Absence of Love?

Chapter 1

Adrenaline coursing through the silky, suave pony’s veins, she slid a pair of revolvers out of her holsters. Three lawmares were giving chase, the thunderous sound of hooves against dirt ringing through her ears. Levitating the pair of revolvers had already been a chore by itself. Galloping through the cluttered, rough streets of Appleloosa while in hot pursuit was proving to be difficult. Sand flew into her eyes with every step of the way.

“Stop! You violated the law!” One of the mares yelled, a stray bullet missing the unicorn by a few inches. Though she wasn’t too worried about a few rookie vigilantes, she was worried about the sheriff. ‘At least that blasted lawmare wasn’t here now’, she thought. Dashing across the saloon, her muscles tensed in anticipation. Hopefully, she could make it across the jail without running into Sheriff Sparkle.

Just after finishing that thought, someone equally as dangerous had come out of the accursed building. A familiar, green and purple dragon had set his eyes on her. He wasn’t a really large dragon like most people thought, he was an adolescent dragon. Aiming for her forelegs with a sleek, black revolver, the dragon’s brow furrowed.

“Hey! How the hell did you get out of the Diamond Mine?!” The dragon snarled, firing a single shot at her. Barely avoiding the bullet, she felt a sharp pain near her left forehoof. Eyes widened, the unicorn accidentally discharged a round, resulting in the death of a lawmare behind her.

“Charge N’ Targe!” Cried one of the vigilantes, running towards her dying friend.

Angry for various reasons, both momentary and accumilative, the dragon grabbed a nearby tomahawk and chucked it at the unicorn. In an effort to not die, the marshmallow mare threw herself to the right. Realizing that her veil had been taken clear off, she duck faced. One of the lawmares barked something at her.

“Pay the court a fahn er serve your sentence. Yer stolen goods are now-” Casually, Rarity shoots her mid-sentence. Gasping in surprise, the dragon cocks the hammer of his revolver only to find it shot out of his claw. Grinning mischievously, Rarity prepares to shoot the dragon. He shuts his eyes tightly, waiting for the moment he starts pushing up daisies. A few seconds pass by before he opens them again, a single brow cocked in surprise.

“Aren’t you gonna shoot me...?” He said, perplexed by her decision to spare him.

With half-lidded eyes, she gave a lustrous smile.

“Not yet.” She said, her right forehoof momentarily climbing up and down his chest.

“Plus, I realize that I do owe you a favor. Afterall, you didn’t shoot me like your sheriff ordered. You were so generous as to spare me,” Her eyes rolled into the back of her head.

“Though you could have been more gentle with the ropes.”

A single round was fired. Startled, she jumped and searched for the shooter. Only a few yards away from her stood a mulberry pony. She wore an impressive, brown duster with a shiny-but-stained sheriff’s star on her chest. Beside her, she levitated a solitary, dark grey colt revolver. The smoke trailed from the barrel, fading like a bright star.

“Are you done molesting my assistant?” She asked, an unimpressed expression on her face.

“No?” Rarity replied with a witty smirk. Then, the sheriff slammed her through the front window, magic dragging her by the neck. Bits of broken glass were slightly lodged into her cheeks. Scoffing, she immediately picked them out of her face.

“You better not have left a scar Sheriff Sparkle!” The mare yelled, now furious that somepony had dared to ruin her pristine, glowing appearance. Seeing the sheriff barge in through the door, she tackled Sparkle onto the dirt. Out of breath, Sheriff Sparkle attempts to get back on her hooves, but Rarity’s efforts to pummel her into the dirt are occupying.

“Buck off, you ass!” Twilight blurts, shoving her off and into the cold, hard ground.

“Did you just call me ugly?!” Rarity retorted, promptly bucking her in the stomach.

“Stop! Stop!” The sheriff’s assistant pleaded, not knowing what to do but beg. For some reason, Rarity heeds his words. Slowly backing away from the Sheriff, she gave the dragon one last look.

It was a mixture of gratitude and... something else.

“Thank you, Spikey-wikey.”

Galloping away, she held onto her bag of bits for dear life. That and her revolvers, but the cash was the whole reason she was there in the first place. Sparkle, still recovering from her scrap, panted and got back onto her hooves. A trail of salty, bitter blood fell down her muzzle and into her mouth. It was a lot like the taste of failure. As it turns out, she wasn’t prepared for this.

