“Whoops!” I said, as I stared at the monster I created......
It all started on a warm, summer day. Fluttershy was coming over to help me with some new spell I was working on. I had told her the risks of helping me with these spells, but she insisted on helping me. She was on her way and I was preparing. One mess up, and Fluttershy could be 15 feet tall, or a man eating squid, or even, gone forever! “Twilight, what are you doing?” asked a little purple and green dragon. “Well, Spike, I'm getting ready to do some magic! Fluttershy will be over shortly.” Just as the words left my mouth, I heard a soft knocking at the door. “Oh! That's Fluttershy now!”. I opened the door and she flew into the library. “Okay, Fluttershy,” I started, “We're going to do some test runs before I start with the real spells.”. I started by turning Fluttershy's mane from its normal pink to a light shade of green. Then, I levitated her off the floor. The last test was switching her eye color from greenish-blue to red. “Okay, so the tests are over. Now for the real spells!”. I smiled an excited smile as I searched for the book containing the spells. “Spike, I can't seem to find my book. Have you seen it anywhere?”. “Right here!” he said, handing me my copy of Auras and Objects of Magic. “Thank you. Now, let's go!”. This is where I made my first mistake. I should have read the page right, because what happened next, was a huge mistake in itself.
My horn lit with a purple glow as the room lit as well. The room sparkled and glowed. It was beautiful, at least from a third person's perspective, but what was really happeing was evil in the making. All I remembered was Fluttershy's shrill screams of pain before I stopped. As soon as I heard the screams, I discontinued the spell, which was my second mistake. I had left the spell incomplete, which was one of the warnings in my book. But, like a said before, I didn't read it correctly. I looked around for Fluttershy, but for some reason I could see her. “Oh no! Fluttershy! Where are you!?” I yelled, thinking she had disapeared. “I'm over here.” came a soft little voice. “No, I'm over here!”. This voice was new, but sounded like Fluttershy's, only, harsh. As the smoke cleared from the room, I could see two figures. I heared Spike's voice from behind me. “Twilight, who is that?” he asked, frightened. I looked at it- this is about where you came in. I stared at it and it stared back at me. Fluttershy walked towards me. She looked weak and tired. “Fluttershy, are you, okay?” I asked. She opened her mouth to speak, but nothing came out. “Spike, can you please get Fluttershy a glass of wate- WHO ARE YOU!?” I screeched. She only walked closer to me. Finally, she spoke. “Its me, FLUTTERSHY! DON'T RECOGNIZED ME, TWILIGHT!?” the pony screamed. The pony DID look like Fluttershy, but she was blue instead of yellow and pink. I was puzzled for a few moments, but then, I rushed to my book. I read the next sentence from the book aloud. “Warning: If the spell is incomplete, the subject may spawn clone, most likely the worst of them shall be inherrieted by this copy.”. I dropped the book and looked at the two Fluttershys'.
I was still staring at them when Spike finally snapped me out of it. "Twilight! What are we gonna do?" he said. I thought for a moment, contemplating my options. I could just use a simple destruction spell, but this pony was half of Fluttershy's person. If I destroy her, I would be destroying half of Fluttershy. My other option was to ask Celestia about it. I decided that was the best course of action. Unfortunately, I couldn't get mean Fluttershy to go, so she had to come here. "So Twilight, what is it that has happened?" asked Celestia. "Well, you see, Princess, I may have accidentally made an evil clone of Fluttershy..." I said looking at her hopefully. "I see. I'm not sure what to do about this, but I will keep a look out for any spells.". I could was still wondering if the Princess was messing with me about not having a spell. I guess she wasn't lying because she left after that. "Twilight, I don't mean to be rude but-" "I do mean to be rude! So what are you gonna do about this!? HUH!?" yelled mean Fluttershy, cutting off nice Fluttershy. I thought again, but only one thing came to mind. "Trixie." I said. Everypony looked at me crazily. I was almost sure she could help. Even if she was an ego maniac with a know-it-all attitude. She may help. "We're going to see Trixie. Maybe she can help."
We walked over to Trixie's magic wagon and waited for her to answer the door. "Hello? Who is here to see the Great and Powerful Trixie!?" she asked behind the closed door. "Trixie! It's Twilight. I need help.". "Well, well, well. Twilight Sparkle! You need Trixie's help!? Well okay." she said. They all walked into her crowded wagon and talked for awhile. She and I discussed the situation. ",but you know, you don't have to help if you don't want to." I finished. "Oh, Twilight, I insist on helping! You can always count on Trixie!" she yelled."Well if you insist, then... okay! You do know the risks? I told Fluttershy the same thing, and she insisted too, but we all know how that turned out.". "And I'm not sorry Twilight! I should get to stay! Not this little shrimp of a pony! What are you? The Element of being a little coward! Ha!" she laughed in Fluttershy's face. Everybody tried to ignore her outburst, but it was hard to here a pony talk about herself, or its self, or someone. I was having a hard time keeping up with everything.
Trixie and I tried to use our joint magic to undo the spell, but it wasn't strong enough. "Hmm. Twilight, in the book it says you need a magic herb from the Everfree forest to make the spell work. You need a large dose of Red Ruby petals and magic dust from a unicorn's horn to make a cure." read Trixie. "Ugh!" I said falling to the ground.
