Nightmare Sparkleby Jeb4700ChaptersDeath and DespairTwilight SparkleThe battleDeath and DespairFluttershy "S-She had an accident?!" I whispered, peering up at my older sister. She nodded sadly before adding, "Sh-She'll be okay. I promise." I looked at her, and her face said she didn't believe it. I rushed up to my room and cried. My friend, she was going to die. "F-Flutter shy....P-please....Don't d-die.." I knew my whispers and my cries would have no effect towards her fate but...It helped to fool yourself. "Sweetie belle?" Rarity called from downstairs. I slowly wiped my eyes and dragged myself down stairs. I had been visiting and helping Flutter shy for the past few weeks. "S-Sweetie Belle..." She called to me softly, I trotted over to her. I looked into those kind blueish eyes of hers, weakening over time. "G-Go get the nurse....I-It's time." I looked at her, horrified. "W-What!? No Flutter shy, Don't go! Please.." She made a weak attempt at a smile, and a tear slid down her cheek. The nurse ran in without having to be called. "T-Thank you S-Sweetie belle....For e-everything.." Flutter shy's eyes drooped and closed slowly. Tears dripped from my face to the floor, "Flutter shy? Flutter shy!" I called, placing my hooves on the edge of the bed. The nurse dragged me close to her and held my shaking body. "It'll be okay, I promise." Rainbow dash and Apple Jack ran in. Laying eyes on Flutter shy's body they froze, Apple's face gone white. Apple bloom trotted in happily before seeing Flutter. "N-No...No.." Apple bloom stood there, shocked, muttering the word over and over again. Rarity ran in a few moments later, and crashed into Apple bloom and Apple Jack. I glared at her before charging at her. "You said she'd be okay! You lied! You're a liar!" I pounded my hooves against her before collapsing to my knees weakly. Twilight Sparkle was with the Princess, doing important work. She wouldn't know until later. "Sh...Sweetie Belle, I'm sorry. I-I didn't think..." She was interrupted by Apple Jack, "Yur right, Ya didn't think now did ya? You didn't think about this here little filly, Jus thought 'bout yurself." Rarity looked at Apple Jack sadly before nodding, "Y-Your right Apple Jack, Your right...I wanted to fool myself...And ended up fooling Sweetie as well..." She burst into tears, sobs racking her body. Rainbow Dash went and stood next to Flutter Shy's already cold body. She nuzzled her head softly, "You were 20% cooler in the end, kid." Rainbow Dash "Scootaloo? Scootaloo?" Twilight Sparkle called from the den. "Yeah?" I asked, trotting up to her. She smiled weakly. "Y-You look well? How's the crusading?" She asked, she was avoiding something...I could tell... "Twilight, I have my cutie mark," I nuzzled my flank to show her the scooter with wings on it, this is probably the third time... "I don't crusade anymore, neither does Apple Bloom or Sweetie Belle." She nodded sadly. "Get to the point!" I shouted at her. She looked at me sadly, "R-Rainbow...She's c-crashed.." I stared at her for the longest time before it finally registered in my brain. "She....CRASHED?!" I wailed, "SHE'S RAINBOW DASH, DASH NOT CRASH!" I galloped past her, the tears welling in my eyes. It was hard to conceal them, but harder not too. I burst through the hospital doors, and crashed through the halls. The nurses and doctors called security. I finally broke through to Rainbows room. Everyone looked up. Everyone but Rainbow. "Sc-Scoot....Ya finally came, kid.." She wheezed. I looked at her, wrapped in bandages, a wing missing. Soarin was beside her, eyes filled with tears and terror. Apple Jack was holding her hat to her heart, Sweetie Belle was crying beside Rarity. Pinkie Pie was sitting in the chair nearest to the door, ready to run away from her fears if Rainbow...died. Flutter shy....Well, I imagine she's watching from her spot in heaven. The Princess was next to Luna, looking down at Rainbow sadly. Rainbow was wearing her Mane 6 metal. "R-Rainbow...W-What happened? Tell me!" I whispered, my voice getting louder with each word. She heaved, her breath labored. "I-I was trying to d-do a s-sonic rain b-boom....Y-your birthday w-was coming u-up, I know h-how much you l-like them....K-k-kid." The last word took so much effort it sent Rarity over the edge, she started crying immediately. "M-My birthday?" I trotted over to her, and looked into