From the depth's: Spike's nightmare.

One day in Ponyville, Spike and Twilight were finishing a long day's work when Twilight said to Spike, “You did a great job today Spike, you always make me so proud.” Spike blushed and smiled then said, “Well I try to do my best I love it here Twilight, I hope we live here forever.” Twilight smiled and patted his head then said. “We better head to bed, it’s getting late and we have a long day tomorrow. Sweet dreams Spike.” Spike yawned and got into bed then said, “Night ,Twilight, I hope tomorrow is even better.”  He closed his eyes and drifted off to sleep. He began to dream about him and Rarity having a picnic. Rarity said to Spike, “This is such a wonderful picnic, and this diamond is so wonderful there isn’t a place in Equestria I rather be right now.” Spike blushed and stared into her eyes then took in a deep breath, and then said. “ Rarity, there something I been wanting to say to you, for a long time  Rarity I lo-.” Before he could finish his sentence, the ground started to shake violently and Rarity started to get scared. “Spike?! What’s going on, AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!” She screamed as the ground opened beneath her and  the sky turned blood red, Spike  screamed “NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!” Jumping in after her only to be stop by a strange shadow, it begin to laugh at him. His voice was distorted and his eyes blood red but he looked human, Spike wondered who this monster was and the shadow then said to him. “Trying to be the hero Spike, how predictable, in a world filled with such love and kindness, I wonder have you ever thought if something truly evil came into your world and turned it into a nightmare.” Spike yelled back at him. “Me and my friend’s have faced evil before, and we have beat them, and we will do the same with you!” The shadow only laughed harder. “You defeat me?! Hahahahahaha, why the very notion is obscured! See the difference between me and those other fools is that they never had the guts to kill you , but I do. Farewell Spike, its been fun. Sweet dreams!” He then striked Spike’s heart with a bolt of lightning from his hand. Spike fell to the ground and he finally wakes up screaming, Twilight wakes up and rushes over to him. Worried and wrapping her hooves around him, she asked him. “Spike, are you okay? You had me so scared, that must have been one crazy nightmare.” Spike looked at her and held her. Crying a little, he began to tell her what happened. Twilight kissed his head and said. “Don’t worry Spike, it was just a bad dream. Why don’t you sleep with me tonight and keep all the monsters away.” Spike was reassured that it was okay.and agreed to bunk with her for the night. He felt safe in her hooves and sweet dreams. The next day, Spike went out to enjoy some time with Rarity while Twilight stayed at the library to try and make sence of his dream, she was worried that all of Equestria could truly be in for some dark times, was this shadow real, was there a being so evil, she wasn’t sure, but she was determined to make sure that her and her friends would be safe. “Ahhhhh Twilight, so many questions and so little time, hahahahaha AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!”
