My Little Populous: Conquering is Magicby ImpboyChaptersChapter 1: Night FallsChapter 2: Crisis of FaithChapter 3: Combined ForcesChapter 4: Death From AboveChapter 5: Building BridgesPrologue: The Journey BeginsChapter 1: Night FallsIt was nearing the end of the day and Princess Luna woke up just in time to raise the moon and start her nightly duties. When she finished raising the moon, she took a quick gaze of her night sky for any oddities that may lurk out there. After a panoramic sweep, she smiled gladly that no weirdness is happening tonight. As she walked back in to start heading for Night Court; she felt a disturbance. She quickly went outside to see if her mind was playing tricks on her. 'That's weird, I thought I felt a massive magic energy spike earlier.' When she came back inside, she felt it again; this time it was stronger. She then immediately dashed to her balcony and looked up. She saw what appeared to be a star that is slowly getting brighter each minute. Luna at first panicked, 'What if this is something bad coming?' But as she continued to feel it coming closer and closer, she felt more relaxed and reassured. 'No, I feel no evil at all; but I will need to make sure though that I'm not wrong.' Over on the other side of the castle, her sister Celestia is also feeling the spike of magical energy as well. Unlike Luna, Celestia can tell if one's magic is used for good or evil. She knows this is not a threat and is likely to make peace; but, she has made mistakes before in the past like her niece Cadence's odd behavior during the wedding and dismissing Twilight's letter about the Mare in the Moon prophecy. 'Whatever you are, you are welcome to our lands as long as you follow our rules' As if on cue, a bright blue beam of magic energy came down into the outskirts of Equestria near the Everfree Forest. Both sisters were amazed at the light show they are witnessing. It was indescribable, it was like an aurora but cylindrical and non-solar related. As quickly as it came, the beam ended leaving the Royal Sisters to guess where the exact location the beam hit. They took no time as they immediately start to fly towards the location of the beam. Luna noticed her sister nearby and immediately flew to her. "I get it you felt it too, sister?" "Yes Luna I did. We must find where the beam landed exactly." "But sister, it could be anywhere in the outskirts. I'm not sure there's even a visible trace on the ground if we come near." "True, but trust me, I know where the beam landed. Just follow me." Luna nodded and started following her sister in her direction of where she knew the beam landed exactly. Once they got there Luna spots something on the ground. "Sister! Look! Down there!" Celestia looked where her sister was pointing and immediately saw something she had heard but never seen before. On the ground was a female human about 5'3" that has tanned skin and seems to be wearing a tribal getup similar to the zebra clothing in Zebrica, only that this has more detail. The human also appears to have a staff of some kind with the head being a shape of a hand with a blue crystal inside. It looked like the human is unconscious but breathing. "Sister, do you think this creature is what we felt earlier?" "Yes, and she appears to have been fatigued but okay. We need to get her to a hospital so she can rest just to be safe." "Very well sister." They carefully picked up the human and then flew back to Canterlot. When they arrived, guards took notice of the creature on Celestia's back. Celestia told them it was alright and she needs be taken to a hospital. They immediately took her to Canterlot Hospital where she then was given a VIP room by the princess so she can rest easily. "We must leave sister, I still have night court to contend with and you need your rest." "I suppose, but can you check up on her?" "Of course, I would never abandon something that we found that is not a threat." With that, Celestia took her leave and flew back to the castle to her chambers to rest. Luna looked back at the human one last time before also taking off to attend Night Court. 'Don't worry, I'll come back to check on you later.' She then leaped out the window and flew back to the castle. Her mind then started processing about what kind of magic this human holds, It certainly felt new to both her and her sister. Maybe by morning if she stirs she'll ask what magic it is. For now, she has to hear cases just like any other court. Meanwhile... In Ponyville, a certain purple unicorn also witnessed the beam and immediately was excited about what she saw. "Spike! Where are you?" Her ears perked towards the door as she heard tiny footsteps come up the steps. "I'm here, I'm here; What do you need Twilight?" "You just missed the most awesome light show ever!" "You mean that beam of magical energy that just touched down outside the Everfree Forest?" "Wait you saw it? I thought an assistant like you isn't good for keeping with current events." "Ha-ha, very funny; but anyways, what do you think this beam means? Good? Evil?" "I don't know Spike; but one things for sure, Princess Celestia probably saw this too and she is probably heading to the spot it touched down now." "So, you are not going to go there yourself for once?" "No need, I know my mentor has it covered. She'll send me a letter once she evaluates her findings." "Well okay, I do hope she knows what she's doing." "Spike, I know she'll do fine. You just got to believe her." "Alright, well I'm going to bed. Goodnight Twilight." "Yeah I'm pretty tired too, Goodnight Spike." Twilight took down her telescope, packed it away, and then climbed into bed. She squeals in delight quietly because she can't wait to hear what