those Rose Red eyes of hers, "You're going to die because of my birthday!?" The tears were fighting now, trying to push their way out. She nodded weakly. Suddenly, she froze before shaking violently. The nurse looked at her with horror. "S-Scoot! G-Get over here!" Rainbow cried, Soarin took Flash and Bash, their two children, a colt and a filly, underneath his wing to shield them from the sight of their mother dying. I trotted over to Rainbow, the tears finally spilling over. Rainbow Dash looked at me, her eyes showing no emotion. "S-Scoot, You're the best f-friend a filly could ever have," She wiped a tear away from my eyes with a hoof. "D-don't forget that." And with those final words, the gleam in her eyes slowly faded. "Rainbow?" I cried, "Rainbow!?" My last shriek echoed through the halls as security came and grabbed my by the hooves, dragging me from where I stood. "N-no! Let me go!" I screamed at them, pulling and kicking. My snorts and whinnies went silent as they clamped their hooves over my mouth. I kicked and shrieked but to no avail. They carried me out of the room, all of the ponies looked terrified. I managed one last scream before they closed the door, "Rainbow!" Apple Jack "See y'all soon!" Apple Jack called as she walked to the market. I smiled lovingly at my sister. So tough, So honest. The thunder roared in the distance, rain poured onto the farm. "I hope Apple Jack is gonna get back soon." I said to Big Macintosh sadly. He simply grunted, "I don't know Apple Bloom but, maybe you can paint to keep ya busy. It'd help." I nodded. Grabbing a canvas from my room I painted the scenery, the dark yet beautiful clouds, the delicate moon shining through the sky, the rain bouncing off the ground. It was all so beautiful. "Hey...Sis...Let's go look for 'er." Big Mac called from the door. I trotted up to him, he asked me to show him my picture before we left. He looked at and smiled. "It's beautiful sis." And with that we trotted out the door. "Be careful!" Granny Smith called. We couldn't see two hoof steps in front of our faces. "Apple Jack? Apple Jack where are you?" We called from where we stood. Something moaned. "C'mon sis, let's see what's wrong." We galloped towards the noise, it sounded like a wounded animal in more pain than it could bear. Blood. Even with the rain pounding as hard as it was you could clearly see blood. Unwashed, red, gooey blood. Big Mac slid to a halt and told me not to look. "Don't you even think about it Apple Bloom! Dontcha look!" The temptation was to great. I looked at my sisters bloody body, Gorey and gooey. Gasping I put a hoof to my mouth. Big Mac shook his head sadly. There was Apple Jack but.. She had cuts and bruises along her body. Her head was bleeding heavily and her flank was cut with what looked like a horn. Her cutie mark was destroyed and unrecognizable. "A-Apple Jack!?" I screamed, falling to my sisters side. She didn't open her eyes. Her flank rose and fell weakly. Her breath was labored. Big Mac pulled me from my sisters side and held me, making sure I couldn't see my sisters gasping and bleeding body. "Great Celestia, what happened Big Macintosh!?" I screamed into his chest. "Ah don't know." He replied sadly. Suddenly, the bushes rustled and Rarity stepped out, eyes gleaming. She took a step towards us, "What have you two done?! This can't be reversed." We took her to the hospital immediately but it was too late. Twilight and Pinkie cried, holding desperately to each other. Rarity was helping Sweetie Belle, who was puking in the bathroom. Princess Luna looked gazed at Apple Jack sadly, wishing to have stayed home. She placed the Honesty metal thing around Apple Jacks neck. A thought bounced through my head. She wasn't honest. She didn't see us soon. She lied, even if unintentional. I blinked, and then dried my tears against Granny Smith, who was leaning against Big Mac. Rainbow Dash, Flutter Shy, even Princess Celestia could be seen next to Apple Jack. I blinked, and blinked again. They were dead, they shouldn't have been there... Twilight Sparkle looked and I could tell at how her face turned white, she saw them too. But they were gone just as soon as they came. "Beeeeeeeeeeeeee..." Apple Jacks time had run out. I ran to my sister and held her hoof. "You will always be honest. Even if you weren't that one time.." I kissed her forehead and walked out, starting