I found you outside." She replied. "What was that?" Felix asked. "I found you outside." Felix smiled. "Well, thank you for saving me, 'Shy." He told her. She looked confused for a second. A sudden bang at the door made them both jump. "Hey! Anypony home?" Rainbow Dash's voice called out. Felix heard a door open. Well, shit. "You can't let her know I'm here!" Felix desperately whispered to Fluttershy. She stood there for a second, then nodded. Fluttershy left the room and closed the door. Felix reached his hand up and felt bandages wrapping around his head. Remembering Ruben had destroyed any feelings of optimism that he might have felt. I just hope Angel dosen't show up. That crazy bunny's sure to ruin everything. Felix tried to get up again, this time with more success. A pounding headache made it hard to focus. He found himself stumbling more than he was walking. But, after some trail and error, he managed to keep his balance. Felix's head still felt light after blood loss, but he knew it should fade in time. I couldn't have been out for long, Fluttershy dosen't have all the nessesary medical tools handy to treat a patient in a coma, as far as I can tell. Felix remembered the hardships this new world had brought, but it was a nice escape from the post-apoctalyptic earth. As Felix glanced out the window and took in all the sights of nature, he found it hard to imagine a world as pristine as this could one day look like the destroyed cities that he had called home. Fluttershy and Rainbow were talking somewhere below him, about what he couldn't tell. Felix hoped Fluttershy would at least do somewhat of a good job at keeping him hidden. He'd had enough to worry about as of late, and a raging Dash was the last thing he needed. Felix suddenly noticed something in his peripheral vision. A large, dark shape ominously lurked just down the path to Fluttershy's house. The black armour the bipedal creature wore stood out intensely among the colorful shades the forest offered. The small symbol the creature wore parallel to it's heart was a blue shield in front of crossed rifles. Paladin's armour. No! Not now! Why? The armour that had haunted Felix's dreams ever since Ruben's passing was quite alive, slowly crossing the path in front of the house. Felix felt relief as the tip of the soilder's rifle had entered the bushes behind it, signaling it's exit. But Felix's gut instinct told him that there was a greater reson to the soilder's appearance that just poor luck. the direction the soilder was heading in a north-northwest direction, towards Canterlot. Wait. Canterlot? The Paladins aren't diplomats, their 'religion' tells them to kill non-believers. That must mean that they're either trying to capture the city or... Felix swallowed hard. ...They're going to try and assassinate Princess Celestia. Felix knew that if the Paladins knew about the princesses, this world would be dragged into catastrophe soon enough. I can't let that happen. Felix determinedly thought as adrenaline coursed through his veins. Not caring if he gave himself away, Felix ran to the door and bolted downstairs. Dash and Flutters were staring at him in shock. Before either of them could move, Felix spoke. "I need to get to Canterlot as soon as possible. The princesses are in danger!" Dash's shock soon shifted into anger as she stood and started crossing the room. "You're lying." She declared. Felix felt all his anger welling up inside him. This was the one pony that had almost killed him- twice. Now she stood before him, openly defying the fact that Felix knew that the princesses were in danger. But Felix knew better than to start a fight; he was in no condition to win and he needed their support. Felix glared into Dash's eyes. "Whether you choose to believe me or not is trivial. But, I need your support if I'm to stop this world from ending up like my own. Please, drop your grudges and help me." Felix told snarled at Rainbow Dash. She seemed to cringe, which surprised Felix. A tear slowly slid down Dash's face. "I-I'm sorry. It's just that my mother was killed by one of your kind." She revealed to him. Felix felt a stroke of pity. He sighed. "I know the feeling. Both my parents and my brother were killed in the pointless war." He glanced up. "I know that you feel sad that it happened, angry at my race, and ashamed that you couldn't do anything about it. But, I need your help. We can stop this, together." Felix knew the emptyness of his promise, but he needed help to complete his task. The two pegasi started to whisper, and Felix could only guess what was being said. "We'll help you." Rainbow replied finally. The trip to Canterlot was uneventful. Felix had been allowed on the train peacefully only after Rainbow's and Fluttershy's insisting that he was 'harmless' and that he wouldn't hurt anyone on the train. 