The day started like any other day for Fluttershy, she would feed her animal friends, and then visit each of her friends then at the end of the day come back and feed her animal friends.
Except today, there was a terrible storm keeping all the ponies inside.
Luckily Fluttershy fed all her animal friends but now there was nothing for her to do except wait.
So she stared out the window she could see a figure sitting in the distance she could make that it was a pony.
"Oh my, who is that out there, they could sick get in weather like this." Fluttershy said aloud.
She ran out the door to meet this pony, to get them inside.
"Hello, Hello" Fluttershy called the pony turned its head; the pony had been, wearing a hat.
"What do you want?" The pony said as Fluttershy got closer.
"What are you doing out here in the rain?" Fluttershy asked.
"I’ve got nowhere else to go" The pony answered, the pony was using a cape to try to keep herself warm. Fluttershy couldn't imagine what this pony has been through, it must have been tragic.
"Well get up you’re going to come with me" Fluttershy ordered.
"Why?" The pony asked surprised by this act of kindness.
"Because nopony deserves to be left in the rain."
Fluttershy said.
The pony stood up and nodded and followed Fluttershy back to her cottage.
When they arrived this is when Fluttershy realize who she had found.
The hat, the coat and more importantly her voice,
It was Trixie.
"Trixie?" Fluttershy asked tilting her head a bit.
"So you have heard of Trixie." Trixie said, "Well it's good to see my reputation still is good in some places in Equestria."
"I remember you came to Ponyville a while back to show us your magic." Fluttershy.
"Ponyville, so I actually did make it back." Trixie muttered to herself.
The two Ponies entered the cottage.
"Well, um… are you hungry? I could make you something to eat if you want." Fluttershy said.
Trixie's stomach growled at the mention of food,
"Yes, that would be fantastic." Trixie said.
“Please, have a seat and I’ll take your hat and cape. They are soaked I’ll dry them off for you.” Fluttershy said.
“Thank you.” Trixie replied.
Fluttershy gathered Trixie’s hat and cape then placed them in a basket.
She then moved to start Trixie’s food, “something to warm us up” she Thought.
So soup was what she would make.
As Fluttershy was preparing food for her and Trixie, Trixie was going through her pack looking for something.
Trixie did manage to find whatever she was looking for she gave a quick "Aha!" When she found it, Fluttershy who heard the commotion wanted to see what Trixie did so she tried to catch a peek at what it was, Trixie was reading a scroll.
Fluttershy finished the meal she prepared for her and Trixie she filled two bowls of soup placed them on a table and went to go get her.
Trixie was practicing some of her magic she was practicing it on a ball changing it into many things.
"Wow, that is really cool" said Fluttershy who had stopped just to watch Trixie.
"Thank you, I have been practicing since I was, last here" Trixie replied.
"But magic is easy for a unicorn, but what I need is an assistant." Trixie said.
"You'll find an assistant someday, but right now your food is done." Said Fluttershy.
Trixie followed Fluttershy and they both sat down to eat.
They sat for a while neither one of them talking.
Trixie broke the silence "Thank you" she whispered.
"You’re welcome" Fluttershy said.
After the meal, Fluttershy began to wash the bowls.
"I'll have to repay you sometime." Trixie said.
"You don't have to do that." Fluttershy replied.
"Nonsense, it's what I want to do. It's time I showed some kindness" Trixie said.
Walking out of the room Trixie Quickly added, "Tomorrow though."
Fluttershy showed Trixie where she would sleep tonight, Fluttershy insisted that Trixie take her bed.
Trixie accepted the offer after Fluttershy said it was alright twenty times, Fluttershy slept on the couch that night but she didn't mind it.
When Fluttershy woke up she quickly got to her normal chores with the added chore of drying Trixie’s Hat and Cape. After Fluttershy was done feeding the outside animals and placing the hat and cape to dry, Fluttershy found a note from Trixie right on her Table when she went to make breakfast for her and Trixie.
Fluttershy read the note
"Fluttershy
Trixie will be back with your payment for last night. Trixie has gone out to pick up some needed things, be back soon."
Fluttershy read the note and thought “she must be feeling better she was writing in third person”
So Fluttershy had made food for just her, a quick dandelion sandwich.
Fluttershy still had to feed the animals inside her cottage so she ate quickly.
Angel Bunny who had been waiting as patiently as he could, could not stand it much longer.
So after Fluttershy finished her snack Angel Bunny threw a carrot hitting Fluttershy in the forehead causing her to fall over.
The carrot didn’t hurt her bad but after the Carrot hit her she was attacked by a painful headache. Fluttershy tried to stand up but when she tried to move the pain came back.