the princess finds. Chapter 2: Crisis of FaithThe next day, Celestia went to the hospital room to check on the human. She arrived just in time to see her stir from being out cold. The human fluttered her eyes open and then rubbed them to clear her vision. She then looked around and then saw Celestia sitting next to her. She quickly panicked and started to grab her staff. "Whoa there, I'm not going to hurt you. You seem like you had gone through a lot when you were out." The human calmed down and retreated her hand back to the bed. She immediately knew the language her people spoke. "You speak my language?" "I believe I do. I'd like to introduce myself. My name is Princess Celestia. I rule this land named Equestria for 1000 years. What's your name?" "Shenah." "Well Shenah, nice to know who you are. You seem like a nice person to talk to. Now, may I ask something?" "What is it princess?" "You can call me Celestia dear." "Oh, well, what is it Celestia?" "Do you possess a new type of magical energy? I've never heard of this type before." Shenah hesitated that this equine can feel it but answered her anyway. "Yes, I do possess magical energy. It's called mana. Whenever someone has the power of the mana, they have the ability to lead their tribe and at the end; become a god." Celestia was intrigued by this. This new energy has the power to become one with the heavens. But being a goddess already, she doesn't need this. "That's quite an interesting energy source. Though I really don't need it because I am already a god." Shenah's eyes got wide. She's talking to an actual god; but not just any god, a god that is earthbound. A god that can still interact with others and having limitations. She immediately bowed her head towards Celestia. "Please your immortal highness, I have unexpectedly accepted a challenge the gods gave me back in my world. It seems they want me to explore a world where there is magic everywhere and learn from it." Celestia thought for a moment. 'This woman came from a world that only people who have the power of this energy can lead their people and become gods. She thinks I'm one of the gods that sent her here on purpose to learn new magic. Though I never had any intentions to bring a human here for that reason.' She then smiled warmly at Shenah. "This is all so interesting to hear. Sadly, I don't think I was involved to sending you here. I currently don't have the magic to summon another being from another world." Shenah raised her head and felt relieved. So, nobody in this world had expected her to come here on purpose. "Thank you Princ...Celestia. Though I have question myself; How did I get here?" "Oh, we found you on the outskirts just outside of the Everfree Forest. We quickly escorted you here so you can rest up because it looked like you were unconscious." "We? There were more than you that went to see me?" "Indeed, me and my sister, Luna saw a beam of magical energy come from the heavens and from the beam, found you." Shenah now realized something. She didn't just transport to another world. She transported a whole new dimension. She now felt lonely that none of her followers came along to help aid her challenge. Suddenly, she had an idea; but first she needed to ask Celestia about finding land that is large enough to hold a settlement for her. "Hey Celestia?" "Yes dear?" "Do you know anywhere that I can build a settlement? I promise I won't hurt anyone." Celestia thought about some good places for a new village. She immediately found the best one; where Shenah was found. "Actually, where we found you there is a lot of space that can be used for a new village." "Oh thank you Celestia! Can you take me there right now, I feel much better now." "Of course, just hop on my back and I'll take you there!" Shenah jumped up on Celestia's back and then they took off to where Shenah was found laying. Shenah went through her mind about this new world. 'This world is actually peaceful with no rivals to hinder it. I might just stay on this world and live a second life as long as I have followers.' She then smiled at the thought and returned to gazing towards where Celestia is taking her to. When they arrived, Shenah told Celestia to stand back. Celestia was confused by this until she realized why. Shenah then flattened the ground around her and then out of the ground, eight pillars marked with tribal writing came up in a circle one by one. Celestia's jaw dropped to the ground by the amazing power. "Wow, that is really interesting to see Shenah. I never knew you can make formations on a dime." "This isn't just a formation, this is my reincarnation site. It helps me come back whenever I die." Reincarnation. That's another thing Celestia and Luna also lacked. If they die, it's over and the powers get transmitted to the next descendant(s). Though having the ability to come back from the dead is a really useful thing for her and her sister. That means when they die and pass their powers to the next descendant(s) they can still maintain their looks, just without the flowing manes and overpowered magic. "Well now I'm jealous." Shenah giggled as Celestia pouted at her. "Oh I don't think you need it at all, you are a god after all. Gods are immortal, they can't die." "I guess that's true, but in the future we have to give away our god powers to the next descendant(s). It is then we return to just normal mortal alicorns like my niece." Shenah felt sorry about her. She tried to think of something to cheer her up. She then had an idea. "Celestia, I have an idea, but it will take a while until we reach it. If we can, I can show you how you can become one with the heavens." Celestia's face beamed in delight. She knew there was a loophole