the journey of my life without my big sis. Rarity I grabbed Rarity by the horn and shoved her into the dirt. "Yer kind isn't welcome here, we don't accept killers." My voice rumbled as I glared at the bloody and beaten body of Rarity. As she keeled there, begging for her life, I decided, "No mercy." She whispered, her voice hoarse. "Y-You're going to kill me, aren't you?" I grinned, "Eyup." "Sweetie Belle, do you know where your sister is?" Sapphire Shores asked, walking into the store. "No Miss Shores, she left a little while ago." I responded, looking over my new sheet of music. Scootaloo walked in, shoulders sagging. "Sweetie Belle," She looked me in the eye sadly. It must have been really important, we haven't spoken since Rainbow Dash's death. "What is it Scoot, I'm kind of busy at the moment." Annoying, I don't know how I didn't see it earlier. "R-Rarity...She's gone Sweetie Belle...They just found her body." My eyes went twice their normal size. "Y-You. You're a liar!" I shouted at Scootaloo. This wasn't happening..This couldn't be true! Galloping out of the shop I ran towards the train station, Sapphire Shores close behind. "Hurry, we need to get to Canterlot right away!" I shouted to Sapphire Shores, who had slowed down because of her dress. We were soon at the Canterlot hospital, and just as Scoot had said, Rarity was long gone. "Sweetie, I'm so sorry." Apple Bloom whispered to me, although it wouldn't help. I scowled at her, we hadn't spoken since Apple Jack died. She blamed everything on Rarity so we lost our old connection. I looked at the mangled body that was my sister. They had cleaned up the dirt, mud, and blood that tarnished her beautiful skin and mane but...There was still traces of blood stained on her purple mane and brilliant glowing skin. Her horn was smashed, no magic would ever come out of it again. "Sweetie Belle." Princess Luna prodded me with her hoof. I looked up at our new Princess. She covered me with her wing and whispered, "She killed Apple Jack. She had it written in Apple Jacks blood, her journal spoke all about it. I'm sorry." I looked at the Princess shocked, my whole world crashing to a stop. Pinkie Pie and Twilight Sparkle nodded sadly. Spike...Spike committed suicide when he found out. Princess Luna placed the Generosity metal around Rarity's neck. I couldn't take it anymore, I galloped as fast as I could out of there. Nothing hurt worse than seeing my sisters dead body. I crashed into Big Macintosh, who had surprisingly not been in the hospital room near Rarity. They had been dating for a few months. He looked down at me eerily. "Y-You.....Do you know?" He nodded, "Eyup." Blinking fearfully, I understood why he wasn't in the hospital room. Even with his red coat you could clearly see traces of blood. And purple hair. Taking a step back from him I tripped over my own tail, "You....You monster!" I shouted at him as he trotted closer, grinning eerily. Looking into those cold dead eyes, I saw my life flash before my eyes. "Eyup." Pinkie Pie "I love you." Discord said, grabbing onto my hoof. I smiled, looking up at him. I put on my best silly filly face and made him laugh. I enjoyed this, after all, I WAS the element of Laughter. Discord led me through the grave yard to Rainbow Dash's grave. Discord knew I loved it hear, it always brought me so much peace. So much serenity. "I know you love it here," He whispered with a flick of his tail, chocolate rain poured down on us. "Oh Discy.." I cooed to my beloved. Twilight wouldn't approve but, she's gone insane. It took until Celestia's death for it to happen, but we all knew it would happen very soon, what with all the deaths. We were the last of the Elements Of Harmony... The thought struck me every so often, and when it did, I felt a wave of pain and sorrow crash over me. The last of the Elements Of Harmony... The others were gone... Never coming back.. More thoughts invaded my head as I looked at Dash's grave, her death caused by a fatal crash. I like to believe I did it...But I cant take credit...It was too beautiful of a crash. Discord smiled at me lovingly, I couldn't help but smile back. He was my future, He was my past My present And my future And I loved those facts. But...The facts that my friends were gone...They destroyed me inside... Flutter shy had an accident Rainbow Dash Crashed Rarity killed Apple Jack and