Scarlet and the Tiny Changeling

"How is the productivity of the new demons?" A being that had a stick like body one eye and a crown asked.

"It is going well my king. We have created more demons by combining the DNA of two or more demons. The spider-man with the deformed gunner, sniper and bazooka to make the tarantula. The super demon with the suicider. We are also about to combine the DNA of a tiger and a chow-chow." A demon unit said.

"It better be powerful enough to kill the pure army." The demon king said. They watched as the demon production tube was filled with a bright light. Once the light departed, there in the tube was a gray fox. But on a monitor, there was something that shouldn't have been there.

"Is that a heart? A pure heart no less?!" The king grabbed the unite by the neck.

"I'm sorry my master, I had know idea, but it will be exterminated, I guarantee you."

"It better be!" He threw the demon aside. "Attention all demons! There is a defective demon in the chambers that must be killed immediately!" He broadcasted to the entire army in the HQ. The fox knew she was in trouble now, she tried to escape by the door. But when she opened it, there were demon units and a smasher. The smasher swung his chained mace towards the fox, but she jumped over the attack and ran past them. One of the units threw his spear at her only to hit another demon in their one eye.

The king face palmed.

"Why do I depend on these idiots? I could take this fox out in one hit!" The fox was surrounded now. "Yes! Finally, you redeemed yourselves!" But as fast as they pleased their king, he was then again disappointed.

"Who let the suicider out?!"

"It's going to blow!" And blow up it did. Killing all of the demons and sending the fox flying towards the exit. She was hurt, yes, but not to the point to where she couldn't get away. She went out the door and ran.

"... WHY CAN'T YOU IDIOTS COMPLETE A SIMPLE TASK LIKE THIS ONE?!?!"

'Just because of my heart, I have to die.' The fox, who named herself Scarlet, thought to herself. Demons don't get names, since there is so many of them, there is just not a enough names to go through. She felt something special inside her, she just couldn't find it. While she was trying to figure out her special ability, she heard the sounds of hooves. Fearing the worst, she hid in a nearby bush. She thought it was a pure unit riding a war horse. She peeked out of the bush and to her surprise, it was not a pure unit, or a horse. It was something that looked like a horse, but also looked like a bug. It also seemed to have tears in it's eyes.

'Is it...crying?' Scarlet asked herself, for its face was stained with tears. Not only that, but she felt something coming from that creature. A feeling of being abandoned and betrayed. She wanted to help this creature, because it went through what she had to go through.

"Hello?" She called towards the creature, not sure if it can even talk. It jumped and looked around franticly, as if it was scared.

"Wh-who's there?" It asked. Scarlet then revealed herself.

"Just me."

"Who are you?"

"I'm Scarlet. What's your name?"

"Chrysalis, use to be queen of the changelings."

"Use to be?"

"Yes, both because of me not able to feed my people. And because of this curse I have on myself. I'm smaller than what I use to be."

"I'm sorry to hear that. Actually, I had the same problem."

"You did?"

"Yes, I was chased out of my own home because I was born with a pure heart. Nearly killed as well."

"Wow, we aren't so different." Just then they heard the rustling of nearby bushes.

"Oh, no. I think they are still looking for me." With that, she ran back into the bushes with Chrysalis not far behind.

"There is nothing here you idiot!" One voice said.

"I know I heard voices over here." Another said.

"Who are they?" Chrysalis asked.

"The demon army." Scarlet replied. The demons kept searching but soon gave up. Cursing about how they were going to be executed by their king for loosing her.

"I think they are gone." Chrysalis said. "We need to get out of here, it's not safe. Especially after sunset."

"You're right." Scarlet said. "Which way should we go." She asked while getting out of the bush.

"Let's go that way." Chrysalis pointed towards the west."

"Ok, do you want to get on my back?"

"Yes, thank you." Scarlet bent down for Chrysalis to jump on. Once she was on, Scarlet started to walk into the direction that Chrysalis pointed towards.

After walking for awhile, they finally got out of the forest and found a little cottage. Chrysalis had fallen asleep on the way there and Scarlet was not far from passing out as well. At the cottage, she could see a yellow horse, about the same size as her, tending for animals. After it was done, it went back into its house. Scarlet walked to the front of the house and knocked on the door. After a moment the same horse came to the door, when it saw Scarlet, its eyes widened.

"Oh my. I have never seen such a big fox before. What can I help you with?" It asked.

"Me and my friend just need a place to stay." When she said this, the horse's eyes widened even more.

"You-you talk?!"

"Well, yes."

"Oh, well come in. Do you have a name?"

"Scarlet."

"My name is Fluttershy." She said, Scarlet came in, but when Fluttershy saw what was on her back, she instantly froze up.

"Are you ok?"

"There's-there's a changeling in your back!"

"Oh you mean Chrysalis? Yeah, she was the friend I was talking about." Upon hearing her name, Chrysalis awoke. When she opened her eyes, they came into contact with Fluttershy's sight.

Beyond the everfree forest, there was the ruins of what use to be a castle. There were many dead beings that had resemblance to the demon army, but instead of being gray in color or having one eye. They had two eyes and they were white in color, except their stick like body, which was black like the demon army. They were known as the pure army, they have defeated the demons two times now. The first time was when they threw off a pure unit into the ocean. He came back with many guns. The second one was when after their first defeat. They were banished from the land by the king, but they soon came back when they had new found powers. But it proved to be worthless when they were defeated again by the pure army.

They had finally lost now, to an army that was not the demons. An army that was made out of bones, but all hope was not lost. There was one pure unit that was not killed in the assault, his name, was Purity.