somewhere that she can still be a god while at the same time have descendants be gods on Equestria. She squealed like a little filly at the thought and even hopped for joy a few seconds. She immediately regained her regal posture afterwards. "That would be most wonderful Shenah. I would love to hear from your teachings." It was then that the day is fading to night fast. Celestia almost forgot about the time and immediately set the sun for Luna's moon to rise. "Wow, time sure flies when you are having a lot of discussion." "Indeed, may we head back to the hospital so you can rest some more?" "Yes, I'd like that, thank you." Shenah got on Celestia again and flew back to the room she was left to rest for the night before. When they arrived, Shenah was surprised to see Luna in the room waiting. Shenah got off Celestia and then stared at Luna who in turn, stared back. "Hello." "Greetings human. I suspect my sister first caught you awake am I not?" "Yes she did. You must be her sister Luna." Luna nodded. "Aye, but I haven't known your name since I'm nocturnal and don't really visit much during the day." "Oh well, my name is Shenah. It's so nice to meet you." "I have been wanting to ask you something, what type of magic do you hold? This is completely new to me." Shenah then told her about the mana and how it works and what it does to people who possess it. She also talked about her journey with Celestia to the site they found her and made her reincarnation site. Luna was amazed at the thought of reincarnation. She was just as jealous as her sister, but Shenah reassured her that she can help her stay a god and still give their powers to descendants. "*yawn*Well I'm tired. I need my rest for tomorrow." "Oh? What for?" Luna asked. "You'll see. Think of it as a surprise." "Oh, well, okay then. Sister, I think it's also time we leave." "Indeed Luna, I am getting pretty tired myself from all that's happened." "Okay well, goodnight sis!" "Goodnight Luna." They then both flew off towards their intended destinations while Shenah gets back in the bed and rests up for tomorrow. Chapter 3: Combined ForcesThe next morning, Celestia took Shenah back to her reincarnation site because of the surprise she promised them last night at the hospital. When they got there, Shenah noticed Luna is already patiently waiting for them to arrive. Luna was eager to see what Shenah can do with her magic as do her sister. "Alright, I promised you both a surprise so here we go. I'm going to demonstrate what kind of spells I can cast. I'll start with the simple ones, then I'll cast a few of the more powerful ones later. You understand?" Celestia and Luna both nodded. "Okay, but first I'm going to need some targets, Celestia do you mind?" "Of course." Celestia then used her magic to make several wooden targets in a line in front of Shenah to cast her spells on. "Thank you, Celestia. Now, the simplest spell I can use is the Blast spell." She then faced her first target then yelled "Taka!" towards it and out from her staff came a fireball which incinerated the target in seconds. Celestia and Luna were stunned for words. 'Wow, that fireball cooked that target like it was nothing.' Celestia thought. "It may have killed the target in one hit, but this spell may take more than one shot to kill a living thing. Next is the Swarm spell; but I'm going to have to ask for permission to use it on a living thing. Celestia may I?" Celestia gulped. "Okay, but be warned that I can still feel pain even though I'm a down-to-earth goddess." Shenah nodded. She then told Luna to stand away from her sister while she casts it. "Woonaga!" A dozen of angry hornets quickly appeared and started to sting Celestia. Celestia then flailed her forelegs and galloped away from them in panic. Luna couldn't help but giggle at her sister's panic until she got caught in the swarm and she began galloped away in panic as well. As soon as the bugs appeared, they disappeared after a while. Shenah then tried to contain her laughter throughout the cast not to embarass them. After both sisters healed themselves with an insta-heal spell, "Next spell please." they said. "Invisibility and Magical Shield, these can be used effectively against the enemy and surprise them. Now I can't use these on myself but I can cast them on you. Don't worry you'll be fine this time." Both sisters hesitated but nodded anyway. "I'll cast Invisibility first...Saytanko!" Both sisters don't feel different but they then realized when they looked at each other. "We're invisible!" They both said in unison to each other. "Indeed, but you should still be able to see yourself and the person who casted it on you. Now, this spell will go off in a while so while we wait, do you know if you can get some wildmen for me? Wildmen are basically neanderthals but live out in the open instead of in caves." Celestia nodded. "Of course. I actually found a spell to create some while you were asleep. Allow me." Celestia used her magic and then out of the blue, six wildmen appeared in a cluster. Shenah then immediately casted her Convert Spell "Sunama" and from within the convert ring, six new followers for Shenah were converted to her cause. "My faithful followers, I have missed you so much. As much as I love to hear from you I'm going to have to ask you to start building our settlement." All six followers nodded and then start to go about building her village. "Thank you Celestia, our settlement will be thriving soon." Shenah then noticed that Celestia and Luna are strobing back to normal. As soon as they were visible, an audible sound was heard of the spell that wore off. "Oh it looks like the spell wore off just in time for me to use the Magic Shield