Journal
Day 1-Arrival
Load Full Story...If your reading this its either because I'm either reading this to you now and your ears are soaking up every word, or I've been killed by the creatures that live in this land and you've managed to translate this journal, either way I hope you become entertained or intrigued by the events which occur in this story or journal, to you this may just be a story written by a very imaginative...whatever creature is sentient here and may just believe this is a fluke, but I assure you listener, or reader, that everything I have written down is true, all experiences, times good, times bad, romance (Unlikely), hate, tragedy, all true, even as I'm writing these words down now, I know I will experience these in this land, I don’t know, whether it be precognition or magic, I know. My name is William. Graham. Barnett. And this, is my story...
Now I don’t really want to go into detail about my life previously, I have only just spent a day in this place after all and for all I know I could have just been kidnapped and abandoned out here, and all this writing would just be pointless, but just to be safe I'll give you a couple of details; I came from an upper class family, a personal hobby of mine was reading, and just for extra precautions, I'm a human, "A human?" you may say, a human... A human is very hard to describe without a creature with its likeness, for example, I could say a human looked like a hairless gorilla, but do you already see the first problem, I don’t even know if gorillas inhabit these strange lands, or even exist at all here at all. So I will describe them in words you'll (Hopefully) understand; Humans are overall large creatures, bipedal, usually six feet tall and come in several shades of colours, we also have a shag of hair on top of our heads, we also have a thin layer of hair which covers our entire body, but not to the same thickness as we have on top our heads. There, hopefully that will give you some clue as to our appearance looks like(Unless I'm reading this directly to you of course)
So I suppose I should start from when I arrived here shouldn't I. I would imagine it to be rather boring to listen to my day before I came here, but I suppose describing the events which, in turn led up to my eventual arrival here, and learning a 'little' bit of an entirely new creature from another plain of existence would most likely have some intrest in anyone wouldn't it? So enough dilly-dallying, lets begin...
The events which led to me coming to this land actually happened all the previous day (Not actually sure whether or not I arrived here on the same day as yesterday, because a large period of it was 'blank') but never the less, I will try to explain the day's events in detail and go into length about certain actions I take, I may not be the best writer, but detail counts most of all in a journal (especially one you know is going to be read by someone, or thing) and I will certainly try my best to impress, and that’s what counts.
I awoke like any other morning; the aroma of French toast (I'll do a glossary for that) the sun's rays shining down upon my face (I'm assuming you know what that is, unless you have a different name for it. Then this is going to make this thing a little more difficult) and of course, my butler Charles's looming presence at the foot of my bed. Charles has been my butler ever since I was a child, he has been at the foot of my bed every waking morning for as long as I can remember, at first it scared, being a child finding a slender man at the foot of my bed every morning scared the socks of me, but I soon grew to accept it, and then welcome it.
"Must you do that every morning Charles?" I asked while stretching my relaxed arms.
