Flare And Frost

                 My town breathed intimacy, alcohol, and drugs. I wasn't like that well except the drinking part. So I left to find a place i can truly call "home"

Chapter One: Not Looking Back

I woke up my head was pounding I noticed a half drunken shot i drank the rest then I blacked out.

"Hey Flare Hey, You awake?"

The familiar voice woke me up everything was blurry but i could make out where i was it was Frank's Bar. Frank was my best friend a light brown pony with black hair he was a good colt better than all the colts in the city.

"It happened again"

"Sorry Frank i didn't mean to sleep here again"

"It's alright You are my favorite Customer after all But......."

"Hmm? what is it"

"You Don't usually drink like this is everything OK?"

"Well....Im Leaving"

"Leaving! but why?"

"Im leaving the city to find somewhere i can start fresh, somewhere that's not like this dump of a city"

"will I ever see you again?"

I was Hesitant to answer but he got the picture His concerned face turned to sadness so i tried to change the subject...

"hey can you pass me the Bag I told you to hold for me?"

"oh yeah"

He went behind the counter and picked up a White bag with a symbol of fire imprinted on it he handed it to me and said.....

"what it is anyway?"

"It's my Supplies"

I opened the bag and showed him the contents: Some Food, all the bits that i owned and a spell book and some medical supplies

"Looks Like your all set.....When are you leaving"

"Right now Last night I drank like there was no tomorrow because i was leaving the city"

"Oh.....Well have these, this should help with the hangover"

He slip the medicine into the bag looking like he was about to cry so i tried to cheer him up...

"Hey one last shot like old times"

"Yeah Sure"

We went over to the counter and he readied two shots we drank them slowly knowing that this was the last time we were going to see each other He walked with me to the edge of the city we haven't said a word then the silence was broken when he said...

"well I guess this is Goodbye"

After Saying that I hugged him and he hugged back we never did like showing our emotions but this was different this was the end of our friendship I felt like i was going to cry but I held it in

"Bye"

We traded of Glances as i walked slowly up the Road until he was out of site and until i was out of site as well

"I never Did get to tell you how i feel...."

I Arrived at The Ice Caverns by the time i got there My Hangover was gone  Frank's medicine actually worked. The snow felt cold under my hooves I could barley see the sun anymore. The Ice Caverns  was home to Ice Dragons  but the route to get to the main Roads avoided the caverns .  As I started off into the Trail It got colder and colder with each step That I took. I have to be on my toes, Ice dragons are very territorial.

"HELP!!!"

My eyes widened my body went stiff as a small blue creature went behind me panting heavily

'Its coming Its coming!!"

"whats com-"

Suddenly i was thrown to the floor the ice pierced my side i groaned in pain trying to see what was the cause of my fall. I froze, a armored ice bear was standing right next to me growling in anger. Armored Ice bears feeds on small animals even Ponies and some times they even feed on baby ice dragons. It roared in my face , ready to attack!!!

"Shining light! Lend me your aid: Flare!"

I shot up a ball of fire glowing immensely and I manged to scare of the Ice bear, frighted by it's only weakness: fire

I got up from the floor , slipping  as i held my right side trying to suppress the pain.

"Hey you Alright Kid?"

"Y-yes Thank You"

She was a Baby ice dragon judging by the wounds she had shes been through a lot....

"I-im Frost"

"Im Flare...So Kid wheres your parents?"

She frowned when i asked the Question and answered with in a sluggish but clear way

"They died in a fire...I was left all alone in the village. The Neighbors where kinda enough to let me stay with them"

I gripped my wound even harder, so hard that i even started to bleed

"Losing your parents.....thats rough"

I didn't know what to say knowing that her parents died and she lives a life of sadness its horrible but she continued....

"I've always wanted to leave this place..."

I looked at her in shock

"I wanted to do what my parents couldn't "

" And what would that be?"

" To find Happiness in this world , a place wheres its safe , a place where i can have ......."

She stopped and stared off into the distance , having a daydream of how that life would be so i ask her

" Im looking for the same thing im actually heading over there now  would you like to come with me?"

She stared at me with amazement like she was waiting for the is moment her whole life but ,she was  hesitant to answer i would be too being asked by a complete stranger to go on a adventure with them to who knows where but she did answer...

"Y-yes!"

"You know it's gonna be a long way from home are you sure you want to come"

"I -I Have no Home.....MY home is out there somewhere  and im gonna find it....!"

I was surprised with her answer and a little bit sad but i brushed it off knowing that she was with me she could have a friend on this journey and so could I...

"Heh...Come on let me treat your wounds"

"Thank you"

We walked towards the clearing, there she sat on a rock wile i pulled out some bandages from my bag, I didn't know any healing spells so i brought some medical supplies instead, I helped her rap the bandage around her arm she had a pretty nasty cut on her side too so I raped some bandage there too then we were all done....

"What about you Flare, What about that cut on your side?"

" I'll be Fine its not that bad"

I made the decision to conserve the medical items if somebody needed it , it should be used on Frost not me.....