now." Shenah then casted Magical Shield on the two of them. She didn't need to do a chant this time but a sound was heard that signaled the spell being cast. When she was done, Celestia and Luna looked at each other again and noticed there was a barrier in a blue color moving up and down in a sphere like area. "Magical shield helps protect you from all spells except for Hypnosis, Swamp, Earthquake, Angel of Death, and Volcano." Celestia and Luna got worried from hearing those spells. Shenah noticed this, "Don't worry, I'm actually not going to use them for the demonstration at all." Celestia and Luna then sighed of relief. "Now the next spell on my agenda is the Land Bridge. Is there a river nearby?" Celestia pointed a hoof towards a river to the right of them. "Yes there's one right there actually. I thought you might need it for getting food." "Excellent, let's head over there." They then walked towards the nearby river and Shenah found a spot that has the land most furthest away. She then chanted "Tuskatse!" and like magic, a bridge of land started to rise out of the water and connect the two lands together. Both sisters were amazed at that kind of terrain altering magic. "I can also sink it back. Watch." She then said another chant "Dasanko!" and the bridge of land then sunk back into the river to its original location. The Royal Sisters were amazed even further that this magic can alter the landscape at ease. Luna then spoke. "Wow, I have heard of terrain altering spells before but, these are beyond my knowledge." Celestia nodded. "I agree Luna, these are a new step in the ladder. I'd love to learn it Shenah." "Of course Celestia, after all we magical beings must stay together right?" Celestia nodded again. "Indeed, we like to hear as much from each other as we can." They all then went back to Shenah's settlement which was growing quite well. Homes evenly spaced, guard towers placed at points where enemies might come attack, and training huts placed in the back of the village. Everything was perfect and her population is increasing nicely. Meanwhile... In Ponyville, Twilight started to pack up to go to Canterlot to meet this new creature Celestia told her in her letter last night. She was so excited she could burst. "Spike! Do you have my papers and pen ready?" "Yes Twilight, it's all here. Now tell me why I can't go?" "Well somebody has to guard the library and you are my best assistant. Don't worry, I won't be gone long." She then gave Spike a gentle hug and started to head for the door. "Well goodbye Twilight, I hope you come back in one piece you hear?" "Oh Spike, you should know that I'll never leave you even if something bad happens." "Well okay." Twilight giggled and then waved goodbye as she headed for the Express Train to Canterlot. Twilight Sparkle casually trotted to the Friendship Express train station and started to book a ticket to Canterlot. "One ticket to Canterlot please!" The Ticket Booth mare turned and then gave a smile at the familiar face of Twilight. "Oh hello there sweetie, how's life in Ponyville?" "The same deal as every other day; reading." Twilight and the mare in the booth both giggled. "Oh dear, one of these days your brain will turn into a library and books will start falling out of your ears." Twilight giggled some more at the jokingly, admirable compliment. "Hey, It's not my fault there's so much to learn, blame the inventor of books!" When the laughs started to calm down, the mare gave Twilight her ticket to Canterlot. "Any reason you're going to Canterlot?" "Yes, I'm going to see my mentor princess about what has happened last night. You wouldn't happen to see that light too have you?" The mare shook her head. "No I can't say I have, I bet it was quite a sight by the way you are feeling now." She giggled. "Well, hopefully she has found out and is willing to give me some info about what it is." Soon Twilight's train had arrived and she was ready to board. "Okay, well be safe and behave yourself!" "Oh you know I behave well in front of our princess." Both mares waved goodbye as Twilight boarded the train and started to head for the capital. Meanwhile back at Shenah's settlement... Shenah's village (or should I say town because it grew so fast) has grown enough for her to start charging her spells up once again. It was nearing nighttime and both sisters Celestia and Luna decide they should return to the castle and await for tomorrow. Celestia spoke to her. "Shenah, we have to go. Are you going to be okay here?" Shenah nodded. "Yes, I have my own personal hut my followers built for me here so I no longer need to be in your hospital as you call it." "Well okay then. Luna you head for your night court, I'm going to bed as well." "Okay sister. Goodbye and good night Shenah, we will return tomorrow hopefully so you can show us more of your powers." Shenah nodded in agreement as both princesses flew back to their capital castle on the mountain. The Next Day... Shenah almost forgot how comfortable her hut was back in her dimension. She looked out her window and from judging by the angle of the sun, she knew it was around mid to late morning. She then had a knock on her hut door. "Enter." The door opened and came in one of her braves telling her that the magical horses have returned. She assumed they are the princesses when he said "magical horses". Both of them exited her hut and was immediately greeted by Celestia, Luna and another equine that is purple with just a horn and no wings. Celestia spoke up. "Good morning Shenah, I trust you had a good night sleep?" Shenah nodded. "Indeed Celestia, I almost forgot how good it was to be in my hut again." "Well, I'd like to introduce you to my faithful student, Twilight