Binary was just doing his normal, boring scientific research, when he thought of something. In Equestria no-one had tried to advance in several studies that had been studied back on Earth. He decided he would become rich and famous by unravelling a scientific mystery. He later finds out that physics tend to change when you're in a different universe.
