"Lunar syndrome: A genetic disease which has shown to only occur in species Equus Maguus. Discovered in the late rule of Princess Platinum, it was so named for the victim's tendencies to howl at the moon. Due to the underdevelopment of blood vessels leading to the horn, clots and blood plasma are more likely to form embolisms, blocking off blood flow and causing necrosis in the horn and other regions of the brain. Symptoms may include short term memory loss during the early onset, long term memory loss, and if left untreated; hallucinations, miscast or warped spells, and death."

After the death of her close friend, Rainbow Dash has trouble sleeping. Since the day of the funeral, she has been plagued by nightmares that find their way into the waking world around her. Armed with questions, she seeks to find the answer to the death of her friend.