Sitting quietly, she contemplated her latest heist. The soft, silky bedding underneath her had usually brought comfort in times of confusion. Though, tonight, they were nothing more than trivial, meaningless clutter. Sighing, Rarity fell back into her plush queen-sized bed. Then, she looked up. She saw herself in the mirror above her bed. There was a pristinely white mare sitting there, striking a provocative position, but naturally so. Her right foreleg was covering her naughty bits.

With her left forehoof resting on her chest, the mare emulated a modest virgin. Bare and sleeping on soft, rose-red silk. In all essence, this mare was an unpicked cherry, ripe and ready to be taken. Except... no one was taking her. Even with her lusciously adorned sapphires, which were sought by ponies far and wide, piercing through their very souls, none had come.

“What a sad mare,” she thought aloud.

“Such untaken beauty and... unfulfilled love. All she can do is fill the void in her heart with lavish riches and hope for happiness.”

Sitting up, Rarity sits at the edge of the bed on her haunches. All around her were familiar items, though she saw right through them.

“And somehow... they look right through me.” She muttered, the stolen goods mocking her inability to find the elusive ‘true love’ everypony seemed to talk about. Though diamonds were a best girl’s friend, they were poor companions. They weren’t going to hold her through thick and thin. In fact, it would be the other way around.

As the sullen thought had begun to die down, another concept sprung to life. Slowly, but surely, it was emerging from the innermost parts of her.

“What about Spike?”

Spike the deputy fixed his holster. The cold, night air was more tense than he had remembered. Whistling winds and the distant howls of timberwolves were chipping away at his confidence. The last time he’d had to deal with a pack of those beasts, he’d been rewarded with a long scar across his left claw.

Treading lightly, his spurs jingled and jangled regardless. They weren’t the best with sneaking, but they made a snazzy outfit. That and the cowhide vest. Stepping outside, Spike lit a cigarette and the embers flew throughout the barren sands. The relief was pleasant, but fleeting. Like a lot of things in his life, actually. Looking up, he stared at the full moon.

“They say the full moon inspires darker urges in ponies...” A familiar, soft voice uttered from beside him. Startled, he reached for his holster. The moonlight danced across Rarity’s soft features, illuminating her eyes in a wistful, divine fashion. They were the seas and sunny skies of love within two, shimmering jewels. To put it simply, he was disarmed. She could have done anything to him at this point.

Eyelids lowered, she gave him a charming, naughty grin.

“Do you feel it too, Spike?” Rarity uttered into his ear with a silky, husky tone. His heart began to beat louder and louder. The feeling in his chest... was it really something more than fatal attraction? Was it love?

“Can you feel the beat of your heart rising, too?” She moved into his chest, her soft fur caressing his hard scales. She could feel Spike’s heartbeat through his chest, and he could do the same with hers.

“There’s something between us, you and I... Despite our differences... it seems we’re meant to be.” She said, kissing his lips softly. There, the two were entranced within each other’s eyes. A curious, miraculous link had bonded them now. If it were the threads of fate, or even the misguided wind-tunnels of Eros’s wings... it didn’t matter now. There was something about them that seemed to put the world on hold, something that seemed to make the stars shine even brighter.

“Come with me, Spike. Let’s be together... if only for a night.” The fluttering sensation in the dragon’s chest had intensified. Mustering all of his strength, he finally spoke.

“Let’s see if we can make it more than tonight.” He suggested with an air of charisma.

A low, primordial shade of edom covered the two with warm radiance. Both of them were genuinely nervous, surprisingly. But, mostly, it was Spike that had been anxious. He’d never been with a mare before. Much less with somepony like Rarity, who’s spell he’d fallen under so easily. Lying on his back, the dragon’s scales were embraced lovingly by silk sheets. Spike twiddled his claws, waiting eagerly for his first taste of love.

Scanning the room with his eyes, he first saw a mess of perfumes and jewelry. After doing a double take, he realized that the mare of his dreams was standing in the doorway. Low-lidded, she slowly made her way to the bed. Stopping at the edge, she gently climbed on and lay down beside him. Turning, she caressed his neck with her muzzle.