So Fluttershy just laid waiting for Trixie to return or anypony for that matter, but now the headache came back worse than before, it felt as if her brain was on fire.
Now she was squirming causing more pain, then there was a knock at the door.
Fluttershy needed help but couldn't move so she screamed again.
Then she heard the door being kicked open then running into her room it was Applejack.
"Fluttershy, what’s wrong!" Applejack yelled entering the room
"Applejack it hurts, everything hurts!" Fluttershy screamed, her headache, getting worse.
Applejack had no idea what to do, her friend was shaking violently, screaming and she was crying Applejack had to get help quickly.
"Fluttershy I’ll, go get help." Applejack turned to leave to get help but Fluttershy screamed something that made it even harder for her to leave Fluttershy.
"Don't leave me Applejack, Please!"
"Fluttershy I need to get help for ya" Applejack tried to reason with her.
"Applejack no please!" Fluttershy further screamed.
"I gotta, now I’ll be right back now you hear." Applejack said as she ran for help.
"No Applejack please no!" Fluttershy screamed but Applejack was already gone.
This time the pain increased in one spot, her forehead. The pain increased and increased, until
Blood streamed down from her forehead, Fluttershy tried to scream again but, she couldn't keep her eyes open, the pain was too much for her she passed out.
After Hours, Fluttershy opened her eyes this time no pain, she also noticed she was back in her bed.
She was relieved that the pain was gone.
She sat up and looked outside her window almost night, what happened to Applejack, she said she would get help, did she get help?
Trixie walked in the room with a worried look, a gasp escaping her lips when she saw Fluttershy.
"Fluttershy it worked, it worked!" Trixie now shouting with joy.
"What worked?" Fluttershy questioned.
Trixie held up a mirror to show her.
Now it was Fluttershy's turn to gasp, on her forehead sat a horn.
"What happened to me?" Fluttershy asked checking to see if she had her wings still, she did.
"I, Trixie transformed you." Trixie answered proudly.
"But why?" Fluttershy asked.
"To repay you of course." Trixie said calmly. “And I wasn’t going test a dangerous spell on myself” she thought.
"Now let’s get you out of bed" Trixie said nudging Fluttershy off the bed.
Fluttershy hopped off her bed.
"Now let’s get you cleaned up a bit" Trixie said gesturing to the blood covering Fluttershy's new found horn on her forehead.
"Yes please" Fluttershy said walking to the bathroom.
Fluttershy had started taking shower Trixie could hear the water.
After about 20 minutes Fluttershy rejoined Trixie.
"Now onto further business." Trixie said.
"Like what?" Asked Fluttershy.
"We need to find out if your horn is real and can you use magic.” Trixie answered.
"How?" Fluttershy further asked.
"Well let’s try the most basic magic, now let’s see." Trixie started digging through her stuff and pulled out that ball.
"I want you to concentrate on the ball, focus on the ball floating."
After a couple seconds an aura of blue surrounded the ball then it faded.
Fluttershy who looked exhausted after trying this.
"Your magic works, but you’re just starting off in magic so you'll need a teacher and who better than I, Trixie the Great and Powerful." Trixie stated.
"Well I don't know I could get Twilight’s help" Fluttershy mentioning Twilight made Trixie scowl.
"And you have to travel out to look for your assistant and to perform shows remember."
"Well you could come with me and I can teach magic and you could be my assistant” Trixie suggested.
"I just can’t leave I have to take care of my Animal and my friends will miss me.” Fluttershy said.
Trixie Thought about this before saying "Fluttershy you have been taking care of the animals around here for a very long time, now think about the animals all over Equestria that could need your help."
"And also we can always comeback at any time." Trixie added.
"Well, I don’t know."
Fluttershy started to list another reason why she couldn’t come but then she asked about Applejack instead
"What happened to Applejack?"
"I don't know who this Applejack is but there was the orange pony who I bested with my magic, What about her?" Trixie asked.
"Well earlier today before this," she gestured to her horn "I was in pain and Applejack heard me screaming and said she would get help but she didn't come back." Fluttershy said.
"Maybe she lied" Trixie suggested.
"Applejack wouldn't lie." Fluttershy replied.
"Why not?" Trixie questioned.
"Because she is the element of honesty." Fluttershy explained.
"And you’re the element of kindness, but are you always kind?" Trixie said
Fluttershy thought about this for moment and no she wasn't always kind, like when she took assertive training or at the gala and she kicked Rainbow Dash in the stomach once but the time with Discord didn't count.
"Not really." Fluttershy said
“So that means Applejack can lie, and maybe she did.” Trixie said
“She couldn’t have lied” Fluttershy said.
