The Study of An Alicorn's Sleep Pattern

Sleep. That word seemed familiar to Twilight. Oh yeah, duh, she was supposed to sleep. So why was she awake? Because of books, of course. Yes, because books are better than sleep. Who needs sleep when they have books and coffee?
Well usually she did get some sleep despite all the books in her library, but today was different. Or was it night? It did not matter. For right now she had some study to do. Yes, sleep patterns of the alicorns. After about seven hours of studying Twilight discovered that nopony had ever studied the subject. Therefore she decided that it was her duty to do so. Of course she could not allow Celestia to know she was studying her. After all, subjects always changed their patterns if they knew they were being watched.

As if on cue Celestia entered the room. Her horn lit up for a second and a small frown found its way on her face for a short second. It quickly turned to a sly smile, though. Huh, that was weird. Twilight certainly did not recognize the spell. Well, it was Celestia. She could not expect to know all the spells the alicorn knew.
Celestia walked into the middle of the royal room. She sat down on a group of pillows she usually read Twilight’s friendship reports on. Her back was facing Twilight, not that she minded of course. It was a nice view so to say.
Twilight noticed Celestia's horn lit up and a page from something was levitated towards her. She repositioned a little and started reading out loud.

“I-I can e-explain,” Twilight stuttered.

“W-Well I was trying to sleep the other day when I asked myself a question. I could not find the answer anywhere so I decided to go on fieldwork to find out,” She rambled.
“And what question was that my faithful student?” Celestia gave Twilight a sultry look.
“H-How much time does an Alicorn spend sleeping,” Twilight admitted. Celestia looked confused for a second.
“Okay.” Celestia leaned her muzzle towards Twilight until it was just inches away from her ear. “And what about your diary entry, what kind of things did you dream I did to you?” This emitted another adorable squeak from the lavender mare.
“I-I’d rather not say,” Twilight tried.
“Oh yes you would. First you break into my room, and then you hide in my closet and spy on me on my private hours. I should be punishing you, but since I’m such a nice pony I will let you explain before I decide your fate. Now what did I do in your dreams?” Celestia asked again. Beneath her Twilight was horrified. What was Celestia going to do with her? The ideas that popped into Twilight’s head were so horrifying she could faint there and then, but she had to stay clear. Maybe she should just tell the truth? She was pretty much dead anyways, right?

The first thing that reached Twilight's mind as she awoke was the smell of sweat and musk. Had last night really happened, or had it just been her imagination? Opening her eyes would most likely give her the answer, yet she kept them closed. She was afraid that fi she opened her eyes, she’d find a world of disappointment. “My faithful student Twilight Sparkle, I’m really sorry I was not there when you woke up. I was not expecting you to sleep for such a long time, and the court had to be dealt with. I would very much like you to take a shower and wait for me to come back. Your mentor and ruler, Celestia.” Twilight read out loud.
Well, at least she would be getting a shower before her doom, that has to be why Celestia’s rule was never questioned. It’s a shame really; all Twilight wanted was some intimacy with her princess. “Everything?” Celestia was confused.
"First thing first, how did you get hold of my journal?"
"I-I kind of saw it lying under the bed, a-and I just could not help myself," Celestia squeaked. Twilight was starting to terrify her.
