Life of Jinx

***Authors notes: Ok this is my first story ever and not even close to anything I am used to so this will just be a quick one I will keep writing it if you like it just let me know and play nice thanks!***

It was a day like any other in Ponyville. Apple Jack and Big Macintosh where bringing in some of the apple harvest to sell in the market. Rarity was putting the final touches on a dress for a wedding tomorrow, busy as ever, when suddenly a young colt came into town. He was about the same size as Big Mac with his dark brown mane and tan fur. Other than his size, he never really stood out from the others even though he was from out of town.

He headed through town and headed into a salon shop that was run by none other than former Queen Chrysalis. After her failed attempt to take over Equestria, the Queen and her hive had a falling out, and she was banished from the hive by the high council. Things where looking bad for the queen until she ran into the Main 6 and Princess Celestia. Long story short, the bad blood was settled, and she was now running a salon that was doing surprisingly well in the small town.

Jinx walked into the shop. He was greeted by Chrysalis, who noticed his broad shoulders under his long shaggy mane. Jinx looked at Chrysalis and asked if she had time to give him a haircut. She did not have any other customers coming in today, even though she was tired from the ponies that came in to get there hair done before the big day. She decided one more couldn't hurt and had him come to the stool.

She was getting her tools ready and was starting small talk with the lonely colt--nothing special-- until she noticed that he seemed a little tense in the shoulders. She decided to let him know that she offered a massage services as well. He was hesitant at first because of his usual luck with… well, everything.

Ever since Jinx was little, it seemed that Jinx could not catch a break with his luck. Even though he was a Pegasus, it seemed he always had a magical ability to screw things up. Every time it got to that point, he left home to get on the road, doing odd jobs to get by. But he never found a real place to settle down, mainly because ponies would start to figure out his luck with things, and he would get tired and move on to another town. Now, he found himself here in Ponyville looking for work, but he decided he had nothing to lose.

So, they went upstairs to get ready for Chrysalis, who was cleaning downstairs and closing up the shop. Soon, she was heading up to join Jinx, who had just finished getting ready and was relaxing in the darkened room, lit only by a couple candles. Even though it was set upstairs, the room was surprisingly cool and relaxing. Chrysalis entered the room with a hungry look on her face, though Jinx did not notice since he was laying down, so relaxed he was close to falling asleep.

Chrysalis was slowly making her way to Jinx. She began to work right away on the most troubled area: his shoulders. Suddenly, she had a shocked look on her face. The reason she had been doing so well was not as much her beautician skills, but instead her legendary skills at massage. Being a changeling, she could sense energy flowing through the body called chakra. It also was what Unicorns used to perform their magic. It gave earth ponies their strength. But what surprised Chrysalis was that she realized Jinx had way too much chakra. In fact, it was to the point that it was hurting him.

She quickly started working on him, trying to sort through the mess of what was going on in his body. Luckily, chakra was basically the same as love, which is what she has been using to keep her going. Sure, she felt a bit bad, not being honest in telling her clients what she had been doing, but in exchange, taking what she needed to survive would actually help them to relax and regenerate their bodies so they would be better than ever.

Chrysalis soon realized that this was not anywhere close to an hour job, or even a week if she had anything to say about it. As she was thinking to herself she did not realize that she was getting a little rough with Jinx, who, oddly enough, was not complaining about the new pace chrysalis was taking on him.

Suddenly, Chrysalis realized how late it had gotten, and asked if he could come back tomorrow afternoon for some more help. He decided to head back and get ready for his first day working at the apple orchard outside of town.