“Back to our previous matter at hoof. Will you come with me Fluttershy? I can help you with your magic, and you can help me.” Trixie said.
“Oh okay I’ll come with you Trixie. But when I want to come back will you bring me back to Ponyville?” Fluttershy asked.
“Of course, when we have time.” Trixie said.
“But I’ll have to tell my friends first or leave a note or something, I don’t even know what to say or write.” Fluttershy said.
“Then allow me to write a note for you” Trixie suggested.
“Well alright,” Fluttershy said
“Then wait for me outside I shall write the note and then we can depart.” Trixie said.
Trixie located something to write on and to write with and then wrote the note.
“Let us leave; we have a long walk ahead of us.” Trixie said walking outside.
“Where are we going?” Asked Fluttershy said.
“Well I say we go to Strutford first, I haven’t been there in some time. And there is a matter of getting my cart back.” Trixie said leading the way with Fluttershy following.
“Oh, this going to be so much fun I have an apprentice, and an assistant.” Trixie said.
(In the Everfree forest somewhere)
Applejack finally woke up.
“What happened to me” Applejack said getting up rubbing the back of her head.
She then noticed where she was.
“How did I get in the Everfree?”
Applejack who gotten back on her feet remembered Fluttershy was in trouble.
She began running in a direction which she thought was Ponyville
After about 30 minutes of running she was on a path to Ponyville.
First place she went was to Twilight’s Library.
Applejack running as fast she could attracted the attention of a certain rainbow Pegasus.
“Applejack, what’s up?” Rainbow Dash said flying close to Applejack.
“I’ll tell you once I get to Twilight. It’s About Fluttershy” Applejack said to Rainbow Dash.
Once there Applejack didn’t slow down she ran into the door knocking it open.
“Twilight!” Applejack yelled startling the unicorn.
“Applejack! What’s wrong?” Twilight said.
Standing next to her was Rarity.
“It’s Fluttershy she’s in trouble; we have to go to her now”
“Applejack slow down what’s going on” Twilight said.
“What’s wrong with Fluttershy?” Rainbow Dash asked
“Just get to Fluttershy’s cottage, I can’t explain it.” Applejack said.
“What do you mean” Rainbow Dash yelled.
“When I was there, and it was morning and Fluttershy was screaming and crying because something was hurting her and so I ran to get help, and I got hit by something and I woke up in the Everfree forest, now let’s go” Applejack said.
The three ponies stared at Applejack processing what she said.
Rainbow Dash flew out the window heading towards Fluttershy’s cottage; Applejack turned around to come with so did Rarity and Twilight.”
Once they were all there Rainbow Dash was standing outside holding a note out to Twilight.
“You better read it.”
Twilight took the note and read it aloud.
“To Fluttershy’s friends
Fluttershy Traveling with,
The Great and Powerful Trixie
P.S
Fluttershy wants somebody to watch her animals for her.”
“We have got to go after her” Rainbow Dash said.
“What If Fluttershy, wants to be there” Twilight said.
“For once I agree with Rainbow dash we go after her.” Applejack said
“But maybe Fluttershy wants to be there.” Twilight continued to reason.
“Twilight dear, do you really trust that Trixie?” Rarity asked.
“No, But” Twilight said.
“Then it’s settled, I’ll go tell Pinkie Pie and will go after them, tomorrow morning.” Rainbow dash said.
“Alright fine, tomorrow morning we’ll look for Fluttershy…” Twilight agreed.
The sun shone through the library windows onto Twilight.
Twilight who decide to stay up late researching how to track ponies only got a couple hours of sleep.
She did learn a spell that could help but she didn't get to practice it yet.
She opened her eyes and got up to get ready to leave, she had told Spike that she would be gone and he needs to watch the library while she was gone.
Pinkie pie's morning was her trying to decide how to feel on the whole Fluttershy situation. On one hoof she was ecstatic about the upcoming adventure, but on the other she was depressed about what happened to Fluttershy.
So her morning was slowed down a bit.
Rainbow Dash couldn't wait to get started she spent her morning exercising, flying around and waiting.
Applejack told her Big Mac, Granny Smith, and Apple Bloom where she would be
She didn't know how long she would be gone searching for Fluttershy.
Rarity had closed the Boutique and started packing what she needed.
Now she didn't know what she would need on this search so she pack what she thought she would need.
Fluttershy had made camp with Trixie on the side of the road on the way to Strutford, she was packing it up with Trixie
And continued to Strutford.
Applejack who was already on her way to Twilight's library.
When she reached the library she knocked.
She waited for a couple minutes knocked again.