'Harmless'. We'll see about that. The time seemed to pass slowly as Felix stared out the window. The distant city of Canterlot was steadily growing closer, though it would be some time before they arrived there. A day at best. A doctor was aboard the train, and after some reassuring she agreed to check on Felix's head injury. The adrenaline had long since faded, and Felix felt tired and drained. The doctor assured Felix that it wasn't too major, and that it should properly heal in no time. Oddly enough, the train had all of the mane six on board. Rainbow had asked why. "Why, the summer sun celebration, you silly filly!" Pinkie pie had told her. Felix's heart skipped a beat. Celestia has to appear in public for the ceremony. The Paladins had all this planned. It took all the effort the girls could muster to insist that Felix didn't need a celebration party. Pinky had been adamant, but eventually agreed to hold it when they got back to Ponyville. Their voices slowly faded as Felix fell into an uneasy sleep. He woke at moonrise, to be escorted directly to an inn with Twilight chosen to be his warden, of sorts. Rarity had gone off to enjoy the sophistication of the city, while the others had wandered off to do their own things. Felix felt each moment agonizingly painful, while Twilight busied herself reading the books she had brought with her on the trip. Felix felt sleep taking hold again, and he asked Twilight to wake him an hour before the sun rose. "Why are we here and not out there?" Rainbow asked him. They had chosen to take up position just to the left of the stage, near the front. The moon was just setting below the horizon, and Felix knew that it would happen soon enough. The group was secluded, near some bushes that Felix had chosen as his hiding place. Humans were still considered beasts to equestrians, and staying out in the open couldn't possibly end well. When Felix noticed a small black gleam on the hill overlooking the ceremony, he knew he wasn't mistaken. Celestia entered his vision, and majestically strolled between the rows of guards. Felix knew that the moment had come. Time slowed down. Felix rushed from the bushes just as Celestia rose to the air, horn glowing. He leapt and tackled her, effectively moving her off-balance. A loud crack was heard and Felix screamed in agony as a bullet ruptured his heel. The princess regained herself quickly, staring in shock at the human that she remembered from only days ago, lying on the ground and panting. "Run! Now!" Felix shouted at her as she was escorted away by a group of guards. The crowed had scattered in panic, and the girls were staring in shock. Felix heard another crack as pain shot through his brain for no longer than a millisecond. Then everything went black. RebirthWhisked Away: Chapter 12: Rebirth Felix felt as if he was floating in a void. He was paralyzed. Every movement he attempted ended with no avail. Is this what it feels like to die? He thought. His mind was racing, one again forced to remember his childhood. Suddenly his thoughts were interrupted when he heard whispering. He strained to focus on it's location but it seemed to be... Inside his head? "Awaken." The voice said. What's going on? Why can't I see anything? Felix thought frustradedly, struggling to move or even open his eyes. "Awaken, Felix." The voice repeated, seeming more familiar this time. Felix suddenly felt as if he was falling into the void. "Awaken......Little.....Brother....." The voice repeated one last time. Ruben? Felix thought desperately. Suddenly his eyes flew open. He sucked lungful after lungful of cold, clean air, gasping and choking at his sudden revival. He was staring up at the sky, dark and tinged with.... smoke? I'm alive? How? And why did Ruben come to me just then? Felix wondered. He sat up and realised he was fine. His black hoodie no longer ripped, his legs no longer sore, and he definately wasn't dead. But he felt something strange, on his forehead. He reached up and felt along a scar, tracing it's way down across his eye and to the bottom of his chin. Where did this come from? Wait... Wasn't I shot in the forehead. Does that mean...? Felix swallowed nervously. It really happened. He unsteadily stood up, glancing at his surroundings. he was laying in a ditch beside a dirt path. Felix was in the woods that he enjoyed biking through so often. But... The trees were all leafless and looked like they were burnt. Ashes littered the ground, spread by a gentle breeze slinking through the once-beautiful forest. Felix noticed a small note on the ground. A note? Who left that here? He wondered. He slowly picked up the note and read it. On it were four words, written in blood. Be reborn from ashes. It was meant for Felix. The only ashes he could find were in the ditch, and near him. Did that mean...? "Someone or something is assisting my journey." He murmured. He glanced up at the sky again. Smoke was definately pouring from somewhere southwest of his position. Rebirth has been attacked. He realized with a feeling of dread. He ran up to the path, and started to sprint towards the smoke's starting point. He heard a sudden barking start up behind him, and he glanced back to notice a squad of Paladins... With tracking dogs. They let the dogs go, their yelps getting louder as they bolted towards him. Felix sped up, turning to take a less direct route, swerving between the fire-scarred trees and