then was murdered...By who knows who except the killer... Twilight's gone mad over the death of Celestia.. That's right, Celestia's gone too. I looked to the stars, to the moon where they had given wings to Twilight and banished her. Celestia... "Sweetie, are you okay?" Discord asked me, concern clouding his voice. I nodded happily, "Yeah, just a little nostalgic. I'm fine." He grabbed my hoof and we trotted away from Dash's grave. We'd be back soon, but at least for now, I could say goodbye. In peace. Twilight SparkleThe letters Dear Princess Celestia, You've been gone for awhile. Where did you go? I miss you so. Anyway, Today I learned not all rumors are true. You should listen to both sides of the story, not just one. ~Twilight Dear Princess Celestia, We've just found out about your death, everything's a mess. No pony is the same. Everyone's just...Well, you're in the sky, you know. I didn't learn anything about friendship, I haven't gone outside since the news spread through Equestria. ~Twilight Dear Princess Celestia, COME BACK NOW! I ORDER YOU TOO! I AM YOUR BETTER ~TWILIGHT F*CKING SPARKLE Dear Princess Celestia, Twilight Sparkle has gone insane. She can not handle life without you. Today she learned knives make fun toys. ~Spike Night calls Looking upon the ashes of the Royal Guards and my brother with enraged eyes, Luna snorted. I took the opportunity to charge. She looked up just before the impact. "Stop!" Princess Cadence shouted from her place on the balcony, but it was too late. Tumbling on my back I looked up to he garish nightmare that was Luna. She rested her horn on my stomach and pain surged through me, it was unbearable. I screamed, wriggling and writhing. But it was too late, I knew what was happening. "Luna...No!" I shouted, the pain becoming too much for me to bear. Baring her powerful teeth, her horn glowed brighter and brighter until nothing but a blinding white light could be seen. Screaming and howling, I wished for it to end. I knew what was happening, Celestia knew I did! Taking hold of Luna's head in a final attempt to break free, I bashed it against mine. She screeched, in pain and suffering. Looking to my flank I saw I had wings. I looked at Princess Cadence, my eyes cold and heartless, before flying off. I didn't have much experience but I did study Pegasus bodies. I could hear Princess Luna's loud voice boom and echo through the forest as I raced from the castle. Nothing would ever be the same... That night, more Royal Guards broke through the doors of the library, where I had holed up for a few hours. I knew it would happen, I just didn't think it would happen so soon. I'll admit, Luna has the will and determination of a true Princess, though she'll never be one. Stomping their filthy hooves over my books they came straight at me. Kicking and snorting, I protested as they dragged me from the library. "T-The Elements of Harmony will put you all to shame!" I screamed at them, aiming my insults at the dark night sky. "The Elements of Harmony I tell you!" I screeched, trying to kick one. He caught my my hoof in his jaws and twisted it painfully. I looked at the dark stallion, his mane a stunning silver, eyes a brilliant blue. Coat as dark as night. He was truly something, too bad he was on the wrong side. I screamed, agony and pain surging through me, reaching my core. Luna dropped beside the stallion and told them to drop me. I fell to the ground with a dull thud. "You know what will happen to you now, don't you?" She asked, looking down at me. I nodded weakly, in too much pain for a sneer or insulting response. She lifted her hoof and slammed it to the ground, once, twice, three times, before her horn glowed a fiery red. Bracing myself I readied myself for the journey. Darkness clouded my vision like fog. When I opened my eyes again, I saw darkness above me, and cold white ground below me. I was in a crater. I slowly got to my hooves, and saw the shadow cast on the earth. I was on the moon, but the shadow cast was of me, not Nightmare Moon, as it once was. I was the nightmare. The realization scared me, yet it came with a thrill. I, was the nightmare now, ME! I would strike fear in the hearts of ponies for years to come, if I didn't put a stop to Luna's reign once and for all. Oh, this will be a very fun eternity. And with that, I started my plot against Princess Luna. Twilight