"AAAHHH!!!!" Applebloom screamed.She screamed for a while. Applebloom looked around to see where she was.Her bedroom."Whew....it was just a dream..." "APPLEBLOOM!"Applebloom looked up to see her big sister Applejack at the foot of her door. "Applebloom,are you ok? 'Ah heard screaming coming from you room." "Oh it was nothin' Sis. Just a one of those nightymares." "Ok.I was just concerned." "Don't worry 'bout me sis! I'm ok!" "Well shucks!Goodnight Applebloom!" "Night!" Applejack closed Applebloom's door and went back to her room.That filly has been more nervous than a long tailed cat in a room full of rocking chairs, Applejack thought. "What was wrong with 'Bloom AJ?" Asked her brother Big Macintosh,Big Mac for short. "Hm?Oh yeah Big Mac. Applebloom just had another one of them nightmares again.I'm getting worried." Big Mac put his hoof on her shoulder. "Don't worry 'bout it too much sis.It'll be alright." "Yeah,you're right.Well we should be getting some shut eye." "Eeyup." And with that the two sibilings parted to their sleeping quarters.
The next day.
"Hey girls!" Exclaimed Applebloom as she walked into the Cutie mark crusaders clubhouse. An tangerine pegasus with magenta hair perked up."Huh?Oh hey Applebloom!Hey look Sweetiebelle Applebloom is here!" A white unicorn with purple and pink hair turned around and stopped from what she was doing. "Hm?Oh hey 'Bloom." "So girls!Are you ready to try and earn our cutie mark?" "YOU BET YA!" Scootaloo and sweetiebelle exclaimed together."Alright!!! So what should we do?" "Hm..."Scootaloo started to ponder at the possibilities.Sweetiebelle was the first to give suggestions."I know!!!How about the Cutie mark conspiracy hunters!?!?"Scootaloo perked up."That's a great idea!!!But what about.....Cutie mark conspiracy FINDERS?" "Uh...ah don't see a difference." Replied Applebloom. "I said FINDERS.Not HUNTERS." "Whatever.Let's do it!!!"
Later that night.
Applebloom,Scootaloo,and sweetiebelle were all walking together at night in the Evertree forest.Scootaloo and Sweetiebelle seemed to be having a good time,but all this just brought back nightmares to Applebloom.They had been walking in silence for a while until Scootaloo broke the quiet tension."Hey Sweetiebelle isn't this neat?" "Hm?Oh yeah! It's cool to have the possibility of getting our cutie marks from being ghost hunters!"Scootaloo laughed."Yeah I know!What do you think Applebloom-" Scootaloo looked at her direction."Applebloom?Are you ok?" Applebloom stopped dead in her tracks.All of a sudden tears started to come into her eyes as she started to shake violently. "Applebloom" Scootaloo and Sweetiebelle said simultaneously as they both ran up to her."Applebloom!Are you ok?What's wrong?"Asked Sweetiebelle. At first Applebloom didn't say anything.But after what seemed like hours,she finally got the courage to speak."A-Ah don't wan-n-na go back the-ere!" Scootaloo perked up."Go where?" "It's t-to horrible to e-even s-s-speak about it..." Sweetiebelle went to Applebloom's side."It's ok! Don't cry."She said as she wiped off a tear from Applebloom's face."We can just go back if you wanna.Right Scootaloo. Scootaloo looked at Sweetiebelle."Right! I didn't wanna be a ghost hunter anyways!" But Applebloom shook her head."N-no...'Ah have to face my fears.Plus I don't wanna risk the chance of a cutie mark!" "But Applebloom..." "No Sweetiebelle! 'Ah am not going home without a cutie mark!" Scootaloo lowered her head. "Are you sure about the that 'Bloom?" Applebloom shook her head. " 'Ah am one hundered percent sure!" "Well....ok....let's get going." And the trio went on even deeper into the forest, all but Applebloom knowing the dangers they were about to face.
"It's really dark here." Said a very paranoid Sweetiebelle."Y-yeah.And I feel like we're being watched."Scootaloo replied.Applebloom looked down as she walked.'Ah shoulda told them.But....they won't believe me. Aaappleblooom....Applebloom whipped her head around."Hm?Hey,did you guys hear that?" Asked a paranoid Applebloom. Scotaloo and Sweetiebelle looked at Applebloom."Hm?Uh...no." "Oh.It must have been 'mah imagination." And with that they continued walking.Dooon't beeee a fooool Aaaaapplebloooom...."Ok girls 'ah know 'ah heard something!" "I don't hear anything."Said Scootaloo. "Yeah Applebloom.We haven't heard anything strange."Replied Sweetiebelle."Hmm ok."
"APPLEBLOOM!" Applebloom jerked up "OK I KNOW I HEARD SOMETHING!" And before anypony could say anything,Applebloom was off.'Ah know I heard something! But what? Applebloom started to run for life,not bothering to lthink about her two confused friends that she left behind."I haven't seen you in a while Aaaplebloom..." Applebloom started to get irritated. At the top of her lungs.she screamed: "WHO ARE YOU!??" "Oh Applebloom," Applebloom tripped and fell on her flank at the voice.It sounded familiar. When she got up,she saw a pony figure starting to form. "After all, I thought we were close,friend." Finally Applebloom was able to see the pony only to have her vision blurried by her tears. "R-ruby?" The ghost pony smiled. "Yes Applebloom,it is me." Applebloom gave her a wet hug (Don't ask me how this is possible)at the sound of her name. Ruby smiled."It's so nice to see you after so long,friend.

The reason why Ruby knows Applebloom's name is because she overheard Twilight mentioning Applebloom's name when Twilight found her at the end of the story.