Twilight had opened the door on the last knock.
"Hello?" she said, "oh, Applejack come in."
Applejack walked in instantly seeing the library in a mess.
Books were on the ground almost everywhere.
"Twilight what happened in here?" Applejack asked.
Twilight walked over to a book on a desk and picked it up.
"I've been up looking for a way to find Fluttershy, and I think I have." Twilight said, "I just need to test it."
"Alright what do we need?" Applejack asked.
Walking over to see this book.
"Fluttershy's DNA, like strand of hair, or something." Twilight said.
"I'll go see if I can find something at Fluttershy's cottage like a brush or something."
Applejack said heading out.
"Alright you do that, I’ll wait here." Twilight called after Applejack
In about ten minutes Applejack arrived at Fluttershy's cottage.
Applejack walked into the cottage all of Fluttershy's animal friends were scurrying around looking for Fluttershy.
None of them stopped to acknowledge Applejack except Angel bunny.
"Hey there lil'critter wanna help me find Fluttershy." Applejack asked Angel who nodded in response.
"Alrighty, find her hair brush or something like that, and I’ll get yall's food out." Applejack said.
Angel nodded again and hopped away.
"Now where would Fluttershy keep yall's food?"
Applejack asked herself
After about thirty minutes of searching Applejack couldn't find the food for them.
Angel came back with the brush and decided to pitch in and help which was as simple pointing to a room that was full of animal food.
"Thank ya kindly." Applejack said walking over the room.
Applejack fed the animals starting with Angel.
Afterwards Applejack got back to her original mission finding a brush.
Angel who had already found the brush handed it to Applejack.
"Thank you again, now I’m going to go get Twilight to find Fluttershy using this brush."
Applejack explained to Angel.
"Also we don't know long it'll take to find her, so I’m going to get someone to come and feed yall every day until we find her."
Applejack added then left.
Applejack made it back to Twilight’s library to find that everyone was there but not Rainbow Dash.
"There you are Applejack, did you find something." Twilight said as soon as Applejack walked in.
"Sure did Twilight, and I fed her animals."
Applejack replied.
"I forgot about them," Twilight said "I feel terrible now."
"You were just more focused on finding Fluttershy," Rarity joined in "It's alright."
"Anyways, Twilight I got the brush use your magic now." Applejack said.
"Like I said earlier, it might work and it might not." Twilight reminded Applejack.
Taking the brush with her magic, Twilight lifted it into the air and closed her eyes to help her concentrate on the spell.
After a minute or two Twilight muttered something.
"Did it work, did it work!?" Pinkie Pie yelled jumping up and down as she did.
"I think," Twilight started then paused, "they are going to, or they are already at Strutford."
"Now where is Rainbow Dash at?" Rarity asked
"If I know her she's already looking for Fluttershy." Applejack answered.
Right after she said this Rainbow dash came flying in through the window.
"What’s taking you guys so long?" Rainbow Dash asked. "I've already searched most of Ponyville and some of the Everfree Forest." Rainbow Dash continued.
"Well we were looking for Fluttershy with magic and we found her." Twilight explained.
"Really, where is she!?" Rainbow Dash asked ready to fly out to search for Fluttershy.
"Strutford or the road to Strutford." Twilight answered.
"Now before you go flying off to "save" Fluttershy wait for us because we’re coming too." Rarity said
"Yeah, yeah I know just don't slow me down." Rainbow dash said.
"I know you care for Fluttershy we all do, and that’s why we are all coming together." Twilight said.
"Well what are we waiting for, LET’S GO!"
Pinkie Pie Yelled.
Meanwhile with Fluttershy and Trixie.
"Now Fluttershy we are about to reach Strutford, we must find somewhere to stay tonight." Trixie said walking towards an Inn
They found the Inn had beds for rent at a cheap price.
One bedroom was perfect for their needs they would have to share the bed but they were low on bits,
The bedroom was small, only because it was meant for a single pony. The room consisted of a bed and a tacky lamp on a nightstand, after settling in Trixie decided it was time for Fluttershy’s first lesson
"Now Fluttershy I think it's time I teach you more about magic, and how to amaze the crowds." Trixie said.
"First don't be afraid to hurt people, sometimes fun has to hurt." Trixie explained.
"But do I have to hurt people to amaze the crowds?" Fluttershy asked.
"If someone challenges your magic, or is being rude towards your performance than yes" Trixie answered.
"Now you know a basic magic spell, but that won’t work to amaze crowds for too long."
Trixie said.
"So I will spend the rest of the day and other spare moments teaching you what I know,"
Trixie said, "And I can do this while getting my cart back."
