After she got over the panic, she called out, asking if anyone was there. She noticed she was slightly getting hit by water. She could barely see her surrounding as it was near pitch-black, and the only source of light was a slowly dying lamp. And she was still getting hit by water. She attempted to use her magic to light the room, but her magic fizzed out as soon as she tried. There was no way she could teleport out of here. She resorted to using her mouth to pick up the small, oil-lit, lamp. As she observed the walls, she noticed they were made of apparently solid concrete, but with small crystals incrusted in it, presumably blocking her magical powers. She was still getting hit by the water. She realised why there were puddles slowly creating on the ground. She looked up and noticed the grate on the ceiling, with the hundreds, maybe even thousands, drops of water falling from it, very slowly filling the room. He had to save her. She blacked out... Alan was your ordinary 20 year old, he had an alright job, he spent a large amount of time on the internet and occasionally socialised with people. He was pretty well taught on internet ‘Memes’, as they were known as,  and knew slightly of ‘Bronies’, but didn’t watch the My Little Pony show himself, and decided he had better things to do. His friends were the kind of friends you would expect an internet dweller to have, they were also well educated on the art of computing, otherwise known as ‘Nerds’. His main friend was Robert Wallwich, and Alan had known him since Secondary school, and had slowly made friends with him, even past the day when they left school. Robert never really had any friends before, and made friends with Alan when they began talking about the internet and computers. His second friend was named George Carlson.  Alan met George also at secondary school, as he was one of the few friends of Robert. He was also interested in the internet, as the rest of the friends. His third and final friend was John Dow. Alan actually didn’t know about John from school, and met from the internet after finding out that they lived in the same town. I don’t really have to say what he was interested in. It was yet another usual day for Alan, and he was out at the nearby internet cafe with his friends. They were casually chatting about recent things they had done, and the conversation turned to My little pony. “So, have you heard about bronies?” said Alan, motioning to his friends George nodded, and replied with “Yeah, it’s a little weird, isn’t it? I mean, grown men watching a show for kids, a little strange.” Robert also added to the conversation. “I agree with George; I find it slightly strange as well.” “What about you John? You heard about them?” Alan asked, pointing to his friend. John looked slightly uncomfortable at that moment, but kept it quiet enough so his friends didn’t notice. “Y-yeah, I’ve heard of them. I-it is weird isn’t it?” Alan took a sip of his coffee and continued talking. “I mean, I respect it and all, but you probably won’t see me watching it.” Robert nodded towards John, seeing how uncomfortable he was. “What’s wrong John? You alright?” John hastily nodded and quickly explained. “I-I’m just a bit hot right now, it’s hot, isn’t it?” George chuckled and motioned towards the window. “Man, it’s winter out there, how can you be hot?” John looked around quickly, and took a sip of his coffee. “Uh, maybe I’m coming down with a cold...” He checked his watch. “We’ve been here for about 2 hours now; I think I should be getting home.” Robert nodded. “Yeah, me too, see you guys.” Alan and George waved goodbye, and Robert left with the now less uncomfortable John. They also left after and went with a goodbye. It would take Alan about half an hour for him to walk home, so he had some time to think. It was freezing cold out, as it was mid-winter, and was close to snowing. He didn’t really like it like this. “Hmm,” he thought, “Would be nice to be somewhere a little sunnier.” Soon enough, Alan was back at home. Being a nerd did have some benefits. He had done quite a lot of IT work at some companies in the past, and also came from a rather wealthy background, so he had enough money to buy a reasonable house He decided to go straight to his computer and check online for any new YouTube videos. He spent a while browsing around and watching a few videos, and decided to check on Facebook  to see if John was online, as he was little worried about him. Luckily he was there, and they started chatting. Alan: Hey John, you alright now? John: Hi Alan, I’m a little better now. What are you up to? Alan: Nothin much, watched a few videos, not much. John: Ah. John: Well, I think I am gonna go off now, feeling a little ill now. Alan: K, cya bro. Alan looked at the time and decided that he was going to take a slightly early sleep. As he closed his eyes that night, he had no idea what was going to happen the next day. She re-awoke, with more drops of water hitting her body. She was still scared at the realisation of what was happening, and wanted to scream. But that wouldn’t help anything. A tear rolled out of her eye, and blended with the falling water. Her body was slightly soaked now, and she was getting very cold. She never should have gone there without him. She should have listened to him. It was a bad idea to go there in the first place. She missed him. Twilight wished for him.
