Spike has spent his entire life trying to escape the memories of the past. As an old dragon now, he realizes that his days may actually be coming to an end after some "old friends" drop by to pay him a visit.

Keep in mind, I started writing this before S3 and S4 (hence the "Alternate Universe" tag), so in staying relevant to canon my story is totally f%#$ed. Hope that doesn't throw too many people off.

This story has been on hiatus for a while now, and I'm deciding to publish it just so I can improve my own writing by learning from the criticism of others. So criticize all you please; it helps me greatly. However, when you do, keep in mind that I'm going to be looking for some kind of example or instance where "It's boring" or "The characters don't seem quite right…" So just make sure to clarify!