Sparkles Revenge I will leap through space and time to get back. Scrambling to my hooves I ran at the edge of the cliff, towards earth, towards Equestria. Jumping off I faced a problem, How will I land? Looking at my wings and grinning I stretched them, opening them. Heart pounding with adrenaline, I glided through space. Why didn't Luna do this? The cold space air felt amazing on my wings, causing me to glide faster. Slowly I realized what was happening, pushing straight ahead I was performing a Sonic Twilight Boom, not sure if that's what it was called but...I soon pushed through the air holding me back, glancing back I saw darkness swirl through space, and slowly fade out beautifully. Equestria needed a hero, I was that pony. I was the only one who could save Equestria from Luna. Pushing through the cold space air, I saw Equestria's features perfectly. Along with some other towns and cities. Focusing my eyes and gliding straight ahead, I saw the shadow of my Sonic Boom fall against the earth, it was larger than I imagined. Nearly there...So close... I was almost to the Castle, where Celestia once lived. The thought made me glide faster than ever before, until finally I was so close I could see Luna's shocked face, her fearful eyes flickering back and forth. Yes, be afraid, be very afraid. Twilight will do more than just bite. Crashing onto earth, I realized I miscalculated. I was in Ponyville. I crashed down onto earth, and everything imploded. There was nothing but dust left. When I emerged from the ashes of Sweet Apple Acres, I saw ponies staring at me, and staring at the Sonic Boom. Upon collision I saw Royal Guards were still in Ponyville, something I hadn't counted on. Facing the ground, I allowed my horn to glow. Opening my eyes I saw the fearful eyes of the ponies who had once lived so calmly, now lived in fear. I was the cause of it. And I loved it. Electricity shot from my horn, everything went black, when my horn faded to it's normal color I saw what I wanted to see, graves. But not just graves, Hooves and horns sticking up fro the graves. The dead were coming back, something that had to happen. I saw Rainbow Dash, Rarity, Apple Jack, all of my friends. Big Macintosh looked at Rarity, fear clouding his vision, when he saw Rarity was looking right at him, her dead eyes blinking. All of the dead soon emerged. The Royal Guards were flustered, trotting and galloping, trying to get the screaming and snorting ponies calm. Ha,ha. It wouldn't work. Rarity charged at Big Mac, Rainbow charged at Pinkie Pie, Apple Jack charged at anyone and everyone, barreling through them. Flutter shy was no longer shy, she had become what I wanted her to become. Flutter DIE. Apple HACK. SCARity. Rainbow CRASH. The words and names were beautiful. All of the dead ponies charged after the four. The ponies who were alive looked in fear, terror, anger. Some charged back, others were ripped from their sanity as the hundreds of ponies charged. I laughed. "Twilight Sparkle!" A voice screamed in pain. I looked to see Pinkie Pie staring straight at me, eyes painfully dark, as Rainbow Crash collided with her. The dead knew nothing of what was going on, they only knew revenge. Sweet, sweet, revenge. Discord flew over the crowd, his eyes scanning for his lover. "Pinkie!" He called when he found her. I wasn't letting anyone help her, I was the only Element of Harmony that mattered. I collided with Discord, surprise registered on his face a moment before his Lion like courage allowed him to attack. We bit, kicked, and clawed each other for longer than anticipated. Finally, I got fed up with this game. Using my horn, I threw him off of me, slamming my hoof into his side painfully. "Crunch!" I heard a mother cry for her child. I slowly looked up at the mother, and I saw here already staring at me. I grinned, teeth bared, And I did what I had to do. I charged at the mother. The battleNight against Nightmare As I neared the poor mother, she dodged, instinct kicking in. But she wasn't fast enough, grabbing the back of her neck with my teeth I turned my head sharply, and let go, sending her flying. She screamed as she hit the Carousal Beauitque, Her lifeless body slumping to the ground before slowly rising again to walk among the dead. Her eyes were now as dead and cold as the rest of them. News that a Nightmare had escaped their prison rang