Peanut Butter
Peanut Butter
Load Full StoryApplejack decided that she REALLY hated peanut butter. Ok..well...that might be going a bit too far. She just really disliked this confounded stuff. All innocent and appetizing looking. Ya’ll get so distracted that when push comes to shove, BAM! It’s all over. It had lured you in like a bee to a flower, then roped ya up good and tight, and all you know is that you’re trapped and looked like a top o’ the line idiot. Dangling all around, struggling to get free and get back some dignity.
Applejack didn’t appreciate that kind of thing, when it came to the treats she consumed.
Now a good snack is composed of several key ingredients. Something tasty, something easy, and a little dash of something of mutual love shared between the creator and the created, or more often, the eater and the eaten. This delicate balance could not be disrupted! If it was, then...well..THIS HAPPENED!
It had all been so simple. So easy, so much fun. So...so..un-trap-like! A nice get together with the girls by the lake, well keeping an eye on the Cutie Mark Crusaders, who at the time, were trying to get some water skiing cutie marks. (The attempt had been, predictably, futile. But they’d learn, ‘side’s a little fun never hurt nopony.) Pinkie Pie had brought the snacks. Among them, were the little devils. So warm and soft, not to mention more tempting than a warm slice’a apple pie with a scoop of maple-nut ice cream, or a class of cold cider after a long day’s work.
Applejack would never make the mistake of eating a peanut-butter smothered chocolate cookie ever again. The gosh darn stuff just would not come off the roof of her mouth! No matter how hard she tried!
….....
The others had yet to stop their laughter and poorly hidden giggles, as they watched Applejack’s vain attempts at clearing the stuff away. On the bright-side, it WAS rather delicious....Of course that DIDN'T mean she liked it...for the most part.