Sparkle." Shenah assumes that's the purple equine. Twilight's eyes beamed. "Wow, a real human. I never expected you to be the one who came from the light. It's an honor to meet a new species!" She held out her foreleg for a shake which Shenah happily obliged. "It's nice to meet you too. You know Celestia and Luna, I have told you about my dimension but, I believe you never told me about yours." Both sisters blushed in sync with shame. "I'm sorry, it never occured to me to tell you about ours. We thought you already knew." Shenah shook her head. "Well then to start, yes we are equine. We are refered as ponies. There are three independent species of pony, Earth ponies, Pegasi, and Unicorns. Earth Ponies help work the land. Pegasi can fly, walk on clouds, and help control the weather. Unicorns cast magic which can help others if needed. Me and Luna are winged unicorns, or alicorns for short. We possess the highest magic than regular unicorns and largest wings than pegasi. Alicorns are also semi-immortal, our bodies do not age once we reach adulthood, but we can still feel pain and can die under certain circumstances." Shenah had her mouth agape. "Wow, you are somewhat similar to what I am, minus the aging after adulthood. Thank you for telling me all this Celestia." "No problem my dear, now I believe we have unfinished business do we not?" "Oh of course, I'd never forget to show you more of my magic." Twilight did a crazy smile when she heard that word. "You can use magic as well!? That's amazing!" She started hopping like Pinkie Pie in place with excitement. "Yes, I do and I believe you weren't here when I casted my first set of spells. What the heck, I got quick time to show you." So then Shenah reshowed her spells before when she was with the princesses to Twilight. Each spell fascinated her and she always asked questions about each one after they were cast. Celestia and Luna couldn't help but giggle a little at her for acting this way knowing that she's Twilight after all. After all the spells were done, everyone was up to par for the next spell. "Those were amazing spells Shenah, I'd like to see more." "Don't worry you will. Lightning is my next spell up my sleeve." Luna immediately took notice and made a beaming grin. "You cast lightning as well? I thought I was the only one who can do it. You know, I can survive lightning." Shenah made an evil grin. "Well think fast Luna!" Shenah immediately chanted "Shoka." after her sentence and zapped Luna. Luna didn't react in time and took the bolt at point blank. After the smoke cleared, Luna was laying on the ground alive, but charred. "Not. Cool." Shenah giggled at the comment as Celestia helped her sister back on her feet. She then immediately casted a healing spell on her to clear the wounds. "You know Luna, maybe you shouldn't have boasted at her." She then found herself giggling before continuing on. "Though I must admit, I never seen my sister have such a charred mane like that." Luna glared at her sister but then started to laugh. "Well, I had it coming and I think Twilight Sparkle also took the message. Where is she anyways?" "Um, up here." All three looked up a tree to find Twilight Sparkle clinging to a branch. Celstia went to her for confort. "It's alright my faithful student, Luna is not badly hurt. You can come down now." Twilight nodded her head and slowly climbed down the tree and came back to rejoin the group. Shenah went to her and told her she's sorry that she had frightened her and that the spell is only used for enemies. Twilight felt better and immediately asked, "What's next?" "Tornado." Celestia and Luna had their mouths agape at this one. Luna was the first to speak. "Wait so you can control weather as well?" "You could say that, though I don't control all of the elements of nature just a select few." Luna nodded in understanding. Shenah secretly made an evil grin behind her straight face. "Shenak." All of sudden Luna, Celestia and Twilight were picked up by a whirlwind that took them all the way to the top and spun them around. After a few seconds they eventually got spit out and scattered. Celestia held on her student the whole time while Luna was by herself. As soon as the whirlwind came it dissipated (not after going a random path away from the point of cast) and Celestia immediately shot a glare at Shenah. "You did that on purpose didn't you?" Shenah rolled her eyes. "Maybe. Using it on the targets would be better but where's the fun in that?" She poked her tongue at Celestia. "Well you almost got my student hurt. Never do that again." She kept her glare at her. Twilight tried to calm her down. "Princess, you probably shouldn't fight somone who can cast powerful spells. She probably has more even more powerful spells that you don't know yet." Celestia heard that last sentence and softened. "You're right Twilight, I'm sorry. I just don't want to see my protegé get killed." "Actually, I kinda liked that. Even though it was unexpected, I enjoyed being carried by it." "So you're not mad at her?" Twilight shook her head. "Nope. It actually gives me the urge to know more." She smiled big at her mentor. "Sister, I too was a bit enjoyed by that prank. There's no need to get angry." Luna smiled gently at Celestia. Shenah then noticed that the day was ending soon. Twilight also noticed it by the angle of the sun. "Um princess, I think it's time we head back to Canterlot." Luna nodded. "Very well, I think we seen enough of your spells Shenah. If you need any help in the future, we're right here." Shenah nodded and waved goodbye to the three of them before going back to her hut. Twilight waved back on Celestia's back. "Bye Shenah, nice meeting you!" "You too