through Equestria fast. I instantly knew what Nightmare had escaped by the colors flashing through the sky. Thunder boomed loudly as the clouds started to pour rain onto us, It's as if the sky was crying. Looking to the heavens I whispered, "Celestia, help us. I know you are gone, but please." Hoof steps sounded behind me, "Luna, It's time to go." The Royal Guard, Baron, said. I looked into Barons brilliant blue eyes, his stunning silver mane, jet black coat. He truly was Royalty. Opening my wings, I took to the sky. Luna crashed through the sky, I watched her scan the scene before her. It was truly gruesome. Dead ponies walking, ponies dying, and then there was me. Twilight the Nightmare. I was now tall and thin, much like Nightmare Moon was, but, she's now Princess Luna. Flicking my tail with a snort I looked her in the eye. Her eyes slowly faded from blue to black, before becoming a blazing red. "Surrender Nightmare Sparkle. Accept your fate." Grinning ear to ear, I snorted. She clearly underestimated me, the great Nightmare Sparkle. Hoof steps were heard from behind Luna. I looked as Spitfire, Soarin, Fleetfoot, and all the Wonderbolts stood next to each other, wings outstretched. Trixie followed them, along with the Diamond Dogs and an Ursa Major, an actual Ursa Major, no Minor. I gasped as more of my old foes and friends stepped out from behind Luna. They were on HER side?! Laughing I yelled over to them, "This'll be fun!" Charging my horn, I got ready to fire. I looked over at Rainbow Crash, who was staring in awe at the Wonderbolts, giving Pinkie Pie enough time to slink away from her attacker. Damn fool, Rainbow is. I shot the nearest thing, when suddenly, something blocked my enraged shots. I looked up to see Sweetie Belle, eyes closed in concentration and frustration, using her magic to stop MINE. Scootaloo landed on the ground, scooter sliding on the pavement. Apple Bloom rushed in and charged straight at me. I dodged easily, but not before she cut into my side with her paint brush. I winced as Scootaloo charged at me, the Cutie Mark Crusaders coming straight at me, followed by Trixie, the Wonderbolts, and finally the Ursa Major. I took to the skies before diving down, causing another blinding Sonic Twilight Boom, causing all alive ponies to stagger back weakly. I. Am. Not. Being. Defeated. By. Weaklings. I looked at Flutter Die, Apple Hack, Scareity, and Rainbow Crash, my creations. My children of the night. "Attack!" I shrieked to the dead ponies. I was surprised to see the ponies step from behind me, and the Ursa Major and Diamond Dogs. "What art thou doing?" I asked Trixie, who looked at me. "We are helping you Luna, you are the rightful owner to the Throne as of now," Soarin whispered, looking over to his dead mate, Rainbow Dash. Their kids suddenly came crashing through the underbrush, Sonic Rain Booms bursting. The filly, Raina, caused the brightest. The colt, Boomer, caused the loudest. Outstretching my wings, I got ready for battle. We would win, and Nightmare Twilight would be banished forever. I will stop at nothing to see her cower before me. As the dead ponies charged at us, We charged back. Raina and Boomer fighting off the Pegasi with the Wonderbolts, Trixi against the Unicorns with Sweetie Belle, and Apple Bloom and Scootaloo with the Diamond Dogs and the Ursa Major against the earth ponies, and finally, myself against the greatest foe. Nightmare Sparkle. This would be interesting. Pinkies Part In Battle I remember faintly of the day after Celestia died, Twilight had whispered to me, "Pinkie Pie, save me from myself. I fear I may go crazy if someone doesn't help me." I laughed and shook her words off, I regret it horribly. Lifting a hoof, I shielded my eyes from Rainbow Dash's kids Sonic Rain Booms. They were so bright, so brilliant. I looked around for Discord, and found him by the hooves of Nightmare Sparkle. Slipping away from the dazed Rainbow Dash, I hurriedly ran to him. The battle field was covered in blood, and dead bodies coming back to life do to Twi-Nightmare Sparkles magic. Discord whispered weakly, "Y-you know something Pinkie? I think our lives a-are just there....No r-reason, j-just there..." The impact of what he was saying hit me hard, the center of my heart screamed with agony and sorrow. Our lives, they did not matter. We would die, and our lives would be for nothing. No