Unforseen Consequences

Prologue

"Hurry up already, I want to see it!" complained Rainbow Dash. Twilight was finishing up her newest invention, and had invited her other 5 friends to see it. "You've been in there for like, forever!"

"Dash, it's only been five minutes," Twilight retorted. "Be patient."

"Yeah, don't you rush 'er now," glared Applejack, who kneed Rainbow Dash in the side. Dash returned the glare.

"Al...most...done! Got it!" exclaimed Twilight with excitement. "Come in!"

"Finall- holy horseapples, look at that thing!" exclaimed Rainbow Dash in shock and awe as she pranced in. "That thing takes up half of the library's room, for crying out loud!"

"You like it?" grinned Twilight. "I call it the Traveler's Treat 9000." "With it, you can travel through time and the multiverse!" she exclaimed with a strong sense of pride in her voice.

"Now we can explore any time period or place we wa-"

She was cut off by a large flash. Everypony covered their eyes. A large, strange creature in a blue suit materialized out of the flash.

"Greetings, Equestrians." it, presumably he, said. He eyed Twilight's machine with a undescribable expression. "I have come to simply say, enjoy your new inventions." "But," he countinued. "Be cautious, or prepare for unforeseen consequences." And just like he came, he was gone.

"What in tarnation was that?!" yelped Applejack.

"I don't know.." replied Twilight, not sure what to say.

"Guys, come on!" huffed Rainbow. "It's just some weirdo who can't keep his nose out of other ponys' businesses!"

"But he was so... threatening" whispered Fluttershy.

"It's okay Fluttershy, he's just a meanypants," assured Pinkie. They all looked at Twilight.

"Well, let's gooo," Dash said, her impatience getting the better of her.

Twilight sighed. "Well, okay," she sighed. They approached the machine.

"Alright, before we go in, let me go over the rules. Hate to treat you like foals, but I don't want any problems. First of all, please, oh PLEASE don't touch any levers or buttons unless I say to. Second, don't lean on anything, because you might knock into something on accident. Lastly, when the machine turns on stand as still as possible. Got it?" Everypony nodded. "Alright, let's go," concluded Twilight.

They stepped into the TT9000. The whole thing was a mass of levers, buttons, and screens. Everpony's mouths were agape.

"Ready?" grinned Twilight, pleased with their reactions.

"Ready as we'll ever be," shrugged Applejack. Twilight pulled a large lever down with her hooves. A large flash similar to the one the suited creature had appeared from blinded them all. Everpony was dazed, but recovered after a few seconds.

"So where'd we travel to?" asked Rainbow Dash out of curiosity, once the effect had worn off.

"Well, the screen says we're in some place called.....Ravenholm," she replied, he face suddenly full with worry.

"What's wrong, sugarcube?" asked Applejack.

"It was supposed to take us behind the library. I had to test it for something, and decided to invite you guys. And now the machine needs energy." she replied.

"Don't worry silly, I'm sure the ponies here will help!" Pinkie reassured.

"Yea-" Twilight started before Rainbow Dash interrupted.

"Can we stop being dramatic and go?" Rainbow Dash retorted.

"Ok." said Twilight. They stepped outside. They were in a dark, quiet town, and had only a chirch behind them.

"Well, let's get this dern thing over with," sighed Applejack.

Suddenly, a bellowing laugh was heard. All six ponies turned their heads' towards the sound. "What's this? Ponies?! How in God's green earth did they get here?" the creature bellowed.

"Um...hi?" replied Twilight.

"Wow, you can talk? Are you from an alternate universe or something?" the creature said, and then laughed. "Ever seen a 'human being' before?"

"Well...we actually are from an alternate universe, and before we traveled here, we were greeted by another crea-..human like you.

"Well, my eyes see it, so I believe it." shrugged the human. "By the way, my name is Father Gregori. Why don't you gals

come over here?" he opened the door of which the building he was in. (Gregori had previously been leaning out a window.)

Anyways, they all came to the human, and he began to tell them about the place they were in.

"This town we're in; it's called Ravenholm. Besides you, there are no ponies or horses here. Also, I'm the only human here. The rest of the town is full of what I like to call my 'congregation'." he explained, and then laughed.

"What's this 'congregation' made up of, if there's no other ponies or humans here?" inquired Rainbow Dash.

"Zombies," replied Father Gregori. The six ponies's jaws dropped.

"Holy horseapples.. that's messed up, sugarcube," remarked Applejack. Fluttershy and the others nodded in agreement.

"Let's get you some supplies," said Father Gregori.He showed them to a room full of supplies, and they all packed up.

"Alright, let's go this over with," declared Twilight.