Twilight Sparkle!" As soon as the three were out of sight. She returned to her hut to rest for another night. Unknowingly to her, Twilight, and the Royal Sisters, three more colored light beams appeared and dissipated all around Equestria...Her enemy rivals have arrived. Chapter 4: Death From AboveSomewhere outside of Ponyville... The Dakini tribe have arrived and immediately started to build a settlement in their location. Their shaman went and explored the area for any habitants they might take over. She then found a town nearby and what looks to be equines living in it. She made an evil grin and went back to her tribe. She then told her followers to start preparing an army to attack the newly discovered town. With her army ready, she went put on her mask and got her staff. Her army consisted of mainly warriors and firewarriors. They also have balloons for which she is currently using to lead the army. She gave the signal and they started to sprint towards Ponyville. The Dakini shaman decides what powerful spells she can use to destroy the town; Lightning, Tornado, Firestorm, and Earthquake. As they near the town, the pony residents took notice of the incoming army and started ran away in panic. She ordered her army to diverge and kill any living thing they find. One by one, ponies are either blasted or cut severely to death. The Dakini shaman smelled the blood of the fallen in enjoyment as she started to cast her set of spells. "Shoka!" Lightning burns the buildings to the ground. "Shenak!" Tornadoes tear other buildings to shreds while flinging ponies out of them. "Lakaiee!" The earth cracks and lava burns any ponies and buildings it touches. "Tomaga!" Raining fireballs catch ponies and buildings on fire until nothing but burnt ground remains. While all this chaos was happening, her men continued to slaughter the equines until none are left. Among the dead ponies were Pinkie Pie (While she was about to sing to them, she got cut in the throat and then burned to a crisp), Applejack (a stray tornado picked her up and flung into the lava created by an earthquake), Rainbow Dash (Balloons swarmed her and firewarriors blasted her out of the sky, but she did manage to kill some of them in the process), Rarity (the lightning burned her house and she suffocated in the smoke), and Fluttershy (another stray tornado tore her house to shreds and she was caught in the flying debris. Eventually she got impaled by a wooden board). When the last pony was killed, the Dakini tribe cheered in victory and immediately started to make a new base in their now taken town. Unknowingly to them, a few of Celestia's guards watched the whole thing from a safe, secluded spot in the clouds in horror and disgust. They immediately flew back to Canterlot Castle quietly so they wouldn't get spotted and shot down like the rest. Back at the castle, Celestia was busy reading letters from her niece, Cadance about the Crystal Empire. It was then that her two guards burst through the doors in high alert. "Your majesty!" One of the guards yelled. Celestia took notice and stepped down from her throne. "What is it my loyal guards?" "Ponyville has just been taken over by them humans." Celestia's eyes widened in shock. "What?! Was it Shenah's men?" Her guard shook his head. "No your majesty, these humans wore a different color clothing than her men." Celestia just stood in shock before replacing her face in anger. "Alert Luna and all the guards to meet me at Shenah's settlement, I must go see Shenah." "Yes, your majesty." Her guards immediately left to alert her sister and the other guards of the bad news. Celestia started to leave but then her student Twilight spoke up which kept her from leaving. "Princess, where are you going?" Celestia turned around and faced her student with a look of horror and anger. "Twilight, the town of Ponyville has just been taken over by another group of humans that are not Shenah's." Twilight took a step back in horror with her eyes watering. "Who would do such a thing and kill innocent ponies? We never had violence like this in the past. Why would this happen?" She then started to cry. "I know my faithful student, and I must tell you this. You must get the Elements of Harmony." As soon as she said that, one of her guards came in with an update which struck her heart in pain. "Your highness, after a thorough search, we found the other bearers." He then choked a bit before continuing. "I'm sorry but they're dead. They're all dead. Them humans killed every single one. I'm sorry that I couldn't..." He then sobbed as Celestia then walked over and gave him a sympatheic hug. Twilight heard this too and started sobbing as she hugged her. "It's okay, you probably didn't want us to get spotted and be the ones they killed next." He nodded and started to calm down before leaving. As he left, Luna came in. "Sister, I came as soon as I heard the news." "Thank you Luna, we must meet Shenah at once. She probably knows who these humans are than we do." Luna nodded and then took flight toward's Shenah's settlement. Celestia, turned to her student who was still clinging to her, crying her heart out. "Twilight Sparkle." Twilight looked up at her. "Yes princess?" "I want you to come with me to Shenah's settlement." Twilight nodded as she hopped on Celestia's back before she flew off towards Shenah's settlement herself. 