leaping over burnt shrubbery. It was almost like his escape from the cockatrice and his evasion of his first encounter with the ponies. Is there any connection between these events? Felix quickly noted, hearing the barking get quieter as he managed to get partially away from them. They were absolutely lost, judging by how they started letting out frustrated yelps. Felix had won, but only for now. He continued his way through the forest, slowing down to avoid being caught and spending some time to think. How bad is it? Things had started to go terrible when I... left.... Equestria so abruptly. I hope the ponies and the Princesses are alright. I have to find a way back... Somehow. He stared up into the night sky, the normally vibrant palette disturbed by the vast cloud of smoke collecting. Felix glanced over his shoulder. He could see stars to his north, they weren't being blotted out from his view. One star stuck out more than the others. Polaris- the north star. Felix had never been someone who considered religions as manditory, but he needed strength. His physical strength was adequate enough, his childhood was spent hunting and killing mutant creatures on the outskirts of the cities Rememberance and Rebirth. But all the death and betrayal he had encountered in his life had left his spiritual strength scarred beyond belief. He needed a companion, one that wouldn't die. His memories were dark and unforgiving, so it seemed that Religion would have to do. He sent a silent prayer to God and continued his way along to the city. He found himself feeling better as he quietly scuffled his way through the fallen leaves. What will I do when I finally reach the city? There's not much I can do... I'll have to find a way. I can make a difference. Felix thought determinedly. As Felix finally reached the outskirts of the city, he made his way into the nearest ruined building. He had to scuffle from building to building to avoid detection. It worked pretty well for him, as he couldn't be found as long as he stayed to the shadows. Looks like wearing black turned out pretty efficient after all. Felix realized as he stayed an invisible shade of black in shadows as a group of Paladins walked past. Still, it was heartbreaking to Felix. The buildings were all either toppled or collapsed, leaving only the bottom floors still standing, but filled with rubble and dust. As Felix made his way through a destroyed house, he found a Large kitchen knife, seeingly unscratched. It was exactly the same length as the one Chrysalis had given him earlier in his adventure. This can't be coincidence. Felix realized. Sneaking around was also exactly like his first time in Canterlot, and avoiding the guards. But where am I heading anyway? He quickly thought. The sound of a pistol discharging caught his attention. He swiftly made his way out tha back of the house and climbed over the fence. He sneaked to the town square. A quick glance around the corner gave him all the information he needed. The paladins were holding a public execution. The commander of the squad was giving the refugees a speech. Just then one of the men who were being held hostage stood up and made a break for it. A clean shot in his forehead stooped him instantly, his body crumpling to the ground. A stroke of anger shot through Felix. I have to do something... But what? He thought. He noticed a member of the squad was isolated from the rest, standing near where Felix was hiding. He had a sudden idea. He could do something. Felix quietly snuck up behind the soilder, and the Paladin was just a little bit shorter than Felix was. He was maybe two years older, but that didn't matter. Felix quickly wrapped his left arm around the soilder's mouth, pulling him off balance. "gute Nacht." Felix whispered in his ear before stabbing the knife deep into his heart. The soilder stopped thrashing instantly. Felix slowly lowered the soilder's body to the ground and checked his gun. It was the HFR-287 assault rifle. It was more of a submachine gun model, but it was constructed with built-in kinetic shock dampeners, meaning it wouldn't break Felix's arms the instant he shot it. Thanks to the Paladin being about the same size as Felix, the ammo belt and Weapon holster fit perfectly onto his frame, as well as a natural position for the sheathe of the combat knife. He took the one flashbang the soilder had, and he started climbing the destroyed town hall. He made his way to the second floor offices, and he glanced down at the perfect view he had of the entire square. He quickly checked his gun. It had a surpressor and a basic scope. He gripped the flashbang tightly in his hand. Let's just hope they weren't expecting resistance. Felix thought evilly. Another quick glance down assured him he hadn't been seen. He took a deep breath. "Nos vemos." Felix whispered before pulling the pin and tossing the flashbang into the square below. A loud bang and some yelling told him he had hit his mark. He quickly popped into the window, and started shooting down at the soilders below. there were about four in the courtyard below, and he disposed of most of them