The true nature of a sister
Sweetie Belle was sitting at the dinner table eating a PB&J sandwich, she had just gotten out of school for Hearth's Warming break, which was a three week long break, so she had all the time in the world to spend with her sister, Rarity. But she was still feeling down about her parents' death. When that came back to her, she put her half-eaten sandwich on her plate, put her face down on the table, and started crying. She'd never had such a long distraught attitude like this before.
In the meantime, Rarity had just entered the Boutique, stomping snow off her hooves. As she was just about to unpack a bag of sewing yarn for her next project, she heard crying coming from the kitchen, and knew who it was, she trotted her way into the kitchen and sat down next to Sweetie Belle.
"Sweetie Belle, what's wrong darling?" Rarity asked
"I still miss mommy and daddy!" Sweetie Belle sobbed
This caused Rarity to explode since they had already been through this the 15th time. Rarity finally snapped at her.
"SWEETIE BELLE, I DON'T WANT TO HEAR ANYMORE ABOUT MOM AND DAD, NOW GO TO YOUR ROOM AND DON'T COME OUT UNTIL I SAY SO!!!!!!!!"
"But Rarity I....."
"NOW I SAID!!!!!!!!! GO!!!!!!!!" Rarity said, popping Sweetie Belle on her butt, Sweetie Belle bawled at Rarity and took off to her room.
"Sweetie Belle wait I didn't mean....."
Rarity then sat down on her table and pouted.

Meanwhile, on the outskirts of Ponyville, at Sweet Apple Acres, Applejack and Applebloom were playing a game they call "Catch the Stem" where they had to catch an apple with ther mouths by the stem, and if you let one apple fall out of your mouth it was game over. Anyway, Applejack and Applebloom had thrown the last apple together, it had fallen out of Applebloom's mouth. It was 7 points for Applejack 0 for Applebloom, Applebloom then pouted.
"Applejack is the winner!" Applejack said, cheering. She then saw her little sister with a defeated look.
"Applebloom what's wrong?" Applejack said, trotting towards her.
"Applejack, you always win!" Applebloom sobbed
Applejack sat cross legged, picked up Applebloom and held her in her arms.
"I'm sorry sugarcube, it's just that, you're still a beginner with this stuff, it's gonna be a while before you can beat me, besides ya'll know that ol' sayin' 'practice makes perfect.'"
The two sisters then hugged. Applejack saw that it was getting late, and that it was Applebloom's bedtime
"Now go on inside, and take your bath and brush your teeth, it's almost bedtime" Applejack said, Applebloom then trotted inside the house.
In the meantime, Rarity had just walked over to Sweet Apple Acres to talk with Applejack for some sisterly advice. She approached AJ's house normally
"Applejack, can I talk with you for a while?" Rarity asked
"Of course Rarity, come on in. I'll make some cider for us." Applejack said kindly, she then let Rarity inside. Applejack had filled two mugs with Apple Cider, and she sat down on the couch with Rarity.
Rarity sighed "Applejack, I sorta yelled at Sweetie Belle and then slapped her."
Applejack gave a shocking gasp
"Why did ya' do that, Rarity?!"
"Well it's been almost a month since my parents died, and she's been down about it ever since, I even made her a PB&J sandwich and gave her some alone time to calm down, and still she sobs about it, I've just...I've had enough of it, how am I ever going to convince her that they're not alive anymore and that she's still got me?" Rarity said, sighing again, then covering her face with her hooves. Applejack wrapped her hoof on Rarity
"Now sugarcube, death is a very big calamity for people, Applebloom went through the exact same depression went mah' Ma' and Pa' died, I had to keep her home from school for over a week, because of the depression mah' family went through. But ya' didn't have to be harsh on her, Rar' I think the best think for you is just to hug her and kiss her until she gets use to you."
In the meantime Applebloom ran down the stairs with her bow in her hoof.
"Applebloom, what are you doing?" Applejack asked cocking an eyebrow
"Ah' wanted to say hi to Rarity."
"Sweetheart your sister and I are having a very private conversation."
"But Rarity Ah...." Applejack then walked up towards Applebloom
"Applebloom ah' told you four minutes ago, to go take your bath, and brush your teeth, now do I have to get Mr. Whip?"
Applebloom gulped "No."
"Well let's start moving that direction." But just before she was about to trot back upstairs "And I don't want to see any lanterns on tonight, I want you in bed. Big Macintosh will be in there to tuck you in."
"Yes AJ." Applebloom trotted back upstairs.
"Sorry Rarity. Anyway ah' think a little love on Sweetie Belle may be the answer." Applejack said
"All right, thank for the cider, AJ."
"No prob' sugarcube."
Applejack and Rarity nuzzeled each other and said good night.

Later that evening, Rarity was back at her Boutique putting on her red floral robe that she wore in "Read it and Weep" and getting ready for bed, as she was trotting down the hallway, she heard Sweetie Belle in her room, talking to a picture of their parents and them together in Manehatten. She cracked the door open to hear what she was saying. Rarity then opened her door.
"Sweetie Belle, meet me in my bedroom, I want to talk with you."
Sweetie Belle was still in tears, but she followed her sister to her room. She lied down on her sisters bed, Rarity then hopped on and held Sweetie Belle in her arms.
"Darling, I'm sorry for what I did to you today, I still miss them too, but your just gonna have to face the fact that this is where you live now, this is your home. You live with me now, but we can still do the things we did with them."
Sweetie Belle plopped her face on Rarity's chest, and cried
"I miss them Rairty, I miss them so much!" Sweetie Belle sobbed
"Shhhh, Shhhh It's okay darling, it's okay I'm here." Rarity said, petting her little sister pink and purple mane.
Sweetie Belle then calmed down. Still sniffling, but her tears were starting to dry up "So Rarity, do you really think we can still do stuff together?"
"Of course, dear."
Sweeite Belle started to get playful "Does that mean I get to play hide and seek?" She asked hiding under the covers and deliberately showing her back hooves to her older sister.
Rarity saw her back hooves, and smiled, she then turned to her writing table and levitated a quill feather and had it aimed at her hoof.
"Maybe it does, if you laugh about it." Rarity said cocking an eyebrow. She then started stroking the feather on her little sister's hoofs. Sweetie Belle then started giggling.
"RAHAHAHRIITYY STAHAHAHAHAPP TICKLING MEHEHEHEHEHEHE!!!!!!!!!!"
"Tickle, tickle, tickle, Sweetie Belle." Rarity said continuing to tickle her little sister. Finally she stopped tickling her, and when she did, Sweetie Belle came out of the covers, jumped into Rarity's arms, and clinged to her in love.
"I love you Rarity." Sweetie Belle said, affectionately, Rarity folded her ears in love, and hugged her little sister closer towards her.
"I love you too, darling." Rarity said "You can sleep with me tonight."
Rarity undid the bed, she then walked to her bookshelf and read a bedtime story to Sweetie Belle. Who was in the bed first
"The End" Rarity said. "Good night darling" Rarity said, she kissed Sweetie Belle good night, blew out the candle, and fell alseep. Sweetie Belle got cold so she snuggled up closer and closer towards her sister, until she was finally warm. When she finally fell asleep Rarity looked down at her, and smiled. She then gave her another strong, yet gentle kiss on her mane.
"How did I ever get to be a good big sister?" She thought.