“Are you ready, Spike...?” Rarity uttered, her voice as soft and delicate as a dove’s wings.

Firmly, Spike bested his doubts and put his right claw on her shoulder.

“It’s... uh, sorta my first time, so...” He trailed off, at first staring into her eyes, but then leaving them to wander the room. Smirking, she dismissed his insecurities and swiftly positioned herself on top of him. Her velvety coat brushed against him, prompting a certain stiffness to stir in his groin. There was a certain plushness to her that made him tingle. And tingle he did.

Rarity began rubbing her marehood against his groin, inspiring a steady wave of heat and pleasure to rise within the two. Spike’s member was now visible. It wasn’t very much comparable to any other dragon’s package. He was her first and only dragon, after all. The mare had turned herself around, her plush rear bumping against his stiffening length. Shivers went down Spike’s spine. Slipping his reptillian prick between her flush, marshmallowy cheeks, the mare panted softly. Spike found the sensation strange. Her dry-but-naturally-silky fur was causing all the nerves in his length to twitch. As each hair brushed against his rod, he felt a blissful wave of alien pleasure wash over him.

Eyes laxly closed, the dragon’s claws wandered into his lover’s sex. A hushed gasp escaped her lips, a rosy blush now spread across the mare’s cheeks. His fingers slid in and out of her, creating a squelching sound with each, repeated motion. Gradually, they increased their speed, both lovers being teased by one another, waiting for sweet, sweet consummation. Finally, after what seemed like an eternity, both Spike and Rarity grew impatient.

“I want you inside of me...” The dazzling mare uttered, her face buried in red silk.

Sliding his fingers out of her, he positioned his solid snake right behind her glistening folds. With a deep breath, he slowly pushed into her. A short, squeaky yelp rose from her. He stopped momentarily, fearing that he’d hurt her. Having none of it, his lover backed into his length, plunging him deeper into her clenching tunnel. It was tight enough to cause immense pleasure. Rarity moved her hips back and forth in a rhythmic, slow and deliberate pattern. Every time his rod had been thrust back into her, the mare let out blissful, high-pitched squeals. The blissful sensation of being inside of her caused him to grow even harder. Groping her pillowy derriere, Spike began thrusting, eliciting several continuous gasps of delight from Rarity. Panting, she continued to squeal in ecstasy with every loud slap. He leaned into her, his stomach on her back and his strong jaw on her neck.

“Turn me around so I can see your eyes...!” She moaned, biting her lip hard.

Doing as his love had demanded, Spike lay Rarity on her back. Smirking deviously, she playfully pushed him over, repositioning herself over him. Now in the cowgirl position, the luscious mare slammed herself up and down the entire length of his member. The intense pressure building-up inside of her was beginning to prove too much. Hardly able to contain himself either, Spike clenched the bedding underneath him.

“Rarity, I’m...!” He grunted, overwhelmed by the hot, loving warmth of her sex.

“I know, so am I...!” She nearly yelled in a mezzo-forte voice. A short, squeal-like sound followed her statement as Spike began to thrust along with her. Just before the two were about to climax, they held together hoof-in-hand. With a thunderous roar, the two spilled into each other, a gushing euphoria washing over them. Thrusting into Rarity thrice, all of Spike’s hot seed shot into Rarity’s tunnel, startling her slightly. She furrowed her brow and wore an annoyed expression. Smiling meekly, Spike froze in anxiety. Then, the two chuckled and embraced each other.

After what had seemed like hours, the two were finally calm and relatively tidy. Spike and Rarity were lying beside each other. There were no sheets on the bed, but that didn’t stop them from being together. With calm hearts and sore bodies, they began to fall asleep in each other’s arms. With a hushed whisper, Rarity bid her Spikey-wikey good night.

“Goodnight, my love.” The mare said warmly.

“Goodnight, my little gunslinger.” Spike joked, running a claw through the tip of her mane.

Then, as light subsided and consciousness faded, the couple fell asleep. Off into the land of dreams they went, their night of harmonious passion ending with a peaceful rest. So ended the tale of two lover’s bound in Eros’ straps. And instead began the workings of love beyond harlequin romance, beyond lust and the fleeting fruits of youth... Though, that is a story for another time... Ciao, darling.
