Colonial Marines: Friendship is Survival

Load Full StoryThe screech of the Xenomorph pierced the air and the marines ears in particular as the grenade blew up and knocked him down while blowing the legs of of the alien.
The blast alone was enough to send the marine back and the shotgun out of his hands and stun him a little. The blurry vision was filled with the clouded and rainy sky that was outside of the nest. That was suddenly blocked by more darkness as the Xenomorph attempted to stand and grab for the marine.
He looked back to see the shotgun lying within the secreted resin of the hive. The marine stood up and tripped when a claw wrapped grasped his ankle. He turned around and began to kicking the Xenomorph to get it off, proving no success as it crawled and rose above him on its remaining leg.
The soldier reached for his knife to cut it, luckily stopped by the alien he pushed his arm away. The young marine was thankful, he knew that the way he was gonna cut the alien, acidic blood would have sprayed all over him. His arm that held the knife was pinned down as the alien leaned it's head forward and extended it's second mouth. In a fit of panic, the marine swung his head while struggling to get free from the grip as tight as a vice. During so, he swung his head forward and felt it collide with the Xeno, followed by a crunch and sizzling. Acid blood dripped down, making the marine quickly run to the rain as the xeno flailed on the ground with it second mouth smashed. Looking over he grabbed his shotgun and pumped a shell, backing away a little to make sure there wouldn't be any blood on him, he fired into the aliens head and made it explode.
He breathed in and out from the rush he was experiencing. His heart was beating so loud he thought it would attract more Xeno's to him. Another shell was pumped as he held the shotgun with shaking hands. The marine quickly coughed and leaned over and puked on the ground from the fright he had. Wiping hi mouth, he stood up.
"APPLEBLOOM!" An adrenaline fueled yell sounded from him as he waited to hear an answer. Yet with his heart beating in his ears, he wasn't sure if he heard back or not.
"Fuck it." He said to himself as he ran. Running with such high speed and precision one would think he could outrun all the Xeno's that were on Equestria.
"Where the hell would they take them?" He thought out loud. "I can't be the only marine here in the hive."
Or left for that matter, the soldier knew that he had to find the very little amount of marines that were still left alive.
On his own, too.
'Fuck, who's left? We had ten? No, nine left.' He thought. 'At least, if I find them in time.' His mind was running as fast as he was as he turned to find himself in an empty room with a lone hatched alien egg.
"Shit!" He yelled louder than he should have.
The Marine tip-toed forward as he cautiously approached the egg. He leaned the shotgun in it and checked to find it empty.
'Fuck!' He yelled in his mind. As if instinct took over, he turned around to see if it was behind or above him. Nothing was there.
He spun around one more time to the sound of something skittering across the floor and screamed as a Facehugger jumped at him.

Dear Princess Celestia,
This isn't a friendship report that I normally send. I have a personal issue that I fell that you could possibly help me with. It's about a dream that I keep having. In the dream I'm running from these creatures that I know are not from this world. They stop at nothing but to catch me. They're like a dark entity that consumes anything with darkness. I was hoping you could contact Princess Luna about these dreams, since they've been occurring for almost a week now.
- Your faithful student, Twilight Sparkle.
Twilight used her magic to roll the scroll. She levitated it over to Spike's bag and placed it in. Looking over she could see the baby dragon snoozing away. She gave him a warm smile. She was very close to the tiny dragon. She had raised him herself when he was an infant. Now she couldn't believe that he has to take a trip for business at his age. Not even Twilight herself would have handled it when she was his age.
That's when she remembered how Dragons age. Spike was at least five years old and would be that size for around fifty years. Twilight smiled and whispered " I'm proud of you Spike." Before she could get to emotional, she shrugged the thought and continued with her day.
"Restock on Quills and ink." She read aloud as Twilight scanned her to-do list.
