THE LUNA REBELLIONS
A lot of ponies are clueless as to the goings on in Cloudsdale lately. Lots of stories about the royal Princess Luna's recent odd behaviour, what with this morning arriving late again, not too late but late enough for silly rumours to invent themselves. Some ponies are saying that Luna is refusing to lower the moon. Even accusing the sisters, that she has been converted to evil by none other than Princess Celestia!? her own own sister!? (not to mention Equally as royal) I honestly and severely doubt that any of that is true. She was probably just tired from having the annual day delays meeting, about running the time back an hour so earth pony farmers can get more sunlight during the winter.
Although putting in mind what has been said by Thunder Striker recently (and he IS one of Celestia's personal guards!) about how even Celestia, has been acting unusual recently, wandering around the palace and trying to make Luna remember something recently. this is all starting to get on my mind a lot more. It seems that these "rumours" are becoming more and more likely, to be true as they days go on.
Tuesday, 19th September, Royal Guard Barracks
I started making my way to the food hall at the barracks. As I arrived I remembered just how grand this room was. The large hall was decorated with trophies and wall rugs, and the tables were strewn around the room in lines forming a wonderful spiral shape. It had one main food collection area over at the left-side (which is were I was headed) and the huge dark pine panels on the walls made it every bit more attractive. When I became suddenly distracted...
"...And then she denied ever doing it!" I heard a purple coated pegasus say, I went over to join my friend. Lieutenant Starlight Velvet was talking, to a young sky-blue unicorn, about... Well, something.
"Hi Stars" His nickname. "what're you doing?" I asked as I sat down next to him at a very smart looking, round, oak table.
"Huh? Oh hi Lightning." He answered. "I was just telling Sky, about what Luna said yesterday evening- Oh I forgot, Sky this is commander Lightning Storm..." He motioned to me with his hoof.
"How do you do mr. Lightning Storm." The colt addressed me as we shook hooves.
"...And Lightning this is captain Thunder's little brother Bluesky Striker".
" Oh, so you're that little rascal Thunder has been telling me all about." I shot him a jokey-disapproving frown but we all couldn't contain the barrage of chuckles that followed. "It's good to meet you Sky." We sat back down again and launched into conversation once more. "So, what was it that Luna was saying last night?"
"Oh yeah! You were on patrol, so, don't you know about it yet?" I shook my head "right, well, as the sun was setting yesterday me, Thunder and Sky were on top of the third guard tower, teaching him about how to recognise the constellations Canis Major from Canis Minor. And then I notice-"
"I Saw It First!" Sky interrupted.
"Oh yeah you told me. ok so..." He facehoofed and then got back on track. "Ok, so as we were studying the night's stars, we had a telescope. When we gave it to Sky to look into, He noticed a navy blue blur through the telescope, then when we looked up at the moonrise, I- we saw that Princess Luna was hovering before it..."

As the sun was setting and clearing a path for the night. A monstrous BOOM of a voice started ringing throughout Canterlot and probably most of Equestria too. "CITIZENS OF EQUESTIA! HEAR ME!" The princess of the night Bellowed. "IF THOU DOTH NOT, ENJOY MY NIGHTS, AS THOU DOTH MINE OWN SISTERS DAY, THEN THY MOON SHAN'T BE LOW'RD BY THE DAWN OF NEXT!" As the growing crowd of spectating ponies were beginning to figure out what that actually meant, the Regal Luna took flight back to Canterlot castle. Leaving everypony with their jaws embedded in the floor...

"... whats more is she then denied the entire course of events by the following morning!" Starlight finished with a wave of a hoof.
After I had heard what had happened last night, and deciphered the princess's speech, I realised what this meant. Eternal night?! But, Why? Then I realised how unrealistic this was.
"Wait, why'd she lower the moon and make way for day, then, and not keep to her cruel promise?" I asked in sarcastic disbelief.
"Uhh, I don't know." A slight hint of curiosity in Starlight's tone of voice... " Actually, maby-"
"OH SWEET HAY! I need to get back to mum and dad right now!" Bluesky abruptly announced." I'm SO sorry guys but I need to, I promised I'd help unpack! Goodbye!" He finished as he galloped off.
"Oh parasprite piss! I should probably walk him back. His parents recently moved house and are under quite some stress, it'll be the least i can do to help. I'll meet you again later, Okay?"
"Yeah, Ok. But Stars!" I called to him as he was trotting to the door
"Yeah?"
"Can you watch your language! There are ponies here trying to eat." As I said that a couple of pegasi nearby shook thier heads in disapproval at him.
"Oh my goodness! sorry, wasn't thinking..."
Yeah like always...
Starlight Velvet has never really been one to think about what he does, before he does it. For instance one time, him and I had flown a rather unhappy (and lazy if you ask me.) Celestia to Cloudsdale. While the Princess was there to ask why the yearly scheduled snowfalls had been late again. Me and Stars were supposed to stay back and keep an eye on the carriage. supposed to. But sadly Starlight doesn't work like that. As soon as the Princess had left his sight, he headed straight for a rainbow coloured pool. He dived in. When he did though I started yelling at him to get out, then he surprised me like no pony had ever surprised any pony before. He started drinking the stuff! This was Cloudsdales special brew of rainbow, and my silly colleague was lapping it up like a kitten...
What did I do? I pulled him out. As soon as I did I regretted it, he had scooped a load of it up, and stuffed the bright rainbow juice right into my mouth! 'Holy sweet Princesses THIS IS AWESOME' I should have never done that but, Dang! That stuff was good! 'Oh may goojness viss tathes like va first kis I've efar hab!' I gurgled as I stuffed it into my face, but it honestly tasted fantastic! just like my first kiss! As soon as those shenanigans were dealt with we trotted back through the clouds feeling rather pleased, to guard the carriage once again. Hay! I was lucky to get out of that one alive! For all I had known the Princess was waiting with an axe at the ready for sure. But she wasn't 'phew!' We had managed not to get caught... Mostly. There was still a faint trail of rainbow left on the clouds. But being the pegasus that I was, I only had to reshape that bit of cloud and hey presto!
All of a sudden a large gruurgle! erupted from my stomach
"Wow I really am hungry." I said to myself quietly. "I guess I better get some food."