'With the Element bearers gone, I have no choice but to have her fight to return harmony. She will need to be trained though, and I know just the person to do that. Shenah.' When they arrived at the settlement, Shenah was already standing beside Luna. She then walked over to Celestia. "I heard the whole thing from your sister. We're facing my most archrival tribe I've faced, the Dakini." Twilight spoke up. "Who are the Dakini?" "The Dakini are another tribe that I faced back in my dimension. They are the most aggressive and the most powerful of the three enemies I faced. They will stop at nothing until every living thing is killed." Twilight turned her head in confusion. "Wait three tribes? You mean there's more of them bad humans?" Shenah nodded. "I'm afraid so, and I believe they are around here too. I'm just lucky they haven't caused any havoc yet." It was then Celestia's turn to speak. "Who are the other two tribes?" "The Chumara and the Matak. The Chumara wear yellow clothing and they are the most trickiest tribe. They like to convert more than kill. While it's not as bad, you never want to get turned to another tribe at all. The Matak are the weakest of the tribes. They always want to let the others do the battles for them most of the time. When they have to attack, they use earthy spells which really isn't that dangerous." "I see, well if I hear any word from them, we're ready to face them." "Same here, I already have a small army patrolling my settlement that can protect from any attacks by my enemies. I suggest you command your army to do the same." Celestia nods in agreement. Shenah held her staff up in the air while it spews out energy. "I want to make sure that this the last time I want to see their faces here again!" Chapter 5: Building BridgesElsewhere in Equestria... The Matak have been busily making their settlement and scouting for any enemies nearby that might threaten their conquest. So far, everywhere they go it seems quiet; except one place a mile west of their settlement. The Matak shaman decided to send two invisible spies in a balloon over to their newly found disturbance. When they came closer to the source, they found a deep ravine filled with filaments of what looks like sticky green goo. Decending, the spies found a cavern entrance where more of the sticky goo is apparent. They quickly hid their balloon in a secluded spot next to the cave so whatever is in there can't find it and use it against them. As they steadily walked through the entrance and begun their trek to find out what is in here, they passed by empty shells of what looks like insect pupae. Even deeper, they approached a stone wall with a gate like a fortress would have. On each side of the gate were two insect-like equines. They have eyes are like a fly's, black bodies that look like swiss cheese, and apparent misfigured horn and wings also with holes. Luckily for the spies, the insectquines didn't notice them pass through their gate and into their cavern fortress. The spies took note of what is inside the fortress as they went deeper in. There seems to be hundreds; if not thousands of these creatures inside here. As they walked, they came across more pupae; some empty and some still having the creatures inside developing. Eventually the spies wandered long enough to find the queen's throne room. This room was the largest of the other rooms they went by and they can tell by the abundance of goo and lots of pupae. At the far end of the room the spies found "her". This insectquine was larger than the others and was clearly female by the apparent long mane and slim body structure. She seems to be asleep as she isn't aware of the spies' presence at all. The spies decided that they seen enough and quietly went back out of the cavern, retrieved their hidden balloon, and went back to the settlement. The Matak shaman was both intrigued and disturbed by the spies findings. Such a hidden civilization would be dangerous if they decided to emerge and suddenly spot them. The shaman wasted no time as she told her followers to prepare for an invasion. sometime later... With her forces ready, the shaman climbed into her personal balloon along with one of her firewarriors and lead the attack. After a mile of travel, they reached the ravine and started their decent. The spies now turned warriors told their shaman to hide their balloons in the secluded place they used earlier. With everyone grounded, the Matak shaman casted a couple of magical shield spells on her army for protection. Before they could storm in, she needed to get rid of the guards. She quickly casted invisibility on her former spies to discretely kill them so they can pass. The spies easily managed that as they just did a simple snap to the neck on each guard. She then told her army to rush towards the central hub but hide until she gives the signal. Her army bowed in agreement and they all went to their hiding places near the center. The changelings still don't notice of what will eventually become an ambush invasion by the Matak. The shaman provided a couple more spells of magical shield for extra protection in case of retreating, but she knows she'll win this battle easily since they're battling animals. She got into position and waited for the right moment to strike. Battle Music She gave the signal. Dozen by dozen, her army came out of hiding yelling their battle cry as they charged into the hub. The changelings had little time to react as the Matak warriors and firewarriors blasted and sliced every one of them. The Matak battle cries were so loud it managed to stur the queen, Chrysalis, from her sleep. She then became very angry about the noise. "What in Tartarus is that blasted noise? GUARDS! What is going on!?" As if on response, one of her guards came bursting through the door. "My queen, our fortress has been ambushed and is under attack!" Chrysalis was shocked at the news. "Who attacked us!? Celestia!? Luna!? That medling unicorn!?" Her guard shook his head at each answer. "Neigh, it is a new threat. Some kind of hairless apes