one would remember us in a thousand years, no one would care. We would die, and possibly forget everything...Everyone...They would be zapped from our memory forever. I shook my head and collapsed beside Discord, "Please Discy, don't die.." I looked to my swollen stomach and cried, "We have children on the way! You can't die! I wont let you!" I stood to my hooves and looked around for something to stop the blood flowing from his handsome head... All I could see was the battle raging on... And then I remembered something... "Rainbow Dash, Flutter Shy, Rarity, Apple Jack!" I screamed to my deceased friends. They looked over at the sound of their names being called. Big Macintosh kicked Rarity off of him. I ran at each of their graves, faster than I had ever ran. "Come here, all of you!" I shouted, they obeyed, only because of my assertive tone. Digging around in each of their graved, I found what I was looking for. "Apple Jack, come." I called to the earth pony, who obeyed. I placed the Honesty metal around her neck, and instantly her skin glowed and she came back to life, for the moment. I did the same with all four ponies. They all blinked, seeing their bodies return to their old form. Standing tall, I yelled to them, "Twilight Sparkle has destroyed herself, she is beyond help, but you four, You four have potential! Apple Jack, Rainbow Dash, Rarity, Your family are fighting against Nightmare Sparkle now." They looked to see Scootaloo, Sweetie Belle, Apple Bloom, Boomer, and Raina fighting against Nightmare Sparkle bravely. "Flutter Shy, look." Flutter Shy looked to see Angel holding up a small sword, and yelling. Animals poured in from all directions to help the ponies defeat Nightmare Sparkle. She looked at them surprised. "Your friends, your family, They need help! Let us help them take back Nightmare Sparkle, and possibly gain Twilight back!" Rainbow Dash countered, "We need a sixth member dim wad." I nodded and grabbed Twilights crown from my saddle bag. "Leave that to me." Galloping away from them, I left them to battle with their loved ones. "Trixie!" I shouted to the powerful Unicorn. She looked over for a moment before going back to her magic, cape fluttering from the tornado she and Luna had caused. I placed the Element Of Magic crown on Trixie's head before galloping towards Nightmare Sparkle, my Element Of Laughter charm starting to glow. "Hey, 'Hero'!" I called mockingly to the Nightmare, She looked over at me, eyes wanting to kill. I gulped, scared for a moment, before charging at the Nightmare. The war wasn't over, and I couldn't back down now! Opening my eyes slightly whilst running I saw a blinding rainbow coming from all of the Elements Of Harmony charms and Crown. We were ready, Ready for battle. Regrets of a Nightmare "Who are you? You're not Twilight Sparkle, Unicorn of Equestria." A voice echoed through my head....What? Of course I'm Twilight! Right? Tears swelled in my eyes as I forgot where I was for the slightest moment, but then Something, someone called to me. "Hey, 'Hero'!" I looked down to see a young pony, no, not young...Just smaller than I was. She looked familiar....Pinkie? I looked past her and saw all of my old friends....Oh Celestia! T-the voice was right...I'm not Twilight Sparkle....I'm some garish Nightmare, a hollow shell of the pony I was...Where did I go? Where...Where... "Enough Nightmare!" Another voice screamed at me. I'm a....Nightmare? I looked at the battle field, and immediately remembered. Celestia was dead...And Luna was Princess! My sanity drained again, the voice telling me who I wasn't died. I had my regrets, but this wasn't one of them! I looked at my 'friends.' They were my minions before Pinkie Pie turned them against me! I was surrounded by ponies, good and bad. Evil and splendid. Dark side and Light side. Staggering to my hooves I remembered...I remembered what I could do. It was the only answer. Looking at ponies surround their loved ones, trying to protect them, gave me the brightest idea since bringing up the graves. "Chrysalis!" I called, facing towards the heavens. Moving my hooves apart, I bared my jaws and got ready for another cry. The ponies looked at me. Eyes fearful. "Twilight, stop it!" Pinkie Pie shouted at me. I looked down at the small pink pony, in my eyes, she was nothing... She was once a friend but....No, I wont think about the