before lowering himself to reload. He popped up one last time and took down the commander of the group, but not before the commander managed to shoot off a few shots of his own gun, harmlessly impacting the sides of the window frame. Felix had won his first firefight, and he felt proud as hell for doing so. He quickly made his way back down to the hostages. There were about ten men and women, and there was about five children. One of them was Alex, another student from his school, and one was a girl that was about five years old. He quickly made his way around, cutting off the bonds that the Paladins had put on them. Soon enough all of the hostages were free, and they wanted to stick with Felix, which wasn't surprising. Sudden movement made Felix spin around quickly, rifle raised. A patrol of Dragoons had arrived at last. He made his way over to them, rifle lowered. "Thank God you arrived so quickly. I wasn't sure where I'd move all these civilians." Felix quickly told them. A group of teenage Dragoons emerged from behind the ranks. They seemed like the commanders of the squad, and they were wearing night-blue armour, quite unlike the black flak vest Felix was wearing. A boy with a heavy scottish accent turned and quickly told Felix "We'll tak' it frae haur." And he continued to the civilians. A girl rolled her eyes and came over to shake his hand. "Don't mind Neil. He's usually callous, but he's a good kid. My name is Azalea." She told Felix. She had visible muscles, and she looked as if she had gone through many years of training. She winced as she saw his face. "Where'd you get that scar?" She asked quietly. She was kind of shy... Felix sighed. "It's a long story." he told her. "And I doubt you'd believe me if I told you." She shrugged and told him "I guess that'll have to do." She turned her attention to Neil as he approached us. "Let's heed back tae base. They need some shelter." Neil said, signaling to the group of people who were being calmed by the Dragoon soilders. The group made their way to what was left of a church. Felix went into the underground to find a large area and a larger amount of refugees. There was an entire military complex under the church? Felix had always known there was something strange about the way soilders kept showing up during mass. Azalea went with Neil and Felix to a different part of the complex. I guess I've just been immigrated into their group. Felix realized. Azalea took him to a large door with a sign labelled 'Barracks' and pushed it open. "Meet the crew." She told Felix. She made her way around the small squad, he guessed they were calling themselves. "You've already met me and Neil. I'm the commander, and Neil is the scout. Don't get yourself wrong, he's actually very stealthy, not to mention tactical. Over there is Xavier." She said, pointing to a younger boy, maybe thirteen years old. He looked up and Felix noticed he had a module attached to his face, over his left eye. His eye itself seemed to be missing. He shot Felix a scowl and lowered his head back to the machine he was working on. "He's our engineer and our heavy weapons specialist." Azalea told Felix. "Over there, behind those crates, Is Joseph. He's our feild medic and CQC soilder. He's deadly lethal with a shotgun." A gloved hand raised above the crates and it waved. "Welcome to the Cataphracts." Azalea stated, patting Felix on the shoulder. Felix started to make his may over to Xavier, but a quiet squeak came from behind the crates, where Joseph was. He heard Joseph's deep voice. "Stay still, I need to dress your wounds." he stated softly. Felix moved the HFR-287 into the gun holster on his back and made his way behind the boxes. What he saw filled him with both joy and dread. A yellow pony was lying on a surgical table, getting a bandage wrapped around her body. Felix could smell the hydrogen peroxide from where he was standing, and he could notice a few bullet wounds along her front leg and her wing. Felix's heart fell as he realised that the pony was Fluttershy. He quickly made his way over to beside the table. Her eyes were closed tight and he could see tears in her eyes. Joseph shot him a look but didn't try to stop him as Felix gently stroked Fluttershy's mane. She slowly squinted her eyes open, before they flew open in shock. "M-mister Felix?" She quietly asked. Felix smiled gently before whispering in her ear. "Go to sleep, I need you to get better. I'll get you home, don't worry. I'll ask you some questions when you heal, alright Flutters?" She slowly nodded and gently closed her eyes. Joseph had watched the whole thing, having already added the bandages. "Do you know this strange thing?" He asked sofly. Felix could tell he's the strong, silent type. Felix slowly nodded. "Some things happened before I came back to... Rebirth. I was teleported to their world-" He said, signaling to Fluttershy. "-and went on some kinds of adventures. I died in their world, and I reawoke where I was originally here, on Earth. What's the date?" Felix asked, wondering. Joseph frowned. "April 17th" He said at last. Felix's eyes opened in shock. "It was September 