Twilight's True Love.

All seemed normal in Ponyville that day as Twilight awoke from her deep sleep. she stretched and groan as she was sore from Pinkiepie's party last night feeling a little hang over from Applejack bringing her famous spiked cider. Like usual she went to the mailbox and put the mail on the table so she can read it during breakfast. she made a lovely breakfast consisting of orange juice, hay pancakes, maple syrup, and to top it of a cupcake from Pinkie's party. Breakfast she yell to spike who always wanted to sleep more during the winter be cause he was cold blooded. She ate her breakfast while looking at the mail. She looked and sorted them saying of course "Junk, junk, bill, bill, no name, bill..."pausing she looked at the one that had no name or return address puzzled she opened it reading "Twilight Sparkle this is your last few weeks of life so enjoy it while you can. You will die by the end of this month by my hoofs." Shocked the first thing she could think of was to contact Celestia and her brother Shining Armor.

Spike I need you to take two letters down. Spike looked and said "To whom does the second letter go to?" Twilight shouted at the dragon saying "My brother of course. If anyone can help me its the commander of the Royal Guards. Captain oblivious really of all things you could have asked, you of course had to ask that one." Spike wrote the two letters quickly as so Twilight would not get any madder at him. Not even ten minutes afterwards her brother walked in luckily he was in Canterlot prior to a meeting with the princess. "Twiliy I received the message and came here as fast as I could. who would wright such a horrid letter?" her brother said. Twilight looked at him and said "I don't know. I have been nice to everyone." Suddenly a tall buff looking Stallion walked in and stood next to her brother. "Oh" her brother said as he noticed the large alicorn standing next to him "Do you remember this big lug" said her brother teasingly. "No" she said questioning where she may have seen this stallion before. "I don't recognize him" she said contently. "Oh come on Twily this was our best bud all the time. He even baby sat you sometimes." her brother exclaimed. The only thing that came to mind was her brothers best friend Star Saber, but Star Saber was never buff and tall before. Her brother's friend was a little shorter than him and kind of scrawny. "Star Saber?" she said questioning herself if this truly was the pony her brother was friends with. She saw a grin crack across the stallions face as he began to speak. "I have gotten taller haven't I Twilight" as Star saber said in a booming voice rivaling Applejack's brother Big Macintosh. "Wow" she exclaimed. "Its been forever since I have seen you. So you are in the Royal Guard too?" she asked looking at the uniform that was more vibrant than her brothers. "Nope" He Exclaimed.

"Then why are you wearing a uniform?" She asked awkwardly at the stallion. "Twilight" her brother started "He's not in the Royal Guard because he is the commander of the newly founded Elite Royal Guard. That's why I was in Canterlot." "Wait a minute" She said confused. " I thought you were the commander of the Royal Guard." "I still am Twily" He said reassuring her. " He has more control than I do, but only in emergencies." Twilight looked at Star Saber and asked "What is the Elite Royal Guard?" He Chuckled and said "The Elite Royal Guard is a group of stallions that are faster, strong, agile, smarter, and more advanced in their skills unlike others." Twilight scoffed. "I highly doubt you can beat me in magic then if you want to try, seeing as you are an alicorn and alicorn's can preform magic. Am I right or am I right" "Mam" Star Saber started " My magic can make your magic look like a parlor trick, so unless you want to be embarrassed in front of your brother I suggest we not partake in the challenge you so desire." " Chicken" Twilight exclaimed. No little time after she said it she walked into nothing but darkness.

She looked back and saw the alicorn smirking as he had opened a path to another dimension with ease. " That's impossible" she said as she walked out of the doorway to another dimension. "That is level twenty magic!" she said. "I'm level twelve how can this be." looking at the chart with twenty five levels of magic on it. "I'm level twenty-two" Star Saber exclaimed. "Unfortunately I can't go any higher unless princess Celestia allows it." "Really but I thought anyone could get to level twenty five" said Twilight confused why the stallion couldn't get any more training in magic. Her brother interjected saying. "Ever since the changelings hurt princess Celestia ponies are no longer allowed to get that high in magic levels. Unless allowed by the princesses in a unanimous decision."

Twilight felt heartbroken knowing that suddenly the level of magic could become barred just out of her grasp. Suddenly another royal guard raced in telling her brother urgent news. "Changelings have been spotted on the outskirts of Canterlot." "OK thanks for reporting" Shining Armor replied. "Send everypony in the royal guard to find and capture the changelings at once." " Yes sir" the guard pony said and flew off. "Well Twily I have to go. Be careful and don't hesitate to ask Star Saber anything." "I will" his sister said loudly as he flew of in his carriage.

"So" Twilight said. "What do you do for fun?" The stallion stared at her with his emotionless face and said. "I sword fight others to get better." Twilight looked shocked at what he said thinking; is this the stallion I remember. "What about seeing friends?" she said hoping he had some in town. "My friends are in the Royal Guard and are now busy hunting changelings." Twilight looked perturbed like she looked at the stallion who apparently now only cared about the Royal Guard. "Is there any way I can talk you into seeing my best friends." she said hoping he would say yes. "NO" the stallion said blatantly. Something snapped in twilight like when she was late with the letter she was supposed to send to princess Celestia about friendship.