attacked us!" Once again Chrysalis was shocked. "Well, whatever they are, they need to be destroyed at once. Sound the army!" But it was too late, their army was greatly reduced by the ambush the Matak had setup and they are storming towards the throne room. Chrysalis can hear the chanting getting closer, closer, and then...silence. Chrysalis did not like that one bit; sudden silence means something really bad is about to happen. On cue, her throne room doors were busted down by the Matak army; with the shaman in front. Chrysalis was fuming and immediately hovered over to the army. "YOU! How dare you storm into my beautiful fortress! You have messed with the wrong crowd. I will have my revengAAAAAA!" She got blasted by the shaman's blast spell which damaged her severely but not dead. The shaman also blasted her remaining forces; killing them in the process. Chrysalis had no choice but to leave her fortress. She has nothing to defend her and the blast spell damaged her horn so she can't retaliate. Chrysalis mustered whatever energy she had left and quickly left her fortress towards Canterlot. The Matak prepared to finish her but their shaman told them to let her go as she isn't much a threat no more. As Chrysalis flew towards Canterlot for help, thoughts ran through her mind like crazy about what just happened. 'What am I doing? I shouldn't be doing this...but, my babies are gone and I'm the only one left of my kind. Celestia, you better have the heart to believe me on what has happened to me and my changelings. I'll be damned if you do.' She eventually arrived at the castle gates. Celestia's guards immediately took out their spears. "Halt you changeling scum! If you think you are going to attempt to attack Canterlot again you are wrong. I suggest you go back to where you belong unless you want to deal with the princess." Chrysalis was frustrated and angry. "You idiots. Do I look like I'm attempting to attack your precious capital in this state!? My fortress was just taken over by some hairless apes with magic powers!" The guards' faces turned from anger to shock and dropped their spears. "Can you describe what they were wearing?" Chrysalis nodded. "I could tell they were wearing clothing similar to Zebricans and they were green in color." The guards became even more shocked, even a little afraid too. "I think the princess knows what you just faced. You may pass." The guards then opened the gate and Chrysalis slowly entered the castle. As she arrived at the throne room doors, she was once again halted by more guards. Chrysalis gave out a frustrated sigh as she retold what happened. The guards allowed her to pass and she entered the throne room. Celestia immediately noticed Chrysalis come in and immediately confronted her. Her face showed anger. "What are you doing here Chrysalis? Have you seduced my guards to plan for another attack on my capital again? I will not let that happen twice on my rein!" Her horn flared with charged magic ready to blast Chrysalis right where she was standing. Chrysalis looked at her with frustration and anger. "I don't have time to play with you princess. I want to tell you something that you might know." Celestia charged down her magic but still kept her glare on her. "Fine, but if this is some trick to take the city; your flank is history." Chrysalis shook her head. "This is no trick! Does this damaged body look like a trick to you!? Princess, I was ambushed by hairless apes. My population is gone, my fortress has been conquered, I'm all that's left." Chrysalis choked on that last sentence as tears started to form. "I came here so I can tell you if you know who these beings are." Celestia's face of anger turned into one of shock. "What color clothing were they wearing?" "Green princess." "Oh. My." Celestia knew from her meeting from Shenah that the people with green colored clothing were the Matak. The Matak have killed off the changelings except for Chrysalis. She really is telling the truth. Celestia must tell Shenah the news, but first she needed to tend to Chrysalis's injuries. "Chrysalis, you are a sick race to feed off love of other ponies, but I cannot bear to watch a race go extinct. Chrysalis, would you like to make peace with us in exchange for survival of your race?" Chrysalis weakly nodded. "Good, now lets get you fixed up. I will tell Canterlot hospital to tend your injuries until you are fully healed. You are welcome to stay in the guest chamber in our castle until tomorrow morning before you go." Chrysalis managed to make a small smile in which Celestia gave one in return. "Thank you. Princess. I will never attempt to attack anypony ever again. I will live in peace with them and learn what true love and friendship is." Chrysalis made her departure from the throne room to the guest chamber where she eventually went to bed to rest before leaving to go to the hospital the next morning. Prologue: The Journey BeginsThis is just an intro. The actual story will begin in the next part. Shenah POV: As I enter my reincarnation site for the last time, I start to feel the mana surge all over my body and into the heavens above. Around my site, my faithful followers gaze apon me as I start my journey into the heavens. Who knows what new challenges await me up there. In the end, I have a mana decendant to watch my tribe while I'm gone. She'll take good care of my people and protect them from any future enemies that my arise.
Chapter 1: Night FallsIt was nearing the end of the day and Princess Luna woke up just in time to raise the moon and start her nightly duties.
"I want to make sure that this the last time I want to see their faces here again!"
Chapter 5: Building BridgesElsewhere in Equestria...