23rd when I left." He stated bluntly. Suddenly Xavier came out of nowehere and added in. "Oh, you're that Felix. Some 'Felix Phoenix' went missing in September of last year. Alot of people were closer to you than you realize, you know." Xavier told Felix before hopping back down from the crates and heading back to his machine. Felix sighed. "I didn't know anyone cared for me." He stated flatly. Neil popped around the corner and beckoned to Felix. Felix stood up and made his way over to the soilder. "Ah see yoo've foond uir guest. Let's gie ye yer armoor." He told Felix, before heading to the armory. Felix followed quickly. The new armour fit like a glove. Felix still had all the other tools he got from the soilder, but they were revamped in Dragoon colors. A golden dragon's head was crested over his heart, the Dragoon's emblem. "What's this armour made of?" Felix asked the scotsman enthusiastically. "Diamond platelets an' carbon fibre." Neil replied. The armour was extremely light. Felix got a better rifle, The LRAR-7, which had improved kinetic shock dampeners in it. They're trusting me pretty well for the newbie. Felix realised as Neil handed him the KASR-11 sniper rifle. Felix holstered both of these weapons and made his way across the room to choose a helmet. It fit perfectly. A retiticle appeared whenever Felix pointed his gun, and he had a small bar on the top left of his visor titled 'Shields' as well as a small radar on the upper right. it was Dragoon technology at it's finest. Paladins weren't nearly as advanced as the Dragoons were, but Dragoons were heavily outnumbered, at least twenty to one. Felix made his way back to the barracks, leaving his helmet on a small working area that Azalea had given Felix. Neil was obviously second in command, but Felix knew that the group was somewhat of a democracy, from what Xavier had told him. Xavier wasn't actually that bad, he was just frustraded upon Felix's entry because he was still the youngest in the group. Xavier was also a Pyromaniac. Felix knew that he had probably either burnt or blew up many Paladin bases in his time. Then Felix realised something. The note he had found said 'Be reborn from ashes.' And his last name was Phoenix. Could the note's meaning hold something else entirely in mind? Felix rose from the crate he was sitting on and made his way over to the sleeping quarters of the barracks. He got the bed on the far left, beside the bed where Flutters was now sleeping peacefully, other than a few twitches now and then. As he lay in his bed, not bothering to take off his armour but seeting his firearms down on the shelf to his right, he continued to ponder what lay in store for him the next day. Cruel RejectionWhisked Away: Chapter 3: Cruel Rejection Felix bolted. "Hey!" Twilight yelled after him. She gave chase. It would have been awesome. Felix knew and loved the ponies. But with the main character of the show chasing him wanting to do something he couldn't even begin to imagine, he was less thrilled than he had initally expected. He had to find a way to escape. But that shouldn't have been too hard. It was only one pony. Felix barely had time to register that there was a fence in his way before he jumped it. A fence? The only fence he knew of outside of ponyville was the fence to sweet apple acres. I hope Applejack took the day off! Felix quickly considered as he wasn't sure what the chances of escaping two of his favourite characters was. Felix's day went from bad to worse almost instantly. As he ran down the line of trees, he noticed Applejack and Rainbow dash there. It wasn't that hard to see him. And it must have been an open invitation with Twilight chasing him. He knew for sure that that practically screamed "Adventure!" for Rainbow dash. Everyone gave chase. Felix barely had time to think as the group chased him into the large plantation of apple trees. Felix's twisting and turning between the trees was surely the only thing stopping his from being taken down instantly. His invisible strafing and zigzagging through the field left the girls bewildered. He was positive this was an easy escape. He leaped the fence on the far side of the plantation. He quickly hid behind some rocks lining the shore of a brook cutting its way through the open meadow. Felix noticed Rainbow flying around above the trees, looking disappointed. He knew that if he was spotted now that he wouldn't be able to avoid them. Felix ran to the river. He waded through the shallows before the Multicolored pegasus even knew he was there. Felix continued to sprint into the trees beyond. As he finally settled down to rest, He considered what to do next. I need to talk to the princesses. It's the only way. But how? Felix knew he had only one option. He had to go to Canterlot, the infamous city of unicorns. As Felix stood, he felt the warm spring breeze on his face. He felt that his adventure had truly began.
Forgotten IntentionsThe only thing Felix expected was to be left alone.
"And kill that pesky little cockatrice that tried to kill you, hm?"
ExorcismWhisked away: Chapter 7: Exorcism Felix had no idea where to start.