past. A surge of electricity flashed from my horn, and I was enveloped in sorrow...Everyone, Every Pony, was watching flashbacks of me and my 'friends.' It had been so long... I saw Rarity and Sweetie Belle at the Sisterhood Social. Pinkie Pie and that griffon...Gilda. Rainbow Dash saving the Wonderbolts and Rarity Apple Jack saving us from the stampede Flutter Shy trying to be assertive Spike....Oh god....Spike helping me... I couldn't watch anymore...The memories flooding through me....They were...T-too much... Collapsing to my knees I was forced to watch the other heart warming memories. My old friends, they smiled and cried happily as the memories flood their minds. Luna laughs as she sees herself scare Pip. Shivering and shaking I slowly gather myself. I see her in the distance. I want to scream and shout and run to her but...I cant do anything but watch. Celestia. I saw her stop me from destroying myself when I was just starting out in the magic world. I saw her at the Grand Galloping Gala. Everywhere I looked, there were images of her. Images of the beautiful, brilliant, Celestia. After her was a sorrow filled wave of Spike...The little dragon who helped me throughout the years, who fell in love with Rarity, who was my little buddy....Who died...Who I could have helped....... Bursting into tears I cried and screamed silent cries. No one heard anything but Spikes voice, Spikes handsome, innocent voice. Covering my head with my hooves I sobbed silently. Spike was gone. Celestia was gone. The second this battle is over... My friends will be gone. I wont let the battle end. It was simple. "Dear Celestia," I heard myself start to say, Spike writing as it went along. When it entered his death scene...We were all confused. The death scene didn't show. Blinking, I opened my eyes, waiting for it to flash through my mind. Foot steps were heard echoing. "What's going on here?" A familiar voice spoke. Raising my head, the memories faded slowly, and Spike stood, staring at all of us. The end of Nightmare Sparkle Everyone looked at Spike surprised, including the walking dead. "I...I...Wha....Hu...He's....SPIKE?!" I stammered. He looked at me, confused. "Who are you?" He asked. My heart shattered within me. Spike...My old friend....He didn't recognize me. Peering at me, realization covered his face. He looked all around, "Twilight!?" I nodded slowly, my hate slowly fading away. I looked at him for the longest time before he turned around and waved to something behind him, "We found them, Come on!" My eyes widened as Celestia walked from behind Spike, her tall form contrasting against his small shape. "C-Celestia!?" Luna gasped, rushing to her sister, burying her head in Celestia's coat. Everyone except the walking dead rushed to Celestia. No. The battle was not over. Nor will it ever be. I glared at Luna, my hatred growing and glowing inside of me. Rearing up on my hind legs, I whinnied. "The end is nigh!" I said, bringing my hooves down onto the ground, sending it splintering. Looking down in fear, I saw the ground beneath me disappear. Spike and Celestia looked at me, fear and confusion in their eyes. Luna screamed, "For you!" I whinnied and snorted in terror as I slowly disappeared beneath all of the ponies hooves. Outstretching my hooves, I attempted to fly up to the sky, but the dirt and rocks falling down upon me soon broke one of my wings. I howled in pain as I tumbled to the bottom of the earth. End. Or is it? Epilog. It had been years since then, Momma told me so. Her and Daddy had told me Nightmare Sparkle was gone and the walking dead returned to their graves, Spike became the Queens guard dragon. Princess Celestia and Queen Luna ruled side by side. Giggling, I brought my lion foot and eagles foot down on the ground where Nightmare Sparkle had crashed through. The ground suddenly disappeared. My giggling ceased as a pair of glowing purple eyes peered at me from where I had broke the ground. It was a small hole, barely a claws inch but...The eyes could be seen clearly. "Katara!" Mamma Pinkie and Daddy Discord called to me, scrambling away from the hole I hurried to them, my brothers and sisters teasing each other with their tricks and kicks. I took one glance back to see a purple hoof stick up through the ground.
Death and DespairFluttershy "S-She had an accident?!" I whispered, peering up at my older sister.