"What happened to your cart?" Fluttershy asked.
Trixie's face was lit up with anger.
“It was stolen from me by some stallions and Trixie plans on getting it back” Trixie said.
“You’re not going to hurt them are you?” Fluttershy asked worried.
“Trixie is not going to hurt them,” Fluttershy sighed in relief. “You are.”
“What!” Fluttershy said.
“Yes, you’re going to get my cart back.” Trixie said. “And think of it as you’re first lesson. I’ll be teaching you how to defend yourself.”
“But, I don’t want to hurt anypony” Fluttershy argued. “Can’t we just talk to them, maybe they’re willing to give it back.”
“Please, they are low criminal scum, they would never negotiate, and the only way to get my cart back is by using force.” Trixie said.
“But I don’t want to hurt anypony.” Fluttershy said.
“Fluttershy, this is a spell every unicorn must know, at least let me teach you the spell, and we’ll figure out how to get my cart back without hurting anypony.” Trixie said.
“Well okay, how do we get started?” Fluttershy asked.
“Well every unicorns magic is based upon emotions. You will learn to control these emotions, focus them, concentrate then, and release them.” Trixie explained. “This is key for any spell.”
Trixie walked over to the night stand and stood in front of the lamp.
“Say something hideous and horrible jumps out at you. Something that wants to hurt you.” Trixie explained readying her horn. “Maybe it’s a monster and you are very scared, you need to control those emotions, focus them, and concentrate and…” Trixie fires a bolt from her horn blasting the lamp to pieces. “Release.”
“Now you try on the pieces of this lamp” Trixie said.
Being a beginner in magic Fluttershy focused on something that made her scared, like dragons, she concentrated real hard and energy began to build in her horn.
“Alright, now release Fluttershy.” Trixie said.
Fluttershy fired a bolt from her horn and destroyed the already destroyed lamp.
“Good job Fluttershy!” Trixie cheered.
“We’re going to have to pay for that lamp.” Fluttershy said.
“We will deal that later but for now,” Trixie’s stomach began to rumble. “How about we find somewhere to eat for dinner?” Trixie said.
Fluttershy nodded and they both exited the room failing to notice an eavesdropper who was knocked back by the door.
The pony behind the door was grinning madly as he mumbled something about “tonight being fun.”
Trixie and Fluttershy had returned quite late everypony had already gone to bed. And they arrived at the door to their room and on the door was a note.
-Dear Trixie,
Your cart has been returned to you and is waiting outside the inn around the back, in return I ask of one thing in return... some time alone with Fluttershy.
The two were confused by these turn of events but none the less they went outback to investigate, and there they found Trixie’s cart sitting there with a unicorn lying down in front of it.
“Oh, you two took your time getting out here.” The unicorn said in a calm and quiet voice. He got up on his hoofs.
“Who are you, and what is this?” Trixie asked. Curious as to who this pony was.
The unicorn smiled, “I’m simply returning cart to its rightful owner, and I want to talk to dear Fluttershy for a bit, it’s all I ask for in return.”
“How did you get it away from those criminals?” Fluttershy asked hiding behind Trixie.
“Tut tut, my dear, some questions are better left unanswered.” The unicorn approached them and they could now see that he was pale white with a green mane. “Now may I have some time alone with Fluttershy?”
Trixie looked back at Fluttershy who had nodded. “Fine, but you have five minutes.” Trixie walked over to her cart inspecting to see if it had been damaged.
Fluttershy stared away from the unicorn in attempt to not make eye contact.
The unicorn chuckled at this and continued to speak, “Fluttershy, you have been turned into an alicorn and as most ponies know all alicorns are a princess of something.” Fluttershy continued to look away but the unicorn used his hoof to force Fluttershy to look at him. “Now Fluttershy I’ve been around for quite some time, and I’ve not seen one queen rule the throne of Equestria for quite some time, and I believe it is time to rectify that and who is a better candidate then you.”
Fluttershy was confused by all this and frightened by this pony, but she still manage to ask.
“How? And why me?” the unicorn had let go of her and continued to smile a mischievous smile,
“Because the other princessess have been around for quite some time over a thousand years or so, their old and you young and if you ask me if celestia could raise the sun and moon why does she need Luna? So get rid of them both teach you how to raise the sun and moon you’re queen and everyone loves you.”
“But that doesn’t explain anything.” Fluttershy said.
The unicorn sighed, “Fluttershy I believe our time is up but if you ever need me cast this spell.” The unicorn handed Fluttershy a paper with instructions on how to perform the spell on them. The unicorn began to walk away when he stopped. “Oh, silly me, my name is Hazama so you know.” And with that he walked away.
